Thanks to both for proving my point exactly...
Regardless of Sigma labs affiliation with GE, it was an official announcement that GE is JUST NOW starting mro activity at the commercial scale.
Meaning, all of their competitors, who many of whom are Sigma Labs customers, will also be entering the commercial level of additive manufacturing, which we all know is where Sigma Labs technology provides the most value.
Sigma Labs relationship extended to Baker Hughes, who was owned by GE up until very recently.
And Sigma Labs current CEO was a GE employee as well.
So, again Sigma Labs continues to solidify their position in the additive manufacturing market, and has properly aligned themselves with the most high level of expertise in the field, and companies who are involved in the most advanced AM operations.
Thanks for the continued validation and counter points that prove the validity.

Sigma Labs customer and collaborator GE utilizing AM for aerospace MRO activity.
For all those claiming the industry moved on without Sigma Labs, here's proof the largest AM producer in the world is JUST NOW beginning to use AM for repairs at the commercial level.
Ie, every other company will follow suit and if they want to be efficient and ensure their parts, they will need a software like Sigma Labs IPQA, ie customers who use additive industries, dmg Mori, materialize, and many others.
Large market for Sigma Labs continues to grow with Sigma as the leader for IPQA technologies.
GE Aviation Singapore facility repairing engine parts at volume with metal additive manufacturing
Additive manufacturing is suitable for this application because components wear different during service and thus need a customised repair. By deploying GE Additive Concept Laser M2 machines, the company is typically said to halve the time it usually takes to repair aircraft parts. Already, GE AESS is using metal 3D printing to repair parts in GE Aviation’s CF6 engines – its best-selling commercial engine for wide body aircraft – and plans to roll out the technology for the repair of the CFM56 parts – the best-selling engine in commercial aviation history.
In applying the technology for the repairs of engine components, GE AESS has established an automated process to repair high-pressure compressor blade tips, which run at high speeds, tight tolerances and experience regular erosion that demands continuous repair and replacement. GE AESS believes it is the first MRO facility in the world to implement an approved additive repair for high pressure compressor airfoils.

In response to NASA’s requirement, Sigma labs provides passive in-situ process

Sigma Labs Expands In-Process Monitoring Product Capabilities into the Polymer 3D Printing Market
Company Receives Initial Order for Two PrintRite3D Systems
SANTA FE, NM – December 15, 2021 – Sigma Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ: SGLB) (“Sigma Labs”), a leading developer of quality assurance software to the commercial 3D printing industry, today announced that it has expanded its PrintRite3D® in-process quality assurance solution to support selective laser sintering (“SLS”) polymer manufacturing and received a purchase order for two PrintRite3D systems which have been shipped to the customer.
“Sigma Labs’ PrintRite3D in-process quality assurance system now provides a consistent way to monitor production real-time across 3D printers from different manufacturers, supporting different processes, and now multiple types of materials,” said Mark Ruport, President and CEO of Sigma Labs. “Sigma Labs believes this breakthrough will enable large global manufacturers to manage the quality and consistency of parts manufactured in-house, by contract manufacturers, and throughout their supply chain. Although at this stage the size of the market opportunity for Sigma is difficult to quantify, the initial order for two PrintRite3D systems is a fantastic first step into the polymer segment of the market and demonstrates the need to ensure the quality and consistency of 3D printed parts.”
SLS, a laser powder bed process, is an established technology with high material throughput, and functionality that aligns with production applications in regulated industries. The demand for Sigma Labs’ PrintRite3D technology comes from a need to support SLS customer production requirements and growing marketplace demand for real-time in-process quality assurance in additional material types. The enhanced PrintRite3D software will translate the in-process signatures from SLS radiated emissions, allowing for real-time monitoring of the polymer prints. This will provide end users and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with the ability to monitor production and to rapidly detect and identify anomalies and defects, delivering greatly improved quality assurance.
The industrial polymer market is estimated to be about 2.5 times the size of its metal equivalent, according to AMPOWER, one of the worldwide leading independent consultancies focusing on industrial Additive Manufacturing. Approximately 35% of the industrial polymer 3D printers are sold in the United States, with more than 50% of total revenue earned by powder bed fusion suppliers and is expected to grow seven-fold by 2025. Global Market Insights, a market research company, states, “3D printing polymers market share is being significantly propelled by the rising product adoption across myriad industries including healthcare, locomotive, automotive, and aviation.”

Sigma Labs secures another patent pertaining to the methodology and systemic hardware/software regarding in-process quality assurance.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING PROCESSES
This invention teaches a quality assurance system for additive manufacturing. This invention teaches a multi-sensor, real-time quality system including sensors, affiliated hardware, and data processing algorithms that are Lagrangian-Eulerian with respect to the reference frames of its associated input measurements. The quality system for Additive Manufacturing is capable of measuring true in-process state variables associated with an additive manufacturing process, i.e. those in-process variables that define a feasible process space within which the process is deemed nominal. The in-process state variables can also be correlated to the part structure or microstructure and can then be useful in identifying particular locations within the part likely to include defects.

Sigma Labs customer Aerojet Rocketdyne and Lockheed Martin selected by NASA for production of OME engines thru 2032
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 21, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NASA has selected Aerojet Rocketdyne to build the Orion Main Engine (OME), the primary propulsion element for NASA’s Orion spacecraft that will be used to explore deep space. Under the contract, which runs through 2032, Aerojet Rocketdyne will deliver up to 20 new OME engines for use on future Artemis missions beginning with Artemis VII, or to support other NASA-sponsored, deep space exploration missions.
The OME is a 6,000 pound-thrust bipropellant engine that is mounted on Orion’s European Service module and will be built at Aerojet Rocketdyne’s Los Angeles, California, and Redmond, Washington, facilities. The engine is used for major maneuvers in space, such as entering and departing lunar orbit, and in some mission abort scenarios. The first six Orion missions will use refurbished Orbital Maneuvering System engines (OMS-E) that were provided by Aerojet Rocketdyne for the space shuttle program.
“Having originally designed and developed the OMS-E for the shuttle program, Aerojet Rocketdyne understands the engine’s materials, manufacturing processes and thrust levels,” said Aerojet Rocketdyne CEO and President Eileen P. Drake. “Now we are able to incorporate modern manufacturing techniques to provide NASA with a reliable, flight-proven and affordable engine to propel the Orion spacecraft and return astronauts to the Moon. We understand this engine inside and out and are excited to develop its next generation in support of future Artemis missions.”
In addition to the main engine, Aerojet Rocketdyne also provides, under contract to Lockheed Martin, the auxiliary engines on Orion’s service module, reaction control thrusters on the crew module, OMS-E refurbishment services and the jettison motor on the spacecraft’s launch abort system. Orion’s auxiliary engines and reaction control thrusters are produced at Aerojet Rocketdyne’s facility in Redmond, Washington. The jettison motor is a combined effort of the company’s facilities in Orange, Virginia, and Huntsville, Alabama.
