Good presentation by the NioCorp team. The revised FS presents some compelling investment-related numbers. What I heard was that the estimated start-to-finish construction would be about 2 yrs 4 mos, which is not that bad considering the amount of construction needed for this type of mine project. Wish you all the best. I'm on the sidelines for now, but watching closely for investing opportunities.

Congrats! The revised FS numbers on IRR/NPV look much better than the original. GLTU all.
"Freeport, BHP, Nevada Copper Corp and other miners are spending more than $1.1 billion to develop fresh copper projects in the United States, a country once seen as a laggard in the global mining industry." That's a trend shift.
Good article on intermediate and longer-term outlook on copper supply/demand.

Key is that strong copper prices should hold this year and likely go up some after that. Looking good for EXMGF timing and excellent profit margin.
Chilean miner Antofagasta Plc. (LON: ANTO) expects the anticipated global copper deficit to hit between 100,000 and 300,000 tonnes this year as consumption growth remains positive, but production increases are minimal.

Matt made a lot of conservative assumptions, and he disclosed in article as such. However, one assumption that I thought was really conservative was assuming, for his 50% of NPV calculation, that Excelsior Mining would not pursue the acid plant option.
The CAPEX required for constructing an acid plant at Stage III would be about $80 million, but save nearly $680 million for LOM. Direct operating cost of $.65/lb copper (with acid plant) vs $.97/lb (without acid plant) for LOM. Seems to me to be a no-brainer that Excelsior Mining will pursue the acid plant scenario when it decides to jump to Stage III production, and factor that in when it seeks funding for Stage III. I believe that Twyerould's corporate presentations have included the acid plant CAPEX (about $80M) in their projections for CAPEX needed (about $230M additional to Stage II CAPEX).

Good reading.
Totally agree, PG. Would be nice to see some ATM buying by the insiders.
Morabito, as Chairman/CEO of King & Bay, has a lot of holdings in various companies that King & Bay services, since he gets a board director/senior officer position in those companies or when King & Bay is an insider/insider subsidiary of those companies. So he gets a lot of cheap shares through director compensation and incentive options.
He does a lot of insider transactions (buy or sell) for those companies, which include Canada Jetlines, Alderon Iron Ore Corp., Jet Metal Corp, Xineoh Technologies Inc., Litheon Energy, and Logan Resources Ltd. Excelsior Mining is just one of those in his bag, but it seems his more recent insider transactions have focused on Excelsior Mining and Canada Jetlines.
SEDI indicates he's done quite a few "private" transactions to dispose of shares. Maybe those are when he gifts a portion of his shares to his wife. Question is whether his wife holds onto those shares, or does she then sell them on the public market? If she does, those aren't reflected in SEDI since she's not an insider and Morabito doesn't have to report her sales, as an insider transaction, so long as he claims he has no control over her decisions to sell.
Thanks, PG. JJ told you that?
The assertion that "none of these types of amendments create an opening for public review or appeal" is incorrect, as it applies to the proposed amended portions of the permit. See ADEQ flow chart. https://legacy.azdeq.gov/environ/water/permits/download/appflowchart.pdf
As to whether someone would actually challenge the proposed amendment, I hope that they don't/won't.
Not sure, quite frankly. Link below is to an earlier (nearly one year ago) ADEQ public notice to amend the APP permit, when it was quite obvious that Excelsior Mining would be using the ISR approach, so I doubt the current permit amendment is to adjust for the ISR approach. Likely some fine tuning of the permit based on actual construction and operational plans.
https://azdeq.gov/node/4688
I'm not alarmed as long as the current permit amendment process doesn't delay or impede the progress or timeline of construction. I'm not real keen about ADEQ having to undergo another public notice/comment period as that just provides another opportunity for someone (e.g., environmental group) to try to delay the project.
Arizona Dept of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) just published a notice of its intent to issue a significant amendment to Excelsior Mining's APP permit, with public comment period from today until March 7, 2019. I don't know if this was expected/requested by Excelsior Mining (I assume it was). Not sure of the basic purpose, other than as explained in the Executive Summary, link to which is posted on the following ADEQ website.
This is just a fyi, only, and I don't think it's a reason to be alarmed.
https://azdeq.gov/node/5655
Looks like great progress on construction, judging by photos of various construction elements at the Gunnison site.
Go to the timeline page, place your cursor over "FEB", and you'll see various photos posted as of February 5. https://www.excelsiormining.com/corporate/timeline
Getting closer, and closer ….
I think there are some potential investors and former longs who think they'll be able to jump in/jump back in (after selling some shares) at near current share price. Maybe so, but risky proposition to wait. Sooner or later, the share price is going to go up (hopefully sooner).

Nice article, link provided by Kirschblau on Stockhouse board. Bullish on copper mining in the US, and specifically mentions Excelsior Mining:

Per @FundamentalAnalysis at the CEO.CA Excelsior Mining board, "Morabito selling shares, because there was margin covering in his account on other positions. Ended up being forced selling apparently." In case you've been following recent SEDI filings lately and wondering wtf is Morabito doing with his recent sales of shares.
I missed the "town hall" call they had on Wednesday where this issue apparently came up.
I like it! Major revamp from presentation style of prior slides.

Taseko's Florence project - another post by ArizonaBilly
Looks like Taseko is pretty pleased with the initial indications of its copper ISR project at Florence, AZ. Some geological differences between the Excelsior Mining Gunnison project and Taseko's Florence project, but initial positive ISR reports from Taseko are promising for Excelsior Mining's project.

Great review, PG. Just to add a couple of tidbits: I was curious whether ongoing production during Stage I would be interrupted if Excelsior Mining decided to initiate expansion to either Stage II or Stage III. JJ from Excelsior Mining said "no", which is great since that means no interruption to cash flow.
I also asked JJ if Excelsior Mining intended to try to list on NASDAQ or ASE. He indicated they want to list on the NYSE (wow … okay), once they get the share price above $2 USD/share. He said they "have taken two companies to the NYSE in the past so we know exactly how to do it; but it's just a function of our share price at this particular moment." I like that optimism (expectation to get share price above $2 USD/share and listing on NYSE).
Glad Suerte posted the link to the construction timeline on Excelsior Mining's home web page. Great idea by management, and glad they're including photos. Exciting times ahead for Excelsior Mining and its shareholders. I expect that if the current share price stays at its current levels, we'll be seeing some insider buying (including Greenstone, Triple Flag, or Capital Group) at the market. That will really light the fuse for share price appreciation.
Bloomberg article.

Well, you may want to sell that 10 foot pole. It'll cost you (profits) in 2019. But, good luck to you on your other junior miner investment.
Ah, too bad. You're dreaming now. Buy now, and you'll be glad you did.
Well, lol, Putz said he'd be buying at $.62/share (not sure if he meant USD or Canadian). If the former, he might be an Excelsior Mining long soon. If the latter, he won't ever be an Excelsior Mining long.
Thanks very much for the great info, PG.
Really like the financial projections on the Burkina Faso project. Tons of insider buying by CEO and Sun Valley. Production scheduled for end 2020, with great NPV (and likely to be higher NPV after DFS updated). Experienced mgt team, Eric Coffin is high on the company. Bargain share price right now.
You wrote: "I hope your other board members give NioCorp a peek while they wait for Excelsior to catch the wind."
I have, and I'm with Suerte. Wish u all in NioCorp the best, though.
Forgot to also mention that with Triple Flag equity purchase and Greenstone matching proportionate amount of shares to maintain % ownership, the share count would be about 230 million shares outstanding, or 250 million shares fully diluted.
fyi - Excelsior Mining's corporate presentation, Nov 2018. https://www.excelsiormining.com/images/pdf/Presentation/2018/nov/Nov_13_2018.pdf
Doesn't really mention the Triple Flag financing arrangement. Mostly rehash of prior info, but includes fact that the Gunnison project is fully permitted.
One interesting note (not in the presentation): The model used by Excelsior Mining for the all-in cost ($1.23/lb copper) apparently doesn't include the corporate G&A costs and aspects of the recently closed financing. Someone theorized that the Triple Flag financing may have added $.07 USD to the all-in cost (to raise to total of $1.30/lb), which still makes (in my opinion) investing in Excelsior Mining highly attractive. Not sure how much projected corporate G&A costs would add to the per pound all-in cost.
