Julio if you meant to insinuate I'm trying to cause a drop because I'm short tmdi i find that funny. I have a margin account that does not allow for short selling. I'm long titan my friend. I was reacting to the new info from the video.
Gulp...the 25mm umbilicus incision has been a big sell point...is that 86'd as well? If using a gel port, why pay all that money for a robot, why not just do traditional lap?
Also, release of video today seems to hint maybe announcing design freeze today?
Now THAT is a high quality promo video! Complete with hip EDM. Things are lining up well. I've known 2019 would be a big year for a while.
Im told jnj is indeed developing their own in house, but their strategy is also acquisitions.
Same - can't wait to see intuitive squirm. They will have to have a week long company wide seminar teaching novel terms like "discount", "rebate" and "negotiation".
I wonder the degree of monopoly monarch will enjoy from its patents- if successfully hedged it may not have any competitors for 20 years and that would've been a contributing factor. Additionally - the fact that Moll created it had a lot to do with the high price - the "Moll factor". P.s. Isn't the Auris deal tantamount to a partnership with intuitive and JnJ/google?
If Columbia is an early adopter that would set the table well
I'll bite $3.61
Feels like pink sheet days
Technically TMDI could have partnered with JnJ for ligaclip yes, but they wouldn't have to do the full suite partnership and could still potentially utilize verb.
This does however appear to solidify the theory that there is no direct JnJ partnership/ownership interest - the lack of a partnership in ligation clips suggests JnJ considers TMDI a competitor.
This is big news, if for no other reason than the credibility lent to SPORT by partnering with a well established leader in endo technology. Exciting news!
Teleflex is the leader in ligation clips with hemo lok. They lost business when Symmetry Sugrical purchased veso lock which was spun off from hemo lol by old teleflex employees. Teleflex just purchased veso lock back.
Id think if they were going to announce design freeze ahead of schedule they would have the other execs there to answer the technical/fda questions . Is that what you think will happen?
It seems this may just be an update on the closed offering, based on timing and the fact that only Mc and Randall are presenting. Possibly an fyi that theyre doing the bloom burton presentation.
Or maybe its big news....place your bets. What do you think Flendy?
Dear Mr. Taco,
OK.

'Stang - thanks for the kind words, know that I feel the same about you. In my mind you are the Gandolf of this board - the wise and powerful wizard.
My contacts at both companies are VP level sales/strategic account/contract managers. Neither offered a reason why no single port offering up front. JnJ seemed confused by the term "single port". This may have been honest ignorance or NDA. Medtronic outright claimed they are not working on it. JnJ seemed excited to bring in the VERB nerds for a meeting - could be informative.
I see one of three scenarios:
1 - They are lying and are working on a direct single port competitor, somehow working around existing patents, or considering buying the tech.
2 - They are working on high-level, out of the box future tech competitor that will leap-frog and obsolete single port tech (e.g., what CDs did to Laserdisc). Perhaps something that utilizes existing body cavities, avoiding new holes, like prostate removal through the Urethra.
3 - They are indeed focused only on multi-port offerings, as you mentioned the patent hurdle was too great for single port. R&D for a multi-port in and of itself must be a huge undertaking so it would make sense not to spread those resources too thin at first. They may not see single port as viable at this point (their folly!).
I believe for now #3 is true. However if I were being paid by Titan to provide a SWOT analysis I would list #2 as a clear and present threat. With VERB's future-tech focus it makes sense they would be exploring leaner, more cost effective high-tech solutions. As a TMDI investor this is material. However I don't believe any relevant product offerings will occur soon enough to disrupt SPORT's prospective launch and ascent as a novel technology.
I recently spoke with mid levem leadership at JNJ, for what it's worth they anticipate having a robot competing with the daVinci platform in ~2 years. They stated no single port. Medtronic said the same in a recent conversation. However JNJ said their strategy is both to buy and make their own robots. I also learned VERB has access to utilize all Google's patents.
Or how about Barry Manilow. Investors have been Buried by Many lows.
Devil's advocate - what more would you do to raise PPS currently ? It has risen recently with a couple rounds of good news, and has held thanks to uplist (or "uplift" as some call it). At this point in the game I'm not sure what else Big Mac can do. Seems a long game move to keep afloat and I don't think it's a terrible move.
I saw this headline on Drudge
Im not sure where to get their rev figures...abyone with bbg terminal?
Any insight into the market cap of KS? It seems valuations are guarded.
This post isn't getting enough attention.
KS seems a natural partner, morseo than conmed.
Fowler was previously employed at Columbia. It's not a far leap to say he provided a connection between Titan and Storz.
They should clear easily with the predicate device being SP, is that what you're thinking?
It was brilliant on Titan's part if the plan was to let SP do the heavy lifting with the FDA, and just breeze through with 510k.
Exciting! Should be around 8-9 by mod year if they make design freeze in H1...in my estimation
Wait, you mean SPORT isn't the chick in the avatar?
Low volume day. Taking a breather
If he's counting a buy and sell transaction this is in line with market if not a little higher. TD is ay 6
Giddyup! This pony's about to prance!
Good thing I'm in and adding!
Equilibriated...I think you may have coined a new term.
I've given up trying to understand the drivers behind this stock price. But one could logically assume a good catalyst like a presser could give us the shot needed to bounce upward
The Golden Cross! Yipee!
I wish I coukd look into a crystal ball and see 10 years down the road. Am I on my yacht in naples, or dingy on the chattahoochee river?
*Stryker bought Mako
Thanks BigT. I agree with your assesment. This is going to be a fun year in Titanland!
I'd like to say ISRG may be spreading themselves too thin with a 3rd robot platform...neither SP or ION is coming into existence without competition, like they enjoyed with DaVinci. However, they are so large and profitable I don't doubt they can handily cover two new product lines in the market. They are a good company from an investor's perspective, and additional revenue streams only strengthens their position. Their reputation with clinicians is quality so I imagine they will do reasonably well with SP and ION.
Doesn't worry me as an TMDI investor (*ahem* adrocks) because to quote BigT it validates the market and SP is NOT made for ASCs like SPORT is. I believe thay will be SPORT's competitive advantage.
You think we hit the $8/11 price target soon? Offering necessary in 2019 with warrants rolling in?
I can see JnJ or Medtronic easily swooping up TMDI. Even just buying a controlling interest. A few billion is chump change for these behemoths. SPORT will forever change the ASC landscape.
$6.30 on the ask as of right now...?!
