I have to say... I like how they are doing this. If they tried to run a bunch of trials right now they would have to raise more money at this low SP... of course, causing major dilution... they obviously want CE before going into more trials... with the higher SP that comes with CE they can more efficiently raise money... and of course they could partner or be bought before that.
It seems well thought out to make shareholders rewarded, and since the CEO is so heavily invested I have to go with that theory...
I am in other bio companies that constantly have to raise funds at horrible SP levels.
I just read over the most recent presentation. Everything pretty much the same, but page 18 caught my eye because it tries to clarify an area of confusion with what arch has exclusive patents for and what they don't... here is an edited copy of page 18.
(Arch Is Sole Licensee Worldwide)
Two patent families cover compositions and methods for hemostasis
and controlling movement of bodily substances
Expected expiry 2026 – 2028
NON-EXCLUSIVE
5 patent families providing freedom to operate
Expected expiry 2014 – 2030
Arch Therapeutics
...........
Assigned to Arch
Treatment of damaged tight junctions and enhancing extracellular matrix
Expected expiry 2029
Compositions for prevention of adhesions and other barrier applications
Expected expiry 2026
Composition of matter and methods of use for solid forms of SAP products
Expected expiry 2034
Now I am not even going to pretend understand what that really means, but it is obvious that what ac5 does is all ours.
I know ??...
I bet you a beer it goes up today.
I would expect cydy to move up today. They are in so much better position than they were even a month ago... it would be strange if they did not at least return to their recent market cap.
The results of pro 140 are amazing not management. Pro 140 is the car you buy in spite of the salesman because the car sold itself.
Amen to new management... I just don't think it will happen... to many people think they are doing a good job.
Your pumping is about as good as your bashing...
Can't anyone just admit that we have no idea what is going on with this Co. It could be .01 or 1.00 next week for all we know.
You got in at .65? If you did good for you... you called that price well in advance of what any of us thought possible.
Ha ha, i am not sure, it might have bottomed out last week... #missedtheboat
Seems investors are pricing in the bad news.... man if it is good news this time it should rubber-band shoot up.
Thanks for the link. Some enjoyable reading there... I also liked reading the next guy on the list Benjamin Graham.
A couple quotes.
"He coined the phrase "margin of safety" to explain his common-sense formula that seeks out undervalued companies whose stock prices are temporarily down, but whose fundamentals, for the long run, are sound."
"Graham also believed that market valuations (stock prices) are often wrong. He used his famous "Mr. Market" parable to highlight a simple truth: stock prices will fluctuate substantially in value. His philosophy was that this feature of the market offers smart investors "an opportunity to buy wisely when prices fall sharply and to sell wisely when they advance a great deal."
I Like that last quote because it is easy to get the impression that most great investors would just "go long"
Thanks for the tips on the other stocks to watch.
.76 is the lowest cydy has a reason to go, but if it goes to .65 I will buy a African Grey... Supposedly the smartest of all talking birds.
A scam?... I am not so sure about that. Seems like the few scams I have seen are surrounded with hype, promotional articles and constant propaganda about how awesome they are...but this company?... all we ever hear is that once in a while they buy a company, and every once in a while they make an appearance somewhere and give a boring speech about advertising changing.
They don't even tell the shareholders what is going on... so maybe you can tell me why this company is not already at .01 a share? What is keeping it up? Certainly not the hype.
Wiggly, squiggly lines going everywhere... not even going to pretend I understand a word you said. ;)
Cydy will hit .87 by next Friday... my reason is that even companies that receive bad news will bounce 10-15 percent off their lows, and this wasn't even bad news.
Don't worry, I know better than to sit on Cydy stock for too long... This thing will bounce a bit and I will sell then... This is not the time to go long. With Dr P running this show you never really now when trials are starting or ending, or actually, anything concrete. Market cap. A bit low right now... A good time to strike, and I am sure you are right, that there will be good times to strike in the future as well.
My bid for 30,000 shares at .77 filled. This feels like easy money.
In one of the earliest CCs this year, during the question and answer period, an investor was arguing with Dr. P over financing at "it was .70 or .75 a share" I don't remember exactly... the point is.. the investor was telling Dr p. How expensive that really was and Dr P literally shut that man down... telling him that a few million shares and a few million dollars here and there didn't matter.... I began to realize that Dr p doesn't care about the money side... he just wants to get his pro 140 to market and he doesn't care how inefficiently he does it.
Dr p. "Thinks"... fda will lower patient count for phase 3?... or the fda actually told him that?
I ask because Dr. P is wrong more times than he is right...
What?... 60 cents a share you say?... ok.. cancelled my order at .79 haha.
And I am still having trouble with TD ameritrade for those who were asking.
I have a bid in at .79.... cydy is looking interesting again.
I figured I would get that question. The answer is because "as we all see" it is trading in a range and I am just playing around trying to accumulate more shares. I am not that great at it, but when I pull off I feel very satisfied with myself.
It was very quick to .65... I had an order in to sell below .65 and none of those shares were sold... so... I think a day trader accidentally sent an order to buy at .65 instead of .60 or .61... a fat finger mistake.
When a sure thing fails its usually poor management that's the cause. That is something I like about Arth... management seems so careful and purposeful in their approach to each step. Of course I can't be positive, but it is the feeling get watching from the outside.
I will go further to say that I believe management will look to partner, rather than dilute our shares at such low prices, in order to fund further trials. Again I am speculating that if there is more dilution it will not be much if at all.
I agree with most of that post and I have also mentioned in the past that I would not buy in again until after next dilution..you can say it and say it again, but for some reason people resist that logic... as if you will miss some golden opportunity if you sell at 1.15.
Of the biotechnology companies that I follow... I have the least faith in cydys management... following this stock for 1.5 years and management has been far from impressive. Only around because of the product, and hoping that it gets into better hands.
As far as current SP... it will go down... and anyone thinking that the SP is low because cydy is hidden under a rock is wrong.... 1.5 years ago yes... now they have had quite a bit of exposure more than many otc companies.
This is the market price.
I will respond. I was annoyed by the "10 billion dollar buyout after phase 3 finishes" comment made today.... And to boot that was considered low? It makes me think people just want to pump.
Best to remind people that hiv is getting attacked from several sides and no one is going to pay that kind of money for treatment "pro 140" that can be "one upped " after only a few short years after it finally gets to market.
http://labiotech.eu/hiv-cure-bionor-vaccine-celgene/
Hiv space getting more crowded and confusing... Some other therapies look just as disruptive as cydy.
I dig it... But I don't see any ipo date.
Well said, Amatuer
As I have been trying to say for awhile: cydy will have its day, but there is still plenty of time to make money other places and then buy more cydy when things actually have end dates attached to them. Applying for orphan status.... Who cares... Getting orphan status is what matters..... Starting phase 3 trials..... Who cares... When will they finish is what matters. And so on....
Finally a normal, objective viewpoint.
Rather than this idea that people are purposely keeping cydy down for their own benefit.
That is so right. In fact what you wrote was almost exactly what they told me word for word at options house when I set up my account. So unfortunately, my account there and Ameritrade are both margin accounts even though I never buy on margin.... It sucks
Who had that link that explained how short sellers can manipulate the stock? Was it 5stop? Can't find it now....it looked very interesting, but I did not get a chance to read it all the way through.
The only thing you longs are going to be rewarded with is more dilution. Buy more shares when that is out of the way.
Dr. P is about as interested in an R/S as I am in the ballet... How can you guys pay so much attention to Dr P and cydy and think an R/s is going to happen soon?
Ah yes, now I remember.... Thank you
So the people who would finance cydy Would then hold down the price, or some evil big company in pharma land would do it... Not even to make a profit... Just to make things more difficult for little old cydy.
? No doubt.... Please explain a motive for that or your reasoning please.
Cool, I didn't know about that trick .
Well, I should have been clearer. While the SP is similar to now. The Market cap Was smaller back then due to fewer shares outstanding. This I feel will be the case going forward with cydy as it has been in the past... That is... Even if cydy market cap goes up some in the short term.... Dilution will leave the SP more or less the same.
I have time to make money other places then bring it back to cydy after their next dilution.... Unlike many of you... I am only talking short term here.... I am not talking a year from now when some of you have suggested that the company will be worth 10billion!! In a buy out...
I looked into that a while back, and I am racking my brain to remember where...but the short answer is yea... They tested quite a bit on humans before the trial and they are quite sure that results will be good.
I also will be buying more soon.... Pretty much all my eggs in this basket.
I liked that little trip down memory lane.
Only thing to add is biotech is a "show me" world now.... People don't care when results are a year away.
As for the middle class.... All my friends wrecked their personal finances themselves with credit! Big house Big truck...
Ok, if you go back and listen to his previous CCs, and I don't even mean that long ago, DR. P actually said that phase 3 would be done this year and that this November cydy would be applying for FDA approval.... That was the CC that had me buying every share I could.... He was not even close to right and you can find other smaller mistakes as well.... I have noticed that he "seems" more cautious now about what he says, but I am far from trusting him.
