Amen landmark !! Very few people know about this company and niobium and almost no one on scandium !!!
Niobium is the bread and butter!
Titanium is the jam (lol)
BUT SCANDIUM IS THE GOLDEN GOOSE WHO LAY MANY MANY GOLDEN EGGS !!!
1- the FS
2- complete German Gov loan
guarantee
3- scandium off take agreements
4- completion of critical permits
Once these four things occur there is no impediment to most major and institutional investors getting involved. Depending on the rules and policies of each investment type or type of investor. The really big ones are number one and number three.
Once those numbers are established we can expect substantial movement in the stock. Also critical to remember is the company only needs a certain amount of money to begin the project and wants to share price rises they will need to issue fewer and fewer shares for the equity portion of project financing. Also this new president and his America first mindset could be a huge game changer for this company.
This is technically a junior mining company in the pre Feasibility Study stage. Your ratios do not apply in any meaningful manner. It's like a company in the R&D stage all they do is loose money. You would have to have knowledge in valuing this type of company at this stage to assign and analyze relevant ratios.
Ps but Ive heard from extremely reliable sources that big investors are waiting for feasibility study and or sc offtakes to jump in.
Walter I'm not sure it hinges on a sc offtake. The project was/is completely bankable on just nb and ti. As was identified in PEA 1. It just sc makes this deal really really exciting. Niobium is the bread and butter of the deal. Sc is the golden goose. Just how valuable those eggs will be are yet to be specific. But by all accounts they will be quite valuable. My concerns are more about the true global money and economic situation. I believe this project will ultimately be done. But there are factors beyond anyone's control that may effect this project. But Mark Smith says " money always finds it way to valuable projects."'and this by all reasonable accounts is a very valuable project. I sincerely pray that God blesses this project, I know there are many good people invested in it. Money is a good thing, the disordered love of money, well Jesus had some pretty negative thoughts on that topic!! Jesus grant me all the success that will not hinder my spiritual growth !!! Gee didn't plan to go all spiritual!! Oh well maybe God wanted me to?
Walter, I agree with your sentiments 100%. Though any investor
Hopes the essence of what landmark says is true, the way he says it is without prudence and an honest assessment of the real risks and issues both known and unknown with any enterprise. He is far more a cheerleader than providing good sound insight. I find fault with the way he says things. His unbalanced euphoria is tiresome !!!! I've come to just ignore him and that's too bad, because he is diminishing his value.
What Airbus? Locking down a reliable source of scandium and a wonderful profit center! Not to mention their own super alloy center for all future projects. I know it may not be common to go that far downstream but I think this should be highly attractive to many large investors for a variety of reasons.
Hey Propjoe what makes you feel/think with such certainty we will be bought out provided good FS numbers which is highly likely( numbers will be good to very good) And if that occurs is it generally a cash deal or cash and new shares/ reduced shares etc? Would really appreciate your insights - thanks
Hey Jim Sims it's a great time to maybe post just to be extra clear. Are there any potential issues in the project area regarding wetlands? I sense today's announcement is trying to put things as positive as possible. But perhaps it's not over until final permit approval is received for whole project area?
Does this current announcement clear the way to begin mine construction upon financing? What is the latest clarity on FS completion? Also keep these releases coming !!! (Which of course I know you do as soon as able) plus I think the board always appreciates your posts as they are very informative!!
Wow!!! Niocorp had 1st slot right after opening remarks! That may be the most prime spot !!! Feels like something very good is in the making. Thanks masslanding !!
Hey prop joe what makes you think the company will be bought out ?
Time frame? Share price ? Thanks
Awesome post !! Only time will tell if Mark is in for the long haul of Super Duper Super Alloy Super Company or putting together the pieces of a something very attractive to sell. Probably all depends if he wants to be a part of making history !! We only get one shot at life. Time will tell. But Niocorp is in an amazing position to create something truly historic.
Great analogy !! Much appreciated. I guess it would be hard to even crunch the numbers and make a reasonable offer. There is even the "detailed engineering" to be done after the FS. Let Mark and team get all the roadblocks out of the way: raising $ through feasibility, permitting, offtakes, local governmental relationships, etc, etc in other words de-risk the project to a certain degree where a buyer/buyers would feel comfortable.
It's just this scandium thing is the golden goose. Niobium is the bread and butter but scandium is the thing that can lift this to the stratosphere!! The more it's de-risked the more it will cost a buyer.
Plus from my conversations with company execs over last two years there is way more down there than we yet know and the quality gets richer the deeper they go and it's open at depth!!! Plus there are other REE's in the carbonite that could be of worth down the road, if the price gets higher for the various REE's. This is a hundred year mine at least.
If I were Airbus I'd be all over this. Unless they are not yet truly committed to scandium. Heck ThyssenKrupp ought to buy it and lock down all the niobium they want and clean up on scandium and titanium. Heck Airbus and ThyssenKrupp could create a joint venture, reduce risk and each get what they want.
Just the ramblings of someone whose been waiting for two years !!!!
Hey Propjoe I know you have consistently maintained Niocorp will be sold before it ever gets close to production, probably even before any major capital raise. Smith has always maintained he wants to run this thing during production. Is it the type of thing where " he doth protest to loudly!" Thereby revealing a different motive? What are your reasons for feeling so strong about it?
Looking forward to your thoughts
I wonder why Airbus or a potential major scandium user just doesn't come in and buy the whole thing or certainly gain control. Secure for themselves some or most of their scandium needs and sell the niobium for a profit center? Why be at the mercy of market prices you can't control?
Thanks
Strange on a day when we have had the closest thing to the announcement we've been waiting for, for months there is so little volume and we are talking about music bands!! Maybe we are happy? Maybe a sigh of relief? Who knows?
I suspect Mark has received feedback from existing warrant holders that many if not all will be exercised. Plus I think Mark has some as well as ex director Tony Fulton. And in that sense the company can say they believe they have " access" to the funds needed to complete FS. Jim said " stay tuned" every time he says that substantial things do come out. I firmly believe they are close (next 30 days) to announcing other capital raises to see them through to the big financing.
Prop joe I hope you chime in regularly your posts are of great value in my opinion!!! You seem to be a voice of sound reason and experience!!
Thank you !!!!!
Read the news release from February 2015. Also I spoke to Dickie and others in the company at length about it. I also asked a question about scandium on the investor call April 2015 and why was the scandium production so low at 12 tons. Dickie was president until the end of May 2015 when he resigned. Scandium was known about even before that. It wasn't until Feb 2015 Niocorp determined it was a World Class Resource
12 tons of scandium was forecasted in PEA 1. Then 97 tons in PEA 2
Scandium has been apart of this for quite awhile.
All one needs to do is go back and look at numbers in PEA 1 what the cash flow was. And the bankers and money people were happy, this is when Peter Dickey was president. Then the numbers were adjusted upward. Then came the blow out numbers of PEA 2.
Also though Mark did last September speak hopeful of off- takes with scandium coming soon. Then certain companies didn't want competition to know what they were up to. Then at the recent townhall Mark said several companies were waiting for the FS before inking any deals. So....we are all waiting!! I've also heard from very credible sources that several large investors were just simply waiting for scandium offtakes!! There is no doubt scandium offtakes are very important as are many other things. But this deal was very profitable before scandium had a huge bump in the recovery rates!
I follow the board very closely and do greatly appreciate all the good things that are shared!
Really sorry to hear !!
Keep trying
I just told Jim sims that your having problems
