I doubt it. HIV tests are already extremely abundant within the county. I really don't think that is in the minds of the SFDA. The hold up is due to probably multiple things within the SFDA:
corruption,
unorganization,
the shear size of applications,
priority (may not see it as a priority and keep pusing it off),
lack of Calypte/Beijing Interaction,
etc, etc.
My opinion only.
Not sure...its important to note that even though the volume has increased, the cash changing hands is still minimal (1.5 mil shares only equal roughly $100,000). This could be Fusion selling some of their free shares.
I don't think "Can" is the right word and therefore it doesn't really pertain to an Option. It is a forced transaction from Calypte.
I don't believe Fusion has options to exercise.
This link does not work.
Volume has really suspiciously grown this week. Something good or bad could be pending.
haha...I could listen to you speak (write) all day.
I don't know why anyone would ever put Blood on ignore. His opinions may differ from yours (ours), but he is obviously extremely inteligent and always willing to take the time to read through all the financials. I appreciate his input and I think we can all learn from it.
Who are these guys? Wow, Cato...if you don't know who they are its fair to say you have done absolutely no DD.
"Would have been nice to learn of size of India paramilitary order. It must have been embarrassingly small to have been omitted. Or did I inadvertently miss it when I skimmed the 10K?"
The tests were sold in the 1st quarter. Not sure why you think they would be included in the Annual 07 10K. Going to have to dig through the quarterly report to see if you can find something. Should happen around May 15th.
Your question uses the word WHEN, which implies that there will be one. I don't believe that is a safe assumption...I have reminded Roger about his goal of continuing quarterly conference calls...maybe they are waiting until Mid May.
I suppose, I don't remember the details of the agreemnt and am busy with a CC at the moment. Was Calypte to get 20% of the revenue or 20% of the profits? Based on the numbers, it looks like revenue...but that doesn't seem correct.
Not so much funny (maybe for you of course) as dissapointing. However, it does benefit Calypte that Maxim seems to be sellings the tests well. If you notice in 2005 the jv portion was $0, therefore I'm concluding these amounts are actually part of the Maxim agreement. Calypte is getting paid money for virtually no work (marketing, production, selling, etc.)
"Is Calypte receiving 1.2 million from Maxim Biomedical as its 20% sshare of the profits for legacy products Calypte gave to them. If not, how do you explain the 1.206 million figure on page 36 of the 10K?"
I believe you mean the bottom of page 35. This amount represents the Minority Interest in Losses of Conslidate Joint Ventures. They made 517,000 last year. I honestly don't know what this is, perhaps it is the Maxim profit sharing. Strange that they wouldn't mention this else where.
So???? We have heard that the past 3 years. Am I missing something?
After Hours Friday 10K? Best time to sneak in the bad news.
This is a micro cap penny stock, the DD has to go beyond that. If you did only that, you would never buy a penny stock (which is why a lot of people don't). SPECULATIVE, GAMBLE, HIGH RISK/HIGH REWARD -- call it what you will. I have only money in this stock I can afford to lose.
Hey, don't over generalize "all longs"
"There is one way to get a feel of what is going on. If the Arabs are buying in the 100,000,000 options at $ .08, it should indicate good news. If however they are sellers at $ .052 to $ .10 be prepared for the worse."
Well, they haven't done either...so what does that mean?
BTW - I'm definately one of the Riverboat gamblers, It could pay off huge or be a big dissapointment.
However, the process of making sales in the Middle East, in Russia, in India and China, less so in China, but in those other three countries, in particular, we believe we are on track. We have not deviated from our efforts to sell. And looking forward to early next year, what we haven’t sold this year we believe we will be selling next year.
Here's some more:
More pathetic than a person who is obsessed with a Pulbic Company for no apparent reason.
Sadder than a man who posts on stock message boards even though he has no vested interest in them.
More of a "Spinner" than Blood and Facts from CBMC message boards.
More queer than a 61 year old man who is infactuated with a another man he's never even met (Tony C.)
Hey Blood...no hard feelings? Take these with a grain of salt. -- Your a smart egg, there is definately something more to you than you let on...maybe one day you'll let us know.
Do you have OCD?
You know it. Honestly, Andrew at CEOcast is the first IR that consistantly responds to my emails/calls.
I contacted IR about that awhile ago and got some "run-around" responses.
Anyone else think they may try to offset negative earnings news (10K Release), with some positive announcement? Seems like something they would do.
I know now more about the Chinese New Year than my own.
Thanks.
This stock: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Per IR: Calypte is keeping a low profile within a context of total compliance with any and all regulations regarding disclosure of information. Information which could be used to put Calypte at a competitive disadvantage or cause a disruption in their markets will NOT be distributed.
Keeping information hidden for a reason? Maybe the numbers are really going to suprise?
I wouldn't bet on it.
· The SFDA can then take up to 40 working days (about 2 months) to issue its final approval to us.
Well lets see, Technical review was approved 1/24. Therefore, today we are looking at about the 37th business day. Take into consideration Chinese New Year (probably 2 days off) and we are at 35 days. Could be any day.
Then again China seems a little preoccupied in a few other things (rioting Buddhist Monks, Olympic Boycotts, etc.)
I'm not on either side Cato. I just don't like being manipulated, it easily could have been a mistake by Roger.
I know this is old, but did anyone else find this interesting.
When Roger was asked about the status of the Mineseeker contract, he stated "The Mine Seeker contract is currently in abeyance. I will remind you of the circumstances. The Mine Seeker contract had two components. The first was we were to receive an order of between 1 million and 5 million tests for South Africa via the Mine Seeker Charity, which has the considerable support of Mr. Nelson Mandela. The second part was that we would receive an investment of up to $3 million from a group of investors who were aligned with and supportive of the Mine Seeker Charity.
We have worked over time to try and persuade them to complete their investment since it is a binding contract. Nothing has been forthcoming but it is something which we have to deal with early in the new year, either close down that contract or at least open it up again and invite them to once more participate in the funding of the Company. We have no view on whether or not they will accept our invitation to invest again in the Company."
Roger says let me REMIND you of the circumstaces, as if it was mentioned before. That was the first time I had ever heard or read that the Investors were directly related to the Mineseeker sale. The way he said it was unsatisfying to myself.
Secondly, if it was a Binding Contract aren't there legal processes that should have been taken. Perhaps they couldn't afford the legal litigation? They mentioned they would "deal" with it early in 08. Wonder why no update.
According to last July's presentation for Capstone, Calypte projected 15 million in revenue for 2008. So in order to be on pace for the year, they need about 3.75 million a quarter. I'm going to go out on a limb (being sarcastic) and say they are absolutely no where near that number for the 1st qtr. We should find out in mid May.
Okay OR, where you from by the way? I was just trying to make the point that people get all excited when it sells a few cents higher, but yet when the the stock dives from .23 to .095 no one really seems to put that in perspective.
Come on OR, don't go "pumping" the stock....I know you're better than that. Doesn't look good to have our Moderator cheerleading unnecessarily. There was only about $40,000 worth of shares traded. I own more than that...if news was really leeked, we would see volume in the multi-millions. JMO
According to the movie movie "PI", there are patterns in everything. Maybe you can find the Fibinocci sequence and tell us the exact date of the next news release. My calculations are March 19th.
NACO crakdown on iniffiecient tests are creating a lack of supply. Purchase some AWARE tests already!

I don't think the reason was ever mention as to the Termination of J&G. They did mention they wanted to have their own local presense, hence the MENA office.
I believe you are thinking of India in regards to the comment about changing distributors (they were looking for someone larger)...no update on that as well.
What do you mean by "no news?"?
Agreed...thanks Ott.
I actually requested to be Moderator and was going to do some updating myself, you beat me to the punch.
Great, thanks!
Thanks Dan,
I was once a moderator before and was still not able to figure out how to update the ibox. I'll give it another go around.
Hey all,
How do you update the ibox? I would like to had some pics, charts, etc. to a certain stock board.
TIA
