Agreed. Sounds a lot like a paid promo or another short scam like the one ran on Sigma Labs for the past few years.
Lot of sketchy activity trying to dismantle good money and profits.
Sad, but it doesn't surprise me, especially when Sigma Labs and PR3D have led to such tremendous profits.
And yes, "island scanning" is the opposite of what PR3D does, so I can see why NIST calls it ineffective and PR3D and IPQA the standard and most effective form of in situ inspection.
Great point.

Sigma Labs customer Lockheed Martin has a very large and advanced AM operation.
Will easily help along with other customers like Pratt and Whitney, Honeywell, Aerojet Rocketdyne, Woodward, Solar Turbines, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and others achieve a significant capture rate in their respective multi-hundred Billion dollar markets.
Very interesting they still need Sigma Labs PR3D after investing hundreds of millions into R&D within their own company, especially when they made this statement below,
"Machines should monitor and make adjustments on their own during printing to ensure that they create the right material properties during production.”In addition, Lockheed Martin’s research will also help such systems identify the optimal structures based on verified analysis, i.e., inspection, demonstration, test, and analysis."
Moreover, last year, the company invested $350 million in a state-of-the-art aerospace production facility, complete with industrial grade 3D printers and “virtual immersion environments.”

The PW4000 powers some Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 model aircraft. A division of United Technologies Corp (NYSE: UTX), Pratt & Whitney is a global leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft and helicopter engines and auxiliary power units (APUs).
The global aerospace and defense maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) market size was estimated at USD 111.68 billion in 2018 and is expected to expand at a CAGR of 5.4% from 2019 to 2025.
Sigma Labs positioned well with Pratt and Whitney customer to capture a significant portion of the MRO market. The standard 5% capture rate of this market would be substantial for Sigma Labs.
Not to mention Honeywell and other current customers also participate in the same market as newest customer Pratt and Whitney.

Which is why Lockheed, Aerojet Rocketdyne, GE, Solar Turbines, Woodward, Additive Industries, DMG MORI, Honeywell, DARPA, NIST, Ermaksan, Materialise, OERLIKON, ANSYS, and many others all turned to Sigma Labs and PR3D to solve their AM issues, and have ongoing contracts for production and advancement of their AM operations.
All these professionals found their previous methods needed PR3D and improved them with Sigma Labs software.

Acting as if the professionals in the field haven't thoroughly tested the AM process and understand how the physics work, is about as helpful as standing over the operating table of a brain surgeon and telling them what to do, imo
This feeble attempt to claim some sort of knowledge that the professionals haven't thought of yet seems amateur at best, imo
This is why I simply utilize due diligence and the scientific studies with the industry professionals unbiased accounts, in their own words, to find accurate accounts of the science behind the technology, imo
The early days of Sigma only consisted of the white paper studies. Understanding those directly correlated to the outcome of profits, by reading what the technology was capable of, and when it would come to fruition.
The next stages of the technology should be very fruitful, as projected by management and otherwise.
But, hopefully these worries can soon be addressed by an intern with the most basic understanding of AM to calm the nerves of those less educated on the matter imo.

Copy and pasting scientific study quotes and data that prove the AI and software works, seems counterproductive to the argument that it doesn't imo.
Lol.
The white papers and studies proving the science behind the technology works, implemented with the business strategy of targeting OEMs, standards development, and academia involved in furthering technology continues to solidify PR3D usage in the production world.
PR3D was never designed to replace CT, many discovered this is in the first 5 minutes of DD on Sigma Labs.
It is designed to compliment it and save big money by the ability to stop or alter production runs across a number of machines, while being machine agnostic.
The value of the software grows exponentially as the number of machines and parts per run increases, especially as machine learning becomes implemented.
Elimination of defects across a 1,000 part run would save hundreds, if not thousands of hours of print time, resulting in tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of operating costs.
The ROI on the technology is what makes it attractive as well, beyond the ability to inspect in real time.

Is there any proof available that shows AI doesn't work? Sigma Labs has multiple white papers out that prove the technology works efficiently and accurately.
multiple companies might need to be alerted in the AM sector alone imo.
Better call ANSYS, GE, Materialise, Honeywell, DARPA, NASA, DDD, and many many others, because they all utilize AI regularly.
Claiming AI doesn't work with no evidence sounds ridiculous on its face bc it is imo. IBM would be out of business.
Same with claiming Ruport and buyout schemes are in play when there's no evidence of it imo

That's not the point.. the point is the innovators of the industry are spending hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars on additive manufacturing.
Meaning, the companies that do utilize Sigma Labs will be forced to compete with these multibillion dollar corporations.
Meaning they will, and are currently also investing tens of millions and hundreds of millions into the am industry.
Even if these larger corporations don't use Sigma Labs technology, the majority of companies within the industry who don't have the large r&D and technology base to create their own software and hardware solutions, will need to purchase one.
Sigma Labs can provide that, especially considering they are partnered with oems like additive industries, DMG Mori, and Materialise.
So again, thank you for proving the point that there is a large portion of the market that will need a solution such as Printrite3D.

since basic math is the term of the day,
if an investor of sigma Labs had an average price around $2, and the price went to $5, $9, 4.50, and the investor had a modest investment built over multiple years of ~$50,000, selling portions at the above prices for 100%, 150%, and ~300% gains per sale,
they would have profits in the hundreds of thousands with shares to spare.
if they made these decisions based off due diligence and research, id consider them decent investors.
especially while all landing within, at worst, 14% away from their target sale price, with a majority being sold at or above their predicted fair sale price of a 50 M valuation.
almost like due diligence directly related to profits and the company hitting their expected targets and goals.

Even from the early days stated a 50 million dollar valuation was a good target price for sigma Labs.
Right now sitting at 40+ so I'd say my target was pretty damn close to a perfect prediction.
Visionary, if you will.
That was the only target I ever stated was a reasonable number with Sigma Labs current assets and technology.
Never advised a buy or sell above or below that, just that number was a fair price imo.
Turns out the market agreed and ran the long time 10-20 million dollar valuation sigma was at for years and pushed it to 40+,. Making sigma Labs a great investment.
People who bought before RS and never adjusted their investment made their own mistakes.
I don't control anything but my own, and my account hit +100k in the green on Sigma alone.
Due Diligence provided all the information needed.
My correct valuation of Sigma Labs provided the market value understanding and resulted in significant profits.

Hardly a "giant"
Sales of 14 million? Definitely not a giant.
