Ronin is not an activist hedge fund. So there.
This has nothing to do with PPHM.
I always chuckle when people give the BOD credit for avoiding debt. They sell hundreds of millions of shares at prices that those same people believe is a fraction of what the company is worth. A monkey could do that.
No debt. Whoohoo.
Incredible.
I have tried to contact them plenty of times to no avail. They are scumbags who are stealing from shareholders and have been for years. I would love the opportunity to correspond with them in some manner, however I will not waste thousands of more dollars to go to an ASM to do it.
I would be up for a name change. Anything to get the PPHM stink off of us. Change it to Avid.
They can definitely use them against future Avid profits as long as Avid is part of PPHM. They are starting to expire soon I think. They can not be sold as part of an acquisition and used by the acquiring company against their income however. It is much more complicated than saying we have $600m in nols so they are worth $210m to an acquirer. That's what many here would like to believe. It's like saying Avid is worth five time revenue because that's the industry average and failing to look at the declining margins and limited customers.
No tax credits. You are wrong. I understand why. It has been erroneously posted as fact on this board for years. It will certainly continue
Cheynew, you're voting the white card? Say it ain't so!
No on mixed board. Simple.
The only sane thing to do.
Agreed, the only way the four stooges have any chance to remain is for people to put anything on the white card. It is foolish. I think CP should repeat his theory, graphs and slides included, another hundred times or so.
"Major companies
Juno Therapeutics
Kite Pharma
Novartis
Collectis"
Something is missing here. Am I on the wrong board?
Oh, I get it now. So what you are saying is that we should unbalance the white card by voting only four of them but not Schwartz, Pohl and Johnson. I didn't pick that up from you previously. Thanks.
Soon to be added is that we are waiting on a deal by November 13, hence the delay in the ASM.
You left out quite a few others, but it is a good snapshot.
Of course there will be no deal with the current crew. Never is.
I wonder if the deal not signed before november13 is the same deal that was not signed to prevent the rs. I bet it is. Too funny. Always a deal in the works. Insiders haven't bought shares in ten plus years? Must be a pending deal. That's the reason. Charlie Brown syndrome.
The share price at the time of that "no worries - if you know what I mean" quote was about $43, or about a 90% decline ago. No worries - if you know what I mean.
He started in 2005.

Kelly, sorry I can't respond. We added big today. No worries - if you know what I mean.
Take care,
James
They are stalling to collect more fees and put off the inevitable.
It's a "red flag" that they don't want King, a lab guy who has already been replaced as president of Avid by his own people, to run a CDMO? That's weird.
I was told there was no way that I could guarantee no deal in October, but I did it anyway. Talk about guts.

"They tried for 20 years to get a BP to partner or buy-in"
This I disagree with. If they partnered, they never would have been allowed to pay themselves what they did for so long. They acted as if they wanted a partner, but never wanted the money train to stop. They are filthy.
We really are lucky to get this opportunity. I've purchased/accumulated/traded this pig for about twelve years like a moron. Now I feel I've been given a chance to make something out of it. Need to get to a little under eight bucks to get even. I should get close to that by just having the crooks removed. I'm interested to see what Ronin's crew can do with Avid. I think they have some plans in place, low hanging fruit, more clients, etc. Could get it to 10-15 fairly quickly.
Bottom line is we can't blow this opportunity by chasing boogey men and voting some type of unbalanced ticket that could keep the criminals in place.
BURN THE WHITE CARD!
I highly doubt that anyone would deal with the current crew based on what is going on internally. I suppose it's possible they could announce another fake DIOS type deal as some sort of Hail Mary.
If they are stalling for any particular reason, I would think it is Avid related, new customers, higher projections, good second quarter, who knows.
I think they are just frozen and trying to make things as difficult as possible.
Can't wait until they are gone.
I wish they would have tallied how many times they mentioned partnership talks. That would be funny.
Ridiculous isn't it. Have shareholders been treated professionally for the past twenty years?
Currently typing multi-paragraph novels that will convince no one. It couldn't be any more simple. Can not wait.
Trying to sell Avid so they can run some more failed trials and pay themselves far into the future. What a bunch of scumbags. I am going to take a picture of me burning the white card and I am going to mail it to each of them.
It is completely unfathomable that any long term shareholder could read that and still support the current cast of criminals. There would absolutely have to be another reason. Great job as usual.
"Unbalancing the vote" leaves a decent chance that the three pieces of garbage that the courts say have been stealing from us for years can remain on the board making $400k per year for years to come. That would be absolutely foolish. It amazes me that some want that.
The new BOD had a serious problem by being forced to add new members in an attempt to keep their annuities. Shareholders would assume that the new BOD fees in total would be north of $3m which is ridiculous. They had to announce the fee structure for the patsies they assigned to the board. They would have been better off not even mentioning their own ridiculous salaries as opposed to saying they would be reduced "over time". I am surprised that they did this. They are usually smarter than that. If they remain on the BOD as some seem to want, we will see little to no reduction of pay "over time". That is pretty obvious. If they dodge this bullet, they will be more brazen then ever in their thievery.
Your proposal leaves a chance that the three criminals remain. Burn the White CARD!
