So what are looking at here...40 million from warrants to come in at 3.20 and 4.00? For all intents and purposes...looks like we're fully financed, or will be very shortly?
The market seems to see it that way...
It's what pricing on the way up looks like. We have not experienced that in years.
It certainly does. Looks like your optimism with the pricing was warranted.
It does not look like a botched financing this time, but one that can take us higher in a relatively short period.
Sounds optimistic, but as you say, we'll see tomorrow.
Anything above 2.50 would be cool with me, as it would be higher than the previous raise, which we have not seen in years (raises at a higher PPS than the last raise).
The house of pain, for a bit more, but certainly some exciting months ahead...the finish line is in sight....
Looks like we might be flying again this week...volume up..good price action...and posi may redeem himself yet again with his predictions...
No, don't think you're over-analyzing there...
However, instead of "...commercial partners", it should probably read "...potential acquirers, so that we ask for a boatload more money".
That PP is starting to look better and better....!
I think PPS will see a strong lift when we get some updates on how the new version performs at the centers, even before design freeze.
I'm okay with "jury still out", since we're not there yet, but this is something different than saying they are like previous management (i.e. category error in reasoning), or pointing spurious data like how many shares management held versus the current one as evidence for imagined faults of current management (selective-use-of-facts in reasoning).
It makes me laugh at myself, to be honest, the naivity of myself and many other investors at the time...
But you cannot compare it to the present situation. There was not even a product back then. We had a product eventually, and it was still subpar.
McNally turned all this around towards not only preventing the end of SPORT, but turning it around towards something realistic and potentially very profitable.
No comparison with previous management is justified, and quite frankly, very unfair to what has been accomplished in 2 years.
Certainly a difference from the past with no mention of Titan, or worse, articles that report that SPORT is a robotic platform for sport injuries.
Now Titan is leading, and Trixie the small player...
Doing my best..

Nice. Would buy here as well if I had the funds...
Churning through warrants, that's all. The water spouts open up each time we hit 4,50 with a lot people exercising, as well as traders playing of the charts. Eventually, we get over it...
Spinned positively...it means you are very much "in tune" - radiation and radio waves and such...
There's the promise of March again...and yet it never seems to fulfill itself...*sigh*
Last we hit this resistance (very recently), we sold of to 2.85 temporarily. Won't happen this time, but it looks tough to get over...maybe it will hang a bit, and then break the resistance...
15% owned by funds now...very good for PPS stability and growth....good chance that % doubles the coming quarter...
Don't forget pre-orders...might be enough already to squeeze out more...
He said "Wake me up in March."
Clearly, someone woke him up from his minute nap, because we all know Honeycomb does not lie.
Despite this, the person who woke him up deserves to be keelhauled!
Yes, it seems to, but can't go on forever...
But more importantly, it appears McNally is willing to let it run as a long as he can, so there's a good chance we get there. Never heard him say this before :
"Additional funds will be required to see the SPORT system to commercialization, and we are currently evaluating financing alternatives while the exercise of warrants from our most recent financing continues to extend our cash runway,” Mr. McNally concluded."
Maybe a raise at one point, but this is the first time they have let it run a bit, and we're very close to getting a lot more from warrants.
Once the 3:20 warrants are exercised, and design freeze is done, there's nothing really in the way anymore.
Financing will be non-issue in any way you look at it, and likely, everything else will flow from warrants at that point.
So yet, again, it all still hinges on the 3:20 warrants.
Not that many exercised, in absolute terms, but I remember a poster (with claimed experience) not so long ago saying that none would be exercised at these levels. A lot will start coming in at 4 and up....so close....and yet so far...(or maybe just a day from now)
100% agree that is completely rational to dream big with this stock, as well as having nightmares about it.
This is high risk/high reward without any middle ground.
It's one of the reasons this board is so bipolar, but in this case, not a sign of craziness or dysfunction, just simply the nature of the beast.
In short, we're all sane...strangely...
Okay, you win. We should push for music apps on SPORT...and where's the cupholder we have demanded for a long time...
Yes, it is! 20-30 years from now. Until then, SPORT is needed...
The latest I heard is that the Verb robot comes in the size of an Iphone packaging box...very pretty :)
The more I read about Verb..the more gimmicky it sounds...
Operating in VR? We're going to have a lot of vomiting surgeons during surgery...
Especially not now, with the FDA and medical devices regulations going through an overhaul, so nothing is very clear, not even within the FDA itself.
The goods news, however, that the overall intent of the FDA is to make easier for devices like SPORT to get accepted (unless its crap like surgibot).
From when I did my DD at the time reading FDA statements, that might even include submitting additional trial data AFTER the submission, which will be considered during the review process as it is coming in.
Only Curtis knows the exact details at this point, but overall, I'm pretty optimistic that at least on Titan's end they leave nothing to chance.
This has all been covered already and explained...
Arnold Advincula is behind all this, who is a big believer in clinical education to promote adoption, which is where the 5 centers come in. He knows how to get his colleagues to adopt a new product.
He did it very successfully for ISRG, so I would not complain too much about the strategy.
"Dr. Advincula said, “I am thrilled to see the tremendous progress Titan has made over the past 18 months under the new management team. I have always been a firm believer in the promise of single-port robotic surgery, and now with the right team in place I am excited to get more involved. Clinical education is the foundation for successful adoption of any robotic technology, and in today’s healthcare environment it is critical to clearly demonstrate economic value to hospital administrators. In my expanded role at Titan, I look forward to shaping these two fundamental pillars to demonstrate the value the SPORT Surgical System can bring to hospital administrators, to surgeons and, ultimately, to patients.”
Multiple centers not just for the trial, but it's also advertising to hospitals and training...
In other words...building the groundwork for sales and SPORT's success...
It's a smart strategy leading to quicker adoption..
Actually, multi-center trials usually slows things down a lot, because of logistics and all sorts of per-requirements.
Like for example, an institute's ethics board couldn't care less about SPORT's timeline, and if they want months for deliberation, they'll take it. With 5 centers, make that 5 ethics boards, as well as likely 5 scientific committees, good luck with that.
But multi-center trials have the benefit of more participants in a speedy fashion, as long as the logistics and organization is excellent ahead of time.
As stated in the interview, the preparations are already in the works, and that is most the work. As long as that is taken care of, the surgeries themselves can be done in a couple of weeks.
Anything that closes the budget for Q2 will do for me. That gives us another 3 months, and together with the design freeze catalyst, the rest of year financing will be taken care off without needing another raise.
Ballpark figure for what they need to finish up that quarter is around 5-10 mil I think...
Given the fact that McNally has no qualms about raises, normally doing them well in advance, not leaving anything to chance, is the best evidence yet that no raise is coming.
Yes, all previous documents (as well the interview) says design freeze mid this year, and likely sooner. We're very much on track, and it's going high speed. Nice to see the FDA end of year confirmed, even with some pretty elaborate human trials.
So they have been squishing more things in to ensure FDA approval, yet still on track...
Design freeze will definitely be a catalyst, but I think PPS will fly again pretty soon. A conference call would be nice, as well some good news regarding financing...etc...
PPS had a long enough break...holding steady...time to go to the next level...
Warmer weather I hope...but it originally referred to $5-6 PPS
Hope it's more than just a bounce...rather...a continuation of the overall uptrend...
Rest of the week will tell..onwards to 5/6...
Made friends with Randall again? :)
For those who don't know...Posi used to be a frequent caller...
There is that much short interest as far as I know.
Someone posted something from jan 15, but it has already halved since then....and the whole short squeeze already happened in the movement since jan 15 till the recent high...
train has left the station....
We went down on little volume yesterday, so the selling pressure was already weakening. Give the buying pressure some time to build up...
Yup, sky is not falling, and I think we're setting up for another run..!
They likely will do PR if it is substantial enough...they have done so in the past, but it took a while...
http://www.marketwired.com/press-release/titan-medical-receives-cdn-84-million-from-warrant-exercise-tsx-tmd-2238467.htm
I think at the time Randall was forthcoming with this information in general terms ahead of the PR...so maybe we'll hear something soon...
