Yes. I have to admit though: sometimes this doesn't work. I also have JNUG shares covered by $5 and $6 calls that expire this Friday. They used to be OTM when I sold them
BTW, max pain index for 1/20 stands at 8.5 right now.
I've done the same @ 9.01 but... my bet: JNUG will be below 9 this Friday, so I sold Jan-20 9 calls. If I am wrong they will give me just 0.6/share.
Trump Intervenes With Dollar Rhetoric
"Mr. Trump has broken with the convention that U.S Presidents do not comment on the USD - the President-elect said the U.S. dollar was already "too strong" in part because China holds down its currency, the yuan. Knowing the new President-elect, the market can expect more 'off the cuff' remarks to move currency prices going forth."

Although I disagree with most of your “red statements”… let’s discuss the one related to gold: “The sins of the last 4 administrations are gonna be allowed to crash after Trump takes office.” So, what do you think, will Trump do IF he is “allowed” to audit the Fed and realizes that Fort Knox is empty? Will he make this “news” public, crash US dollar and in his usual manner files Chapter 11 for his new “business entity” – United States? Personally I believe he will be impeached well before he even starts thinking about this.
Gold never existed?
... it seems evident that much if not all of the German gold allegedly stored in the New York Federal Reserve Bank resulted from Germany exchanging U.S. dollars for gold. The use of the “gold claims” terminology, however, would seem to indicate that there may never have been stored at the Fed the actual physical gold to fulfill the liability! In other words, instead of physical gold in the New York Fed vaults, all the Bundesbank possessed might have been just a bookkeeping entry!
If this is accurate, that would definitely explain why the Fed would negotiate a seven year period to “return” the physical gold. It would take years to try to sneak in this quantity of gold from other sources in order to ship it back to the Bundesbank in Frankfurt.

FWIW, JNUG Max Pain for 1/13/2017 is sitting at $6.0 right now. It's not 100% precise indicator, but one can expect JNUG price closer to 6 by this Friday.
Interesting end of year surveys results in Russia. Most people mention Trump's victory in USA as "our main achievement in 2016": "We elected American president, we will do the same in France and most likely in Germany next year".
Another good news for gold bugs:

Will the Fed be finally audited under Trump?
I know, I was there and barely survived.
OK, your last post on AMLH board:

I am too old and busy to go check your other trades, but that is usually a result of trading penny stocks... which you are trying to bring here. But good luck anyway, we all are long, and you are preaching to the choir.
Thanks cork. I have become "an expert" in fake silver detection just recently, when I bought big chunk of American Silver Eagles on eBay at unbelievably low price. It was just luck - the seller was credible and high rated, and there were no serious buyers for such a big lot during holiday season. Never sell your stuff during National Holidays when all buyers are busy with other important stuff (like drinking ). Still felt some discomfort and, having 14-days return option, I got familiar with different methods to test silver. I think I posted my research here at that time... As a final test, I sold a dozen of coins to APMEX to see if there would be any problems. Bottom line: they all were nice and real. I always check weight and dimensions of coins/bars bought on eBay, but now my favorite silver test is Magnetic Slide Test which is easy to perform, and it works even for sealed items. So, I think I am pretty safe with my silver purchases. Can't say this about gold... Buying it mostly from APMEX or Provident with hope that nobody is going to spend time putting tungsten into small fractional items I usually buy.

European Commission Proposes To Confiscate Cash and Precious Metals From People Entering The EU
http://www.newsbtc.com/2016/12/21/european-commission-proposes-confiscate-cash-precious-metals-people-entering-eu/
Thanks. I usually can't watch this (or any other stock) during trading days. So, my "strategy" is to cover about half of my position by selling OTM calls. Basically, I am flipping those calls, which reduces my average cost, and waiting when the rest of my position doubles, tripples, etc. For example, this Friday bunch of $6 - $8 calls that I sold earlier go worthless, and I will sell another set for January-March. My last buy was at 3.88 yesterday, and current average basis is around 6. With this approach the price fluctuation doesn't bother me too much. My average is slowly going down to zero , and I can sleep well.
Anything under $3.50 stands a chance for a 5-10 bagged potential.
This means that anything under $7 stands the same chance for 2.5-5 bagger potential, right? My calculator never lies.
What Is Left To Go Before The Great Reset?

Interesting. Question: does JNUG follow GDXJ moves in "real time" during the day, or based on daily closing prices? Thanks.
Russia, India and Thailand Rank as the World’s Most Unequal Nations
According to Credit Suisse’s Global Wealth Report 2016, the top 1% of the Russian population controls a whopping 74.5% of the country’s wealth. Meanwhile, India and Thailand come in close 2nd and 3rd, with each country’s 1 percenters owning 58.4% and 58% of their nation’s resources, respectively.
Inequality is also significantly high in Indonesia and Brazil with about 50% of the wealth controlled by their top 1%. While the worldwide trend in the past decade has shown growing equality in most countries, the world has grown more and more unequal since the 2008 financial crisis.
The report said that wealth inequality has been a major issue overall, “in almost every part of the world”.
“Our estimates suggest that the lower half of the global population collectively owns less than 1% of global wealth, while the richest 10 per cent of adults own 89 per cent of all wealth, with the top 1% accounting for half of all global assets,” the report further stated.
...
Credit Suisse also identified Switzerland as the richest country per capita, while both the U.S. and Japan are seen as the biggest earners in the world in terms of improving household wealth.

To bring itself into 21st century a country just needs to confiscate people's property with totalitarian style raids:

Following your logic North Korea is in the 22nd century already.
The Currency Crisis In India
One might wonder why the government needs all the cash when Prime Minister Modi promised minimum-government maximum-governance. The NDA government is no less socialist than the preceding UPA government. It needs the cash to fund centrally planned schemes such as MUDRA where the same government run banks, that are on the brink of collapse, are lending to sectors determined as high priority by bureaucrats sitting in Delhi. The 7th pay commission by the Ministry of Finance further increased the salaries of millions of government officials earlier this year...
Banks run by the government control more than 75% of the market in India. These banks don't have money to fund these populist schemes of the government and this is the reason they are confiscating cash from people, and in the process draining private investment, and further weakening the fundamentals of the economy.

Islamic finance set to change gold market
If Islamic finance institutions were to allocate just one per cent of assets into new gold products, then its demand may climb by about 500-1000 tonnes...
The Accounting and Auditing Organisation for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) has made an important decision which will be announced on Monday. This decision is about one of the most important markets in the world: the gold market, an investable market worth an estimated $2.4 trillion and is also of significance for the world of Islamic finance.
The AAOIFI, in collaboration with the World Gold Council (WGC) and Amanie Advisors, has approved what will become known as the Shariah Gold Standard. This is a set of guidelines that will expand the variety and use of gold-based products in Islamic Finance...

"China taking back their Property"
This is very controversial statement. May be China is Taiwan's property? Can Mexico claim it's property in US, or Germany claim big chunks of Poland, Czech Republic, or Russia - it's former "property"? No doubt Taiwan and China will be together in future. Will it be bigger Communist China or "bigger Taiwan"? That's the question. And the answer will affect Japan, South-East Asia, and... United States.
"the new group taking over" is Victor Feldbush and Bertil Ake Gunnar Olsson. Those are the guys behind the Element Global Mining Group, and it's only "asset". Olsson is 72, and Feldbush is 66. Everything could happen. It definitely looks like ELGL has some problems and can't put out even fake merger announcement as they usually do. Either something is up with those two gentlemen, or someone have already reported their activity to SEC, or... you can just guess.

Congratulations, you are getting familiar with this stock. How about "$2.05 coming quick!!!" ?
You have removed 8/24/2016 10 for 1 forward split from your first post? Effect of quick googling, I guess. This fund tries to keep daily volume high, so adjusts share price to keep traders interested. Last forward split happened at 30s this Summer. The next one can happen next January. Anyway, it's not a pinky, where one can always expect that market capitalization will go down to zero eventually. This fund is a technical tool for daytraders as it clearly described in ETF prospects. Just read posts on this board: the same people buy and sell daily. Any long term bet should include hedges or speculative option bets. (IMO) I personally can not watch it 24/7, so I hold small position protected by covered calls. If calls expire worthless I sell new set. Still risky, but, at least, I can sleep well.
You really need to read this ETF prospects before you post anything.
Don't Move To Canada Just Yet
Don't worry. When it "flips upward" everybody will claim that he bought the bottom today.
"The Election That Had No Winner "
That's not what they think in Russia. Russian parliament met the results of US election with applauds and had special party celebrating Trump's victory. According to Russian press the Election does have a winner, and his name is Putin. Some points mentioned: "Trump is our friend", "He will drop sanctions", "He will build Trump Towers in Moscow and St Petersburg", "He will destroy America", "The World is going from globalization to regional powers, and Russia will legally own Ukraine, Crimea, and neighboring countries - former Soviet area of influence"... I personally think they underestimate the strength of US political system and will be very disappointed as a result. We will see...
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2016/11/09/yes-we-did-russias-establishment-basks-in-trumps-victory/
It’s obvious they have a problem. First they need to invent a list of more or less trustworthy people as “new management”. But real specialists would not want to be associated with this scam, and “performance” history of future "management" can be easily tracked. Second, they need to invent the list of... OK, not “multi-billion” but just “substantial” assets. The problem is: claiming that these assets are located far away in Siberia doesn’t work anymore. You know, there are phones and internet even in Siberia. Anyone can read legal EGRUL documentation of real ownership. And, again, there is documented history of the same “assets”. Most of them have been played already by other dirty pinkies.
Waiting for the merger news with great interest… Go ELGL.
"I think it was prolly the FBI investigation and people thinking that Hillary is going to get cooked by COMEY. That would be leaving the Donald as the only option for Prez. "
I agree with this. Trump presidency considered to be good for gold. Although... I still believe it will be Hillary, and FBI will confirm again how innocent she is.
