I've never subscribed to Netflix, so I can't say too much about them. But they struck a cord with millions of people. My sister is extremely extremely cheap, and even she got a Netflix subscription, and she dumped them when they started going up on their monthly fees. hahaha
I never researched when Netflix went onto NASDAQ. I remember the whole DVD's mailed directly to you thing. But I don't know if they went public when they established themselves as a streaming service. But by the time they went onto the NASDAQ, they had been in this buisness for some time and their plan of execution was probably more than defined. Viva has only been operational since June if I'm not mistaken. They should be fine, and as you said we're a penny stock for now. GL
I think the end game for the execs at Netflix and HULU was to eventually get into producing their own content the entire time. But the amount of debt they have to take on to do that is tremendous. I feel at least that JF is looking to follow along the lines of ROKU and ad revenue. But of course we all know middleware will be the catalyst for Viva when it comes to as revenue. So, hopefully different streams of revenue will pad Viva's coffers, and subscriptions won't be the be all end all to Viva's existence.
That's so true.
evengelico, I've heard that a lot from Netflix subscribers, makes me wonder how did they get that big. But it also makes me say we should do just fine then. lol. But it has everything to do with the fact that Netflix aren't buying the movies, or series, it cost too much. They are only leasing them. And if the studios won't give them to Netflix, they can't show them. It pretty complicated. That should also give some insight as to just how difficult this had to be for Viva as some here railed on JF for not getting the movies out in a month or two. If the big outfits can't bring content out to the public till the content is old, it can't be easy for Viva.
House of Cards is a Netflix original series. Along with another one of their hit original series, Orange Is The New Black. Netflix decided they could become even more profitable, and control their own destiny if they created there own content. HULU has also gone in that direction as well. The Handmaid's Tail was huge for HULU. But I think the tv series will be coming soon to Viva's VOD lineup. I remember the teaser on twitter back in October showing us tv shows that should be available soon.
Just posted on twitter:

Fired up to see it. Gonna keep waiting for more movies to be loaded on Flixfling, they have all the movies I want, and $7.99 is perfect. I'll browse the others as well. I'm sure they are still loading on all of them.
Only two selections at the moment, so hopefully this means they're coming.
Morning A.C. Just hit On Demand, Flexfling is on the 4th row, 3rd choice.
Very well put. And correct me on my delivery, but I was also thinking they will also have to implement another port in order to accept payment for those movies. In particular as there may be those who may not want to pay the $6.99 a month for all movies. Some may want to pay as they go. They may want to pay $1.99 per movie, if they don't watch very many movies. I could be wrong though.
Agree BenH. This is the first time I've seen Flexfling in the On Demand category, and I usually look at the On Demand category at least once a day. It's coming.
Exacatamundo!!
Thanks for the sticky DB!
That is exactly who the Oi2go arm of VIVA cater to.
I was going to say the same thing about getting stuck in traffic, and looking at the billboards in LA. Coming out of the Lancaster, Palmdale area, we had to pick up employees from LAX, and we would do rock, paper, scissors to see who would have to pick a co worker up from the airport. We hated it because the traffic was so bad in LA.
The good thing is, the advertising campaign is just starting. I can't imagine billboards in some of the most densely populated Latino areas of the country not being on the agenda. But as you said, great bang for the buck.
That's how you do it!!!! Thanks for the effort DB. :)
It's looping every 21 minutes.
Nice. Just saw it again, it's really clear.on that site, thanks.
Ok. My bad whitie. I only said it's up to us to do our own digging for facts, without relying on others to tell us if it's good or bad. Just study up on net neutrality, and come to our own conclusions.
Being that they are still moving a lot of things around I'm fine giving them a pass for now. But I've noticed that Ch 11, which is CW NY, and Ch 55, which is PIX 11, broadcast the exact same thing. They could utilize that a little better. That would be perfect for the YES channel. The only thing is Ch 55 is not broadcast in HD. That might not fly with New Yorkers, lol
Here's JF's answer to net neutrality. But it's really up to us to dig into this a lot more to come to our own conclusions.

Powerball lottery tickets!!! Spot on UR13!! Luv it
Glad to help. Stay strong!
Get ready to deliver proof, there will be those asking being that you gave an exact number.
Thank You
There are those of us who are patient, those of us who are undecided, those of us who now clearly don't and have never cared, and those who have moved on. But one thing I will say is, either you are in, or you are out. If you're in, hold this one even if it's painful at times. They are continuing to progress this product along. I would rather them bring this out to the masses with what I've watched the past couple days. And that is a product that is now streaming with now bufdering. That is an awesome platform to continue to add to. I know it may not be much to you, but on the menu with account, guide, channels, on the set top box, you can now test the speed of the internet too. I always wondered why that wasn't there on the STB, now it is. So there are improvements being made every week. I've also said it before, if this platform was the same deal since back in July, I would have been gone a long time ago. The improvements that have continued to roll out should be proof they are setting themselves up to be not just some OTT provider. Those companies are no longer around. It's what we are seeing unfold in front of us now, (Yes some things have been slow) that will seperate us from other start ups who rushed an unfinished product onto the market. Trust me, it could actually be more costly (literally and figuratively) to go into a convoluted clean up campain, and who knows if they could even recover as a start up. Im holding just in case you may not have guessed, hahaha Just make the best decision that you see fit, and try your best to never second guess your decision a year from now. Good Luck
Amazing, you've said this at least 3 times. Thanks for your resilience and fighting for us.
Easy enough to understand. Save Money!!
Totally Agree.
Really seams that way. Spoke to two people I know today, and I asked if their firestick was still freezing or buffering, and they said yes. One lady said it's so frustrating, she will just turn her firestick off.
Been watching since 4pm, it's 8:50 now. Not a blip. Just like Tuesday.
Same here PITBULLRC and whitie. No buffering at all on Set Top Box, or ROKU. I even unplugged the Ethernet cable, and decided to try and stream only with WI-FI, and still no buffering. Fantastic
Yep, back to my default phrase." This will sell itself!!!"
Very nice post. 100,000 paid subcribers may not happen over night cubbies2016, but they will get there. But it's just hard for me to see this not being successful. After getting my router issue worked out, we are now streaming beautifully with the set top box, and ROKU. Most of us don't watch but a handful of channels anyway, I know I didn't with direct tv. So all these channels for $35 a month. Gonna be tough to beat.
If that's the case, then pendulum is swinging both ways. The bashing that is regurgitated from others on this board on a daily basis is ad nauseam. Help us out and send the letter to the SEC about them as well. Thanks
Just saw the ad as it scrolled live also. Always good to see for yourself. And not bad being one day early!!!!
I'm thinking if not the CEO of Oi2, there will be a spokesperson hitting the trail on CNBC, FOX Buissnes, etc..talking about the IPO for Oi2go. Or at least send a PR directly to those talk shows before launching. Usually common practice for most companies launching their IPO. Should be some announcement soon. JMO
I still think 100,000 in N.Y should be an easy task whitie. Other than the MSG channel, they won't miss much.
