Don't know! But look where they have a secret factory - Taiwan
That's where Nitto Denko are based too of course.

Sorry if this was ready posted I'm behind with recent posts
Are you crazy? If I cut a cake into 4 pieces and an equal size cake into 8 pieces you have the same size cake. You are saying the cake with 8 pieces is bigger.
If qtmm needs to show a dollar share price before it can go to nasdaq and wants to up list before any monster sales come in or other significant change to the business then that's what must happen and there is no other downside to it.
I must have been asleep. When was a RS mentioned in PR?
Well done Jamis. May you be richly rewarded. Here's hoping.
Hi ecmoney. Yes looking good and a 450% gain on this tip so far. Can't be bad!
I think their lab time and materials costs will be funded. But no more than that. I don't think this will turn out to be commercial sales, it is a joint enterprise

Interesting because I think the initial delay with DOW was something to do with trouble over the way dots were being adhered to film/ lack of uniform arrangement. I don't know if they had fixed it but it seems Nitto have the best technology for this part of the manufacturing process
I don't know. Nanoco up listed with a £18.5m fundraising. There are no plans we know of to build another factory, and so why do they need this money, given the first revenues will be Q4 2015 or Q1 2016? It must mean a heavy r and d input for some time to come. Yes I know the start up factory cost is lower for QTMM, but.......
SP has now bounced back strongly after am RNS - Director Share purchase of 100,000 shares. I have also invested a bit today, just to get a foot back in the camp. If the QD measures up as Nanoco says then the SP should do well near term, if and when production actually starts - DOW do at least seem to be publicly endorsing significant growth in this arena. Medium /long term my view is that the weight of money is better off with QTMM.
Two-thirds of the value wiped in the last 6 months at a time when the CEO was talking about signing multiple contracts. Either the SP is a steal or there is some bad news to come out on factory production or contracts. Loads of selling at the moment
Nanoco woes continue. Down another 14% at open this morning. The rapid decline from 120p is startling. It could be a good sign of things to come here of course.
I think it is probably a good time to buy more. I will be doing that next week.
When is the 10Q due please?
I would need to check but I think the debate was lost on the issue of relative performance because cadmium free dots can and do improve energy consumption too, albeit to a lesser degree. So the regulatory issue was not decided on relative performance rather it was decided on expectations of market availability, the EU believing that market supply of cadmium free was available in commercial quantities.
Definitely right to state that cadmium dots preferable on performance grounds. QTMM covering both camps.
The meaning of "funded" is what do you think?
Or in fact - reduces the need for expensive barrier films http://www.qmcdots.com/press/press44.php
In the article SS days "do not" require expensive barrier films. Previously this was "may not".

I still think it is Samsung leading this dance. Call me Sherlock
There has never been any clearer signal that product sales and revenue is coming to this company. That news would be transformational. I would buy more but there is no need for me now.
Is he invested in QTMM?
It was showing as down a small percentage when I posted that.
In recent weeks we have seen two independent endorsements of the technology from marketing leading customers. For me, it will only head in one direction now (upwards).
Down on the day so far... is that a reasonable reaction? Actual product news!! Just think of the criticism a few weeks ago and reflect on the progress being made now, and in rapid time.
Not sure if this was posted before?

I would sell Nanoco endlessly waiting for contracts on a stock price 10x this one. What's the worst case here, 10c? And news = >$1
Groundhog day again.
Optimistically 5-10 years for the solar induatry to develop QD production capability IMO.
Yes DD, that's about the gist. I would need to check too but I think it was an EU review rather than an appeal, but Nanoco certainly did lay information to the Commission. The critical issue which underpinned the EU's decision not to renew the exemption was the availability of a ready market supply of CFQD - as evidenced by the LG roll out plans (and others).
By the way, quiz question for you- which company do you think it was that was instrumental in persuading the EU Commission not to extend the cadmium exemption? Here's your answer- http://www.lse.co.uk/regulatory-news-article.asp?ArticleCode=jfz7oz6j&ArticleHeadline=Welcomes_MEPs_Rejection_of_Cadmium_Quantum_Dots
And you say "no PR"!???
SUNYN75 - Nanoco have been the frontrunner in making cadmium free dots for at least 2 years now, first from Runcorn and soon to be South Korea. Everyone else is playing catch up on that score. They did it first because they correctly anticipated the regulatory changes which are coming in Europe (but not as soon as you say). Give it up!!
I was thinking that too, DD. Amazing levels of self restraint, so why now?
That's the bit I violently disgree with-- "prove all the longs correct". SS can't do that and never will. Not if he signs a million revenue generating contracts. There is only faith, hope, and judgement.
I believe things will always take much longer than anyone predicts. This is a new industry - even companies like Nanoco are looking 2 years down the line for the realisation of decent profits. Even if things are on the right path it could easily take 1-2 years more waiting here. I'd love to be wrong of course but too much has happened too soon to think it will just leap to the next stage .
Life is not like that.
Errr, you can see the future?? Actually, no-one becomes brilliant because QTMM succeeds, nor are they foolish if it doesn't. It will take things to go right as people hope but no-one knows how this will turn out
I was pretty sure he was referring to DOW/Nanoco too. The reason being the comment is preceded by a statement about being able to build capacity. That was definitely Nanoco's problem solved by DOW. Investors in Nanoco see that as a major endorsement / buy signal, but I see it rather differently
10 out of 10 for Clay this time from me.Very much happier with this production. Apologies to those I've offended with my previous comments but this just shows how it can be done well. A good write up which adds to the credibility of the company profile as it should do.
There is one important question I have which is how Clay is defining "next generation"? The terminology appears on more than one occasion. Are all current QD enabled displays next generation, or are the latest models now current generation? It makes a big difference to timelines.
When I did my dd before buying in here I remember forming the impression that solterra was not a near term objective. I think it must be covered in official filings.
There is a company that I mentioned previously which think its cracked that market - i.e. cheap mass produced barrier film
