Good Morning Peeps..
I just read the article in Time posted by Rifleshaft .. here is the last paragraph:
“The agency is charged with regulating a marketplace where it doesn’t know what’s in the market,” says Lurie, who spent nearly eight years working in the FDA. That can’t be especially reassuring for GW Pharmaceuticals, which invested a small fortune in playing by the rules, or for consumers. It may also be a while before the FDA acts. The agency wouldn’t comment on a timeline, but Kight says he’s heard it might take up to three years to issue regulations. “This industry has gone from zero to where it is now in three years,” he says. “Where it’s going to be in three more years is hard to even imagine.”
Three years? Ouch.. I have patience and believe in the product but holy-a-smokes three years is a long time. I have to wonder what would happen to this stock in that time? The stock is already fighting tooth and nail now waiting for this to happen.
Granted, no one said three years is accurate. Its only speculation but lets hope the FDA gets it together before then. I will still be here anyway, but I would rather be here with CVSI already on the NASDAQ and a share price in the 20's.
Good Morning Peeps..
So I pass a store on my way to work every morning that has huge 5 foot letters in the front .. "CBD+" and finally became curious enough to look them up. Its an American Shaman store, and they sell their own brand of CBD products. Maybe you have heard of them, maybe you have seen their brick and mortar stores. There are at least a dozen in the Dallas area alone, so I figure they may have one where ever you are.
Some of the answers to questions asked by customers on their website trouble me a little, for example:
Q: My sister has stage 4 cancer does cbd fight the cancer ?
A: Though both thc and cbd have been known to kill cancer cells, it is not a cure all. It also depends on the type of cancer as well. Studies have shown that it does kill cancer cells without harming normal cells
I really don't even know if this is true, and it may be, but it sure sounds to me like a snake oil pitch by someone that just wants to make a sale.
Q: I would like to learn more about your product and costs associated. I understand you make this using CO2?
A: Yes, our products are non GMO's, gluten free, and we use CO2 extract method to remove chemicals and pesticides, we also use a nanotechnology so u get up to 95% absorption rates as compare to oil base cbd, u only get up to 10% absorption. Our 300mg nanotechnology water soluble bottle is equivalent to 3000mg of the oil base. Ours is only 64.94 with tac for a 30 day supply.
I have heard of the different methods to extract the CBD oils.. but have not heard of this nanotechnology that allows up to 95% absorption rate, or only up to a 10% compared to oil based CBD.. has anyone else heard of this?
Because of things like this on their website, I do not get a good fist impression of the company. At least CVSI seems to be straight up with the public in everything that they say.
Good Morning Peeps..
I am more of a technical trader and only just found this stock a few days ago when it popped up on my stock screener. I don't usually invest in sub-pennies but I took a look at it anyway. When I saw the chart for the last 90 days I was impressed so here I am. I bought in yesterday so I missed the trips but hey thats OK, as long as it continues to run I am good.
The chart, this is not a quick pop straight up like a lot of pump and dumpers. This has been a slow build since April and thats pretty much what sold me at first glance.. and there does not seem to be any signs of slowing down.
GLTA
Thanks for the confidence.. but I admit I do have to wonder. As soon as I buy in, the trading stops dead in its tracks. Nothing happening! LOL.. was it something I said?
There is a CVSI mention in this article on Motley Fool. There are a couple if interesting highlights..
For one it mentions CVSI like this : CV Sciences (NASDAQOTH:CVSI) .. I have never seen a reference to 'NASDAQOTH' before and a quick search on Google didnt help. There was another company in the article with the same type of designation. Maybe this is basic stuff, maybe not.. but can someone help a brother out and let me in on what this is? Its not a full fledge reference to NASDAQ membership, but its not OTC either. To me, OTH is a reference for Originate to Hold..
Another point is one of the last sentences in the piece:
One thing to keep in mind is that you (investors) need to have a long-term perspective. There's no way to know how long the FDA will take to establish CBD regulations.
..which I think is great advice as it makes perfect sense. The FDA can take as long as they want, and are probably not in any real hurry to get this done. Sucks for us though..
Alright Already..
I have been watching this for a couple of days and decided to get in. Fingers crossed.
Good Morning..
New to this stock, it popped up on my stock screener last night. Lots of volume but man when I did some DD I gotta say I dont know.. there is no real reason for the sudden up tick in the stock price so if I get in it will only be for a quick ride. Like the stock or not, there is momentum right now.
I just placed a small buy order for 3.95 .. who knows, it might fill.
Agreed, 100%.
The fundamentals of the company HAVE NOT CHANGED, and if anything are getting stronger.
There has been NO BAD NEWS to explain the current price drop, so to me its just an anomaly, something that just happens once in a while.. especially down in the wild west of the OTC. Someone before me just said in so many words if you cant take the heat then get out of the kitchen and I agree.
The company makes a profit. Say it with me.. the company makes a profit. That's virtually unheard of in the OTC. Revenues have steadily been increasing quarter over quarter for a while now. Those two things right there should be enough to calm anyone with any fears.
Don't trade on emotion and know what you own.
Good Morning Peeps..
Is anybody else in this? I managed to get a partial order fill last week back at 2.05 myself.. looks like it still has some legs.
Sorry for double posting but I just saw this advertisement while I was doing my normal morning stock surfing.. thought I would share..
I guess my browser has learned that I look at CBD stuff once in a while and decided to show me this. I clicked the banner and it took me to the pluscbd website, showed me a few options of products (such as the oral applicator that somehow I didn't know they offered) and had the big CV SCIENCE logo at the bottom of the page. I just hope others out there click the banner when it shows up on their browsers.
Good Morning Peeps..
Put me down as a member of the one year club too. While the share price is not where I would have guessed it would be by now I am still way up and plan on staying all in. The future possibilities are just too good to ignore.
As far as the FDA stuff, I personally do not expect much to happen with the share price until action itself is taken. Announcements are nice, and the SP may pop a little on one, but from what I have seen is this stock likes real meat and potatoes and doesn't like to just look at the menu so much. Wait until the buffet opens when we are on NASDAQ, in the big box stores, have a full blown FDA certification, and all that.
Good Morning Peeps..
Good Morning Peeps..
I see Vandy is still around.. yes I do still look to see what he is saying sometimes. Sorry Vandy, but I still have you on ignore..
I read this from this article and thought I would share the part I found interesting..
CBD isn't entirely legal. CBD companies, some health care professionals and some news reports make blanket claims that CBD is totally legal in every state. Tishler says that's far from the truth.
Until recently, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration considered all cannabinoids, including CBD, a schedule 1 drug, which means it was as illegal as heroin from the federal government's perspective. And while CBD is no longer a schedule 1 drug, it remains illegal until the U.S. Food and Drug Administration releases new regulations and companies are in compliance, Tishler explains. The only form of CBD that's legal in the federal government’s eyes is the prescription medicine Epidiolex, which the FDA approved in 2018 to treat seizures associated with two rare forms of epilepsy – and nothing else. (CBD may be legal, though, if acquired through a state medical cannabis program.) And even though hemp, which is regulated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is legal so long as the THC content is negligible, people who want to make CBD by farming hemp need to have a license to do so through the federal government or, in some cases, their state, Tishler explains. Unfortunately, there's no good way to know if your manufacturer has acquired this, he says.
Still, the federal government isn't enforcing CBD's illegal status, and some states like Colorado are stepping in to fill in regulatory gaps locally. In other words, consumers aren't likely going to get in legal trouble for buying or using CBD, but that's not the same as a green light.
Good Morning Peeps..
Good Morning Peeps..
Things are not so bad. Sure the stock price is heading lower at the moment and frankly I dont understand why. There is no real reason, no bad news, all I know is that it is.
However, the FDA is about to make a ruling. I cannot see how it is going to hurt any legitimate CBD company and expect the stock price to rebound on the news.
Also the lawsuits, while twisting and turning their way through the court system, are going to be dismissed. I do not know the exact schedule but this too will help rebound the stock price on this news.
And further, the uplisting to NASDAQ will only be seen a a good thing. The stock price should react nicely to this news as well when it is announced.
All three of these things are in the works, and should be resolved relatively soon. With no bad news out there good times are ahead, in my opinion.
Good Morning Peeps..
Good Morning Peeps.
Good Morning Peeps..
Good Morning Peeps..
I went over the conference call last night and came up with my own notes.. but after reading Jefras post here I decided not to say anything as he already said it all. Good job.
The numbers over all were probably to be expected and I too expect better numbers next quarter, and as time goes on. The company is obviously moving in the right direction.
The Mona payout (keep in mind its not cash) is just a cost of doing business and a LOT of companies do this. Its not like he hog tied us on his way out.
Historically, the price dips after the quarterly reports. I personally do not see it dropping below $4.80 - $4.70 or so but hey I could be wrong. Thats just what the charts show me. Regardless of if it dips or not it always recovers so use it as a buying opportunity.
Exciting times ahead and good luck to all.
Nothing wrong with taking a profit, nobody ever went broke by doing that. I myself am not ready to cash in yet as I still see a lot of upside here but good for those of you that did.
I don't have a problem with setting a record in quarterly revenues, increasing retail distribution by over 1000 stores, and increasing the cash balance. Making a profit is always a good thing, especially down here in OTC land.
To me, these are all GOOD things and those of you that think the sky is still falling, well sorry you feel that way. I really don't know what you were expecting, maybe it just goes to show that you guys don't know any better then the rest of us.
Shares to Mona is not ideal for any of us, but sadly its the cost of doing business and wont happen forever.
Good Morning Peeps..
That chart says it all.
OK Chicken Little, the sky is NOT falling.
The price goes up and down all the time, and it will continue to do so. CVSI is just following the same pattern that it has been following for the past six months.
See the chart I posted in this message. You will see the trend line for the bottoms is currently around the 4.70 to 4.80 range. I can see the price dropping to those levels and then bouncing back up just like it has been doing for a while now.
I am not worried at all because there has been no bad news to drive this ticker down, therefore there is no reason to believe the trend will not continue.
Good Morning Peeps..
