All I know is you're talking value and AMC Just like the rest of us! Good job!
There you go again, talking about the value of AMC!
So you are saying $AMC has value!
Cool story bro
What his statement means is that he'll be bailing out the bad actors who put pensions and 401Ks at risk for working families. Because ultimately it would really be bailing out regular people. He'll let the crooks off, for the chilren
Yeah, but . . .
It's not automatically a liability just because it's a short position.
If I bought TSLA at $700 or I shorted TSLA at $700, which one is the liability right now?
All positions are assets, some just more valuable than others.
He sounds like a hedgie shill to me. Trying to build hype for a $20 top so everyone starts cashing out when it gets there.
The idea isn't that we'll all cash out at 1,000 or 10,000 or 100,000 or whatever. The idea is to let it get to the top, whatever that top may be, so we can all get the most out of hedgie. Along with all these "unrealistic" price targets also come the advice "sell on the way down, not the way up." The large numbers are about training people to be patient and not panic sell when the price really starts moving.
I think we can all appreciate your wanting to keep it real. But there is a certain strategy to conditioning everyone to expect larger numbers so that we don't miss out on what could've been.
Will someone make out like a bandit shorting from 500 or 1,000 or 5,000? Sure. But it won't be any of the hedgephucks who pushed it up that high because they were too arrogant to cover at a reasonable level to begin with. They'll already be too overleveraged and probably not even in control of their own portfolios at that point.
I know. He just gave us pieces, let us fill in the blanks. And letting shorty know that we have the pieces as well.
June 2nd is the record date for the next shareholder vote. All shareholders on that date will get their proxy votes. That will also give AMC a counting of shares in circulation as of that date.
AA didn't release the full data from the previous count which had a record date of March 11th. But now they will be able to show a comparison with a 3 month time difference.
Only thing is they did possibly screw it up by selling those remaining 43 million shares in between. Now we don't have a strict apples to apples comparison. I know what you're thinking, it's simple math, should only be a 43 million share difference between the two counts. Well, if the math were that simple we wouldn't be where we are today.
Not seeing where it specifies this was a transaction at close. Thinking the post just connecting the return of those shares and being available contributed to price going over $14 during the day.
Because they prefer the kind of profit they don't have to pay taxes on. Who wants to make money they have to share with the IRS?
Also, they prefer using other people's money to then steal more money from OTHER other people. Paying for calls out of pocket up front and then waiting for value to rise??? That's how honest people think. Gross
Maybe they are trying to dig to China because they think that's where they can get the money to bail their stupid asses out.
With what money? He just lost everything people gave him to work with before. Who would give him more to start another fund? And that's assuming he's not dead or in prison anyway.
LOLZ OK Newbie Groveman Greenfield!!!
(Newbie Groveman Greenfield is the new Boomer)
We probably don't get that kind of control. Best you can do is turn the lending on or off and let the broker resolve whether you have any loaned shares or not.
Seems we're looking for a fail. Otherwise it just drags on until we get a real fail.
Etrade value does seem to differ from other sources. Just popping it up to compare against what it was last time I looked.
Value below 1 is less volatile, while value above 1 is more volatile.
A positive value means it tracks with the market.
A negative value means it tracks inversely to the market.
AMC beta at -9.68 on Etrade
A change from -6.something a couple weeks ago.
Some whale will have the inside scoop when the short plug gets pulled. Then it will take very little effort to buy it up past the $14.50 mark.
Maybe you could GOOGLE it lol
Well that's pretty much what I had posted a couple weeks ago. Just don't get why they don't update the fee when there are no shares available. If the fee applies to all outstanding loaned shares then it's still pretty freakin relevant!
Doesn't really amount to that much (relative to a Shitadel budget). Even on 100,000 shares that's only $1900 per day at the current share price. Now they're down to 5,000 or 10,000 at a time, which only translates to $100 or $200 a day on the fee at 70%.
It's not the fees that will kill them. It's the fact the fees are rising because shares are hard to locate, so they have no ammo to keep up their shell game.
I think he set an alert for $3 and took a nap. SOMEBODY WAKE HIM UP!
I'm expecting much more in 5+ years. But I would certainly consider $50+ within the next year a huge win. I can find something to roll that into for the next 4 years after that.
Good to know we're still a long way off from AI being smart enough to take over the world.
He's not sure. That's why he bought $20 calls as a backup (primary?) plan.
98% is still too risky. Why would anyone loan anything to a shorter at any rate these days? When they've made it clear that the goal is to never pay you back.
They should have waited for $3 LOL
I have not seen that with AMC. I do get that once in awhile with NLST, in the morning before trading starts.
Sounds good on paper LOL
Neither. MC is based on the officially issued outstanding shares.
But if those kind of numbers were made public, I can assure you MC would increase as the ask would immediately increase 100 fold.
I think he's playing on your user name. Meaning DTCC will be doing all the covering.
Then I guess it will be the "others" that start the ball rolling.
Remember in The Big Short when Burry's clients started pulling their cash out? And he was pleading with them to stay in? Watch Citadel holdings (and others) very closely. When all the Ritchie Riches start yanking their coin out of the box that will be one big catalyst.
AMC squeeze will precipitate the crash if SEC doesn't get serious about resolving the naked shorts. It will be a cause-effect.
THAT.WOULD.BE.AWESOME!
I have just enough to make me a millionaire if we get that high.
And trust me, I deserve it! And so do all of you!
Except Newbie and Longboarder. Muy indigno.
