People have to realize that this stock investment is all about potential and being there at the ground floor. Second quarter income was under $30K. Based on that, it isn't worth much. Give it time. Don't be surprised if it goes back to .04 (God I hope not). Volatility will rule. I get burned trying to get in and out so I am holding long and accumulating when I can (probably too much so).
I ordered Cotton Candy a few days ago and received notice that I would not get the order until 12/26. So I am having a hard day at work, literally sick of coffee for the day but need a cup anyhow to wake up. As I get up to go get a cup, a co-worker brings in my case of Cotton Candy that just came in today. Of course, I try a can right away and boom.... feeling alert and dare I say that I actually feel better.
I am not an energy drink guy with the likes of Red Bull and Monster. I did do taste tests with a few people comparing Kona energy drinks to Red Bull and Monster. Monster is the worse crap I have ever tasted. Red Bull fell behind Kona Classic. As a consumer, I wouldn't buy the energy drinks. Until now. Cotton Candy is surprisingly good.
And as I said before, I am a huge fan of the energy waters, HighDrate, which I am now buying regularly. I now will also be buying Cotton Candy regularly. From the standpoint of good products versus the competition like Red Bull and Monster, I can't see how KGKG doesn't make it big.
POTN management reporting with the SEC and the fiasco with their auditors has given me little faith in them. I did hear they changed management, so I may revisit. I mention POTN here as a lesson to be learned. It would be great to see KGKG uplist to better exchanges.
You're spot on with those stocks you mentioned. I got burned on POTN. I expected it to go higher but didn't research enough to see how idiotic their management is with their reporting. KGKG seems better run. Praying big time on this one since I keep accumulating.
Gowd dang it and damn damn. Put in a buy at .07, raised it to .075, then .078, then .08 and walked away. Just bought 58K at .08 and price then went down to .076 again.
Just decided I am going away to the Himalayan mountains for 3 three years and coming back only then to check the stock price of my pot stocks and in particular, KGKG.
Completely agree with you. The things they have done with their SEC filings are embarrassing and simply bring many questions regarding management. Was big on POTN until I no longer wasn't. My biggest lesson learned is not to fall in love with a stock and to research better. I sold a big stake at 70 cents and then kept buying back on the way down until I let it all go at 21 cents. Made nice money on it since I was with them accumulating at 5 cents. Seems like all the pot stocks have a nice run in them at one time or another. Maybe I will get back in, but think there are better choices at the moment.
I was just thinking how the HighDrate line would be perfect in all Starbucks.
Yeah, except if the stock bombs I'll be coming home and kicking the poor thing. Two cents is closer than a dollar, lol.
I found the international charges fair in Canada (Toronto exchange) except for newly issued stocks. Australia commissions were steep but I have IB for that. I forgot about caveat emptor stocks like ALKM. IB doesn't allow it either. Makes you wonder if we're crazy for trying to get our hands on it.
MarginMan….can you imagine man? If we even get to 10 or 20 % of the energy drink market? We'll be rocket men.....
And we'll all be high
As a kite by then
Missing the earth so much
On timeless flights
And I think it's gonna be a long, long, time
'Til touchdown brings us round again
We'll be rocket men
Burnin' out our fuse
Up there with our friends
Mars will be the kind of place
To raise our kids
Yep....dreaming we will be rocket men.
Sh*t...… I am so used to volatility it is sickening, lol. All I know is that I am extremely thankful I got into this sector a few years ago. I kept borrowing and borrowing money to invest in pot stocks. I was down $90k at one point and kept putting money in. Still have a boatload of debt, but can pay it all back now with a nice run up. Had quite a bit more and watched it go down where I sit these days wondering if I should get out while ahead.
But dang it....I want easy street, lol. Debating a naming our new puppy Kona that we are getting for the kids for Christmas.
Red Bull is privately held, isn't it?
Good luck to all of us. I am so nervous being so heavy into KGKG. Wish I would have bought way more when I started under 2 cents. Not sure if I have the gumption to wait until $1 to start selling. If it gets there and I hold out that long, I sell half and then let the other half ride a few years. If it does 25% of Monster, I will be ridiculously happy.
In regards to brokerages, I also have an IB account. Penny stock trades are more expensive and their margin calls are ruthless. Will stick with Fidelity for now.
Ordered a case of Cotton Candy. Anxious to see how this one tastes. So far I have had 4 people try the different products and all of them are sold on the HighDrates and plan to buy. They all liked Classic but don't plan to buy it. That falls in with my tastes. I think millennials will favor the Energy Drinks while the 40 plus crowd prefer the HighDrates.
I'm in big with KGKG. Praying I didn't screw up.
Well that's a interesting way of making money.
Management does make a difference. I will revisit soon. What do you know of new management?
Good luck to all you who can stomach the actions of this poor management team. I was heavy into POTN until their 10K filings earlier in the year with amazingly poor financial reporting. It was a complete embarrassment. I think any successes they have had has been in spite of themselves. Lost great opportunities for tremendous gains when I bought back in at lower prices. Shame on me for not researching better. If I had as much CVSI as I did POTN, I would have been a millionaire. So hard to roll dice with poor management.
Hey Jagmanjoe… just saw that you sent a private message. Sorry I did not reply. I don't have premium. Fidelity sucks with their penny stock sell limits on GTC. Otherwise I am pretty happy with Fidelity. I have seen plenty of runs that can pass quickly the limits that Fidelity sets. Of course the price usually dives quickly, but hate to miss an opportunity by not being able to set a much higher sell limit.
HighDrate is insanely good. Just got an eye surgeon to try it and he is hooked. Says he can't drink too much coffee, but found that the HighDrate made him alert, he loved the taste of Georgia Peach (my favorite), and he felt better. I keep saying the same thing. I always feel a bit better after drinking the stuff.
I have been thinking the same thing. Why does the farm bill passing affect KGKG? It is already legal to sell everywhere. Is it simply the exposure?
Luho,
I think you are right with your post. I am sitting here after drinking my HighDrate, feeling alert and much better than if I drank a cup of coffee. KGKG products are phenomenal. I am betting on a dollar and then some. Would be shocked if it doesn't it 20 cents well before the end of 1st quarter 2019. After 20 cents, every dime increment will be so tempting to sell portions of my KGKG holdings. My first target if I can stomach it is 50 cents.
Can you repost in proper English? Are you saying you sold your stock because you don't think it will ever break a dollar? Your link doesn't seem to support that. Why did you sell?
I have tried them all. Georgia Peach is fantastic. Kiwi Strawberry is very good as well. Tropical Coconut is okay and Watermelon is terrible.
Updated taste tests with 2 other people after getting my new orders in.
Tested ~
HighDrate Georgia Peach
Kona Gold Classic
Kona Gold Platinum
Monster
Red Bull
The funny thing is everyone rated these the same.
Everyone agreed that HighDrate is insanely good. I am giving these testers full bottles to try later as I believe they actually make you feel good after drinking it. Not really a fair comparison versus the energy drinks.
Monster ~ holy crap, this drink sucks to hell. How in the world are they trading over $50/share.
Then in order, best tasting being first.
Kona Gold Classic
Red Bull
Kona Gold Platinum
Biggest difference of course being that Kona contains Hemp ~ the new "in" thing.
I need no further convincing that we have a winner with KGKG. My fear continues to be their relationship with ALKM as producers of their waters. I cannot even purchase ALKM stock through Fidelity or Interactive Brokers, though an associate of mine can buy it through Ameritrade. My first level I sell at is $1 for half my shares. Then it is hold for a few years on the rest.
Is there anything we can do about it? I have seen some insane runs in my time and anything is possible with these penny stocks. I want to lock up my shares from being borrowed, as well as have control on my limits.
I have a Fidelity account and it is allowing me only a limit price of $2.00 because this is a penny stock. I guess if I miss a run up past $2, I will only make 4.5 million, sigh.
I bet someone a dollar last week that KGKG would hit .13 by the end of this week. I never wanted to win a dollar so badly in my life, lol.
I remember once reading something from Peter Lynch, the great Fidelity Magellan Fund manager who had one of the most successful mutual funds of all time. He said he found his winners by simply going to the stores, reviewing buying trends, and researching what people are buying.
I have tried Kona products, compared them to the competition, and there isn't anything like it. Management is progressive thinking with new product developments, and have built this company from the ground up the right way.
The HighDrate is incredible. The energy drinks taste better than Red Bull and Monster and contain hemp, the current IN-thing.
Then the management. They aren't selling out by diluting their stock and looking at the big picture of developing this company way past being a penny stock. This ain't no pump and dump.
On the face of it, their financials currently show very little in sales, but no substantial debt. This company is about potential. Kona Gold and HighDrate should end up on shelves across the country. It's going to be big. This one will definitely hit a $1. Praying management stays the path and takes it much higher.
Do you guys agree?
As people have been stating on the boards, put limit sell orders on your stocks at $10, good til cancel. Put the squeeze on the short traders. Go Kona!
I completely agree with you on the ingredients. It is becoming a health conscious world (which is a good thing). The high fructose corn syrup is my biggest concern. Sucralose doesn't bother many people and is a decent alternative. THe HighDrate is my favorite drink now on the market. Love it!
Hold....Hold....Hold....
Set those sell targets high....
I made some nice money on PURA. Nothing huge, but I ended selling at 15 cents. I got out because the management is the same management of USMJ. These guys don't give a crap about their shareholders and I don't trust them. I suppose KGKG could find a new manufacturer/supplier but I guess I don't know enough about the process. I originally thought KGKG produced everything from start to finish. Praying I am not wrong about the KGKG management.
My biggest fear with KGKG at this point is that they are associated with ALKM. I am not so sure that ALKM is a good company. Anyone else with thoughts on this?
WOW! Just got my order of the Classic and the Sugar Free energy drinks. Last week I tried the variety packs of the HighDrate CBD infused water.
First in regards to the HighDrate, the Georgia Peach is unbelievably good. I also very much like the Kiwi Strawberry and the Tropical Coconut. The Watermelon is terrible in my opinion. I swear they feel like they do me some good, lol. I would definitely buy these products regularly.
Kona Gold Sugar Free is also fantastic. Love the taste. Will try a few more cans over the next few days for a final determination, but thumbs up so far.
I am not so thrilled with the Classic energy drink. It contains High Fructose Corn Syrup which is terrible in this health conscious age. It has way too much sugar to the point my chest hurts after drinking it. That being said, it tastes better in taste tests against Red Bull and Monster.
I'll say it again though, the Sugar Free kicks ass and the HighDrate is beyond superb. The labeling on all three products are fine. I would never have been concerned with the labeling if I hadn't read here in the boards that it could be an issue. Half my shares selling at $1. The other half holding a few years. I also will probably continue to add to my holdings.
POTN doesn't look very good. I bailed completely with a profit of $106K. Opportunity lost of 200k when it hit 90cents. Unfortunately I put it into a couple of others that aren't doing well.
POTN audited FS were atrocious They hired a new firm. The old firm was a 1 guy operation. He was from India based in Florida. They hired a new firm that is large but based in India. I am not sure why they hired a company form India when based in Florida.
Their 10k filing was mistake ridden. An embarrassment. They found some success in spite of themselves. Diamond CBD was their saving grace.
They are currently dealing with lawsuits. Management is not responding to bad news on the street. Look at how Tilray and Namaste immediately responded to bad news that got out in the public. I may buy in again, but I could not watch it go down anymore. Maybe getting back in at 10 cents.
