I suppose, based on volume ... this could be Ackman dumping.
I might have seen a $2.07 ask somewhere in the wee hours of this morning.
I have higher hope for the En Banc hearing than I had for prior hearings, based on the height at which the bar is set to even QUALIFY to be heard. To be heard, it seems like you sort of have to START with half the judges feeling that you've a reasonably good argument.
We'll have to agree to disagree on this entire post.
My belief is that the market has baked the effect of the warrants in to the current price, and if they were cancelled, it would trigger an almost 5x PPS appreciation.
Well said !!
Thank you for the date correction (I'm assuming you are correct without checking). It's late (for me) and I am bleary-eyed.
PPS has 3 possible daily outcomes ...
No movement
Going down
Going up
Any day that we get the best of the 3 outcomes, it's okay to celebrate. I don't think I saw anyone putting in orders for sports cars.
I suppose it could be that no one wants to SELL the preferreds
I figure we have two chances to win with tRump. If he is the honorable, law & order guy that some say he is, he will recognize that we are victims and want to treat us fairly. If he is the lowlife sewer rat that others say he is, then he has been adding shares of GSEs under his kids names for months and is going to drive these F@#$$ers as high as he can, as quick as he can.
Patswil ... I think you are overly optimistic and I'll throw out my back doing a back flip if we get Ackman's $23 ... in fact, if we get the low end of Moelis (say $7.00) ... I won't be mad. But I'd really LOVE you to be able to look at me and gloat, "Oh yee of little faith!!"
As Calabria was one of the architects of HERA, I would imagine that he knows the nuts and bolts of how to do whatever it is that Treasury wants to do, perhaps better than anyone else. That, I believe is the reason for his selection. I think it's absurd to think that an administration hires it's people based upon what the hirees want to do. They hire based upon who can most effectively and reliably implement the administrations policies. At least ... that's the theory.
I like your poker analogy!
Less than any specific number, I'd like to see a good, steady, volume-backed move north. $1.50 ... $1.70 ... whatever.
I share your caution ... not because what people in the government may or may not want to see. I am cautious because I know the Universe is always waiting for me around the next corner with a club.
