As much as I liked my little dream of paying off my home, with my profits, I have to look at the realistic side of things.
This is a real company, a legitimate business. That’s what attracted me to this stock and why I bought it with the intention of holding it for some time. ECIG is going to be listed on NASDAQ. They were in the process of doing so before the tsunami of shorting began and they want to get back on that track. They can’t do that until they shake off all the people who are keeping the price down by shorting the stock. The quickest way to that goal is to do a reverse split. The CEO may have had other intentions but the Board of Directors are who he answers to. They will make that decision, IF they get the votes to do so.
That being said, I can see the logic of splitting it so that the share value is close to what they originally wanted to offer when they went public. $4.50 a share. That would be, very roughly, 1 for 65. That’s just my shot in the dark. Maybe someone else with more experience can chime in with a different estimate and the logic that goes with it. I’d be interested in hearing it.
If, like me, you bought with the intention of holding, then I think, at the very least, we’ll eventually double our money. That won’t come close to paying off my house but it’s a nice profit on my investment by anyone’s realistic measure, if I choose to sell. It isn't going to be as fast as the usual, wild west, penny stock timeline but I believe it'll happen. I couldn't care less if I make money on 10,000 shares priced at .07 or 100 shares priced at $7.00 it's all the same. The bottom line is all that counts.
Remember:
1. You can guess all you want to about what's going to happen but you can't know for certain. This isn't the usual penny stock company so what you've experienced before can't be applied here and now. But if you like scaring yourselves then by all means go for it.
2. Until all this gets sorted out, you haven't lost any money unless you choose to sell at a loss. If you do that then you can't blame anyone but yourself.
