Lol!! Been running around a nudist colony!! Got kicked out cause I'm too hairy !! " shave your body or leave!!"
I didn't grow all this hair for nothing !!
Ps just kidding!!!
Still strong and long !!! Had to tend to some other business. But I have a feeling we are seriously on the edge of something!! I think Scandium getting on the critical elements list was essential for some people.
It's virtually impossible to believe this thing won't happen soon!!
It's a purifying wait !! But when the Vindication Comes, it will be sweet!!
Super info Double D!!
Moxy apparently you don't appreciate a good mindless cult when you find one!!
I for one can't wait to live on Niocorp
Commune!! Wearing beads & robes and having a Love-In smoking Scandium!!
Please call Lind Partners and tell them how foolish they are for investing millions more !!!
Excellent read !! Great info Todd!!
Management told me 1-2 years ago, that there were several other Rare Earths in the deposit. And once in production the flow sheet and metallurgy could always be adapted to producing other elements.
Plus Mark said in the past that they will always be looking to make improvements during the life of the project. It's not a static situation.
It also sounded like Nordmin was already on top of several new improvements to the previous technical work.
Thanks!!! I'm sure they would have rather paid $2,000.
But what they needed cost $4,200!!
That largest suspension bridge in the world in France save either 40 or 60 percent of required concrete and steel because of Niobium!!!
Just imagine the total saving in a 1.5 trillion project!! Which is 1,500 billions!!!
Personally it makes sense for the government to just supply the money for Niocorp!!!
Awesome read !!! White House is asking congress to approve $1.5 TRILLION over 10 years for infrastructure rebuilding!! That's 150 billion per year!!
Niocorp needs 1 billion!! That's 1/1500th the requested amount.
I'll bet having a reliable supply of Niobium & Scandium alone will save many times the 1 billion alone
At the Town Hall I remember Mark saying what Niocorp and IBC paid per kg of Scandium for their tests. I think it was $4,000 or $4,500? Maybe someone remembers the exact figure used.
So if they had to pay in excess of $4,000kg why do people keep speculating on the value of Scandium.
Keeping in mind the are several levels of purity.
I believe the highest is 99.999%? In other words Five 9's. But perhaps there is even 100% pure???
What good info did you find? Thanks
I recently read or heard on a video that within the past couple years like 1-3? China had a dispute with Japan over some fishing thing. China threatened to withhold all critical rare earth elements from Japan if Japan did not comply with China's demands.
This sent shockwaves through many countries, and got them rethinking their strategic elements strategies (say that 3 times fast after adult beverages!!) Anyway all this plays to Niocorp's advantage and perhaps they might be able to borrow a higher percentage than normal. Probably for mines 50-60% debt and 50-40% equity would be fairly normal. I remember 2 years ago Mark saying they were hoping for as high as 70-75% debt the remaining equity. But 1 year ago I think Mark was hoping for 60-65% debt. But......a lot has changed in the past year !!!
Happy birthday Landmark!
Any chance you can find that article?
All debt financing would I think be highly unusual. But this is a highly unusual resource!! Especially with all the focus on critical strategic elements!!
I doubt Lind Partners just invested $3million according to recent filings,
Without knowing things we don't. Nordmin isn't going to sign agreement if they fear non payment!!
Nordmin might end up taking some or much of the payment in the form of shares? I suspect a deal with Export Development Canada is much closer than stated.
Plus who knows how many contingent commitments hang in the balance? Mark has often said, their are multiple parties at the table and B will go in once C does, and A will go in once D does their thing, E will once C&D does, etc etc
I'll bet that $180,000 Mark put in was needed to get the dominos to start falling?
One thing we all agree on is we'd prefer the share price much higher before any substantial equity portion is done.
Great info!!
Not only will pretax profits likely jump after Nordmin completes their work, (current EBITDA forecast is $389.6 million per year)
But I strongly suspect Scandium revenues will come in much higher than projected. The average projected price for Scandium is $3,675 per kg over 32yr mine life. But the highest purity levels sell for much higher prices. I suspect when all sales are averaged in, the "all in price average" will be $4,500 to $5,000 per kg.
Now it costs $1,127 to produce 1 kg of Scandium according to FS estimates.
Which means only $2,548 goes to EBITDA. But if the all-in-pricing-average is $4,949 ( increase of 50% of $2,548) then all of the additional $1,274 per kg goes directly to EBITDA, because there is no additional overhead whatsoever. Approximately $131 million increase in pretax. 389+131= $520 million EBITDA.
There is currently about 100 million in capex water costs and 11 million in operational water costs. They won't drop to zero but will probably see serious reductions. Another big bump to EBITDA.
Also remember the current structure is scalable. Niocorp could increase production up to 50% after operations begin and if the market demands increased supply. Another HUGE increase to EBITDA!! I suspect the demand for Scandium will be much stronger than the current conservative forecasts. Thousands of new patents for Scandium awaiting a reliable quality supplier!
Plus Niocorp will most likely participate in revenues from patents on Scandium Alloys with IBC.
This is all very important to the amount of dividends that WILL BE PAID!!!
Mark Smith has always been very clear that he will pay dividends as soon as possible!!
Food for thought!!!
lol a well deserved spanking no doubt! Instead of a chunk of Scandium a bit coal in the stocking!!
I personally want to apologize to Mark Smith for any criticism or negative comments I may have made.
Example: I was previously angry about time predictions, especially regarding the water situation. I now strongly suspect that Mark knew there were many options regarding the de-watering. But the company had to go with SRK's analysis in the Feasibility Study. I bet there were some heated phone conversations!!
Interesting how Nordmin is awarded the contract and Nordmin seems to know things SRK does not!!
Bottom line is there are so many moving parts to this mining business it's IMPOSSIBLE TO ACCURATELY PREDICT ANYTHING!!!
I now believe Mark was always just giving us best case scenarios, because he's always pushing for that!
Soon we will all see what an extremely competent person we have leading this company!!
I personally hope Mark stays as CEO for the next 15-20 years!! Should he desire? Niocorp will be Mark Smith's legacy!! Along with being foundational to building the Scandium Market and many other things!!
Thank you Mark and your whole team for everything!!
Sincerely, freedom5
Management is currently being very tight lipped. I suspect everything thing in the recent release will come to pass!! Just a matter of time.
1) German Guarantee of up to 180 million
2) substantial reduction in de-watering time frame. Possibly NONE!
3) help from Canada with financing.
4) lower capex (especially due to much shorter or no de-watering period). This should be a huge savings!!
5) lower opex
6) higher EBITDA!!!
7) higher ore grades earlier
8) higher revenues earlier in mine production due to all above points.
9) in one article Mark suggested we could see equipment out there as soon as late spring or early summer.
I believe Mark is being FAR MORE CAUTIOUS IN TIME FRAME PREDICTIONS!! He is well aware that many were/ are not happy with past predictions!!
General info for new investors:
This is what I've learned about how a mining project goes. (I'm far from an authority or expert).
1) discover a resource.
2) drilling and studying the material
To gain as much understanding of
Resource. Costs certain amounts of money, obviously.
3) a PEA ( preliminary economic
assessment) comes out. This has a
Basic level of information. $5-10 million to do in Niocorp's case (maybe more?)
4) then the FS ( Feasibility Study)
A much higher level of detail. Much
More expensive. This is the key study to prove a project worthy of doing and investing and lending into to by banks and financial institutions. I believe this cost Niocorp around $25-30 million.
5) then the Detailed Engineering work. This is the real nitty gritty. Costs around $60-70 million in Niocorp's case.
Now no one is spending $60-70 additional million unless this project is happening!!!
But the average farmer or investor in Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa does not know what I just posted!!! My point is anyone doubting whether this thing is happening doesn't understand mining projects. I know I sure didn't!!
Ps please feel free to correct any errors or mistakes in my post!!
I'm just a " janitor with an opinion!!"
Best wishes to all !!
DouglasPlatte in my opinion makes a TREMENDOUSLY valid point!!
I've often said:
" how many people understand mining stocks? The mining business?"
" how many have ever heard of Niocorp and the Elk Creek Super Alloy Project?"
" what the heck is Niobium?"
" Scandium? Hmmm can you eat it?
Does it help arthritis? Lol"
My point ALMOST NO ONE UNDERSTANDS ANY OF THIS!!!
We all see the world thru our eyes and shaded lenses. We all tend to think others know a little of what we know.
If you know how to balance a checkbook or properly change a flat tire or oil on a car, then you'll tend to think " everyone knows that!!"
When in fact to do any of those seemingly simple things takes several
Steps that are NOT simple & easy when you first attempt it.
So now we look at an: underground mine in Nebraska- hmmm what? That's corn country!! A Scandium market that is in its embryonic stage of growth because there is no producer of the element!! Etc etc
Don't forget this Resource has been known since the late 1960's and there are many people who know about it who want to see it happen but they aren't buying until they see equipment out there breaking ground!!
So people like us are currently unbelievably excited!! But we are only .0000000000001% of the population!!!!
But this stock has no where to go but up!!
And WalterC has the credentials that say he knows what he's talking about!!! Appreciate your input Walter!!
Ps I hope when the CEO of Niocorp visits your area in Europe there will be some smart people like yourself with some substantial financial resources to help move this thing forward as quickly as possible!!
Yes it would be a debt loan.
Great piece of info!!
To all shareholders, please tell family friends and neighbors to pick up s few shares!! Soon it will cost 4-5 times current price!!
Remember back in September Mark said in his personal opinion the stock was worth 10X the current price at around .53US at that time. Meaning $5.30US.
That was before Trumps Executive order etc !!
Best wishes to all !!
Amen!! Landmark in my opinion every
Substantial point and there are several is worthy of a separate PR Release!!
That's why I suggested to all board members to please read today's release more than once.
It will probably take weeks for the real effect of today's release to be revealed in the share price.
The pressure will continue to build!!
We could see $1US within 1-2 weeks. Then heading towards $2.
Remember at Town Hall Marks opinion was stock was worth 10 times the price back in September!!
I'll bet Lind was well aware of this info weeks ago!! Now we see why their latest commitment is what it was!!
And Canada will support this project since many Canadian companies will benefit!!
Watershed day!!!!
Actually I think Niocorp officially moved Corporate HQ to colorado
Within past 24 months?
Awesome article stark !!!
Amen Landmark!! Equipment requires money!! Perhaps code for " we expect financing by late spring or early summer!!
Plus expect Nordmin to release a series of announcements!!
I think we'll all look back and see
February 7, 2018 as the launch date for this stock!!

Statement from Nordmin's website:
How Nordmin Works - Nordmin's Fair Play Statement
It is Nordmin's corporate policy not to overload ourselves with projects, so that we can complete our projects with maximum efficiency, and dedicate the right resources to each project.
We have a stated policy that is our corporate ethos, that EVERY EFFORT WE UNDERTAKE IS COMPLETED AS THOUGH WE HAVE A VESTED INTEREST IN THE END RESULT. We treat our client's money and time as though it were our own, and take the project's objectives, budgets and schedules on as though they were ours, and that our future depends on them.
We will work to our utmost to meet or exceed our targets and commitments.
We will never hide or attempt to disguise issues, faults or shortcomings - such issues are dealt with openly and quickly. We will advise on any issue that we foresee as potential impediments to the project as soon as they are identified.
This is the standard we have set for ourselves on every project effort. This is how Nordmin works.
Let's review:
Mark says in recent interviews that latest money from Lind will in large part be to advance The Detailed Engineering work. The FS priced this work at 65$ million.
Couple weeks later (today) we get this incredible announcement!!
And the announcement suggests there will be a series of updates coming as the Detailed work is completed.
I think the floodgates are now open!!
Get ready!! Let the games begin!! ( ain't just talking about the Winter Olympics!!)
Read current release like 10 times!!
Check this out!!
Nordmin will explore alternative water control technologies that could reduce or eliminate the need for 15-18 months of active dewatering prior to the start of the mine shaft sinking operations. Nordmin believes that these innovations could potentially result in these benefits to the Project:
Reduce or eliminate??!!! Are you serious!! The only reason the release is saying this is because they KNOW there will be huge improvements!!
To even suggest the thought "eliminate" would not be used unless there was a legitimate possibility!
This is beyond huge
Ummm yes !!! But I'm cheating!! Lol
Just released huge news 40 minutes ago
Awesome awesome news!! We may finally get the bump and the run this stock needs and deserves!!!!
Mark stated publicly at the Town Hall
They were looking at engineering firms that might/ would participate in assisting with project financing!!
Everything in today's PR release is
Off the charts positive!! I strongly suspect these possible improvements are more like probable or definitely, but Company must speak cautiously until done !!!! Shortened de-watering times, lower capex and opex means increased EBITDA!!! Plus help with financing!! " I think we hit the jackpot!!" Thank you Jesus!!!! Seriously, thank you Jesus!!
Regarding CBMM and the Moreira Salles family ( majority owners ).
Mark Smith used to be on the board of CBMM which has been stated before.
Mark knows the Moreira Salles family
Very well. Mark has stated publicly that CBMM actually WANTS more providers of Niobium in the market.
Reasons are they don't want a monopoly because of the issues that causes with many countries. Also having more suppliers of Niobium to the world market REDUCES supply chain risk and creates more market stability for CBMM also. Every company that uses Niobium would like multiple suppliers of all their material needs. I once lost a large sum of money because a company poised for a huge breakout had
Supply chain issues!! They horribly mismanaged their supply chain risk !!
And the same will apply to Scandium as well!! Which is why multiple suppliers will actually strengthen the market of Scandium. So Niocorp welcomes all players to the scandium field!! It's a win win win!
Companies will have to spend millions to retool for a new process. They need to have supply chain redundancies to lower risk and be assured of getting their material.
Actually there is several million in outstanding bills. It's called the Current Ratio, which is current assets vs current liabilities. Niocorp was several millions away from a 1:1 ratio.
So it's entirely possible that this capital from Lind will be used to get caught up.
In fact getting the current ratio more reasonable could be "a condition " of bigger money coming into the project.
The fact the company is being pretty tight lipped about things is often a favorable sign that things are in the works!!
Very very interesting!! Hmmm I wonder if the family that owns the big Brazil Niobium mine is behind this !!
Will take your advice under consideration!!
Lol!! You lecture me while lining up a future date to sip wine with Johanna!!
This is hilarious!!!
Perhaps you can dazzle us with you engineering prowess, flex some of those engineering brain cells for the lady in Europe make her weak in the knees or perhaps or drinking elbow!!
Lol !!
