This is a good way to start the week. Investors are clearly hearing about ARTH. I am betting it gets much more interesting after the Rodman Conference.
whatworld I could not thank you enough for this post. Defending your opinion is one thing, but personally attacking others who disagree is another and it is unnecessary. These boards are meant to encourage productive discussion as we continue to speculate and research a company we believe in.
I'm not sure you remember when they reached their high. No news regarding trial results had yet been released. The rise occurred in anticipation of that news. So yes, no news had been released during that rise.
You do realize that a rise of over 100% within a month on no news requires consolidation and will come back down, right?
I'm not sure why you are assuming they will need funding (Toxic at that)...
They may have money coming in from warrants and there has been no talk of having to get additional funding. Yes, the CE mark was delayed.. that shouldn't be a big deal. Stuff like this happens. Their goal was earlier, but you can't set those goals in stone. There is no point in speculating on this issue. It would be a different story if it were delayed another year.
IR CALL
While you could have guessed that our questions wouldn't be answered. They did tell me that we should expect an announcement soon that Dr. Norchi plans to present at the Rodman Conference next month September 11-13th. At this point I'm sure many of our questions will be answered as Dr. Norchi is aware of the questions we are asking.
I would say this is a positive response. Keep the long term outlook and remember that the results from this trial were in fact very good.
Sorry there isn't anything more I have for you.
Good luck to all.
The way I see it is I (all of us) have 3 options:
1. Sell all shares right now and wonder what if for the rest of my life when this thing blows up in exchange for some short term blood pressure reduction
2.keep my shares and quit looking at the stock price each day.Potentially miss opportunities to buy/sell appropriately on big news
3. Buy Tums in bulk from Sam's Club, ride this out, and quit wondering whether or not this data was a success - it clearly was.
I am choosing option 3 even though I'll be talking with investor relations. It's important during times like this to remind yourself why you bought the stock in the first place and what your goal is with it. If your objective hasn't been met yet and the company maintains its positive outlook, then stay. If your objective has been met or the company no longer has the same outlook, then leave.
CALL WITH IR
I reached out to Kirin and he asked me the best number to reach me at. I will attempt to push for a conference call but in case I can't get one.... please send me questions you all have so that I can get some answers.
I reached out to both. Hopefully we hear back soon.
Thanks for the insight.
Not that I am trying to pay too much attention to short term trading, but my question is: do we see a rise to the .90's or above with this news or was news already priced in and we float until more positive PR is released?
It's like Christmas morning. In this case, the market is Santa Claus and he hasn't delivered our presents yet. Board will blow up soon.
I think it's safe to say most people in this board are long ARTH and more excited about news than worried. This is news that Norchi said would come out this summer. I don't see why anyone should worry over a lack of news when there is more than a month remaining in the summer.
That makes sense. Thanks. GLTU
Do you think we test 0.75 by end of day tomorrow? I am thinking last Friday could repeat.
I hope I stand corrected. I expect green finish on Friday as well.
Same thing tomorrow
Don't expect it to be this cheap much longer. IMO Good buying opportunity is every day until ARTH eventually gets bought out
5 weeks since = 5 weeks closer.
Doc, above $1 end of year with good news, CE approval, etc.
Buyout timing and pricing -- I wish we all knew that. Spend some time researching Norchi. He isn't new to this world, and if his time running a healthcare fund sheds any light, he probably won't settle for a lowball offer for a buyout before the worth of all 200+ applications of the AC5 is clear. I wouldn't expect a buyout for another year or two, at which point, the stock price could be around $5 and then double at that news. All IMO.
Low volume today... I am curious to see if there will be a pop at close like Friday. Unless news tomorrow, I am thinking steady decline and another green close this Friday. That pattern will repeat until news actually does hit.
oneflew I am all for it being news. If it were, I would think volume would be higher at this point - or atleast I would expect it over 800k for the day as it has been in the past. I guess we will see. GLTU
Could be a news leak, but I think aside from short interest covering positions, traders aren't wanting to enter the weekend w/ reduced positions from earlier in the week. If we don't receive news Monday or Tuesday, I bet it falls again only to recover on Friday until news actually does arrive.
I second your post Fanfoiz. The fact of the matter is, atleast seemingly so, most of the people on this board are long ARTH. Us longs expect good news on results. The PR that came out said results would come out this summer. Who are we to decide how long the subsequent analysis should take or when Norchi/PR should release this information. I hate to say it, but to those of you constantly speculating on release timing and whether or not it is a bad sign, you are going to end up selling because you will convince yourselves to start ignoring the fundamentals that caused you to invest in the first place. Volatility is expected in mirco cap biotech.
Remain calm. Trust the fundamentals. GLTA
Looks like large volume on the ask at market open. Any thoughts?
**Update. I wrote this seeing 500k on the ask. Just dropped.
