Nevada Attorney General finally got back to me. In a letter dated December 21, they said there’s nothing they can do but that I could hire a private attorney.
USPS return receipt dated Nov 4, 2017 received back from the Office of the Attorney General, 5420 Kietzke Lane, Suite 202, Reno, NV 89511. So now they have my complaint on Allied Nevada/Hycroft. Not sure if anyone else has contacted the Nevada AG since March 2015 but I suppose every little bit helps. Will keep you posted if and when I hear from them...
You do realize you had until October 2022 until your warrants expired. Five years isn't forever but enough time for something positive to break for ex-shareholders.
If they're going to slap the cuffs on Buffington it's going to be in Nevada. But here's what I dug up...

Here's the info for the District Attorney's Office in Reno...

Not easy to do with a Roth IRA. For those still in the fight, here's the form for putting in a complaint against Hycroft / ANV with the Nevada Attorney General.

I put mine in. How about you?
I will contact her again sometime this week. Although I'm guessing she'll just send me the response she got from the SEC. The Nevada Attorney General and the District Attorney in Reno (Washoe County) are another two I'll contact. I suggest that everyone send a letter, e-mail or make a phone call to them as well. Keep up the fight on your end whatever you're doing. Richcc71 seems to think you're not totally useless.
Yes, you are correct. Contacting the U.S. Trustee and SEC back in 2015 right after the bankruptcy / robbery puts me behind you and everyone else. I wasn't aware that we lived in Bizarro World where if you do something first you're actually last. Like the way Florida beat up on Georgia 7-42. Thanks for clarifying how things work.
Way ahead of you. I was bugging them two years ago. When I wrote to my congresswoman, she came back at me with what I'd sent to the SEC. Now whenever she contacts my house about her re-election, things she's doing, etc., I always bring up ANV. Maybe it's time to ramp things up and start contacting Trump.
To Richcc71: When I see my Brian Tuttle we'll have a talk about the situation. I'm not holding my tongue on anything--especially when it comes to this NolsRGold clown.
And what have you done? Nothing. Zilch. Bupkis.
Yes, you are correct. Contacting the SEC, contacting my congresswoman, seeking out lawyers to take the case (you need names and phone numbers?), etc., isn't doing "jack diddly."
Are there any punitive damages in the appeal? My problem with all this is even if we get 100% of our money back it's not enough. Every stock holder in ANV was probably going to use that money for something else like purchasing a home, sending their kids to college, retirement, etc. Not only was money lost but time / life plans. In February 2016, I put a small amount of money into HL (Hecla Mining). As of now I'm up 120%. Imagine if I'd been able to put the $73,000 I lost in ANV into HL? I'd have over $160,000 now. The only way to make up for this is to hit Hycroft with punitive damages and give it to ex-shareholders. I highly doubt that's going to happen.
You're asking the wrong person how warrants work. In Post #5898 Richcc71 said—"As another share holder stated, we believe the warrants strike price will be $4.41 - so we believe..." I'm going off that number. He seems pretty knowledgeable. I do know there's something called a cashless exercise a.k.a. cashless conversion. We've all got until October 2022 to figure that one out.
Took a quick look at my old numbers. $73,455 ÷ 100,000 shares = .73455. It seems that most of my money went in at an average of $2.83 (inside my IRA). But most of my shares came much cheaper. Near the end, I was able to pick up 50,000 shares for just $3,000 (outside my IRA). That last buy might end up being my saving grace.
My worry is shares in my Roth IRA. Outside of my IRA, my cost average is well under $1. But inside my IRA, Fidelity has my cost average at over $28 a share. I don't recall ever paying more than $3.75 a share—inside or outside of my Roth. So if the strike price is in the $4s, nice for my regular shares; not so nice for my IRA shares.
100K+ shares here at an average of .73 which means I got stuck with just over 10,000 warrants. So if the strike price is $4.41 that translates into roughly $44,000 back (from the $73,000 I had stolen). It stinks but I guess it's better than recovering $0.
So where are we in the court case? Brian Tuttle has supposedly brought in some good lawyers for the latest appeal to overturn the bankruptcy.

Testy testy now aren't we? No stress here. Building up my portfolio again with or without ANV / Hycroft and our "heroes."
A quiet board lately. So what's he got? Broken leg? Cancer? Suicidal and in an insane asylum after losing all his money in ANV?
Oh, and speaking of ANV, anybody got any news? My warrants are flubbing around at about .15 cents a share and October 2022 is slowly sneaking up on us.
There's an appeal in the 3rd Circuit Court. Supposedly anyway. Can we get some sort of timetable on that? Will it be another 3 months? 3 years? We're not getting any younger you know.
Unfortunately, World War III and/or a monetary reset. Maybe even martial law, a Presidential assassination and a breakup of the United States. I'm sure that's what Buffington, Tracey and the rest of the thieves are banking on happening long before October 2022.
I was thinking something a little more nefarious. What better way to hoodwink another judge by claiming that the warrant value has suddenly spiked up 6000% and there's no need to overturn the bankruptcy since the old shareholders will be in the black long before 2022.
It's a shorter wait than you think (2022). Thankfully things are moving now.
Blocked Hycroft Mining Corporation website or blocked e-mail? Haven't tried their e-mails (tracey.thom@hycroftmining.com and info@hycroftmining.com) but the website is still accessible. Tracey Thom's phone is 775.789.0119. Just called and got her voice mail. Not that that means they still aren't crooks.
Careful or one of these days a wheelchair might come crashing down on your head.
But is this the face to represent shareholders? Sure, his heart may be in the right place and he may have done a lot of work for us but he looks like a beach bum. He should get a shave, put on a white shirt & tie, maybe do the video from an office with an American flag in the background, etc. If I sent these videos to my Congresswoman or Senator or law firm, they'd probably be thinking—"Who is this slob?"
Why was this video broken into 10 parts? And how come we never see any video of Brian Tuttle?
Warrant expiry can't favor you if moved closer. The company has to leave it at 2022 or they can move it out to 2023, 2024, etc. (which I doubt they would ever do). Of course after what they pulled, I don't know. Maybe it's the one company in the history of warrants that will somehow be able to move them closer.
I talked with Fidelity by phone this afternoon. They said they never heard of a warrant expiry date being brought forward (since it wouldn't favor the holder). From what I've read on the subject, expiry dates can be extended.
First post and we're supposed to believe you? Just checked my Fidelity account. HYCROFT MNG CORP WTS EXP 10/12/2022
Lowey Dannenberg Cohen & Hart in White Plains, NY are handling the silver manipulation case. Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan out of Manhattan represents the gold plaintiffs. Give them a call. Maybe if enough ANV investors bomb them with calls, letters and e-mails they might get interested.
"Someone" should look into a class action lawsuit? This must be a joke. Oh yeah, and raising awareness at local colleges is really going to do anything. For the record, I've been in touch with the law firms involved in the gold and silver manipulation lawsuits vs. Deutsche Bank, HSBC and ScotiaBank. They don't want to touch this case.
10,084 here. My entire retirement savings.
What if you're all tapped out of cash? If ANV was everything you had saved up for retirement then it'll need to be a cashless exercise.
They can't send the sheriffs after everyone involved.
30,000 equity investors got screwed. If 30,000 people hound them (and there are ways to do it anonymously) what are they going to do?
Looks like mine (with Fidelity) converted over too.
So instead of 100,000+ shares ANV, I now have 10,000+ shares Hycroft. I thought we were getting 17%, not 10%.
Worse than bankruptcy or even a robbery.
At least with a normal stock bankruptcy, you can take tax losses. And with a robbery, you can file an insurance claim. With ANV people can't even do that.
What next investment? There is no next investment.
For some of us, that was it. Yeah, if you're 25 and/or you had $1,000 in ANV you can learn lessons and move on. But what if you're 75 and retired or a disabled veteran (no longer able to work) and ANV was everything you had?
