If this does indeed RS, the only thing that I see stopping this from plunging yet again over time is either a juicy commercialization deal or as boston points out, something better. Bottom line - some growth prospects. The alternative is they are delisted and maybe start to realize that they need to sign some deals before they will be taken seriously on the street. RS just gives funds an easier ability to drive this lower and bank on it. I would think other long time investors like myself expect more than a proxy that tries to entice with new business, but one that makes it a reality and shows the overall growth strategy with deals in place (that's one I want to continue to invest in). I don't think it's too much to ask that after nearly 5 years I want to see one deal that turns this ship around. They are certainly in a position to make it happen. This is why i'm on the fence. I just wish they would shoot us a little PR here this week to provide a little confidence booster. I really want to see this technology widespread.
Still a no vote on RS. I’m holding out a bit to see if anything changes my mind. More calls. I’m on the fence.
Just saw this on PBS NEWSHOUR: “The Food and Drug Administration announced it is shutting down its controversial “alternative summary reporting” program and ending its decades-long practice of allowing medical device makers to conceal millions of reports of harm and malfunctions from the general public.”
This has been going on for years, but recently there has been some very much needed heightened visibility to what is going on. The Netflix original bleeding edge, the New York times, etc. Very credible outlets displaying major concern. One would think this only re-enforces why the time is now for a big player to swoop in and make a deal for Sintx - if not for the company, for commercialization. It would be transformative from a public relations and innovation standpoint.
Crazy that a close family member of mine was one of 5 that developed chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy shortly after a flu shot (something that happens in 5 in every 100k ppl) All worked at the same hospital, taking the flu shot at the same time. One has already died. I guess it was just a crazy coincidence.
100% agree man, thanks for posting
While we wait for Sintx to announce a new partner to commercialize with to finally start proving how this can help in so many areas, I can’t help but get excited for the coming to the neurodegenerative space. I mean Matt Belina who has ALS is now standing on his own after two years in a wheelchair after his 3rd Nurown treatment. FATE looks to be doing something very similar with cancer. Not to forget, Gene therapy was given the green light this year and is actually starting to cure diseases. I don’t remember a time when we have seen so many medical breakthroughs. Cmon Sintx, get this into more hands.
Maybe they realize that just one commercial application contract is signed and the stock goes parabolic.
I don't like the idea of the RS, otherwise I do think they are in a great position to grow. Best position they have been in a long time as long as they can sign some deals now which is obviously key. I do think we'll see them finally break out this year considering the R&D is in and they have no debt. The recent PEEK meeting showcases their benefits and potential of the new business they intend to capture. They pushed back the RS which is very intriguing considering it's nearly May their 2019 objectives have them breaking into new business.
Nah man I got a call as well. I'm with you on this.
Just a guess, but I think we see a deal made for si3n4 surface coatings coming soon, if Dental commercialization doesn't come before it.
My thoughts exactly. Need to sprinkle some water on this and watch it grow.
Check Twitter, it's happening today and tomorrow.
Really wish I could make it to the PEEK Meeting. This is significant. Anyone else excited for this?
I honestly see this as great news. Gives more time for something to develop to prevent an RS.
Same thing happened for me today Boston.
Annual meeting occurred today.....sigh. I do wonder if they actually received the votes. I received a letter urging that I speak with them....
Have to play 'devils advocate' here, after all going through another RS is a hard pill to swallow given how they are positioned. We have seen deals fall through, i'm eager see this stuff go mainstream and see at least one they have been referring to get the green light. Watching bleeding edge only reinforces that the time is now. How can CoCR still be acceptable?
I certainly hope he'll help with negotiations and aid the company in structuring deals in the future. This does nothing for the investor right now and only shows that they are spending money before they have anything lined up. This could even portray an act of desperation in that they require extra hands to get anything done. If nothing else, why couldn't Sonny lay down some money and invest in the company now? It would indicate to investors a level of confidence in the current business strategy and future growth potential given how far they have come with R&D and erasing debt. I get what he has contributed to in the past, but this is a new beginning for them.
I think the recent hire is great, albeit premature since they haven't signed any deals. There certainly could be some things in the works which explains the recent hire (all good), however it also shows me that they are going to spend more money on resources before they have any money to pay for them, all while investors take the hit. Investors are still in a stand still, hoping and leaving everything to speculation until we understand better what this all means to our ROI.
Why not - First sign a deal, then hire, then only if required pull from the shelf. An RS would be limited, or maybe not even required in this scenario.
Thus far I haven't seen enough to change my vote to a yes. I sincerely hope they postpone this vote on continent news of something being signed.
No, however once they sign something and put them cash flow positive, It will. They need to prove that they can sign some deals. The story will change here quickly. And once they have a few deals in place, THEN i believe potential contract announcements could push this stock up quickly. Just my .02.
Could this mean a defense contract on the way? I do wonder if this will be enough to postpone the annual meeting and the RS.
This is a great hire no doubt about it and says a lot about their future. I'm still voting no on the proxy unless they sign something or Sonny shows some stake here. Short term there really hasn't been much to change my mind. Looks like they have some pieces coming into place. Again, they are hiring folks without securing additional funds. It seems premature unless there are some deals potentially in place. Lets see.
Ya unfortunately until at least one of these commercial opportunities or partnerships that they speak to in their strategy comes to light, i'm not sure there's any reason to believe there is any investment security here. The street could cont. to drive this down and give this no love given its history. I do agree they are uniquely positioned to make growth happen this year. It's now April and we are still waiting. If and when this does happen growth could come quickly a variety of different ways.
This has been a common theme boston. R&D with no real money tied to anything. It's great that things are progressing on that front, but it really does nothing for shareholders, especially with a looming RS. I would assume most shareholders want to see some deal tied to money that will ultimately create a return on investment and get the product in more hands, or in the event of an RS (we just don't see the stock plunge again) So far nothing has really done anything to create that sense of security. I've voted no on the proxy, but I hope that something is released that changes my mind. Today was the first time I saw some actual PR/Communication come through in a very long time, so I hope this is a sign of things changing on that front.
This is exactly what i've been saying. I can understand burning down so you can rid yourself of debt (check) Throwing money at R&D to establish the superiority (check) I understand that this will cont. to establish new products however the IP is READY. They have 19 or so employees, I just don't see how they are able to become profitable and establish rapid growth without selling or merging at this point. They will be washed up if things remain status quo if you ask me. At some point you need to show investors some results and reason why we invested in the first place. This is why I don't understand the recent hire. Typically companies put hiring freezes in place for a reason. CTL asset sale was great for them, we need to see the rest of the sales strategy come together and fast.
I'm pretty confident the patent will not bring a significant PPS rise, however it may just be what they are waiting for to sell/merge. The one thing I don't get - Why hire more ppl if you need to raise money, just doesn't make sense, or why would you want to work for such company if you look at it the other way. You wait until after, unless your confident in what's going on behind the scenes.
Tough pill to swallow for sure, which could be eased if there was just better communication to shareholders regarding the business strategy. He received a 13% rise in compensation in addition to this. I’m still riding this train but it’s a rocky one. I really do hope they redeem themselves from all this by laying down a growth strategy for the IP, and soon. Hopefully before end of April. There have been clues but we need to see it happen.
I do think they will have a much harder time obtaining yes votes and getting this passed, i'd be surprised actually. The lack of any business updates and communication has certainly been a real problem. Maybe if they can make an announcement before the meeting that'll turn the page for them. Let us see.
"Board of Directors hopes not to implement the Reverse Stock Split" There must be something going on behind the scenes that they are waiting on. I don't see how this statement is relevant otherwise.
you sell, simple as that. Their current business strategy is not sustainable. You can't promise to deliver really any signifiant growth to entice future shareholders or simply get this product in more hands unless you sell. In the past it was clear R&D while burning down expenses, in addition becoming debt free. They are finally in a position now that all of this is complete to deliver some real IP based growth. Partner, make some deals, and restore shareholders confidence or Sell. All will be forgiven even considering some of the missteps along they way. In the end I really just want to see this material improving lives. It's proven, so lets get on with it.
We have not seen the IP translate into real success, however the company never been in as good a position as it is now. It is positioned for growth and success with an IP that is disruptive - just hope they they take advantage instead of sidelining this for more R&D while they wait for the best opportunity. They do need to start communicating more frequently to investors instead of keeping us in the dark.
Ya man, he needs to make something happen to redeem this business strategy. Did I see he received a pay increase? When you aligned the co debt free with a superior product, the time is now to see through and make a deal. I still see this as a very good possibility, but not sure many shareholders are going to be so forgiving this time around if it's just more R&D expense when you're a a company of ~19.
The last time there was a disclaimer to sell, they sold assets. I wonder what will happen this time. You can’t commercialize with what, 19 employees? I wonder what CTL and Sintx we’re discussing when they met recently about the future of Si3N4.
Just thought I'd share this, posted just a bit ago from Chicago Tribune,
FDA medical devices safety
Not sure how that would work, i'm just fascinated this hasn't been explored. There are all these companies that seem to be exploring bonding agents to reduce infection, when this material already does it.
Could this serve as another potential application for Si3N4? Is there something I'm missing?
'Antibiotic Envelopes' Could Cut Infections After Pacemaker Implant
I wonder what gave them the confidence to lift there 'hiring freeze'.
I'd argue it's here and exploding right now. I believe it's certainly the most exciting thing in healthcare right now. Genetics have been blown wide open. I think it'll soon become standard to get your genetics mapped. They are finally finding ways to prevent, stop progression, and even reverse major illness using the body's own immune system and genetic playbook.
Precision medicine could certainly be a driver for Sintx. A company could have Si3N4 as an option for anyone who requires it. I just can't believe this company hasn't merged or been bought by anyone and differentiate their portfolio as the only company that provides this option.
