What do you make of all this? If I am understanding evertyhing correctly, it appears as though they have sold or will be selling some tests to the Tianjin Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
I think I'm lost in transalation though.
Looks like the Aware Messenger to me.
Again, all I get is the same link.
What are we looking at here? The link is exactly the same as Concops.
New to me. I really hope this isn't the distributor Calypte/BM has chosen -
Suzhou Firstall Electrical Machine & Technology Co., Ltd. specializes in the design & manufacture of power transmission machinery motors and alternators. What does any of that have to do with Med. Diag. tests!?!
Anything specific to Calypte? I can not open this for some reason. TIA.
Didn't do much for the stock price.
You obviously don't have a blackberry. It takes seconds to put it together, to say that has any revelance into how hard he is working, is nonsense.

I can't find a mention of which tests are being used, but it sounds like Kenya is finally pieceing together some unique strategies to test as many people in the country as possible.
Will have to copy and paste link.
He sounds realistic and honest, which is admirable, considering some of the other ceo's who completely mislead shareholders.
The real probably here is we (myself included) actually bought into the crap that Roger Gale was saying and came to believe the company was at a turning point 2 years ago. Well, by the looks of Don's email, he seems to be implying the company (when he took over) was at a complete stand still and bottomed out. I think we were hoping that Roger actually had made some progressions and Don was just coming in to finalize some sales, goals, etc.
I can except the fact that not all companies are sucessful, but I can't except the fact that I feel mislead.
I do not see any mention of a "promised update 60 days after he started" as you just said. Don't spin the words.
Maybe you did not understand the English? Let us know what was said and we can maybe help to better transalte.
Mr. Taylor is good at responding to emails. I have not been disappointed with his replies. He will not indulge in current conditions of Calypte as he should not. It is illegal. His reponse usually consists of "I am working extremely hard to turn around this company that has lost money for the first 18 years...it will take time, but we are on our way - please wait until due time"
Hi OR, I was not able to open up this link. Would you be kind enough to copy and paste anything pertaining to Calypte.
What a joke!
Who is going to pay $4,000 for a report that contains Agreements and MOUs from 4-5 years ago!?!
"it seems to me that they're privvy to information that regular investors are not."
--Come one now, we all know that is illegal and our stock market is a very ethical place
To be honest, I doubt they have any more information that we do.
Marr is headquarterd in a tiny African island?
Are you sure? I just figured they were always based out of Russia or the U.K.
The only thing I will say is that Don is working extremely hard to turn around this company.
I have sent the email. Have you?
"I'd give Don a quarter before asking for a CC"
I don't think they have a quarter. His goal in Don's own words:
"I hope to have a plan and execute to it in fewer than 60 days from my start date."
I suggest everyone emailing DT: dtaylor@calypte.com and suggesting that he at least hold a CC to update investors and personally introduce himself. We have not heard a single word from him.
No time to watch it all. Does the video mention that Calypte produces the test? I did hear him call it "breakthrough" technology. It would be nice to have people at least hear the word "Calypte" to spread the word of their tech.
"The C.D.C. has known of the new figures since last October, when the authors completed a manuscript and sent it to the first of three journals. But the agency refused to release the findings until they were published in a peer-reviewed medical journal. The first two journals rejected the authors’ request for a fast-track review."
-It's in the artical OR posted.
" Will be interesting to see the revenue from this test in the next week or so."
I take this back, just realized all the reports were generated in October of last year.
Thanks for the links OR. Good work. This is surely Calypte's Incidence test that has given the recent results. It's good news to hear that the are finally figuring out how to use this technology correctly. Will be interesting to see the revenue from this test in the next week or so.
"are all gone? i think, we are alone now"
What do you mean by this, was it in reference to the link? I didn't see any mention of Calypte in the article.
Just like the China approval....right?
Cynical of course.
The new website does look really good though.
Your comparison is worthless. You are garnishing the .50-.75 range from a rapid hiv test. These are collection devices that can be used for ELISA tests.
Its not intended for rapid HIV testing, your're comparison doesn't really hold up.
"perhaps something new is there for somebody"
What do you mean by this?
10Q is due out until Mid August. I wouldn't expect any news out of Calypte in the near future. If there was a large pending order/significant milestones on the horizon, I don't think RG would have left (or forced out). I still think they are pretty much at square 1 with trying to land any sales. Even with 3 years plus of marketing/word of mouth/etc. in China, they haven't been able to mark the first product sale. What happens in that manufacturing plant!?! There's obviously nothing to manufacture. Are people on call in case they get a 100 unit order?
India Moving to Rapid HIV Testing
Blood Testing
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/India/A_finger_prick_for_HIV_test_/rssarticleshow/3194717.cms
Calypte has a blood test don't they? Just haven't ever sold it.
I think Don will be okay with me posting this. I sent him an email just wishing him the best with his new job and asked a few questions here are his responses:
"Thank you for your kind words. I will be in Portland frequently and have already been there twice. The real work to do is out in field, which in Calypte’s case means the Middle East, China, India and elsewhere. Which is why I am setting off on a major trip this Friday around the world to see where we can bring in revenue fastest. I will do my best to communicate to the shareholders, but first we must move as fast as humanly possible to work on revenue."
AND
"Thanks. The 1st 90 days of any senior position is the most critical. I hope to have a plan and execute to it in fewer than 60 days from my start date. No gurantees of course, but that’s what I’m working towards."
I like the go-getter attitude.
Thanks Cato, my translator wasn't working.
What does this say?
Hey Cato,
I saw this article about a week ago and checked it over. One of the articles a read had a picture of her getting the test done. It appeared as though she was getting her finger pricked (blood test). What ever happened to Kenya's announcement of using Calypte and Orasure's OMT test.
Well this is good news at least in the short run. Calypte has another few months to make something happen. I'm surpised the new guy will be both CEO of a UK company and a Portland, OR, USA company. How do you balance such a thing and how can you expect him to dedicate his entire effort into Calypte? At least Roger only really had one job.
Looks like he has some good marketing abilities, but nothing in Bio-Tech. This is another MARR guy, hopefully he has a better result than Roger.
These are not Calypte's tests. Wonder if these are SFDA approved? China is filled with Piracy products and are still sold. Scheilko...please email the contact at this place and ask them if they have SFDA approval. Thanks.
Sales@hotgenbio.com
I agree to an extent Cato. I think Calypte needs to leverage this in their sales presentations when the client is deciding between Orasure and Calypte. (they do come head to head for bids in South Africa)
