I'm glad my shares were sitting here collecting dust all this time. I'm just not fast enough to trade this. Kudos to those who can move from LP to LP and grow their investment. If this is true and confirmed before Monday open I could totally see a gap up coming...
And if it isn't true then at least our support just got strengthened.
GLTA!
Wow, nice little eod run. Long & Strong! ;) http://www.barchart.com/opinions/stocks/CGC.VN
Lol many here complained about Remi's premature tweet but you're probably the only one I could see actually having the balls to call him out in person. All in good fun. Surprised you're going. You'll be surrounded by CGC Long & Strongs. :)
Right so Toronto is Snoop Dogg's only stop in Canada, which is interesting but here are the details:
Friday, July 29 Toronto, ON Molson Canadian Amphitheatre
Look where it is... none other than the place sponsored by Mettrum Originals with Mettrum advertising, hemp products and reps all over the damn place. Kudos to them. Ahahahaha if Snoop doesn't give us a shout out that will be just sad and pathetic for Tweed. Face palm.
Fair enough. We'll see how it all plays out. I meant Tweed is just getting started not the bands. No doubt Snoop Dogg will be in the cards after legalization. Better be. He's in Toronto next Friday for High Road tour. They better get him to give us a shout out!

Looks all good to me.
There is plenty of time for "real headliners" in the future. They're just getting started. Besides, doesn't this fit the whole hipster vibe Tweed's got going on? Headliners before they were real headliners... ;)
Looks like a fun time!
Maybe it's to accommodate Liam, who is a Bedrocan patient and his family. He's a pretty awesome, cool kid. It says specifically:
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Please feel free to bring a lawnchair for maximum comfort. Absolutely no alcohol is permitted on site. Those with a valid medical cannabis prescription and ID may use our on-site vaporizer lounge.
I'd imagine this would be a discreet area and it wouldn't be all out in the open in front of any kids there.
At least food and merch is available for purchase and not for free.
I think the first time they're doing something like this it has to be for free. Might not get much of a turnout otherwise.
So basically LPs are the Night's Watch, the cannabis activist community and dispensaries are the wildlings/Free Folk, the Wall is government regulations and Big Pharma (White Walkers and the Army of the Dead) is coming...
As a patient I'd love to see more cannabis activists working with LPs of their choosing. Hilary Black is doing exceptional and indispensable work with Bedrocan to further patient advocacy. Many LPs like Broken Coast and RedeCan are small-scale and family run with more to come... a far cry from corporate cannabis.

This looks like gratitude to me.
Spreading anger and hate towards LPs just feels bitter and isn't helpful to the patients who prefer to choose legal access to their medicine. For some who live in other parts of Canada without the rich history of dispensaries and compassion clubs as in BC this is their only option and LPs are providing a service that is saving their quality of life. It hurts that you choose to badmouth the only source of medicine for those on the fringe of access. I think your energy is better directed at the system (which is evolving) and not the LPs. The LPs are just the opposite side of the same coin as all the new illegal dispensaries proliferating recently. The only differences are they are jumping through all the legal hoops the system has created so patients can have the choice of a legal source of medicine and they are not currently profiteering unlike many of the dispensaries such as those owned by Don Briere. I'm not sure is he considered a cannabis activist? Because he seems like a corporate pot profiteer to me that the cannabis activist community cleared the way for.
LPs are advancing the good fight and creating access for even greater numbers of patients who would not otherwise have had access through their networking with medical professionals. I wish you could work together with a LP for the best interest of all the future patients to come.

It seems your post is only thinking about the $ and not patients. Dude I know you have done great things but entitlement is not cool.
I have not heard of any LPs attacking longtime activists. Quite the opposite...
Cheers!
It is indeed the one and only Dana Larsen not a fake account. Just check his Tweets & replies awesomesound.
So there wasn't any non-material news today? Sorry guys for sharing the tweet I didn't realize there was an issue with it. I just got excited because I'm also a patient.
I guess there will be some news sooner or later... there always is.
Uh oh what will all the momentum traders who moved their money into OGI temporarily do? Decisions, decisions...

I hope it's good. Can't wait! GLTA
Lol I think you misinterpreted my post. I was just clarifying the facts because when I read it I got Schedule II and Schedule III (what it is recommending) mixed up. Now THIS post is redundant! ;)
This is an opinion piece. They are recommending it be rescheduled from Schedule I to Schedule III (not II like that leaked article that no one knows for sure if true or not). The date of a possible rescheduling could still be right though... don't know for sure how or when it could be rescheduled.
After reading this article:
http://www.brookings.edu/blogs/fixgov/posts/2016/05/27-misconceptions-marijuana-rescheduling-hudak-wallack
I'm not sure how true this article is:
http://www.inc.com/will-yakowicz/nightmare-of-schedule-ii-cannabis.html
Any U.S. friends here have any insight? Which article do you agree with more?
Schedule II won't change the current state systems. I don't think it will make much difference to the day-to-day industry in states that have legalized recreational or are going to. It will help advance research by scientists and pharma companies and develop cannabis pharmaceuticals. I think a bunch of the recent articles claiming Big Pharma will take over and the existing industry will be pushed out are spreading misinformation. I'm not sure if that anonymous DEA lawyer source is correct. Read this:

Here's the original photo. It does look like an envelope. I have never received medicine from Tweed in a box with their logo on it. It IS sent discreetly and I have to sign for it or pick it up. When I bought merch it was left at the door and even that box didn't have their logo on it. This must be some other type of mail from them? Will be interesting to hear their response explaining what it is... I can't remember if I first received an envelope like this when I became a patient? Anyone else?
I think these people are reaching.
This comment:
dmanseeds@shes_potent Unfuckin real! ????#fucktweed #fuckbedrocan #fuckcanopygrowthgroup #fucktilray #fucktheLPs
He may as well be saying #fuckpatients
Bedrocan is doing great things for the patient community. Some of these comments are just depressing and so unhelpful.
Anyone else here who wouldn't be surprised if HC asks the judge for an extension to the Aug. 24th deadline? They have until the very last day to do so. I would be disappointed as a patient because I'm really looking forward to changes and I think the market would overreact negatively to this if it happens. I'm not sure if it's possible for them to get it done in time but I'll be happy if they do. I don't think it'll be perfect but a work in progress. Do you think the sp would be somewhat protected from an aggressive downward swing like we've seen in the past with any little perceived bump in the road because the uplisting to TSX would be RIGHT around the corner in Sept? Also, even if this happens there would likely be a draft available that would give us an idea of what is to come.
Here is where I read this:
right to the last day. Judge would be very open if he/she sees a Canada Gazette Part 1 pre-publication of draft regs.

You're correct. That sounds better. You can be my translator. :)
I'm somewhat new to cannabis used as medicine and a Tweed patient. I'm with mmpr I prefer mail order and hope it always remains an option. I think new patients will be split on this. We need both options! Maybe the in person experience is preferred for rec users but I would think for many med patients they just need good medicine as conveniently as possible - who cares about spending time on the rest. And if I do have to go to Shopper's occasionally I don't want to see people smelling and sticking their fingers in my medicine. It's alright if it's only samples but otherwise no way!
Followed Brent over here from the CGC board. Looks interesting. This is only a letter of intent between Novo and Peace Naturals... we all know how many deals have fallen through in this space not to mention deals involving Peace Naturals. Looks like everything is riding on what actually happens with them. Personally, I won't believe it until it happens. Saying it will happen means nothing with their track record. Too complicated for me to gamble here atm. GL!
Edit: and by steak in Nesta Holding I meant stake.
Good to know. Makes more sense now! Thanks.
Is Chuck gonna pull a Steve Jobs... is he building something that CGC will want/need in the future? Kinda like how Apple bought NeXT for the NeXTSTEP operating system and got Jobs back in the process. Hmmmm NeXT... Nesta. Just spreading some conspiracy theories on a slow day. ;)
Wouldn't it be cool if the prodigal son returned and reunited with CGC like a big, happy family under the Canopy? Maybe he could bring Aurora along with him (we seem to be losing our people to them). Perhaps CGC is interested in taking a steak in Nesta Holding? C'mon CGC make it happen. Bring Chuck back!

Way to go Bruce! Wahoo for some great news and it wasn't even on mj's long list of catalysts which means more to come. Hope this means the possibility of the Tweed brand in Australia in the future now that our foot is in the door.
It all makes sense now. Haha thank you!
Uhhhh no clue what they were thinking choosing that name... someone dropped the ball on that one. Lol or should I say dropped the boat.
Wow, looks like this is a growing issue for illegal dispensaries that isn't talked about much and is hidden from the media and customers (bad for business). Do you think the public would still support the dispensaries if they knew they are such easy targets for crime and won't/can't report it encouraging more crime? No thanks. I'll stick to more affordable, safer mail order (for now). Medical users have enough to worry about in their day.

I guess the overall UNGASS wasn't much of a success... so disappointing but it's not stopping Canada and a few other progressive countries from taking a stand and leading the way. It was still a success for CGC!

I hear you with opportunity to accumulate more but I'd rather this start building a nice solid base so when legalization does happen the spike and inevitable fall is a little less volatile. I think a healthy stock is better for profits in the long term. APH's stock is perfect from the beginning... each high is higher than the last and each low is higher than the last. The way they are running their business is currently attracting the institutional investors.
Agreed. Hope it can hold up until the task force announcement or any surprises from Canopy...
Monster bid disappeared. It keeps coming and going. Was at $2.43 then $2.45. Is that you? Nevermind, it's back.
I hope the storefronts happen. Personally, I'd rather go to a dispensary to fill my prescription than to Shopper's. I hope both happen to cater to various consumers. I guess we'll find out more about the time frame very soon!
