we can remove Honeycomb from MOD right??? since he's leaving and all...
CUIN seems smart...honeycomb on the other hand...hes like my pmsing, irrational sister...
Sandman....I like it...another philadelphian in the room. I totally agree with all that you said. I know for a fact the two biggest hospitals in Philadelphia are well aware of titan and not huge fans of intuitive. ..
Let me rephrase. Not a robotics expert but a colo rectal expert who sees that robotic surgery is very important to the future of colo-rectal surgery. There are very few colo rectal docs doing robotics.
No point in arguing this...there's just a certain level of class and etiquette around disclosing/asking about one's financials. You just don't do it.
Surgeons are fickle...maybe he wasnt being offered enough money?? Maybe he had personal issues that limited his involvement? The likely answer is that he was expendable when they changed focus to the SPORT because the SPORT will not be able to perform Prostatectomies and partial nephrectomies. In addition, the dwindling urological procedures being performed with the da Vinci also suggests that having a urological doctor on board makes little sense. Perhaps the addition of Dr. Wolff, a colo rectal robotics expert, may speak volumes to this philosophy. Colo-rectal will be a huge target for SPORT.
By the way...its rude and ignorant to ask one's position or amount of shares. That is private financial information. Thats like asking me how much I make or how much money I have in the bank. You just dont do it unless you're good friends with someone or they are willing to reveal such information on their own. In the end, whether you have 30k shares or 1k shares, you are part of this.
Was Joe T developing the product? No...XIMEDICA and the surgeons are...beat it with this PEOPLE bring it to market crap...we all know who is BRINGING it to market...the people who use it and the professionals who develop it. Joe was there more as an advisor and trainer...
Joe T was never a true Executive...he was never in such a position at ISRG and he had no experience...he was brought on board to help guide along the project with intel/experience from the da Vinci...He was probably being phased out and he knew it, so he left with his shares in hand. Him leaving has no bearing on this project/product at all. No one will even know his name in due time. The other key note about Joe T and his experience is this...he was never at ISRG when they introduced the idea of single port surgery...he was way gone, so perhaps the change in focus from Amadeus to SPORT left him on the way side. Just food for thought. Again...you dont raise that much capital over night, you dont hire a star PR firm like Bertner's, and they havent missed any milestones...so why are you worried? All signs point up.
do us all a favor honeycomb...and dont come back until 8/15/2016....or some year way beyond that...youre a clueless blow hard. The only thing youve added to this board lately is unintentional comedic relief. It almost pains me to know that you could be potentially making a lot of money off of this with how irrational you are. TIA...........
grad school??? Nice parent! Youre only semi responsible for undergrad!! I had a personal goal of being a millionaire by age 30...Im short by two years, but I truly believe by 33-34, itll be a reality...With that being said...being a millionaire is nothing these days...you need MILLIONS, plural, to retire these days...I was so naive at 18...My generation is mostly screwed (as of now). The majority of my friends are Ivy League educated and are struggling majorly...massive debt, too many jobs to count, and many dont own homes yet. The choice to skip law school and go into medical device sales was the best choice I could have made. I've been very fortunate compared to my friends and I feel like this luck will continue with Titan. In a years time, we wont be arguing over milestones, lack of PR, and executives who have left...instead we will be arguing when this thing will be reaching highs above 20...possibly 30...and I will have a front row seat, watching this beautiful machine do it's thing in the OR...I cant wait...
I think Talarico left to follow the money....he has 100k shares in Titan...he will be a millionaire most likely and is now in a position with another company to do the same...This is UNBELIEVABLY common Med Device world. People go to Start ups to accumulate stock options, company gets bought, they sell shares and bam...big money. So common.
As for Bertner...you dont earn 20k a month by taking on dogs and having them fail on you....she is very well respected and gets to pick and choose who she works with...If she did this for just the money, she wouldnt be making a ton of money and would have a bad reputation. When youre this established you only take winners to fluff your rep and success rate. It would be illogical to take on a dog.
I'm trying to wrap my brain around what you are saying Cuin2 about executives leaving and what not and how this is negative for the company...It really isnt....if some of the key surgeons starting jumping ship I would be way more on red alert...Reasons why your thinking is imprudent...
1. Telerico leaves...ok...first and foremost the guy was never a true Executive...in addition, he probably left for a BIG time guarantee. Moreover, the dude exercised his 100k shares and DIDNT sell them at a high...what does this tell you? He's expecting bigger and better things...Clear sign for me that this thing is absolutely NOT in trouble.
2. VP, Execs, and other high level people in Medical Device field are ALWAYS shifting around...they follow the money ALL the time. Maybe MEDTECH offered him a similar deal. All Telerico needed at the end of the day was his Titan stock options. 100k shares at $20-30 pps is pretty sweet...IMO, he was probably being forced out because he added no value going forward bc I think Titan is going to partner with another company, thus making him useless. He was a field trainer at ISRG for godsake...Lets move on from this guy. He is super low level.
3. Titan secures two BIG investments in back to back months that gives them a large amount of capital. Investment firms aren't dumb...no way they raise this money that quick if things werent going well. Also, they raised this like 2 months before Telerico left...again, negative thoughts on this make no sense.
4. They hired a big time PR person in Bertner...no way is this lady attaching her name to a company that is going the wrong way. It just doesnt make sense.
honeycomb asserts such things because no one is listening to his jibberish any more and hes upset. Hes highly emotional (think about your wife the week before her period arrives) and his demands for information and news from Titan are comical. Im sure Hargrove and the lot at Titan are very disappointed in themselves for not having any new updates for you, Honeycomb. They are also very disappointed with me because I do not have any followers or more than 25 posts on iHub. I promise to work on this...if I could somehow be able to post more than 3 times a day!!! Damn limitations.
My fake insider news was merely an exercise to demonstrate to you all to avoid listening to such BS and focus on what is coming from Titan. Posilock and his "friend" have no idea whats going on. How many times over the last 6 months has info been leaked? NONE.
One thing I do believe that was stated earlier is that Titan is almost certainly recruiting surgeons for human trials. They will go to all of the major teaching institutions like UPenn, Duke, Mass General, etc. and look for friends to help them along. I have no idea when this will happen, but I do know that many things will have to be in place to do such trials...A. They would need multiple alpha robots (Perhaps these were already being built under our noses with that investment money from two months ago) B. They would need to initiate first phase of human trials on their own to make sure its totally safe and works before branching out to other institutions and C. They would need all of the proper instrumentation built to complete such trials.
One thought might be that they will go to multiple institutions and attempt to get approval for various specialties/procedures in one fell swoop. Go to Penn for General surgery, Duke for Colorectal, Mass General or Brigham for GYN etc....Would totally make sense. Just my two cents...
I have no news...but see how easy it is to generate bs buzz like that? Point of the exercise is, only titan knows what's going on...they will tell us in due time. It's all about milestones and 2015. Buy more if you have the chance.
No marital problems but this was all purchased with money that I owned prior to her and my prenup is at tight as its going to get!! I do document when I buy more with shared money...which is a bummer.
no....Never...cant stand that company.
If you only own 10k shares of titan and are hoping to become a millionaire, you're delusional. You're going to need to have way more than that my friend!! Ive got some insider information that I cannot share either...Its killing me, but I really want to tell you guys what I heard because its incredible news...I own 3 times what Posilock owns...I bought more bc of the news...
2 months...2 days...2 hours...Who gives a shit how long someone has been "contributing" to this forum. Ive been reading this forum for quite some time and only JUST started contributing after May 21st conference. I have 8 years of OR experience and like many other medical device reps and surgeons who contribute to this board, I find many of the long term contributors on here to be very negative, clueless about how medical device companies work through the approval phase/bringing a product to market, and simply overbearing zealots who really need to get a grip. Its all about MILESTONES people...not PR...PR gets you short term PPS growth that gets eaten away by all of the sellers. Until there is a big next step, this stock will sit. Get used to it, or like Lonari...go invest elsewhere in the mean time. We have a good year to a year and a half until this thing booms, unless they get bought sooner. Like Ive said many times...use this lull to stock up on more shares. This is a golden opportunity to strengthen your position on a bargain bin stock.
Do not believe what is spewed on cafe pharma....its a junk site.
No PR and holding at this price or slightly dropping are great for us...We know what we have in the long run, which is right around the corner. The fact that we still have the opportunity to get this stock at such a bargain is amazing. Take advantage of this stalemate and buy more. Im constantly adding bc I have time to!
I dont work for ISRG..............
Its actually one of the reason I said they would struggling against titan....hospitals are tired of them.
Not really sure what your deal is but youre coming as irrational and overbearing...do what makes you happy...Just giving my opinion.
What about the job and home? This is about the stock and the company...not me personally. What im gathering from your multitude of pointless posts is that your overzealous about this company, are not acknowledging the time lines and their significance to when this stock will really take off, and you dont understand the importance of not airing your R&D when taking on a beast like intuitive. In addition, you clearly do not understand how long is takes medical device companies to bring things to market. Learn to embrace this hospital term...hurry up and wait. Im only concerned w 2015. My lack of posts speaks volumes to when I actually knew when to chime in...This company is close...new developments and expedited milestones coupled with poinofreturn asking for industry input coaxed me into creating an account. Hopefully my 7 or so posts were slightly more informative snd impactful than the vast majority of your 1k plus posts. Get a grip, guy.
Thats your fault for getting in too early. Who cares what thr pps is right now....I only care what it is after they come to market or get bought...until then, who cares. Yiu take this way too personal
Why do you deserve better????? They were working on an advanced product that they didnt want their competitors to know about. Im glad they kept radio silence. You guys are delusional if you truly believe they care what you think. They care about developing the product at the end of the day. You woukd have to work in the medical device field to understand how cut throat and competitive this environment is. Companies are suing each other every day over IP and patent infringements.
Im in complete agreement w golf pro....I think some people have ulterior motives in here. Also, like you golf pro, ive been gifting shares to my nieces and nephews! Haha
I dont mind these dips at all....each time it allows me to buy more. If we want to ward off the dumpers, start telling everyone and anyone about the stock. I personally just starting telling people kjt out of my immediate circle bc I truly believe that this will explode. Right now we are very lucky that the stock is this cheap. Take advantage of it people. You msy rrgret not buying more if they sell for 20 a share.
These arms are very different. Titans are true snake arms while intuitives are still rigid, which prevents them reaching many areas in the abdomen.
The good doctor speaks of a procedure where the da vinci is most used...Myomectomies are abundant, however, quick question for you Robs911...with the smaller port size of the SPORT, how is this going to affect your removal of the fibroids??? With the FDA all but banning morcellation, this could pose as a potential issue for the SPORT, as it is already a major issue for the da Vinci...Right now I'm seeing the majority of GYN surgeons making a slightly larger incision once they are finished with the robot and removing the fibroids that way. Will this be possible with the port site being through the umbilicus? Not being able to use the robot for the vast majority of myomectomy procedures would be a downer for sure. I'd love your feedback on this.
my prediction for PPS if purchased would be around 20 bucks...
Itll be very interesting to see how things look over the next month, but I think they would be absolutely selling themselves short if they sold now. They arent even on the market and theyve got ISRG running scared...with the approval of yesterday's patent, they really put ISRG in a bind with development. There is literally nothing they can do now with their current technology to match the articulation of Titan's snake arms. As Urology said earlier, the single site technology that ISRG is currently pedaling is putrid. You actually have to criss cross their arms to operate and its a joke with the articulation. Not to mention, the port size is huge compared to the quarter sized entry that titan has.
Guys...I do apologize, but I simply do not know what I am talking about...please see below links. Do not pretend like you work or know people in the OR...I work in a da vinci robot case EVERY DAY. EVERY DAY. Im invested heavily in titan because I know the deficiencies of the ISRG robot. The Ace Harmonic and Enseal tools are made by JNJ and sold exclusively to Intuitive to attach to a robot arm. They do, in fact, work with each other. They share profits
Please review page three of the link below, which is directly from intuitives website catalog. you will kindly notice what I am talking about

Proofs? They dont publicly advertize these things...With that being said, two friends work for Intuitive and many friends work for Ethicon. If you cant beat em....join em. Royalties....
Trust me...they are working with Intuitive...I know for a fact they are currently helping them with their cautery and stapling devices, which intuitive is mightily struggling with. If you're JNJ....why wouldnt you work with them?? They are poised to lose millions if ISRG developed a truly legit stapler and continue to take away from their electrocautery business (Harmonic Scalpel).
First time posting here...first and foremost, please ignore that idiot's article. He's clueless simply based off the logic that Intuitive has been highly successful with only one product. Secondly, there have been a ton of M&As right now by medical device companies. I would not be surprised if they were bought or a large stake was purchased by a big company. JNJ will not be that company bc they are currently working with ISRG and are developing their own robot. Companies to keep an eye on would be Medtronic(recent purchase of Covidien), Baxter(recent split in company and lots of cash), Stryker, Bard(lots of cash) to name a few. BTW...I work in the OR as rep every day with the da Vinci robot.
