Why? Are you invested in some other company with a viable COVID therapeutic?
I'm holding out hope that some BP wants us for $100-200M.
Leo and family have ~15M shares. That's currently worth about $675K or about 15 months salary.
If he can sell for $100M that's worth about $3.4M. A sale for $200M is worth ~$7M.
Leo has a lot of incentive to take a small buyout and not risk several million dollars losing it all. He's old and $7M still goes a long way even in Boca.
A BP with appropriate influence could likely wrench billions from the US government in exchange for that small investment.
The last partnership netted $420K in exchange for 94-98% of the asset (B-UP with AlfaSigma).
If Leo could get a decent deal on B-OM or B-UP he would have done so rather than double the outstanding share count since early 2020.
Its really more a pension fund for he and Jane at his point. IPIX isn't really a place for value investors to make returns. I just hope there is one mote hype cycle to get me out with something. Or maybe the pipelone is actually worth $50-100M to some BP with the lobbying power to twist It into big government cheddar.
What news? You got news?
I thought we were rolling into phase 3 with OM? Oh you mean that was contingent on our stock price going up on COVID results?
Considering that's $120K worth of stock trading....you pretty much were alone.
You'll be very happy when we fill the gap at $4.93. The gap always fills. Right? Right1?!?!
Whatever finds me a greater fool to get out of this mess. This is worse than bitcoin.
Anything. Please Leo. Anything.
Just get the pump going again.
Don't let this one land in my bag for good.
If someone told you, back in 2015, that the high point of CTIX/IPIX discussions in 2022 would be regarding their office lease...
Where's the data? Where's the secondary endpoint data?
Looking forward to anything he can use the pump the stock and get me out.
I just wish he could rope some dope pharma company into buying us. Instead we're probably buying something no other pharma wants...again.
It's almost like every single pharma company on Earth is smarter than all of us on IPIX.
Go IPIX!
Yeah but that was with about half the shares outstanding. So $0.13 in early 2020 is roughly $0.07 now.
She is paid very well considering she came in as a barnacle on Bertolino's backside and has overseen two major phase 2 trial failures in a row and a pitiful six-figures upfront deal as our VP of Clinical Sciences and Portfolio Management.
Just sitting here with all my near worthless shares on the table waiting to see how it resolves.
Zero?
Buyout?
Partnership?
Limbo decline for several more years?
Only the Leo knows. My guess is that he and Jane are the only ones who will profit from the company from here on out.
If that's the case why don't I sell you ask? Because the off chance that this rebounds would be painful If I sold...more so than losing the remaining pocket change on the table.
So GO IPIX! Not that I believe, but I still hope.
The silence on the secondary endpoints the past two weeks has been deafening. It has told me all I need to know.
Nah he hasn't done anything illegal. He's an accountant running a biotech company. He's very good at ensuring he gets paid and not great at designing trials or doing market viability research (ABSSSI).
Here's to hoping he can pump the stock with whatever this new asset he's looking at purchasing. I'll bet it's twice as good as Brilacidin for half the price! I've learned my lesson Leo. Just find me one more greater fool to sell to.
Leo is not depressed. He's the one guy that consistently makes money no matter IPIX's performance. Plenty of cash in the company to continue funding his pension..er salary.
Beats the hell out of working at H&R Block where he belongs.
Go IPIX!
I would jump for joy at a $0.30 buyout. A merry Christmas indeed!
Go IPIX!
Can't pump your preclinical antiviral and then not go to trial with it after raising all those funds on the pump.
Oh wait...NNVC. Come on Leo...stick to the tried and true playbook. Rookie CEO mistakes over and over. Do as Diwan does.
I need one more good pump to get me out.
Go IPIX!
I agree. I also think that's probably our answer.
I'm holding my shares...no sense pulling nickels off the table at this point. Hope you're right.
Go IPIX!
B-ABSSSI Phase 2b was a great trial and IPIX's greatest, and arguable only, decisive success.
Sadly that was in 2014 and the drug has not advanced to phase 3.
Go IPIX!
The primary endpoint was not met.
If the secondary endpoints had something really good we would likely have heard or be hearing about them very shortly. Each day that goes by makes it less likely.
You're probably still holding out for that analysis of the Prurisol phase 2b data as well.
Leo Ehrlich does not hold back good data. I'm holding out hope that given the lack of IPIX staff, it has taken time to get a consultant in to do the analysis of the unblinded data on the secondary endpoints. That's a stretch though...and doesn't reflect well on an already pitifully long drawn out results collection.
It would be nice to believe that...at least for a time. I would contend that we likely have received most of the results that we're going to receive with regard to the COVID trial. The company has had the full unblinded data set for over two weeks now. If there was some outstanding secondary endpoint data I feel it would have been released by now. I'm holding out hope for the week of Jan 3 but after that I think COVID is done as a Brilacidin indication.
If only it was as easy to fool Big Pharma as it is to fool OTC retail...
Oy vey. Come on Leo.
Go IPIX!
Sox, you've probably been asked this before.
In your opinion what was the tipping point that made you lose faith in IPIX? Was it a specific trial or move by the company?
Yes, you are probably right. IPIX is an endless cycle of hope, greed, and regret.
I'm not looking for gold.
I'm looking for a little copper to keep the sh*t flowing so I can get out of this with $0.50 instead of $0.05.
Go IPIX!
I'm hoping Brilacidin has an amazing secondary endpoint hidden in the mix from the COVID trial. As the days go by without word though, it seems it is buried deeper than we all hope.
Go IPIX!
This secondary endpoint was a huge success:
56% relative reduction in the number of days of SOM in the avasopasem treatment group (8 days) vs. placebo group (18 days) (p=0.0022*) (previously reported as p=0.011) (secondary endpoint)
Is it because they have a drug that works in people?
He'll come around once he realizes his options are few.
$30M would be trivial. Subtract $5M cash and $6M in B-UP development milestones and you get our market cap.
No. It's a question of where the real offers would be. $100M? $200M? $300M?
Remember, the pipeline is of very little value to us because we have no money to advance it before patent expiration significantly diminishes the value. BP on the other hand could immediately advance it on all fronts and actually take advantage of fast track and BTD.
The key is finding that sweet spot where Leo's ego is willing to sell. Now that we have suffered the COVID failure and the resultant market cap decimation, a steal for BP, say $200M, is much more palatable as a 10x buyout.
I'm reasonably certain all the talk of buying new assets and running phase 3 OM is just Leo the Lion raising the hair on his back to look tough after being gored by the COVID wildebeest. The hyenas are moving in on him.
Go IPIX!
Because I can add hundreds of thousands of shares for pennies on the dollar of what I paid over the past seven years.
It may be good money after bad but whats a few thousand more after $100K? The market cap is extremely low...assuming this isn't a straight lifestyle fraud there could be large returns.
A $300M buyout is a 10x from here.
As for making you feel good about it? There is nothing to feel good about in IPIX right now. We're just praying Leo doesn't do the same thing he's done every day for almost a decade. Yes, it's insane but as they say, every once in a while a nut finds a blind squirrel.
Go IPIX!
I didn't say that at all. I bought the dip and will continue to do so.
Go IPIX!
~80K@$0.08.
I have $1006 stashed away to get 100K@$0.01 during tax selling toward the end of the month. Maybe a "told ya so" hit piece from AF or Mako if nothing good comes from secondary results in the next week or two.
Who knows. Remember, no matter how bad it gets, IPIX can always lose another 80%.
As always, if you don't like the price, just wait longer.
Go IPIX!
