Call Etrade. Tech glitch.
Great article. Thx. em
Very well said. Couldn't agree more.
And I'll add, just why would they care to keep their price above $1 right now? So people don't sell? What?! That's ridiculous. Hedge fund managers are selling right now out of necessity anyway. So doing a RS and losing shareholder confidence would be MUCH more harmful going forward than being delisted which would certainly be temporary anyway.
Mines are slowing/stopping right now as we speak. They're also doing the same thing with oil. Result, rising prices. It's cyclical in this market.
FinancialAdvisor: patience grasshopper. If you think they're going to do a RS, then wait. Wait for it and the ensuing price drop and miss this potential opportunity to buy. Good luck.
Relevant to the previous post...
A good article with a quote from CDE...
http://www.mineweb.net/mineweb/view/mineweb/en/page32?oid=73294&sn=Detail
Sounds like he wants the reverse split. Keeps mentioning like maybe he's shorting or something....
Why would insiders buy if they were going to do a reverse split? The only flaw in his logic.
They still have some time.
Hey, that's my trick!!! Poser!!
That shouldn't be too far off in the distant future either.
Barron's is calling for $12 silver next WEEK. Also, most hedge funds should be "deleveraged", liquidated, tapped, etc., by the end of the year.
More silver will also be removed from the COMEX when December contracts come due.
Silver's rise is in the stars.
Please tell me what ground work they have laid and the case they are making for a RS....
After that, go look at every single miner and explain why the whole sector has been declining since the March highs of gold and silver.
Why is CDE any different?
And there are a good number of people who plan on taking delivery of the silver at the end of December. Watch the COMEX inventories after December contracts are delivered.
Tech glitch @ Etrade. Mine showed the same thing so I called them. Something internal at Etrade and they are working on it.
They fixed mine on the spot since I called in. No worries.
When and when....em.
More buying opportunities coming.....
Dollar rallies a little, silver down....CDE goes down today. That's how I see it.
Long term we're "golden" :)
If you haven't seen Kiyosaki's commentary on silver this link is very inspiring.... Rich Dad's Predictions 2008 Pt 4...
Ok, now I might be approaching bitter :) All in good fun.
The dollar falls, silver rallies. I'm starting to believe that the pps had very little to do with the company itself but the market in general. I'll have to pick up the buying on this one.
Anyone who knows the silver story and the future of it who compares that knowledge with the price of this stock falling in stride with the price of silver would be eager to buy on that fundamental alone.
Of course the technicals need to be considered but this stock has a value that goes beyond OS and eps....imo.
Most of the shorts on the COMEX have covered. If the shorts on CDE aren't paying attention they are going to get absolutely slaughtered!
At least the management can't actually control the price of silver. As long as they're digging they can "trip" into success when silver rallies.
Nice...
Still not bitter at down... I take full responsibility for not buying at .42 and we're still climbing.
Hey jds,
Fancy seeing you here. I did pick up some of this the other day and was going to pick up some more at .42 but was discouraged by downside's posts. Imagine how I felt by the end of they day....
This is a gut play for me. I hold physical silver mostly but when I saw the numbers of this one, especially their cash position, I was willing to throw down a little. And I'm willing to wait it out as I'm holding silver for at least 7-10 years.
Moral of the story (not that I need to tell you), make your decision outside of the emotion of others posts. There may still be some downward pressure on this but if it dips back down again I'll definitely pick some more up, which I intend on doing anyway.
Cheers
I added a weekly chart on the main page....
It's not in the post, sorry, didn't explain that..
Interesting development on the weekly view.
Added chart above.
That would be spectacular.
Yes, it most certainly will. All we need to watch is the price of oil.
I do think the recession (global) will slow down demand but emerging markets will benefit.
I also think that in the near future as the dollar comes crashing down that it will be harder for the US to acquire oil (peacefully). Biodiesle, ethanol, et. al. will be in HIGH demand.
Greater subsidies and grants ahead. It may be the equivalent of being a Sachs shareholder then Buffet buys in and the gov gives you a bunch of free money. Can't hurt too bad eh?
Dam fine looking charts. Just look at that!
True. We're fine if they can keep it going.
Ahh, ok. I was wondering....
Did you see the pics? Pretty cool eh?
Well, that's not good.
I see. Thanks. I'll look and see if I can make sense of it.
Yes, I agree. Feel free to chime in on the charts as well.
Maybe you'd like to share a little about the MACD a little more. That one always confused me. That has to do with volumes or something right? Buying and selling volumes? Thanks.
No, no, I didn't take it that way.
I watch the RSI and the moving averages. We've busted through the 20 day moving average and are closing above it which is bullish.
I like the RSI because it generally gives you an idea if a stock is oversold (under 50) or if it's overbought (over 50).
We've been below the 50 mark for some time but the longer you're below it your average pps keeps lowering so the mean number (50) lowers as well. A once oversold position becomes the new mean. Does that make sense?
I thought I had basic skill... did I miss something? :)
Really trying to turn around here...
Nice close!!
If we can close at these levels it's incredibly bullish.
Opened at and remaining above 20 day moving average. 20 MA= .28.
Well they have over 3 million gallons on hand, all accounted for and will be sold before October.
PR the other day said they had a fleet order that would be indexed to the winter heating oil... something like that.
