Finally had a chance to explore some of the links you provided, DY.
The grow camera looks cool, but, not being a grower, I don't have a sense of what is needed/useful and what other options might exist. But on the surface appears to be a solid, useful product.
The link you provided to 420Scan is another story, sad to say. I found it clumsy to use and very basic or simplistic as a search engine. It purports to help you find dispensaries, delivery services and doctors. Tried this experiment:
- enter "doctors san francisco", results: nothing found
- enter "doctors", results: 34 listings
- enter "doctor", results: 84 listings
- filter location on that search for "San Francisco", result: one listing for Love Shack, which turns out to be a dispensary, not a doctor.
- enter "marijuana doctor san franscisco" in Google, result: a map a list of several clinics, along with links for Yelp listings and reviews and several other site links offering similar search capabilities, like Leafly, for example.
- enter a top listing from Google & Yelp search, "MMJ Doctors", in the 420Scan search, results: nothing found
Don't know if the secure messaging works or what its value might be, but the search engine seems rather pathetic, especially when Google is there. Maybe I just don't understand, but other than a possible source of amusement to see if I could figure out how to get a result while being stoned, I don't get the commercial potential of this, at all.
Which is kinda scary, having invested in this (something about leaping then looking)...but will still wait out the election/vote cycle.
