The latest corporate presentation on Niocorp’s website keeps looking better & better !!
Excellent post, well stated !!!
Excellent find !!!
Yes loan guarantees would be awesome. And most only provide a percentage of protection for the lenders. The lenders still have risk.
But the government can probably help provide an environment that supports & encourages financing.
“opportunities to strengthen the United States’ mineral security.”
What does that line mean? Obviously Niocorp is exactly such an opportunity!!! They will examine the list of critical elements and opportunities!!
I respect Mark tremendously but Jim is probably better suited for this. But it may also mean that Mark is off somewhere closing a financing deal?
I recently had a dream and Niocorp had shot up to $3.72!!
Years ago I was heavily invested in a stock that plummeted huge a month or two after a dream were it did exactly that. Hmmm. Very unscientific of course but just an interesting note. And I usually don’t remember dreams.
Hopefully this small amount of money from Lind is a sign that a large deal is pending and not much is needed!!
Walter upon financing news, what would you think effect on share price would be? Thanks
Is there anyway to tell who’s selling other than the market makers on level 2?
How can they hold down the share price?
Very good thought that Rockwell in addition to Nordmin can play a role in financing!!! It certainly helps that Nordmin is involved.
All great thoughts!! I too am wondering if this Rockwell announcement is basically the company sending a signal to shareholders and potential shareholders things are much further along than they state publicly?
Or am I reading too much into this?
Remember we were desperate for news !! My opinion we are much further along !!
Hey Todd I was wondering what your post was referring to exactly? Apologize for being under 60!
My bad I assumed it was at Rockwell cause it wasn’t at Niocorp
Niocorp definitely gaining traction!!
News posted on Rockwell site a huge plus !! Wondering why it’s not on Niocorps home page?
Walter in your opinion does this Rockwell news suggest we are truly close to some financing news?
At the Town Hall last September when share price was around .50 us$ Marks personal opinion was the stock was worth 10x that price back then.
Wouldn’t that be something!!
Would love to hear MNGA!! We know Management can’t say anything to him that’s not public. But he certainly can share any observations. Like WalterC did. When he read a lot of confidence in Mark when playing golf.
Mark didn’t seem worried. But hopefully MNGA will post soon!!!
I keep hoping the lack of news is a good sign something is close! Kinda strange there has been no news lately? Has anyone spoken to management recently?
Could be we are in a true blackout period. I’m not sure what all the rules are. I wonder if certain news items get tabled during a blackout period?
Could be a good sign?
As usual boilermaker and WalterC make such excellent posts. Each with their area of expertise. As always thank you !!!!
If WalterC says 100% right then your thinking is probably spot on. Thanks
Boilermaker for your good contribution!!
Your opinion is quite different from Nordmin. Who are experts in mining.
They expect improvements in the dewatering projections even to the point of eliminating the extensive dewatering phase. How I don't know specifically? But Niocorp would not permit that info in a PR release if it were not a possibility.
Amen!! Well said
Kmack you're sick!! Lol darn near gave me a heart attack!!
Great post Walter!!!!
Walter I somehow missed this post!!
Thank you very much! I had hoped and thought this would be the case with Nordmin!! I greatly appreciate you confirming your confidence in Niocorp. I do believe you know a great deal about the project and have been very close to it for several years, probably 5+ years.
Thanks Jeunke much appreciated!!
Did you by chance attend or get to chat with Mark?
Just want to repeat I feel good that Walter perceived much confidence in Mark! Sometimes I think the more quiet the company is the better! It could mean they are in a "blackout period " because something very substantial is coming.
I would think just an update to FS. Nordmin is completely familiar with FS which is why they felt they could do improvements. So I think any delays would be minimal if at all.
I think boilermaker said it well in a previous post where I speculated about your point.
Meaning it would be illogical to redo the FS every time there was a change.
Because many up and down adjustments would most likely happened during Detailed Engineering work as well as actual construction. Probably just PR updates will occur.
I truly appreciate WalterC's post! I think Walter is a man of high integrity and has an impressive resume!!
And there's nothing like looking a person straight in the eyes!!
I wish we could all see and feel what Walter felt today.
Well share price is a little disappointing today. I know we were all hoping for good news!! To be fair the company never stated any such thing. It's just we are all wanting so much to hear some!!
Mark has made several comments publicly about dividends, mostly a couple years ago. His mindset has always been that he has definite intention to pay dividends. He generally says something like " as the single largest shareholder I'll let you guess as to whether I'd like dividends!" Previous quote is paraphrased. But whenever addressing the dividend issue over the past 5 years, Mark was always very positive about it. Of course that's not a guarantee.
Sounds like good logic. From what most of us understand the FS and 3rd party review were all that was needed to secure financing.
It also doesn't hurt any that Nebraskas governor recommended Niocorp to the White House as a company important to national security.
Sorry if this has been posted and I missed it. But I think the company is expecting a material/substantial change to Capex when Nordmin is finished with some of their studies based upon information in Nordmin release. This absolutely could cause a delay in financing since I'd imagine everyone wants the most accurate numbers possible. We all hate waiting but this could be an excellent development for the company and us in the sense of better terms and less dilution. But the wait is a long one!! I hope some type of update is forthcoming.
Oops " contains no technical FATAL flaws"
Boilermaker may have it right! Upon re-reading the March 9th announcement. I think it's much more positive than I first thought.
The announcement emphasizes that Northcott Capital commissioned the study. Northcott is "leading the effort to assemble financing". Also " the assessment was conducted as part of the normal due diligence process associated with traditional project financing."
The release emphasizes " favorable characteristics" and "contains no technical flaws."
"It was written and signed off by 13 technical professionals and scientists covering the full range of technical issues associated with the project."
The more I reflect on it, it may be AS FAVORABLE as these 3rd party evaluations get? I think initially I'd hoped for something even better, but I now think the purpose of the report is to try to find or uncover a "fatal flaw". Something that would tell the financial institutions NO. But they could not find any reason to stop the project.
Kinda like in the movies " does anyone present know any reason why this man and woman should not be joined in holy matrimony? Speak now or forever hold your peace!!" Lol
13 different technical experts and scientists seems quite substantial. I think the FS had around 15 Qualified Persons signing off. I remember Mark saying that was a very high number compared to most projects. Perhaps the time delays are from Mark wanting to dot every i and cross every t when going to lenders and investors.
The purpose of the 3rd party report is probably not to make any predictions about economic success or viability, but rather to find technical or scientific reasons to identify risk factors that could cause the project to fail. It seems very reasonable that financing news is truly coming in the weeks ahead. And the long wait to all the longtime shareholders is almost over!!
From your fingers to Gods ears!!
