I can't answer any of your questions....
but nonetheless AMC is pretty much stuck w/ AA IMO
not sure there are many candidates knocking on the door to
take his position based on the debt and current financial situation
of the company......the debt incurred back in COVID
days was a necessary move at the time....but now the challenge
is to eliminate or reduce the debt which is major anchor on AMC....
JMO
IMO
there are NOT too many suitors that would buy a company
like AMC esp with there debt load...highly unlikely in real world
AMC box office revenue is a guess for 2024 but I would suggest
reviewing the financials and 884M$ amc has in cash will pretty much
get burned in 2024 leaving them less than $300M at the end of year depending
on the box office receipts....so AA decision to dilute is to raise more cash to
keep the company healthy....again looking at the financials an the capital expenditures
and interest expenses shows a good portion of the picture for 2024.....
projection is amc will have a cash burn of negative 400M$ or more for 2024....depending
on revenue stream....again 2025 will provide a better picture of AMC since writers strike results will be
reflected in 2024 and hitting this coming earnings....not sure any of this makes sense...JMO
2024 is going to be a tough year for amc esp. with this next qtr results...
financials should be getting better as year progresses but I really waiting
for 2025....financials will really tell the story in 2025
so we have about 67M or so shares of amc now being sold by citi....at let's say price of 3.7$/share
obviously they are selling today not the whole amt but a portion.....hehehehehehehehehehehehehe
money to service the debt....geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
this qtrs result in May 2024 are going to be in the tank for good reason.....
expectations amc price will start bumping 3$ in near future......shorts made some money
on this move and obviously had some inside info before news broke this morning....JMO
but I did buy some shares this morning in premkt.....
AMC Entertainment Stock Is Tumbling Thursday: What's Going On?

AMC 3.72down -0.62 (-14.2857%)
QUOTES AS OF 11:30:21 AM ET 03/28/2024
AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc (AMC) shares are trading lower Thursday after the company announced an at-the-market offering program.
What Happened: In a new regulatory filing, AMC said it entered into an equity distribution agreement to sell up to $250 million of its common stock from time to time in an at-the-market offering.
AMC intends to use the net proceeds to bolster liquidity, to repay, refinance, redeem or repurchase its existing indebtedness and for general corporate purposes.
“Among other reasons, the offering is being conducted to enhance the Company's liquidity in light of the low first quarter box office, resulting in part as previously disclosed from the Writers Guild of America strike and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists strike that occurred during 2023, increased seasonal working capital requirements, and the resulting cash burn the Company has experienced,” the company said in the filing.
AMC is not obligated to sell any stock under the equity distribution agreement and may at any time suspend offers under the agreement.

AMC Stock Prediction 2024
Equity research analysts on and off Wall Street typically use earnings growth and fundamental research as a form of valuation and forecasting. But many in trading turn to technical analysis as a way to form predictive models for share price trajectory.
Some investors look to trends to help forecast where they believe a stock could trade at a certain point in the future. Looking at AMC, an investor could make an assessment about a stock's long term prospects using a moving average and trend line. If they believe a stock will remain above the moving average, which many believe is a bullish signal, they can extrapolate that trend into the future using a trend line. For AMC, the 200-day moving average sits at $16.16, according to Benzinga Pro, which is above the current price of $3.85. For more on charts and trend lines, see a description here.
Traders believe that when a stock is above its moving average, it is a generally bullish signal, and when it crosses below, it is a more negative signal. Investors could use trend lines to make an educated guess about where a stock could trade at a later date if conditions remain stable.
AMC Price Action: AMC shares were down 11.5% at the time of publication, according to Benzinga Pro.

IMO-
Just being an avid investment reader doesn't necessarily qualify as good due diligence for
simple reason in today's world much which is published is inaccurate or tied to an agenda so it is important to read but be a discriminating reader along with having other skills to be a successful retail investor...
this is just my opinion
BTW I wish everyone the best related to their investments
Your quote as much as I would like to believe is not accurate and flawed
Shorting typically only occurs on a large scale with a limited number of struggling companies and tickers which are prime targets for shorting because of their struggles and individual financial metrics
Shorting occurs with major companys' as well as struggling companys'...thinking so is narrow minded vision
The avg joe needs an advisor....reading about the market isn't enough in my opinion...because it
takes too much work to make individual investments and be successful at it.....
I personally did not use advisors and took total responsibilities for my investment decisions but
I also used technical tools and math to evaluate my suspicions related to decisions and used probability math to valid my investment decisions...my point those skills don't work in today's markets for factual reasons....
trying to discuss the logistics of market on msg board IMO is absurd because it entails a much more detailed discussion that can not be done on this board....JMO
I agree buying blue chip company's for long term is an excellent strategy using
investment advisors to manage your portfolio...
So why is 40-50% of daily trading represented by short selling in the market place....
Yep
As George says: "it's a club and we're not in it"
All the criminal 1%ers run the markets and they keep adding
new criminal twists to keep the system going....last thing they want
is the system to implode....they just find new ways to steal retails
money....I don't think they take each others money....hehehehehehehehehe
I don't think I could use the tools such as technical analysis to make
money in today's markets......those days in the market are long gone...J
Shorts and the shorting process has gone well beyond
the bounds originally intended and the PROCESS
OF SHORTING HAS RUINED AMERICA's TRADING
MARKETS (no wonder other international mkts have
put caps on shorting)....and I'm not talking just AMC
it is prevalent in America's markets in general....
the derivatives are another story representing quadrillions
of currency......geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!
SHORT ATTACK!!!!!!
Friday
AMC short vol ratio was 68.21%
and 10 day avg is 55.44%
Close friday 4.08
spread 4.06-4.18 (12cents)
7.32M shares traded
my my my and looking at
other stocks with market cap it is very
surprising the volume traded each and every day....
certainly not retail traders or institutions....hmmmmmm
who could it be.....in a fair market there should be
no more than 1M shares traded and that's generous........hmmmmmm
and the crime just keeps on coming!!!!!!
Wonder what Peter Lynch thinks of lack of transparency in data on the exchanges now????
You don't loose until you sell...
and I'm not selling at this point and
probably not for a long time...
btw
amc short vol ratio yesterday was 65.96%
and 10 day average is now 54.66%....now why
do you think that is????
AMC had over 500K traded at bell....
I'm starting to think about buying when we dip below 4
hehehehehehehehehe
I'll have to noodle on it!!!!!
But no question no one is selling this is all about algorithms
trading to control the price which represents good 90-95% of AMC's volume....
just another opinion.....
-Yesterday's amc short vol ratio 59.33%
-avg of last 10 days moving up to 52.84%
Some of numbers for AMC-
-12-31-23 total revenue 4.812B$
-Currently AMC at 1.12B$ market cap
-263.28M outstanding shares
-total revenue in 2024 projected to hit around 2.8B$
-numbers indicate a higher stock price for AMC then current price 4.27$/sh
-MM need to keep the price suppressed for obvious reasons
So just watch the show and apply patience.....2024
will be interesting but 2025 and 2026 will be better
Yep
I'm just HOLDING to end of time.....Patience is
my strategy.....
meantime amc short ratio vol going over 50%...yesterday was 54.97%
just watching the crime show til END!!!! of movie.....
hehehehehehehehehehe
Here's a little song for Lou
Words no matter how kind cannot mend the heartache of loosing

nb- shorts IMO have totally destroyed NYSE along with the dark pool

very sorry state of affairs......
7.1 M amc traded for day at close and 1.002M traded second after the bell

algorithms and boiler room in control!!!!!
interesting some data correction showing 1.oo2M traded at 16:10....
hehehehehehehehe...boiler room must be doing some corrective
trading to balance
interesting first 10 minutes of trading
algorithms working OT to drive price down....
some things don't change....hehehehehehehehehe
Interesting Hedge Fund info....you can't make this stuff up and
what is happening behind the curtain and set up in the islands....but
really none of this really happens does it??????...this is only for the 1%ers
not for public scrutiny of retail....and so the crime continues unabated!!!!!
(they have to love those off shore accts)

A/H 2M traded in first 15"
Interesting fine on JP Morgan for inappropriate trading....jeopardy question is how much did
they make from this trading if they are paying a $348M fine????? and the crime continues.....

Here's a question-
What is difference between NYSE and MOEX?
Answer- Choice few control and manipulate NYSE in United States and one man controls and manipulates MOEX in Russia
Anyone who thinks we have a fair market in United States is sadly mistaken.....hehehehehehe
and the odds of that are getting better every day!!!!!
expect to see the spread on amc today reach around 49 cent area...maybe
even more.....we will see....there's lot of low hanging fruit in options market on amc...
be interesting how MM work price on AMC today to collect.....hehehehehehe....
you never know what's being set up in the dark pools but they definitely will be
major part of the play.....should easily see a few million shares close at the bell today....
notice how the price is gradually rising....it's funny how amc is played......or better operative
work is "controled"
IMO
this play on AMC will take years in the making....
the crime will continue but I am patient and will
just watch the crime and continue to HOLD!!!!!!!!!
Not expecting anything to happen IMO in 2024 for amc.....
HOLDING to 2025, 2026 and beyond.....
in meantime just watching the crime scene unfold!!!!!!
btw
don't forget to vote...the ballots are out
choices:
Putin
Putin
or Putin
vote early
and it's early but only 800K+ amc shorts available for trading
this morning and the beat goes on.....hehehehehehehehehehehe
spread on amc only 21 cents as of 10:26am est....hmmmm
it's early!!!!!
so there are over 5 Trillion $ in contracts coming due
on the ides of march et te brute......
wow
low vol on amc and short interest ratio was over 64%....
algorithms are really busy.....just shows how corrupt
data that is published really is....but again we are
experiencing a live crime scene in the making...
it should be interesting how big the spread will be today!!!!
It doesn't matter what I think
tomorrow could be interesting based on the
fact the options are expiring....what effect
that will have on amc is pure speculation on my part...
I am only an observer to an active crime scene IMO
Vol today little over 9M
and 1.086M traded at bell
very little borrowed amc shares used for shorting today but
they are loading up for tomorrow...1M on dockets already
spread also tightening in last couple days....tomorrow
should be a different story!!!!
over 95% of trading involves quantitative analysis....
https://www.investopedia.com/articles/financialcareers/08/quants-quantitative-analyst.asp
and what about the spread?
Markets with a wide bid-ask spread are typically less liquid than markets with a narrow spread. The spread widens because there aren’t high levels of supply and demand, or buy and sell orders to easily match up. The higher transaction cost, in the form of a higher spread, is compensation to the market maker for the illiquidity.
95% of amc vol is attributed to algorithm trading!!!!
interesting week esp with friday coming
Well true to form
yesterday friday short vol ratio 60.39%
spread 54 cents (4.24-4.78)
vol 17.5M
short interest a fractional tick down.....
and the beat goes on
SEC see nothing, hear nothing, say nothing
SEC needs to be dissolved!!!!!
they have control of pricing and will continue
with existing algorithms until
1. AMC retires the debt
2. some event disrupts current market that
forces disruption in current market conditions
