It does certainly seem we are in store for a big announcement. I've just got this feeling we are in store for something special next week, it has been a very long time coming. Much like Brainstorm Cell - which by the way, I very rarely look at pharma but man the world could be in for a surprise next week with NurOwn. And it's about time ALS patients received some hope. I mean there are folks in the trial that are apparently walking and lifting weights who were previously unable to do so. I sincerely hope for the same quality outcomes with Sintx for all the patients involved in botched surgeries, and infection based on poor quality options in todays market. The time is now.
Company has been in a different unique situation year after year. This year, they are positioned for growth with the best looking balance sheet they have had. It would be nice to see a buyback, that would be a nice surprise.
Sure, but this has held nicely. We'll see how it holds up through the extension window and the ER. I'm seeing some nice things forming. Mid term 6wks-9months. This could be transformed.
This has been in uptrend YTD since they released the 30 year study. Short and mid-term sentiment is very strong.
Yes, but finally a sustained uptrend going on here vs. pump, short, dump. I like it. I can't remember the last time that happened. It's been a while. It does certainly appear that in their current position, they look primed.
Got it, thanks for checking and the quick response Boston.
I haven't been able to check, but any truth to the after hours movement? I only ask because Selby is going on right now, and Dr. Webb has been talking on PEEK/Silicon Nitride composite material they partnered with CTL on. There are a few different presentations last I checked.
I don't claim to be a fortune teller, but I do still believe that they are going to hit a rapid growth cycle soon or there will be a change of hands via merger/buyout. Valuation here is too low, and the recent partnership with CTL was a sign of things to come if you ask me. The research is stacked too high, and this innovation/IP is too valuable.
My jaw dropped when I saw this. I mean reading this, Si3N4 could potentially prevent & treat Alzheimer's.
Is this for real?!!! Check this out,

And we already know the following,
si3n4 and gum disease
They are developing a new generation of orthopaedic bearings for hip and knee arthroplasty. For who? Website updated.
Found this interesting,

Completely agree with this post. Also find interesting how quiet they have been. Last time they were this quiet recently - CTL Deal. I like what i'm reading behind the scenes. I'm hopeful for some good things in 2019.
I find the mgmt and personnel changes especially interesting considering the new hires, Long going back to ramp up and the suggestive language in their reqs.
Oh They are working on it, Check this out,
Biocompatibility of Common Implantable Sensor Materials in a Tumor Xenograft Model
It's going to be pretty awesome when they pair this with nano systems.
Thanks For sharing B, I hadn't read this yet. Sintx could certainly help! Sounds like 2019, sigh, but maybe an early holiday present (announcement). I don't see how with 22 employees they can create much traction without growth or merger. Larger corp could obviously benefit greatly.
It's now clear as day to me after the CTL call that Sonny was pushing to quickly offload the spine business as part of their strategic roadmap. This was less about how much they could gleam, but how much they could redeem through future cost savings. Had this been pushed out further, they would have found themselves right back where they started eventually. It was costing them too much and the research from this R&D experiment was complete. He has kept the company on track with burn and expenses to create positive trajectory. They now just need to execute. They are in a good position financially speaking.
As far as Zimmer, or any other big company for that matter merging or buying them? They are in a prime time position for this to happen. Whether it happens for sure, I have no idea, but man they are cheap right now.
I thought they were pretty clear on the last Conference call explaining this. Market/hospital penetration was/has been an issue. Not so much product related, which was a reason why dumping the product to someone who could benefit both companies was a good call.
It's irrelevant to recognize sales until we see the benefits of the CTL deal. This was simply mandatory to report. This is a done deal, they will no longer be bleeding money due to a product line that was doing nothing but costing them money. It's in good hands with CTL. Sintx is now a few deals away from positive trajectory so there is a lot of promise here. Best shape I've seen them in a long time. I had a bit of a chuckle when I saw that outstanding share count. Hah!
From Bryan Hanson, "Looking to the balance of the year, we will continue to focus on priorities to improve the consistency of our results and drive sustained value creation. These include important new innovations that are expanding our comprehensive portfolio, advancing standards of care and creating new opportunities for our salesforce to deliver growth."
This could be connected to all the hirings lately?
That really boils down to his agenda and interests. Leadership doesn’t always move back and forth. He could have seen through his role and moved on.
Dana Lyons has moved onto xtant. Would expect name change soon. With less than 22 employees I would think they are getting ready to sell/merge IP R&D.
Curious folks thoughts on the possibility/benefits of fibergraft (Prosidyan) being utilized in conjunction with CSC+Lumen?
At that time sub 30 for sure, what it is now no idea.
Ok I Just checked, close on the 12th (if he was referencing that for the 10am call) was .42. It opened at .40 on the 13th, and averaged around .37 on the 13th.
Wasn't it during the initial call regarding CTL, Bal said that they had more COH than MC - at the time we were at .46. If I remember correctly.
They are sure making this interesting by letting things linger. There was no denial that a merger could be happening in the CC. Also, the fact that we haven't received a PR yet on the closure? RTM? Another offer? or do we finally see the closure happen? Waiting to see what this next PR reveals. Meanwhile its the same story over at Zimmer, with a lot happening behind the scenes. Very interested to see how this story ends in the 4Q.
There would be a Certificate of Amendment effecting the Name Change, that would be included in a SEC filing. Shortly thereafter I would assume the ticker symbol would change.
Ya would expect tomorrow or next week at a minimum.
End of 3Q tomorrow. No PR, No announcement of closing? I wonder why the delay?
Right and what stands out to me is growth NOT including additional licensing deals which haven't even been factored in! Expect Dental to pull considerable revs.
Reverse merger off the table! Whooop!
Thanks Matmar for posting, love this quote,
"I just don't think there's any other company in this industry that has created this much excitement in a very long time."
CTL revs expected to jump 15million by 2020, up to 50million from 35million with Amedica. And Dental expected next year, this all with zero debt and COH, up we go!!
DFW company makes key acquisition that started with a cold call
End of Sept. is the End of Q3. Lets see this deal close and move to phase 2......or will they get another offer.....
OMID thoughts? I may have missed this, not that it matters too much to me as I for one am enjoying the low prices. Interesting nonetheless.
They were clear on the call why they divested those assets. Also instead of talking to surgeons, maybe you need to get out a little more and talk to some patients who have been infected by Co Cr. Hell even the FDA talks to adverse events with cocr and metal on metal.
Off topic, but did Sonny ever mention when the ticker is going to update with the new name? I missed the last 5mins of the call.
yeah why do you hire someone whose job it is to specifically oversee this if you aren't ramping up for something. Believe in the merger or not, hell pick a company, does't matter, this doesn't change the fact that Amedica is now perfectly setup for a RTM. On the Zimmer side, there are certainly signs with all the hiring and ramping of their new teams (both spine and dental) suggest to me Zimmer is getting serious about making some sort of acquisition soon to add to their innovation portfolio, especially with a mission statement to, "Alleviate pain and improve the quality of life for people around the world." Time to get serious.
Best in the world, they have locked up all the best engineers with an expertise in si3n4. Something along those lines.
