Bullshit. A journeyman plumber in Cali on the high-end makes $100k.
Your arguments are a sad, sad attempt to support what APPEARS to be a criminal or incompetent (your words) management group.
There isn't a chance in Hell Joey didn't craft those PRs to be as misleading and plausibly deniable as possible. Where have I heard that mo before? Hmmmm.
And per the last CC, Phil resigned because he was too busy with the restaurants he's actually invested in. But keep pissing on everyone's leg and telling them it's raining.
Then again, there is still one restaurant that he could develop into extinction, so who knows.
Well thank you for clarifying, Oh Wise One. So please tell me which is it when it comes to Publicly Traded Restaurant Guru and Master of Fundraising, Phil Gay? Incompetence or scam?
Search for truth, my ass.
Can't wait to see YE sales figures. Why did sales go down $150k this year? The weather.
Btw, we accept Bitcoin! (sorry, no receipts available, wink)
Hey Management, if you don't like what I have to say, how about you do your fuckin job and expand. Novel idea, right!?!?!?! I promise from the bottom of my heart I will sell my shares and try to forget I ever heard of any of you.
I may not know what's going on the inside, but I sure as hell know what's going on the outside.
And the outside has shit smeared all over the walls and the smell is nauseating.
Wow, you're really grasping at straws there. Last I checked there was only one family member with provable shares and that was his wife.
"Cleanest by the book" in the same sentence as GIGL is farcical. How's that remodeling at Tanforan going that prevented GIGL from getting their fist fully-paid-for location in San Fran? Geez, can you believe those moron mall owners forgot they were gonna make a multi-million dollar renovation after fully renovating the mall only a few years earlier and then never doing it and never extending GIGL the offer. Good thing for Joey that he pulled the trigger on selling those shares during that run-up.
But you are technically right, debts were paid after offering, including a nice chunk of salary payable. I suppose we should thank Joey for lowering his salary (no bonus mention) to only $225k. Should we also thank him for writing himself options to double his ownership percentage? Good thing he never put in place that Board of Directors he promised (not they would do anything about it).
And if you wanna talk about things that are possible but highly unlikely, why not just call this a CIA operation for money laundering and a potential entry point for operations in Guatemala, Turkey and the Middle East. Or is that too crazy?
"Cleanest by the book", lol. You embarrass yourself.
You don't know that. His - and Phil's - word is shit. They've shown they will lie about anything when it comes to this company.
Funny how all that offering money disappeared so quickly but they've managed to make $30k last for almost a year.
Love the work you're doing on Facebook. Keep it up. Fuck 'em. I don't care if it fails as long as he does too.
It looks like the wheels are coming off the last restaurant too. Recent Yelp reviews are awful. My favorite from Darla B. on 1/31/19:
Poor service. Scary looking playground equipment. I don't know if the playground has ever been inspected but the matting is a mess, there is metal sticking out of the damn structures. The food is basically the same price as BJ's Brewhouse, yet here the food is low quality, moldy, and swimming in oil. They claim to hide veggies in the kids meals, which I heard down the grape vine is a bold faced lie. don't even get me started on how expensive it is. I've heard disgusting things about the owner Joey. The employees look like they're trying their best given the crap circumstances. How dare you not keep your playground up to safety standards and hide behind your minimum wage workers to avoid blame. Anyone charging this much for the bare minimum of fun is a sick, disgusting person. Will never be bringing my kids back. Joey does not care about your kids. He cares about his check
That serves as a great reminder that ",management" hasn't done one God damn thing for shareholders. Joe and Phil should both be in prison and experiencing everything that comes with it.
Yes, Joey announced they hired a homeless man to spin a sign that says "franchise opportunity" outside the store and truly believe - Phil especially - THIS is the last step in their years long franchising attempt. In addition, the company has successfully acquired a new Range Rover for Joey to drive around town and private schooling for Joey's kids. Lastly they are in advanced talks to bring Kobe Bryant on as their next brand ambassador.
When they opened it up for questioning, Joey commented "ummm, uhhh, fuck you I answer to no one" and hung up.
What business doesn't have to worry about that?
I would encourage you to re-evaluate your viewpoint. You are essentially saying that humanity will no longer produce children 4 to 10-years-old and their parents will no longer care about feeding them healthy food.
If not for GIGL, where will tomorrow's entitled be introduced to wealth and taste? ; )
Deep breathes, PNG. Don't look at this as an investment. It's just the universe's way of teaching us - the hard way - not to take anything too seriously or trust anyone despite how well-intentioned they seem. I mean, I've lost my entire life savings on paper. Ha ha! Good one, Universe. You really showed me.
Somewhere the writers for Breaking Bad are thinking to themselves "damn, I wish I woulda thought of that!". Gustavo shoulda went public.
Disclosure: all joking aside, this will probably end up being one of the most valuable life lessons any of us will ever experience. Nothing is what it seems.
That failure to announce a deal that never materialized really stuck it to the haters. Hopefully on the next call he will talk about all the other things he hasn't accomplished.
The RS doesn't really make any difference by itself. It's just a mathematical change. The overall value doesn't change.
What does change is the long-term potential if they can ever manage to get some curious eyeballs on it. Most players in the secondary market - where you and I will sell - will be retail and will be much more impressed by a company with 17M outstanding shares rather than a company with 170M outstanding shares. Those impressed retail investors will be the ones providing the needed volume for any run-up.
One thing is certain: the RS will cost money. GIGL doesn't have any money. So why do something that will cost money unless you think it will somehow help the business?
Nailed it.
That would be the "rational" response, but I have seen NOTHING to indicate things will get better. In fact, I fully expect them to find a way to make things worse.
If only there were a healthy place nearby to get a bite to eat afterwards.....

Get me the all-stars from the local seniors softball league! FML.
Remember on the last call when he said they were disappointed in Gina V.'s inability to get any franchise deals done while stating he felt Phil was doing a good job? Classic. If I didn't know any better I would think his stupidity was intentional.
Thank you.
New day. This should be a good way to start....
Exactly. That's how he turns it around - by selling it.
And it just got cheaper.
Joey: YOU created this, YOU can turn it around.......
BUT YOU HAVE TO SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE!!!!!
I PROMISE YOU YOU WILL BE REVERED FOR STEPPING AWAY AND LETTING FRESH BLOOD RUN IT!!!!!
At this point I feel bad for Joey. He's in waaaaay over his head and he is turning to Phil to help him sleep at night. Phil, in turn, is taking advantage of Joey. Phil hasn't done a damn thing other than remind Joey that he knows how to expand a business with other people's money. Good riddance.
Per the new 8-K:
"Mr. Gay will remain employed by the Company as its chief business development officer."
I think I speak for all shareholders when I say "Thank God!". Where would we be without all his development!?!?!?!?
I hope the writers are finally ready to make a move.
I won't be holding my breath.
Rules for today's game:
-One SIP of beer for every "um", "uh", and "you know"
-One shot of liquor - your choice, must be 80 proof or greater - for every "red carpet" mention
-One bong rip every time Joey interrupts Phil
Last (wo)man standing wins.
Good luck and remember to keep your head on a swivel.
From the most recent conference-call PR:
"With the success we’ve seen at the store level, with year-over-year sales increases"
Reality: YoY sales -3.4%
I hate to say it, but I kinda admire his game. No fear, shooters shoot.
Does anyone know what the odds of all company-owned restaurants of a publicly-traded company burning to the ground on the same day are? If that were to happen - hypothetically speaking, of course - do you think the insurance company and/or authorities would notice?
Remaining cash: $4k
Decrease in comparable sales from 3Q '18: $123.6k (-18%)
Increase in current liabilities from last quarter: $96k
Increase in salary payable: $80
All-or-nothing time.
Finally.
The writers killed him off last season in a bizarre S&M episode.
Or did they?!?!?
Right on schedule...…
Goodbye first mover advantage.

Now let's hope for a Reg. D and Rule 144 filing.
Disclaimer: I am historically biased in the wrong direction when it comes to this company.
With that being said and considering they were supposed to be out of money months ago, it would take a really special breed of asshole to come out and declare bankruptcy after a PR like that.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd be happy with bankruptcy news just so I could stop thinking about this.
Whatever is going on behind the scenes doesn't excuse the fact that a shit-show is on view for the public to see. I wish we had a real shareholder meeting so I could throw my shoe at them.
