According to my dd, 2.1 million tests have already been purchased and are currently available. Another 2 million were just ordered.
If Calypte is on the receiving end of any of these purchases, they obviously are awful at PR.
I could think of plenty of reasons "why not". Keep researching though and find out which tests are being used. I'll do the same.
Thanks.
FYI... From Calypte contact: "Thanks for the email - and we appreciate the support. The company is making progress in restructuring its operations and financial structure. We continue to update investors through the filing of periodic reports with the SEC and request your continued patience".
Anyone here previous AAC shareholders? Wondering if anyone has received any distributions yet? I have not.
Only that operations are still on-going and that it will continue to update shareholders via SEC filings. Guru Sankar notified me of this via email.
Incompetent management.
Great! Now that Adel is officially the CEO of Calypte maybe he'll start acting like it and update the shareholders of this company.
Also, wonder if Shuhrat Saidmuradov is only resigned from the BOD or if he is also resigning from his position of CEO at Beijing Calypte.
I would assume this is relatively new marketing material, yet they reference that it is a public company that trades on the ASE under the symbol HIV?
Are they that inept or is that old material?
"Please note also that China has disallowed OTC sales."
It's hasn't been easy to follow the developments in China. Your statement comes from a 9/30/09 filing. Since that time, it appears that people on this board have come across many websites that are selling what I would believe to be an otc version of the test, some of which appear to be either run by or directly affiliated with the SFDA.
Perhaps they are allowing OTI (over the internet) sales, but not truly OTC (over the counter) sales, meaning they can't be on store shelves directly.
What we need is a specific update (not loaded in a 100 page 10Q or 10K) in regards to developments in China. Too bad this company as been mum on everything!
I found it interesting that someone has a facebook page with friends that supposedly still work at Calypte (Chris Kafka, Bill Hooker, and someone out of Geneva). Is that someone that uses this message board?
Have any English translations of these sites? It would be great if you did, my google translator is a wreck. Thanks.

This one specifically mentions Calypte: "Kelipute Biomedical"
Sounds like the omt may be starting to be excepted and expaned into more hospitals and perhps OTC.
Who knows, the translation are so hard to follow.
Have to wonder how Ginger is coming across this information. Where is the SEC violation in two investors hooking up? I'm not following Ginger. Care to elaborate on who you are and what you are trying to say?
You are right. I didn't communicate that correctly. Here is what I noticed and must relate to warrants/options.
9/30:
We currently have 800,000,000 shares of common stock authorized, of which approximately 626,500,000 shares are issued and outstanding or reserved for issuance under current financing arrangements and our incentive plans.
6/30:
We currently have 800,000,000 shares of common stock authorized, of which approximately 672,500,000 shares are issued and outstanding or are reserved for issuance under current financing arrangements and our incentive plans.
LOL! I can't believe the were able to dig up that information.
Anyone know anything about this investor who is keeping Calypte afloat. I don't have the 10Q up, but I believe her name is Carolina.
I also noticed that it appears as though outstanding shares actually decreased from 6/30 to 9/30. How is that possible?
I was not implying he was familiar with Calypte or its technology. I simply stated that he appears to be an extremely intelligent person. This is based on his publications, references, discussions, etc.
Who knows with the 10Q, I'll go with December 10th as a guess.
He already has. Seems like an extremly intelligent guy and is very active in the "online science world" and even posts some references to Calypte in his blogs/etc.

For those that don't follow wopular. This is a somewhat interesting conversation to read.
Wonder if they have anything planned for World Aids Day tomorrow.
After 9 months, the Investors & Media section on the Calypte Website is finally back up and running.
...and you haven't become a "friend" yet!?
Why does it matter? Where are they going to get demoted to...they are already on the Pink Sheets?
Wonder if we'll see a 10Q post market closing...or maybe a NT-10Q?
I think as a pink sheet stock, these items are not as critical as they are not SEC regulated.

Just a quick Google search turned out this:
http://www.linkedin.com/in/gurusankar
Has some nice eduation on his resume. My thought is maybe they have pulled him in to assist with the duties associated with a CFO. He is from the Portland area.
Did you talk to Guru? If so, what was the discussion. Thanks.
Someone bought about $50,000 at .018.
What were these "wrong doings"? It does not surprise me, in my brief discussions with Don Taylor, when he was at Calypte, he said previous CEOS (IE: Gale) had done some pretty shady things.
Sedia could have at least made it less obvious by not posting a picture of Calypte's BED test.

Hong Kong Pride Organizing Committee awarded Certificate of Credential to our company / Aware™ Oral
http://www.diagnosticbio.com/c0001.jpg
Where was it posted? Thanks.
Is the supposed to be facetious? I'm not following. Do you have a link to the lawsuit claim?
That is not true based on anything I ever heard/read. The only thing ever mentioned was that the Aware approval in China opens up opportunities in other countries in which approval is only granted when countries in which the production plan is located, has an apporval.
Good to see actual evidence of the product on the shelf:

Wonder how they are selling (or not selling).
That is a given and I agree. I've always thought the real money in this business was in the retail market (i.e. OTC). If they can follow the trend that they "appear" to be setting in HK and Macau and expend into China, India, and perhaps even eventually the U.S....consitant, reocuring revenue is without a doubt possible.
If you want Calypte to jump you'll have to see three things:
1. Terminate any debt obligation
2. Raise capital via non-dilutative method
3. Sell a substantial amount of tests
You see these 3 items and it could reach a dollar, nothing like Vermillion (wow!!!). If they can get one, two will be much more easier and will in-turn make 3 a big possibility. It's like the snowball effect, problem is...I don't see how or why #1 would ever happen (unless Marr can be convinced that share appreciatation would offset loan loss and headaches of seizing collateral)
20/9/2009 Aware™ Oral is now available in Macau Registered 's Chain Phamarcies - POPULAR PHARMACIES (Click here to see the Authorized Dealers list)
http://www.diagnosticbio.com/en/news.html
"Popular" must be the name of the pharmacy....not a "popular" pharmacy. Finally seem to be making some moves getting into pharmacies...something I've been wanting to see for some time. Will be interested to see Q3 results, would be nice if they could post on time (mid Nov.) With their reduced operations and work force, it doesn't take much to break even.
Well at least the new team in place is willing to provide some transparency into the troubles they havve been enduring.
On the positive: Revenue up, Margins increased, costs down, orders in place
Negative: need $$$$$$$ ASAP...
Were you able to access this, I believe you need to be a special member to do so. Please post the article if possible.
Blood just likes to spin his own negative feelings on every situation. Calypte was still taking in revenue for this test in quarter one and I don't see any reason to see it stop. If we are competing against Roger Gale, we already have the upper hand. Based on some things I've hear, he really effed up Calypte (even more than it was).
Well they still answer the phone. Maybe still hanging in there by the slimest of threads.
