What about net profit on these sales as that will be a big factor on if the stock is going to pop to even higher levels. Will we see a 10% NP on this which would be $1.5 mil? I hope they don't do another capital raise or stock dilution as that will not help us one bit with 350 million shares fully diluted.
Good point but its my understanding that they are looking to get away from the leasing just like SCTY has stated for their business model recently? Everyone seems to be listening to what James and SLTD was saying all along.
Thanks. Then why does VSLR have such a high market cap as their sales are not that much larger than this and they are unprofitable? Can SLTD come up to a $300 million valuation or is it going to take an up listing to the NASDAQ or NYSE to get them there? I'm scratching my head as SLTD (Sunworks) is one of the few solar installers that actually makes money. Based off the numbers you just stated, I'm actually surprised that the company is not at least worth $150 million market cap or around 50 cents per share right now?
I like it if it's true. Where did you get this info and is the company/CEO estimating over 10 million and profitable? You are correct that .35 if not .40. I'm looking for real guidance from the company and not just hope from guys like us?
Can someone please tell me what SLTD's 3rd quarter earnings estimates are supposed to be? Is there any chance Sunworks will do sales $10 million or more for the quarter with $1 million in profit or more? SLTD's CEO responded to my e-mail and says that earning are announced 45 days from the close of quarter almost like clock work every time. I want to and make sure and buy before this announcement but I don't think I saw any guidance from James the CEO last quarter.
You just need to look at companies such as SPLK and DATA to understand that this is possible. They both do about $400 million in annual sales and growing but lose money every quarter. SPLK is nearing a $8 billion market cap and Data is around 5.5 billion without one quarter of profitability. Granted these two companies have quite a bit of cash in the bank to sustain these losses for awhile. ANY needs $5 million in Glassware sales for Q3 and 7 to $8 million in GW for Q4 with OVRL sales staying constant or growing a little. If this happens we should see a $1 billion market cap relatively quickly which will put the stock at around $30 post merger which isn't to shabby compared with today's share price.
Potential short squeeze is about to happen if earnings and guidance are good after the close today Could see it climb to $25 over the next 2 weeks if this happens which very well could happen today. Short interest is very high and they will be forced to sell with new buyers driving the stock up.
Interesting point. I use TD Ameritrade and I'm not sure they will let me do that. I have a limit AON order for 50k shares at.175 right now and I'm not sure I will get filled with it being an all or none order. I like the idea of being able to place an order and maybe get it filled in three or four transactions for one flat rate. Anyone else here use TD Ameritrade and know if they offer the same deal as Scottrade? I guess I can call them up and find out?
Got it. Thanks.
Yes. Please do. I like this stock a ton but I'm still scratching my head on a few things. Also, Is it easy to get filled on 40,000 shares or more at or a little above the bid as I'm really have trouble getting filled here and I prefer not to buy at the ask.
Great post but how are they going to make an acquisition with no money in the bank? Are they going to dilute the stock even beyond the 350 million shares fully diluted right now. I like this company and their CEO but what they really need to do is get to the NASDAQ or NYSE so they can get institutional money and possibly make this a multi-billion market cap stock. They are setting themselves up for what appears to be a 5 up to 10-1 reverse stock split and making another acquisition with mostly stock does not make much sense to me. They have great things happening right now and over extending with another near term acquisition is not the best play in my opinion.
I have to admit that Teq is highly controversial and has some real issues. The last time I checked we are all Long, on the same team and want the same outcome. Why you have to bring so much drama to the table I'm not sure. I want Natcore to go to $10 or more quickly so we all win big. Why do you have to argue and put down everyone who technically are on your team? I'm scratching my head here as all Mac is doing is defending the rest of us. This is not a Harvard MBA board so maybe you should be the one to try another board instead of us.
I think Chuck and management understand this and will offer a very sweet deal just to get some revenue flowing. The bigger problem is do they have a product that will work and commercially launch. Will this latest project with Germany and China pan out. If they can launch with 20% savings and reasonable efficiency, I think the stock will double in a week. If they can sign a deal and get some revenue at the same time it will triple within a month. Remember that they are only around a 20 million market cap so tripling would put the stock at 1.20 and a $60 million market cap which isn't much. This is what we need to happen. Its pretty much all or nothing proposition right now because if they don't launch this thing will sink to 20 if not 10 cents per share very quickly.
Mensplus, I think Silverline's point is that you should present fact and not fiction as fraud is not legal in the US or Canada. Sphere 3D is a NASDAQ company and have very serious regulations with this status. Just because Sphere has not worked with ZDnet like Derek would like them to doesn't mean that they are not credible and have the product they claim they do. Derek should not be able to spread false rumors about Sphere unless he has proof that this is the case. So from that point of view Silverline and others have every right to tell Derek or yourself to get out as there is no place for outright fraud in the game of NASDAQ or NYSE stocks on this or any other board.
Progressive, Let's be clear on a few things. Anyone who owns a small company can call themselves a VP of Business Development, CEO, Chairman of the Board etc... So a company can have one or 2 employees and have one of them call themselves CEO and the other VP of Business Development. I have started several companies with just myself and one other person and I have chosen to call myself VP of Business Development or Sales as it sometimes makes the company sound more credible than calling yourself CEO or Chairman of the Board of a very tiny company. In Derek's case there is no way of telling how big his company is as his website doesn't give us much info or list any of Senior Management. We do know that he was a sales representative for VMware for awhile before he started his own company. Although he does have some good points, my guess is that he is very threatened by Sphere 3D how they might effect his current business model moving forward. At the same time I would think there is some type of value proposition for him with the Shorts as it doesn't make sense for him to dig in this deep if there wasn't.
I agree with you even though I've owned the stock for a little over 3 weeks, we need some good news and we need it quick. I have been following SLTD and its not a bad play. However; they have 350 million shares fully diluted and they already went on a big run. At least they have some revenue coming in which is a good thing. We need some good news from Chuck now at NTCXF. Be careful with your comments or this as this guy Teq will rip you good. I guess he doesn't realize that this is a discussion board and part of a discussion is pointing out some negatives.
Thank you as that helps and makes sense. The real issue for someone like me is do I double down at these low prices (which may mean some margin) or do I stick with what I have. Tough call.
Good answer and I appreciate your insight. I hope this turns around quick as these shorts are very irritating to say the least.
You and a few others seem to be the most respected posters on this board. My question to you and others is why can't ANY release their projected earnings for glassware sales in addition to promoting any contracts for revenue they may have signed for GW only? I can't see how the competition would come in and try and buy Overland based off that kind of info for GW or Sphere only sales post merger. I'm down over 32% on my 6000 shares and I'm starting to get very tired of losing! I feel that management is making some tactical mistakes on behalf of the shareholders. For someone like you and the others that are in under $2 that may be fine but for investors such as myself that are well above $8, this really hurts. I'm not selling but I'm just trying to understand the thought process of ANY's management team and Peter T.
Now what Teq? I guess we as investors have to accept reality at these prices according to you and take our bruises. Please!
I'm long with an average price of 8.25 and I'm trying my best to be patient here. I believe in ANY and their future. What I can't understand is how you can say "management is executing". I think Peter T and the rest are highly competent but they do have a fiduciary responsibility to us the shareholder. I think they are doing a poor job of executing in general right now as they are not protecting us one iota IMO. There are many things they could be doing and they are not doing it. I'm not sure why they would place a self imposed quiet period on themselves at this time. I think this will turn around but its extremely concerning for those of us who jumped in at higher levels within the game. Long all the way but I don't feel management is executing to its full extent right now.
OK Teq. You got your words out. Its really not worth arguing over as you are who you are. Go NTCXF!
I agree with everything that you said Mac and I will try and be patient. As for Teq, I'm not sure I like his attitude as he seems very pompous and arrogant. He does know his stuff when it comes to Natcore but whats the point if your such a pain in everyone's side.
Agreed but the company needs to do much more from a stock PR perspective. I know their trying but they probably need to hire a better firm and get the word out to some quality institutions. It's managements job to get this done on behalf of us shareholders.
It amazes me at how dead this board is. This stock has tremendous potential to double if not triple over the next 9 months based on their earnings estimates and backlog alons. Its amazing how much more play their competition (to a certain extent) FCEL and PLUG get. No better time to accumulate shares than now (at around $15) as I highly doubt the shares will go much lower than this. If it does go lower it will bounce back in a big way once quarterly earnings are announced in early November.
Didn't expect this type of drop to 46 cents. Chuck needs to give an update to the market / press release to stop the bleeding. Great time to accumulate if you have the funds but not great if they plan on raising more money as the dilution will be gigantic. They need to launch black solar and get a licensing deal done ASAP with the Chinese!
This is ridiculous Truth. I'm a premium prescriber to Bill Mathews of The Cheap Investor newsletter and this is his number one pick. I'm thinking about dropping him for good as this is his number one pick right now. Newsletter's don't always work but he has done pretty well over the last 10 years. He said was putting his reputation on the line with NENE and that sure seems to be the case in a negative way. I guess we'll see what happens.
OK Truth. Fair enough. I hope they come out with some decent news soon so this doesn't head back to 1.20. Sorry but I'm a little irritated with management right now!
Its already happened. I don't know if its all Mr Rayat but the perception of it taking place is in play. This is very disheartening as I really thought the stock may clear $2.00 again. Once it hopefully clears 1.80 again I'm clearing out for good and not coming back. This manipulation is ridiculous and its not worth the stress. Plenty of other money making plays out there.
It doesn't get much better than this from a share pricing perspective. Price of gold went down because of the jobs report which strengthened the US dollar. This is a great entry point for anyone who wants to play gold mining stocks. It may dip a little more for even a better entry point but when gold turns around and heads north again (which it inevitably will) SA should triple. The other play I really like is AKG as they should be producing 400,000oz of gold staring in early 2016. Both SA and AKG are great buys and will go up significantly if gold can rebound to $1,300 again within the next 6 months. There's always risk with any gold mining stocks but the rewards can be huge if you get in at the right time!
I hope you're right! For those of us who bought and hold a sizeable amount in the mid 8's this has been a bumpy ride. I will know better next time around.
Bought some at 51 cents today. I guess I'll try and buy more at 49 cents or less tomorrow and average down. Hoping for some great news, contracts, commercial launch, revenue etc.... within a month or even weeks. I'm going to load the boat so I sure hope it doesn't sink.
Sorry as I meant to say 6 million shares and 6 million warrants for a total of 12 million shares fully diluted.
A little concerned about dilution as I'm sure a new capital raise is coming soon. Do I wait to buy lets say 50,000 shares until this dilution takes place or do I buy now? The other option is that I can try to participate in the new capital raise with let's say 25k. Your thoughts on this Teq as I don't want to miss a great opportunity at this valuation or less? The real concern is if they offer another 12 million shares at lets say 45 cents with warrants for 3 years at let's say 53 cents for this new capital raise. This will dilute the shares up to around 75 million fully diluted which I have a few concerns with. Please let me know what you think Teq?
Thanks Don as I've already read this several times. Chuck has also updated these numbers to much higher revenues based on annual solar GW according to his latest newsletter. What I'm referring to is the actual gross margin which I would assume is at least 90% in addition to the net margin before and after taxes as this will have a huge impact on the valuation moving forward. We are talking about a finite market of around 1.5 billion in sales with these two products if they attain 20% of the market like Chuck has said in their Pro-Forma. If they were to achieve this 1.5 billion I'm trying to get an idea of how much money they will make at these levels. If the profit is high the company will be worth that much more. This is not like a SCTY or TSLA where much larger numbers are in play. Now when they release their other products 2 or 3 years down the road this market will expand of course.
Can you also tell me the gross margin. Is this like software margins where we will see 80 to 90% gross margin on these two products?
Can you please tell me what the expected net revenue is as you seem to know this company better than most. Net rev could effect the valuation in a big way if the margins are high. This Pro-Forma is Gross rev so what is Chuck saying the net margin will be for both of these core products?
I like your positive outlook Windsor but that may be a little aggressive. They still need a much larger prototype in addition to testing the product on an actual skyscraper. If they announce these two things then I think $4 to $5 is within reach quickly. It's really contingent on new positive developments as I'm not sure the stock will sky rocket much further just based on showing it to Congress. However; Today was great start and us longs will take it in stride.
This wasn't the news I was looking for but I guess its better than nothing. Come on NENE, We need something better than this!
You make some good points but FS did buy TetraSun last year which puts them in the Silicon business. These new modules are supposed to launch right about now. They are still the big Kahuna and I'm sure they would like to slow down NTC at a minimum once they launch commercially. It will be a threat to their number one position in solar if they don't and purchasing NTC would stop the Chinese from reducing their cost by over 20%. Either way its a educated guess but very probable in my opinion.
