trazbull- I'm dam'n serious. watch the vote count as it keep going up. I dont think marketwatch will count them at the end because they have the whole thing screwed up. But Dr.Pandey can later challenge if he wishes to do so. Then Marketwatch has to honor the numbers.

Press Release
Xechem Announces Business Cooperation and Cash Infusion Pact with Alembic, Limited, a Major Indian Pharmaceutical Company
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. April 5, 2004--Xechem International Inc. (OTC BB: XKEM ) today announced that it has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Alembic, Limited, a 97 year old pharmaceutical company based in India and specializing in the manufacture and distribution of pharmaceutical products in the international market. The Company believes the strategic alliance established by this Agreement will enhance and accelerate its ability to bring NICOSAN(TM)/HEMOXIN(TM) to market, expected to be within the next 12 months. NICOSAN(TM)/HEMOXIN(TM) has shown efficacy in clinical studies in Nigeria, in the treatment of Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). Currently, there is no definitive safe therapeutic treatment for a majority of sickle cell anemia patients.
Under the terms of the Agreement, Alembic Limited has agreed to provide a cash infusion of equity and convertible debt in excess of $3,600,000 to Xechem. It has funded the initial $640,000 of this amount by way of purchase of common stock at seven cents per share. Alembic will be entitled to receive royalty payments apart from interest or dividend on its investments. The Agreement also provides for Alembic to hold a 15% interest in Xechem's Nigerian subsidiary, which will be responsible for the production and distribution of NICOSAN(TM)/HEMOXIN(TM) in Nigeria. Alembic will have first refusal rights for the distribution of the product in Africa and India.
According to Dr. Ramesh C. Pandey, Xechem's Chairman and CEO, "This is a historic day for Xechem International and its lead product NICOSAN(TM)/HEMOXIN(TM). We are extremely excited about our strategic alliance with Alembic, a well-established pharmaceutical company in India. Alembic's financial, technical and distribution strength will accelerate our ability to successfully launch NICOSAN(TM)/HEMOXIN(TM) first in Nigeria and surrounding countries where such conditions are a national priority, followed by the USA, Europe, Latin America, and Asian countries. Alembic's faith in Xechem and its technology validates our excitement about the product, and our immediate opportunity in Africa. We believe this will accelerate our drive toward clinical trials of NICOSAN(TM)/HEMOXIN(TM) in the United States."
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the USA has granted the orphan drug status to HEMOXIN(TM), and when appropriate FDA regulatory approval is attained, after the US clinical trials, the sales will start immediately. Xechem has agreed to use its best efforts to provide a board seat to designee from Alembic, subject to Alembic's fulfillment of its obligations.
