1,000,000 shares on the bid is a nice way to start. Let's flush out this seller. You gotta remember, these angels don't do hype press releases. We have not seen any of these "shareholder letter" or strategic plan update" press releases. They simply put their heads down and work. No pumping here, so the stock is going to take care of itself as they accomplish things and put out news.
I still think the 10-Q will be encouraging. They have cleaned up the balance sheet, which is a good start. They can't do everything in a month or a quarter, but you better get your shares now while they are cheap.
Sounds good to me. I will get it to $0.006 myself if I have to. I love a challenge. Too many good teams have a bye this week, so I will be able to make a few calls on Sunday. Maybe we get Cecilia to join in the fun, buy some stock, file a Form 4. I will have to see if she picks up the phone.
Me too, well put. When the train is pulling out of the station, I want to make sure I am already on it.
Excellent signals are emerging from the corporate office
Still accumulating, but I wonder how much longer people will hit my bid. It dawns on me that VSTR will show net income for the quarter. That's always good, so that when a new investor looks at the company, the web sites show they made money in Q2.
We know they plan to stay fully reporting - they have been issuing appropriate 8-Ks as needed. No pumping here, just steady progress, and yet they are still under the radar.
They must have about $250,000 in gain from the debt settlements that drops to the bottom line. They didn't cite the dollar amount of the gain in the 8-K, but if the stock was at a quarter of a penny on the day they did the agreement, I figure they have a gain of over $200,000. Also, in the audit, they took an impairment loss on the remaining equipment that was undepreciated, so I don't think they will have many non-cash expenses, except for the restricted stock awards to the new officers.
They have new customers, they cleaned up the balance sheet, and I am expecting a positive bottom line. It looks like a HUGE improvement in just one quarter. I am eager to see.
I love that ContentOro video, fashion is so beautiful. See what happens when women run the company?
I agree. Santa is going to bring presents to the nice shareholders.
They are on a mission. CFO had another post. Another new client, ContentOro, raised money on NetCapital. VSTR owns a big piece of NetCapital. Companies crowdfund on NetCapital and VSTR guides them through the process.
People like Bob Chunn are relying on VSTR for guidance. Great video. We will see nice spillover benefits to ihub. The social media boom is coming.
The will be the BSOTY. Accumulating more.
Accumulating.
This management team gets things done. When they hit us with new customers and revenues, this stock price is going to see a dime. Why? There will be no selling pressure.
How unique, we have a company where the debt holder doesn't have convertible debt, so they don't want to sell stock. And it's long-term debt (3-year maturity) so the company does not have to worry about principal payments.
I bought one million shares this past week, and I gotta believe this is my best purchase all year.
8-K at the Close!! The ladies keep doing the right thing.
The quarter just ended Oct 31st. This month, they improved working capital by $1.6 million, just in time to show on the balance sheet at Oct 31st! Well done! The 10-Q will be the best balance sheet they have shown in years.
Like I say, I am tired of small caps getting out of debt by selling aged securities to vultures. Look what VSTR did. They renegotiated debt and made it into a non-convertible 3-yeat term loan at 1.25% annual interest.
This is the Ivy League coming to play for us.
Also, one more time, an insider has taken stock at 2 or 3 times the current trading price. They sold some more restricted stock at half a penny and we were trading at 2 tenths of a penny
New VSTR Client!!
They are starting to give out links to what they are doing. Check out the Linkedin pages for the CEO and CFO
The CFO has a link of a new client, Charlotte's Closet. To find it quicker, go to the valuesetters website and go to the social media tab. It gives the links. They are posting info about what they are doing.
See what happens when women are in charge? They consult for fashion companies. Very nice video. I am impressed!
Yes, Arthur, isn't this great! Fixed rate conversions of debt into equity at prices that are higher than the current trading price. Show me one other penny stock that has done this. VSTR is in a league of its own, and they are doing the right thing.
In case you didn't realize, I was referring to the floating rate convertibles that every other sub-penny has to do to get financing. None have ever happened here. It is against their philosophy. I give them a lot of credit for protecting the shareholders.
I would mention several tickers here, but ihub gets very nasty when that happens. But look at that cannabis stock that is the land of the future, it is at $.0005 today, after being $0.003 (they own a grow license in Oregon or something like that). They had two toxic convertibles at 50% discounts to the "market price" of the stock. When those debt holders started converting in late September, the stock could only go down. If you really dig into the filings, you realize that the debt converted at a penny by VSTR is from the founder ($314,000 term note). I don't know what the founder knows that is so special, but he knows enough to give up debt that was in default, which he could have used as a weapon against the company, and he converted it at a huge premium to the current trading price.
I like to think the founder knows that this stock is going to be very valuable. Thank you for highlighting this issue.
Q2 ends tomorrow. I am eager to see some improvement in the results. Real professionals are running the show here. I picked up another 200,000 shares. Quietly putting away a load of stock here. I don't think I will be able to buy this low much longer. No CDs at VSTR. I am tired of the convertibles killing off the sub penny stocks. I had a nice cannabis stock and got out at 0.003 because I saw that some 6-month notes were coming due. The notes matured and converted at the 50% discount to market, and kept selling and now the stock is 0.0006. Nice volume, but too many little guys got hurt. VSTR is the stock where the small investor can make some money without having shares slammed in her face.
hmm, I met Goldberg this year. I thought he was a nice guy. My scientist friend, who is doing cannabis in Michigan, bought two of his Aquaboy machines for an indoor grow operation. He thought they were quite good, so I figured I should look into the company more before we did other business with him.
The bid is solid. I wonder what is brewing.
No CDs here. Wow! Thinking about this 8-K,I almost fell out of my chair. This kind of aged debt is typically grabbed up by some vulture, but VSTR keeps doing the right thing with its cap table. They are amazing! They just sold debt at a fixed rate of one cent per share.
Great 8-K!!! Did you see this? They sold debt at a penny.
They convinced someone it was a good deal to trade-in their debt at 1 cent a share. Impressive. There is no reason for a debt holder to do that, especially when the debt was past-due. CEO and CFO must be a tough negotiating team.
Nice volume today. You gotta think they will eventually eat thru the selling.
They have some legit people who want to be associated with the business. That is interesting.
This is nothing like that other company, or most any penny stocks -- they stayed away from the ashers and jsjs of the world. No toxic debt in this company.
Having said that, they are far from perfect, but if they can drive some revenue here, or show that the pieces of companies that they own are worth something, this stock can run.
Yeah, I saw the Shawn interview. Very nice. They are lining up people to get behind the company.
Looks like someone crossed a million shares, and a few of us were able to get in the way and buy some too
Did we win yet? What are the angels doing? We could use some news and direction.
Having NetCapital around gives VSTR some low-hanging fruit to pick. Looks like a great relationship. And the bonus is that the value of the equity we own in NetCapital keeps going up!
some NetCapital news today. Nice progress for the company we own part of
BOSTON, Oct. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Netcapital is excited to announce the formation of a strategic partnership with Techstars, the worldwide network that helps entrepreneurs succeed. Techstars has a portfolio of over 1,000 companies (growing by over 300 per year), 90% of which are still active or have been acquired. Those same companies have raised over $3.8 billion in capital. Through Netcapital.com, anyone will be able to invest in companies alongside Techstars. Netcapital has earned the confidence and support of David Brown, David Cohen, and the Techstars team. David Brown is also joining the Netcapital board.
Netcapital is a capital raising platform that connects investors to entrepreneurs to help private companies grow. It's a simple process. Startups seeking funding can list on Netcapital.com, and anyone can purchase shares online with just a few clicks. Individuals can review the list of available offerings and invest any amount between $99 and $107,000.
"We view Netcapital as a paradigm shift in the dynamics of the capital markets and the ways that startups connect with consumers," said David Brown, co-CEO of Techstars. "This means that anyone can now invest in our companies right along with us."
The Netcapital and Techstars partnership signals a movement towards online security offerings for private companies. "Most of the value created by tech companies happens in the private markets, before an IPO," said Jason Frishman, founder and CEO of Netcapital. "Techstars, as a leading global accelerator, facilitates much of that value creation. Now, anyone will be able to participate in that growth by investing through Netcapital.com into Techstars companies."
Netcapital and Techstars will begin with a few select Techstars companies and accelerator programs, with the ultimate goal of expanding to include the entire portfolio.

I am really eager for some news. This new CEO and CFO have significant experience and contacts. If they can deliver a technology company, this stock is easily 10 cents IMHO.
As a Cowboys fan (maybe i shouldn't post that) i am really enjoying Tony Romo in the broadcast booth when he calls the next play, and then the offense actually runs the play that Tony called. Pretty soon, i think we can be calling the next play at VSTR. They are gelling like they mean it. But we need a couple of news releases to see where exactly they are going.
I gotta believe this TechCrunch, or TechStars, or whoever is driving traffic to Netcapital is going to give some spillover benefit to VSTR.
We see that Chronability is a VSTR client and did a nice crowd funding raise. VSTR is really poised to scoop up some business here, and some of the stock they hold in these start-ups must be worth something.
My guess is that eventually VSTR will be able to book revenues and an asset for these businesses that it takes an equity stake in because of Netcapital.
And why? Because Netcapital will create a trading platform for the stock of companies like Chronability. With a determinable market value, these investments can be booked. IMEO
Very nice 8K. They are explaining things so that even I can understand them.
They must be meeting with people (funds, investors, etc.) if they felt the need to submit an 8K for Reg FD. I have seen these 8Ks when a company is pitching its story to someone face-to-face to encourage buying in the stock. Whatever it is, it is clear that they have a plan and are taking steps to execute the plan.
Some of the pieces of these little companies are going to be worth something, IMHO.
Have you seen the equity stakes they have taken in 12 companies?
https://valuesetters.com/partners
I wonder about the order...Netcapital is listed first, Zelgor second, Chronability thired, Emogi fourth. Emogi might already be worth several million, and no doubt that Netcapital is worth several million.
We need to get this stock on the Breakout Boards. Kraysler should attract attention, but my guess is that her fellow fund managers don't buy OTC stocks. But they can buy it for their personal accounts.
Serious financial talent has come to Valuesetters. Kraysler ran 5-star funds and Lenk is a professional angel investor. Now they have a CEO a CFO and a CTO and they are all women. Let's show them our approval and get behind this stock. I have waited a long time for this.
Again, THAT CASH FLOW STATEMENT --- They only borrowed $19,300 for the ENTIRE YEAR. And yet they are quietly taking pieces of early stage companies. Not many shares in the float here. They have always said they won't do a toxic convertible, and once again, they didn't. I'm excited.
What will be next?
I gotta believe that with Cecilia they can attract some good clients and a couple of more employees / consultants. Cecilia is on the angel list. She knows how to invest in start-ups
https://angel.co/cecilia-lenk
I give these guys a lot of credit. They make progress little by little without spending too much cash and without doing CDs. Did you see their cash flow statement? Net cash used in operating activities was only $14,179. That is unbelievable, given that they hardly have any sales. Or, it is simply brilliant.
They are putting away pieces of small companies, like Zelgor and netcapital and madhat. And a few of these are going to be worth something.
But they hardly had to raise any money because the cash used in operating activities was only $14,000. Bravo! T
Now they have a Harvard PhD stepping in to run things. Their 10-Q is due Thursday and I am not expecting much yet, but it will be a great sign that things are moving along if they can file that 10-Q ON TIME.
So what's the deal with this stock? I spoke to the CEO. I always like it better when they answer a call and chat a bit. It sounds like he is trying hard and wants to succeed, but he can't say too much. I thought he was a good guy.
I like to pick up shares in the trips when I can. It always amazes me how long these stock take to go up, but next thing you know it's a ten-bagger.
I spoke to Cecilia Lenk. She seems solid. Harvard PhD. But the reason I hunted her down is that they own more than 5% of Netcapital, the equity based crowdfunding site. What a great way to invest in Netcapital, buy picking up some VSTR shares.
I saw the Mad Money show where netcapital was interviewed. Check it out on the CNBC website. Or search Jim Cramer Netcapital. It's on youtube too. It aired on July 6th.
One of the companies #VSTR invested in is doing well, and I bet another one, #Zelgor, is doing well too. #Zelgor just raised money on netcapital at a multi million dollar market cap. VSTR owns a chunk of Zelgor too. These guys are putting together a nice portfolio. No wonder they attracted someone from Harvard to come in and take over.
