Agreed... odd behavior from the stock, wonder why this must be
Agreed DJ, totally agreed... i was actually surprised when the pre market surge was so high...
Agreed. Seeing (hoping) $23 by june
Is ANYBODY out there...?!?
So then what does table 2 signify with a red D next to 20000 shares
No, she "acquired" 20000 shares (stock option) within the $4 range, but disposed of all shares on 4/10/2017 despite an expiration date that wasnt until 2019... That is what I see...
Always great seeing a director sell 20000 shares while we approach a 52 week low.....
Yeah - this is also my biggest holding, been on for a couple years now, and while i am game for the longterm it is simply no excuse for how the management team has 'behaved' in the short term... it's concerning..
"Hopefully" the ship is righted in the not so distant (or ever?!) future...
I had stopped following this investment due to the depression i felt checking the perpetually falling SP. This morning for whatever reason decided to give her a look. Happy to see we have some life in us after all (maybe!)!
BOLTA
Idk im just frustrated, having been here for years, ive never had a stock perform lile this; noone buying, crazy short interest.. feels like we're the laughing stock of wall street (pun) and i'm beginning to question there's any turning point in sight. Management gives us nothing..
To reiterate something I brought up after it was first announced:
I was, and am still, extremely bothered by the half assed willy-nilly "we're going to enter the animal health market!" exclamation made months ago when all OPKO coverage/focus was on poor reception/coverage outlook of the 4KScore...
And sure enough, to date, as expected, we have heard NOTHING about any developments regarding "the animal health market" since (Unless I am missing something?!).
Management over the last 2 years has been outright astounding. Where are we going????? Why do I tell myself this is going to change and our products are suddenly going to make an impact? Who's in charge here?? Frost?!?!
GLTA
I think the sold volume is about right - i agree we shouldn't see a much deeper drop in SP - I am a little surprised we havent seen a more generous bump in consensus SP Target (currently $24 avg.) following the magnitude of the successful trials for I.V. CR845. Supposedly the euccess was already priced in. However, this should (hopefully) leave more upside to Q2 results/announcements
Cara Therapeutics, Inc. is offering $80,000,000 of our common stock in this offering.
Our common stock is listed for trading on The NASDAQ Global Market under the symbol “CARA.” The closing price per share of our common stock on March 28, 2017 was $19.09.
We are an emerging growth company as that term is used in the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act of 2012 and, as such, have elected to comply with certain reduced public company reporting requirements for this prospectus supplement and future filings.
....RESULTS ARE IN!!! And wow look at us now...!!
My brokerage account and I would like to know where the results are for the CR845 clinical trial!!!!
Big buys from the inside after the SP drop - great to see that
agreed - im curious what the action will be tomorrow.. i expect a swift rebound. but who knows?
...Looks like noone's gotten back to you. Ive begun buying shared of MESO this month ahead of earnings, will look to continue after the call tomorrow.. seems like this thing's been heavily beaten down the last couple years, but some potential in the pipeline for the future.
BOL to all
I project we'll be mid 7's before earnings are reported (hopefully I am wrong). Anyone feel differently?
At this point, however, we need to embrace the buying opportunities between $6-$8 that our recent [many] slip ups have provided us. While I feel taking an optimistic, leap of faith-mentality that Rayaldee sales will be more than encouraging is more than we deserve, I am buoyed by the lack of debt we face versus vast majority of industry - even if our management has been less than stellar in execution..
The resources remain in place for us to be successful LONG term. Key word.
Staying positive.
Good day to all
Also long.
All i can say is that you've voiced my own frustrations 100%
I was vocally distraught here over that abrupt "Pet" Announcement. This, to me, was total bullshit and the point where i really began to doubt the direction of the company, not because there isnt $ opportunity in Pets- there's opportunity almost anywhere- but because it felt/feels like some fly-by-night 'idea' that was meant to distract investor from the very bleak present situation(s) and, like everything else we've seen from this management team the last 3 years, be executed poorly if executed at all. Why am i hearing about "PETS" - or any new opportunity- at a time when every other present opportunity IS NOT being executed efficiently? The plan, rather than focus on current priorities (4K, Rayaldee, HGH) is to create new priorities...? No. How about executing what's been in the pipeline already for all too long.....?!
If it weren't for Frost's name one would have to fathom how this company's not bankrupt.
And yet, i refuse to sell. Combo of stubbornness and total blind hope, at this point.
BOL to all.
This is becoming exhausting
Agreed. Despite all of OPKO's repeated, amateur errors to execute.. i do appreciate frost's consistent buying commitment to our stock.
I could not agree more- folks in the market today are so goddamn fickle its comical. I literally conjured up every disposable dollar in my brokerage account to buy Bristol Myers after they had "disappointing results" in a drug trial for lung cancer. I bought on 10/20, 2 months later it's back up 17%...
I wish i had cash to spare for what happened to us last week here for this reason. Simply no faith/loyalty (or balls?) in investors. The spineless selling of today presents beautiful buying opportunities..
Good for anyone and all able to capitalize!!!
Long on OPKO.
Happy NY folks.
THIS hard a drop because of poor trial results of 1 [longshot] development....!
What a fickle place the market is today- OPK never worth under $10 with upcoming rayaldee 4K revs alone
Did the same thing; my third time adding shares of CARA, raised my cost basis on this one.. love this stock
There actually are not drugs available on the market (or off the market) that succeed at what CARA is developing. That's why this company's promiosing. And why we're here.
BOL
I expected CARA to regress some after the run we had, but not quite this much.. it feels honestly like a gift to be able to buy at these levels ($9 !!) with what i consider to be a notably bright future in 2017 for this whole sector..? What am i missing?!?
Loving CARA and everything they're doing.
BOL to all.
cheers,
We had a great run, guys. Maybe time to establish a new bottom? Go from there?
How do you all expect the general market turmoil via a likely trump win tonight should effect MJ stocks?
Thanks JT - very much appreciated. With recent news surrounding OPKO entering 'the animal companion market', I couldn't help but feel concerned there was insufficient focus/efforts from management to speak out on BRLI's impact (or apparent lack of impact) on overall 4Kscore success, but more specifically the Palmetto decision.
Rubin looks to have given us a relatively straightforward/non-bullshit response here. I'm currently feeling good about out upside potential for q1-q2 2017 after Novita's February review cycle. I think despite numerous opportunities surrounding OPKO's other developments, the 4KScore remains our most important one!! Must validate the BRLI investment and show serious progress soon - I think we will.
Does anyone here who participated in the quarterly earnings report have somethinf to share regarding the Palmetto decision? I imagine it was brought up during the Q&A?
Hey appreciate that response and definitely the positive attitude toward this news. And i agree this is a certainly a promising opportubity- no doubt. However, long term investors have seen ENOUGh opportunities; it is time for EXECUTION. 4K was a great "opportunity". OPKO has shown superb ability in finding opportunities, but total incompetence with execution and that is more than a little important in being successful long term...
For me the time for opportunitity is not now; now is time for executing on all the opportunities we've already invested ao much time/money/effort in (rayaldee/4K..). I just feel this is a whimsical attempt at "good press" ans i worry that our track record of poor execution suggest little promise it will amount to anything substantial
Animal companion health market....? WTF. What the hell is management drinking; can we sort out prioities here?? That I'm seeing this headline, and have heard NOTHING regarding recent setbacks with drugs/acquisitions (BRLI/4K) that we've been counting on for years now as a significant source of growth/profitability would be hilarious if i didnt have so much invested in thia company. Is Frost losing his mind? This is a total joke to outside investors.
Pets???
If anyone feels optimistic about this please, please share....
I believe that article (from the summer) refers to the initial draft of Palmetto's "no decision" back in May. I am unaware of what OPK had to say at the conference - Does someone know if management provided an explanation then? Was the "final" non-draft verdict from Palmetto anticipated all along, and there's some alternative solution in the works? Seems unlikely IMO..
Extremely disappointing from management to have heard virtually nothing (that i know of) in the form of a response from OPKO regarding these recent setbacks. Hard to feel any less confident going into earnings season
