hard to argue that moto meters is an emerging market....may take five to 10 years around world to become commonplace but patents last 20 years!
Note: CHINA is very strict regarding transportation and regulations. We are well positioned with our Patent.
yes, MM designed for moto bikes too and of course elephants
Not many companies are willing to spend millions to duplicate a MM patent that can be easily challenged in court. Would you loan money to patent stealing company? Uber might if they were inclined but would result in class action legal battle.

For other uses, see Patent (disambiguation).
A patent (/'pæt?nt/ or /'pe?t?nt/) is a set of exclusive rights granted by a sovereign state to an inventor or assignee for a limited period of time in exchange for detailed public disclosure of an invention. An invention is a solution to a specific technological problem and is a product or a process.[1]:17 Patents are a form of intellectual property.
The procedure for granting patents, requirements placed on the patentee, and the extent of the exclusive rights vary widely between countries according to national laws and international agreements. Typically, however, a granted patent application must include one or more claims that define the invention. A patent may include many claims, each of which defines a specific property right. These claims must meet relevant patentability requirements, such as novelty, usefulness, and non-obviousness. The exclusive right granted to a patentee in most countries is the right to prevent others, or at least to try to prevent others, from commercially making, using, selling, importing, or distributing a patented invention without permission.[2][3]
Under the World Trade Organization's (WTO) TRIPS Agreement, patents should be available in WTO member states for any invention, in all fields of technology, provided they are new, involve an inventive step, and are capable of industrial application.[4] Nevertheless, there are variations on what is patentable subject matter from country to country, even among WTO member states. TRIPS also provides that the term of protection available should be a minimum of twenty years.[5]
"Motorcycle taxis, called "chuzu motuo-che" in Chinese, are abundant throughout major cities in China, which are home to more than 55% of its population"
NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - May 24, 2016) - World Moto, Inc. ( OTC : FARE ) ( BERLIN : WM7 ) ( BERLIN : A1J8SY ) ("World Moto" or the "Company"), a leader in advanced solutions for motorcycle taxis and on-demand transport, today announced that it has been awarded a patent on the Moto-Meterâ„¢ in the People's Republic of China.
China is the world's most populous country, with an estimated population of more than 1.4 billion people. World Moto's latest success in securing patent protection for the Moto-Meterâ„¢ awards the Company coverage over an extensive region with a total area larger than the United States. Motorcycle taxis, called "chuzu motuo-che" in Chinese, are abundant throughout major cities in China, which are home to more than 55% of its population. This immense market represents potential sales in the billions of USD for the Company in Moto-Meterâ„¢ sales alone over the patent's lifetime.
World Moto has filed for patent prosecution of its Moto-Meterâ„¢ technology in 61 countries throughout Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas. These countries were carefully selected to cover most of the world's mototaxi and autorickshaw fleets and population. With the addition of China, World Moto has now been granted patents in 38% of the targeted territory, with the remainder expected to complete their substantive examination periods in the coming months.
Note that the World Bank estimates that the numbers of motorcycle taxis will increase by more than 50% over the next five years. Also note that saturation of the Moto-Meterâ„¢ is projected to reach 100% within three years of introduction in any given market and that its life expectancy/repurchase cycle is estimated at three years. Market estimates do not include potential revenue from the Company's other products and services, such as Wheeliesâ„¢, Yesâ„¢, apps, mobile commerce, advertising, accessories, servicing, calibration and all associated offering
Why did China approve PATENT if they already had an App Enable Auto Meter??
25% drop from high this year
$1 Billion to control 40% of the world market for Moto Taxis seems fair to me
Patents cover App enabled Auto Taxis and Elephants- but you know this
Yes, the question is why it hasn't dropped lower and someone is accumulating
"empty shells" typically don't have 22 patents in 22 countries that can be sold to the highest bidder........with a patent in China!
Patents worth $1Billion and GROWING IMO
Yes, it's surprising SP hasn't dropped like a rock. The market seems to believe patents have value.
To control the moto taxi market in 22 countries makes sense to me. I would tell the company lawyers to hold off and make the best deal possible.
Watch Stark Tank, their first question is most always "Do you have patents?". A big company that acquires the patents could certainly defend them. You lose every argument
The MM is the only APP Enable meter in world with 22 patents around world!
No, we do not know if the MM is being sold in Sri Lanka or not. The dealer mentioned was in airport district who had an interest in the APP enabled capability of the MM. The issue is no one knows what's happening except WM no longer exist. Hopefully, someone like UBER is marketing the product.
It would be interesting for someone to analyze sells and buys for last several months to see if accumulation is happening?
WM has no patent protection in Sri Lanka but does in 22 other countries that represent 40% of the moto taxis in world. HUGE MARKET for MM, they just need mandates.
per Sri Lanka meter mandate- Sri Lanka Meter Vendor is delivering 470,000 meters at $70 each= $33,000,000....and this is just one tiny country...ha ha, don't tell me their is no market!
Yes, no doubt WM was five to seven years premature- the mandated MM market wasn't there. I have no interest in defending WM, but I think the 22 patents in 22 countries is worth big bucks to a deep pocket company Guess we will shall see someday...huh?
Hard to ignore the accumulation day after day...I wonder why?
maybe:
> WM plans to start over?
> partnership with a deep pocket company?
> mandate contract somewhere?
22 patents in 22 countries in an emerging market...someone must have interest?
Sujitta, yes it's really quite simple, someone(s) have been accumulating for a long time or the SP would be going down, down, down on no news.
yes, someone seems to be accumulating shares- encouraging
BS...loans already converted to shares...no cash required!
Wow, what happened to civil discourse here? Either someone has picked up the patents or not. Risk investments are actually that...a risk.
If someone wants to sell or buy, who cares.
pumpers and dumpers- it never stops I doubt anyone here knows anything!
Yes, no doubt WM is dead but we don't know if patents have been sold to a deep pocket company. The market indicates there may be a future for patents.
If I have a bottle of water, it has little value, in the Sahara desert it's priceless....patents only have value if someone wants to buy them to control a market...but of course you know this
Jeep, Col- it might be helpful if you could provide a link to the MM patents- I can't find anymore. Thank you.
The patents are very very detailed....read them and you would understand the product and the value of the MM....in 22 countries!
A few mandates in Asia and Africa could propel IP Valve well over $1Billion
Sri Lanka is the first country to mandate meters...who doesn't think the MM has a huge future??
MM has no patent in Sri Lanka!!!! ....but they do have patents in 22 other countries that represent 40% of the worldwide market.
Sri Lanka- the FIRST MANDATE!
no question taxi meters are being mandated around world- Sri Lanka is the first
Not too many 'dead' companies have 22 patents in twenty two countries for moto meters (auto, moto, boat, bike, donkey and elephants) .
Moto Meters is an EMERGING MARKET
maybe he sold to a large company that has the resources to sell and support millions of MM.
The market hasn't developed yet!
(it will take many millions to launch product around world)
Yes, last minute buy to 10M traded. Strange for a dead company.
we only know that accumulation appears to be happening - prob./maybe for a long time.
Huge market emerging for meters- Sri Lanka first to mandate meters- other countries to follow for sure. We have the ONLY METER in 22 counties! or about 40% of worldwide market. Exciting!
Now that Sri Lanks mandates meters...who doesn't believe the rest of the world won't??
Yes the MM Patents CONTROL 22 countries about 40% of ALL Moto's in world. Just like Sri Lanks, other countries will mandate Meters....a multi-billon $$ revenue stream to a company like UBER
