Casper implementation on ETH has huge implications to ETC. When ETH moves from PoW to PoS, where do you think all that ETH mining power is going to go? Answer is ETC
Let me try to explain the economics behind mining. Basically, whoever has the most money is the most powerful. With btc blocks being only 1mb, virtually anyone can afford the proper equipment and join a mining pool. When block sizes increase like is happening with BCH to 32mb and then larger in the future, the equipment used to mine the 1mb block is fast enough to mine the bigger blocks. New specialized ASICS will be created to mine the bigger blocks meaning more capital. Bitmain is the largest ASICS producer/retailer in the world owned by Jihwan Wu and Roger Ver who are the leaders of BCH. As you can see, they are highly motivated to see BCH overtake BTC and you can now understand the passion stemming from both sides of the equation.
I don’t believe that we will see convergence around a single currency such as btc or ltc or a smart contract platform, at least in the near-to-medium term. Rather, I believe that a handful of dominant platforms will emerge, each offering a different set of features and tradeoffs. We’ll see how everything develops over time.
All they’re doing is copying LTC. Direct enemies of LTC. However, BCH is much more centralized. I’m pro-decentralization. I might be right and I might be wrong but I’m sticking with LTC long term. Especially with halving 450 days away.
Honestly, it’s not even a price target at this point. It’s a time target of May 15 at 12:00:00 UTC. Then it’s a matter of moving tokens quicker than everyone else to sell.
$2250+. I own a shitload. Can’t wait to unload it
That’s when the bears will come back. It’ll last for about 4 months.
Btrash will definitely surpass both leading up to the hard fork
This board will remain quiet til November/December.
As a follow up to last week's blogpost, we want to make sure you are aware of the new maker-taker trading fee schedule coming to Poloniex next week. We'll be rolling out three changes, effective May 15, 2018:
Trading fee tiers will be based on 30-day volume in US Dollars, not Bitcoin. We want you to have reasonable expectations for the fees you will pay based on how much you trade, regardless of drastic movements in currency prices. Going forward, we will be calculating your rolling 30-day trading volume based on the daily average of the BTC-USD rate found here.
We are lowering trading fees across the board. To bring our pricing more in line with the market standard, we're lowering our starting taker fee to 0.20% and our starting maker fee to 0.10%.
We are lowering volume thresholds for fee discounts. Fees for makers will go to 0% when they trade $7,500,000 in a 30-day period; fees for takers will go to 0.10% when they trade $30,000,000 in a 30-day period.
The complete new schedule is as follows:
30-Day Volume Maker Fee Taker Fee
<$500K 0.10% 0.20%
≥$500K 0.08% 0.20%
≥$1M 0.06% 0.20%
≥$2.5M 0.04% 0.20%
≥$5M 0.02% 0.20%
≥$7.5M 0.00% 0.20%
≥$10M 0.00% 0.18%
≥$15M 0.00% 0.16%
≥$20M 0.00% 0.14%
≥$25M 0.00% 0.12%
≥$30M 0.00% 0.10%
Remember that you can check your current tier by visiting the Trading Tier Status page of your account. If you have any questions or feedback on our new fees, we'd love to hear it! You can reach our customer experience team here.
Thank you,
The Circle Poloniex team

Sharding comes first
If you want quick access to your new tokens post fork, I suggest moving them.
What wallet you using?
Grab any btrash?
Ltc and crypto hodlers will become richer than they could imagine. Very exciting times ahead of us
A year from now $1400?
BCH down 11% and the other big 3 are up nicely with BTC leading the way. Just a preview of what’s to come May 15-18. BCH will probably be above $2k by then. The massive outflow of cash from BCH after the fork will flow into the other big 3 for days and days. LTC might lag in gains during the week or it might be the leader. We shall see. Two things are certain. May 15-18 will be epic for cryptos outside of BCH and Litecoin will have massive gains sometime this year like you’re currently witnessing with BCH if not more. Follow the money. GL
Not at all but others may appreciate it.
Hardfork
No, I’m new here. Please educate me.
Show me $100 fees. The best technology doesn’t always win. It rarely does actually. Mass adaptation and usage will what will win out in the short term. Before this BCH hardfork was announced, BCH rarely did more transaction volume than Litecoin, let alone Bitcoin. BCH might end up on top or it could crash and burn when Roger and jihwan dump on everyone but making up $100+ fees/lies about btc doesn’t support BCH’s cause. I’d rather trust LTC and a true decentralized platform than BCH controlled by 2 guys who have a monopoly on ASICS.
Only time will tell. Lots of your posts are not factual. GL.

Avg block time:
Litecoin 2m 18s
BCH 9m 17s
Notice right now how BCH has dropped from its daily high while the other big 3 are at near daily high. Money flowing out of BCH and into the other 3. Wait to see what happens after the hf. Gonna be massive.
Ur wrong on speed. Litecoin currently 4 times faster.
One reason. Decentralized vs centralized
Some would disagree w/ you. Regardless, always do your own dd. I’m seriously shocked and surprised more aren’t on board the BCH trade. I was 2 days late on the news because of my recent hectic schedule. Regardless, I got in last week and posted the hf news everywhere on ihub but no one is chatting about it. Oh well. At least I’m banking. GL.
3 weeks til May 15. Hope others here bought btrash but doesn’t appear to be the case. GL
Definitely. Look at what happened to ltc after hf. I personally want to see btrash fail but I loaded it last week for a trade and will dump minutes after the hf. GL.
Consolidate your crypto positions into BCH, move your tokens to proper wallet, wait til hard fork, after hf liquidate/Short BCH, and buy ltc ETH btc. That’s for the traders out there. Everyone else, continue adding and HODL. GL

Just wait til all that cash flowing into BCH unloads after the hard fork.
$99 million Litecoin transaction for 44 cents just occurred last week. Unsure where you get fee pricing from.
The bitterness comes from the open-source, decentralized environment of Bitcoin prior to last year’s hard fork. One group thinks of bitcoin as digital gold and store of value. The other group wants bitcoin as every day transactions. So the hard fork happen with roger and jihwan leading the fork. The issue with BCH is these to central figures have way too much control and power for a “decentralized” network. With bitmain controlling the ASICS market, it gives them even more power. People are sick of being controlled and want true freedom that BCH currently can’t offer.
