Let’s dive in! 🧵
I really think that will be a big possibility. But not in the near term. If S7 is the only ACC provider in production ( whatever that means in $$) and can get those orders in at the start of the 800G market, Semtec and Macom will consider buying S7.
Yes, i agree Robert. I didn’t got much feedback from my OPTICA slide where Cisco shows ACCs.
My LinkedIn post with the short clip from Nvidia is like by technical people working for Samtec and Aces.
Great repost Hunting. Glad you told us this
Great, i need to check this! Yes!
Bid is higher than the ask
Thanks for this!
A data center operator has no choice but to choose the most efficient equipment that will meet the specifications and get the job done most efficiently.
Cisco + nvidia + Infiniband search

Reaction from the team on my OPTICA slide I received yesterday. Cisco loves our tech.
Hi Steve,
Thanks for this! You are so connected. Here is from our team:
“We have good connections at Cisco into 3 business units. We sampled them all with 400G cables (56G PAM4) and they were impressed, but didn’t need the extra length at that speed. As the slide shows, they plan to use ACC’s at 800G (112G PAM4).“
I forgot, but why is it called ‘linear’. I explained it on LinkedIn. Changes are i made myself look stupid
Anthony Torza, he was the cisco presenter showing the ACC slide.
Exactly! This company should have a marketcap of at least 250M for starters based on what we 'see'
Yes Future. We are getting there. 2024 should give us a clear view. 2025 will be big. First slow, then faster
Not sure it's cryptic. Pretty clear, imo. "Manage you power supply or be in trouble". "Choose a tech that doesn't drain your datacenters" That's how I read it
Hyperscalers are also increasingly sensitive to the high power requirements for other cabling options, which can exceed the power required by the switch itself. Spectra7's ACC cables provide a unique solution to this challenge and reduce both the capital cost and operating cost of a hyperscale data center.
The trick is ‘not minding that it hurts’
Sit and don’t over analyze the shareprice.
Look for tomahawk 800G systems in CC’s among the players
Accumulate and wait.
Just saw on the flemish tv that Foxconn will build huge datacenters together with Nvidia.
Good
Great link Neophyte.
ACC cables are used to extend the low-cost, low-power, and low latency of copper cables from 3- to 5-meters which can span several racks. ACCs are essentially DAC cables with an additional IC in each end to boost the signal power and noise reduction. This cable uses a pre-emphasis type of circuit, aka linear ACC, that learns the noise signal and inverts it before sending down the cable creating an anti-noise. The noise and anti-noise energies cancel each other out preserving the data signal. Unlike HDR/200GbE ACCs that use DSPs, pre-emphasis ACCs have very low power and low latency.[\i]

Who gave you a good impression? Or who was more noticeable then others?
Thank you so much BostonGekko for your personal impressions. This is very valuable information.
Being in the same room can give you so much more ‘feel’. Bonnie is so valuable for the team, she really has grown.
Did you speak to Raouf to? Did they interact a lot with the crowd?
I think we are in pretty good shape when it comes down to testing. I'm sure tier1 relay on their cablemakers to test anything and everything.
Anticipating TM5 launch, soon after we will get those long awaited orders. AI isn't hype, datacenters won't stall this time.
Thanks Whitesahara, Bonnie did indeed do a great job saying this.
Let’s assume that roadblock is finally cleared.
Yes correct. But to be fair. Define volume production. Most of our volume comes from Sony. She did press Tencent again.
Going to watch it later today again
No hurry. We will be here.
The 2 founders are still there.
The link is indeed broken. I just checked and a replay isn't available yet, which is a real bummer.
My son was playing his new game with friends on my PC, so I couldn't record it live. I hope we still get a chance to see it.
Hey team,
Loved the presentation! Well done. Very good point on the powersupply budget problems datacenters has. They are cornered, one place to go is analog to expand that budget!
Awesome!
Steve
Raouf instant replay:
Thx SS ! Power dissipation is now design consideration #1 for data centers ….
Bonnie killed it in the Q&A. Strong presentation. I already thought about it but Tomahawk 5 is very important to the success of ACCs. If they launch next year, S7 will exlode
Using AOC and/or AEC is eating away the limited powersupply budget from datacenters. There is no place to go but ACCs!!!!
This can’t go wrong anymore
Bonnie is relaxed and making jokes
Looking now
I disagree Gary. You can be a marketleader without customers. I may be a poor investor at current time, but i may be a genius over 6 months.
The 800G market need is there. The ecosystem, copper and fiber systems are capable of providing datacenters the much needed upgrade. It’s a whole different ballgame.
Macom and Semtech are showing their 112ghz pam 4 cables at ecoc.
No need to doubt based on stockprices.
Also thanks Boston for being our eyes and ears.
