Ok, thanks for the reminder. I'm looking forward to the predictions and more over, to the results.
U
What have you got so far? Are you going to post the predictions that you have?
flp. Agreed but, I don't think we are trying to compete with the pro's. The Tools that I have examined are of great "home" quality with nifty extra features. Additionally, you will see that at least one of the screw drivers, though not sure that the target market is meant to be specific, may appeal more to women.
Also, and this is very cool, there is some very clever "collector" type packaging on one or two of the Tools that should be a big hit.
U
I don't know why it would be computer generated but, what if it is? We saw and held one of these Tailgate Power units in CHDT office back in February.
U
Good morning board!
The fresh beginning of yet another week. Where does time go?
U
No chat about the race at all? Our boy finished 30th! Little-by-little!
SL, ok, I just said $0.10 the other day for 1Q08 end. With your permission, I will revise that to $0.06.
Q2 $0.06 STP sightings and sales begin to trickle in
Q3 $0.10 Fathers day sales & Q2 numbers big. PPS placements.
Q4 $0.15 New STP retailers and PPS sales. Something new.
Hey, I'm no heavy-hitter stock analyst like some of you all but, there are my predictions. These are much toned down from the last go-around. I understand now that this is going to take a little longer than I previously had imagined and Howard has advised as such.
I show a rather linear price increase throughout 08 and fully expecting real acceleration beginning in 2009.
There are many unknowns that could influence PPS - both to the downside or to the up. I'm placing my bets that we'll see the upside. Sales, strong sales, new placements, new products, placements, sales, etc. And, I'll bet there is a wild card or two and, something really spicey straight out of left field thrown in for fun.
U
flp, "Did you buy one?" That is an oustanding question and one that should not need to be asked.
U
Ok, good excuse. LOL I'll give you this one.
U
Does anyone else have intention to meet Howard and crew?
Deerfield Beach?
I didn't miss it.
The hard thing for some to understand is just how HUGE this is.
U
Good morning everyone!
Another week comes to an end and we're another week closer.
U
PatD, Why wait for Christmas?
pp, I may be a little naive at times but I never doubted, and don't now. As Howard himself admitted, frustration has crept in at times but, not doubt. Everything is being well planned and carefully calculated.
A much larger distribution of Tools may become available sooner than we might be thinking. As the products come to our areas, everyone that has an investment in this company should buy products as they become available, and post honest reviews here and with online retailers if applicable. Support the hands that feed us. And, I'm thinking prime beef a commin', baby!
U
pp, Did you ever doubt it?
U
Yes, this is a waiting game.
My wife decided that she is going to pick up some more though.
U
flp, It is fact that they are directly involved in research and development. It is not a stretch for one to assume IMO that Clorox is involved in marketing. However, I am not privy to details of the latter.
U
SL, No, I didn't miss it.
And, I won't argue your train of logic there however, we were talking about booklights and G.I. Joe flashlights then. Now we are talking about booklights, Simply Comfort, 55+STP branded products, consumer electronics, and what else to come? Pluse IMO, and significant, direct involvement of Clorox in the development, testing, marketing, and, one day, promotion of the STP branded products. This is now.
U
I can't emphasize this enough so, I feel, it's worth repeating. It is all about Capstone! We have no reason to mistrust Capstone
Capstone!
U
SL and everyone, we must remember that Howard is the frontman for CHDT Corp. It is the management of Capstone that is largely responsible for the current successes.
Capstone has never failed us. Spread this word!
U
My 12/31/07 prediction for end of 2Q08 PPS was $0.10. This means by June 30. If Father's day is the "Big Day" for sales or, "Milestone", if you will, then $0.10 may not come until early July on reports???? However, I'm going to stick with $0.10 by June 30 - I can be a gambler. Who else will play the guessing game with me?
U
SL, You have been generally pretty accurate and I have often publicly agreed with you. I should have listened closer and held of on some of my buys. I don't think you are far off here either. I am extremely happy, as we all should be, that the ship has left the port and, in some, relatively near term, time frame (soon), will set sail. As I have said many, many times, patience with CHDO will pay
U
I sent in most of these questions but I don't think he ever got to the email questions
1) What are Clorox representatives saying about STP Tools?
And, does Clorox have to approve each item?
2) Is there an expectation that Clorox will ever assume an active role in promotion of STP Tools?
3) How many units are currently being shipped to Kragen stores?
4) What is the current production capacity of STP Tools manufacturers? Future capacity? Capacity assurance?
5) Are Clorox marketing and sales experts involved in any way?
6) What are Clorox sales forecasters forecasting for 2008 sales from Tools?
5) Has there been talk with Clorox of other future product lines?
Just got a report from my wife that our Walmart has a Capstone Book Light end cap display with a large number of models. No more detail. I'll go check it out and report back with more detail.
U
Yes, flp, Clorox didn't bite on the STP Tools idea for nothing. And, I'm sure they paid high dollar just for the idea.
U
"the global market for power tools (home use and construction grade) in 2009 is projected to be $29.2 billion"
"With the launch of the power tools and automotive accessories, we will be entering additional distribution channels that include DIY and hardware stores, automotive parts chains and farm & fleet stores, but also will be introduce the new line to the applicable departments within our existing customer base."
Which includes "Target Stores, Wal-Mart, Meijer, Staples, Office Depot, Barnes & Noble book stores, Fred Meyer/Kroger Stores, Costco, Scholastic Books, Rite Aid Drug Stores. These distribution channels may sell our products through the Internet as well as through retail storefronts and catalogs/mail order."
souvenirs or Tools,.....um,...TOOLS!
"We decided to sell SDI’s business in order to: (i) focus on our primary business line, Capstone’s consumer products; (ii) eliminate a secondary business that was not contributing positive cash flow on a consistent basis and, constituted a drain on resources needed, for the Capstone consumer product business line; and (iii) to obtain cash to fund Capstone’s consumer product business, especially the STP®-branded power tool product line introduced in October 2007."
Oh, yah! Good report from your talk with Reid. Reid is a gem. Patience will pay.
U
Ok, taking bets on what time (and date for the skeptics) the 10-k will be submitted?
U
Anyone pick up more at bottom today?
Yes, patiently waiting......
Holy Cow! And, soon to add STP Tools.

Isn't it 504 Kragen stores?
How many Kragen stores?
Another thing that struck me very positively is the amount of competitor paraphernalia lying about for study and comparison. Advertising and packaging documents also lying about, and obviously being used and even referred to during conversation to make a point. These were from many of the hottest products and campaigns out there today. I got from this, that he/they take making STP better and they take the campaign very seriously.
Reid spent quite a long time with us. He basically came out of retirement to work with Stewart on this STP project. And, he is about as excited a person I’ve ever met and happy as can be. I found it very interesting and comforting that he is a stickler when it comes to packaging. Packaging is everything. Some of the packaging for the STP tools is unique to say the least and will be huge in the market place.
And, I’ll tell you, it doesn’t seem to be about the money with these guys. They already have money. It is about the game and about successfully developing a product and successfully marketing it.
Stewart has the pull - in attracting qualified staff and with business contacts. The staff he has assembled are all old successful business partners and aquaintenances like Reid Goldstein. I think that Reid was involved in the development of Super Glue! How powerful is that? Stewart is everything to the success of STP Tools.
