Brilliant! This is an excellent, unexpected (by me at least) press release. Congrats to P Chan, June, and team. This demonstrates how important it is to have a CEO who truly understands the science, and medical nuances of this new technology. Strategically significant moves on the path to expanded cytosorb application and FDA approval!

Smart insight into loan related headaches.
Thank you Boston745
Boston745, I found another piece of the compensation puzzle I've been wondering about in case of BO:
Amedica Form 10K
For the fiscal year ended December 31, 2015
11. Commitments and Contingencies
The Company has executed agreements with certain executive officers of the Company which, upon the occurrence of certain events related to a change in control, call for payments to the executives up to three times their annual salary and accelerated vesting of previously granted stock options.
Thanks Boston745, I wasn't paying attention to the 911K. 911K times X. I agree with the SP/valuation estimate difficulty. If/when BO occurs Sonny's reward would then come largely from some percentage of these shares. Are you expecting more shares to be authorized near term?
Glta
Boston745, Interesting to learn about Sonny's earlier investment. How do you think his "payday" would be formulated in a BO? Do you think his interests will be fully in line with maximizing share price?
glta
Thanks for the reply MBDough. Not simple enough for me! Can't say I have a feel for a L2 ask at .41 when the sp sits at .31 but your analysis is v interesting. You are sounding confident that a bottom has been put in. Hope so!
glta
Hi makingbiigdough
why do you think "lining up in the 40's" occurs? is this selling into a brief spike or buying on transformative BO news?.
glta
Thank you CL101,
Fantastic resource you've created here..
Boston745 too..
Glta,
Boston, CL, Thanks for the great discussion, and informative posts!

good to know!
Thanks Andy55q,
They waited until multiple organ failure.. I wonder why they defined this as early use of Cytosorb?
Best,
Thanks Jamis,
A revelation that our q dots within BOE's amqled would be significant indeed.. Are those our new blues?? I would love to see this. Wouldn't it be great if we could get glimpse of QDX brand taking hold? But as prototypes--who knows--BOE could have qds coming from many sources in small batches for testing and prototyping. I think we all know QMC is driving toward the r2r production line contracts when they come and THAT would be the transformative moment for us. I think AMQLED is really exciting. But as far as BOE pr's, I assume they are focused on war with Samsung, and carving a footprint in the industry for amqled, and probably not too concerned about promoting their potential qd suppliers. IMO
Best to all,
Tightness with Uniglobe Kisco at SID pretty much assures that QMC will not be controlling PR releases, imo. The good news is that this partnership has sustained and deepened. As Chessmite has reminded,it now weaves SCIVAX into the formula. We are still the very small fish, but growing in strength, partnerships, collaborations it appears.
This last pr was related to controllable QMC news. The rest we have to continue to wait for...
Good post stealthways,
my habit is to hunt for that elusive revenue turnaround, but I think you are right--the disconnect between near term revenue potential, and the value of this technology to the industry, is extreme. Near term, "the value is all in the tech"
glta
Boston745, indeed, looking forward to news of a 20% sales jump!

Boston, indeed, looking forward to news of a 20% sales jump!

Thanks Futur3s. Insufficient data for generating sales is a concern, and I'm sure a high priority for the Sonny and team. It would be great if you can continue to share that story with the board.
Best of luck to all with all the unknowns..
Hi Futur3,
Welcome.
Does your cousin use AMDA spinal products? If not, why? Is he or his surgical department in active conversation with Dana? Again, if not, why?
Thanks,
Totally agree Jacquescode. Chan is executing. This is a window of opportunity for investors that won't be open forever.
Best
Thanks Dockzf,
I think soft imprint lithography, mentioned in your paper, is a R2R process, therefore high volume. High density QD in R2R printing process sounds very good.

Austin,
Thanks for sacrificing your evening! Great write-up. So valuable to get first-hand impression. Some new interesting tidbits too.
Good night!
Austin, A writeup of the meeting... looking forward. Much appreciated in advance!
Looking for a cannon shot heard around the world tomorrow in the war on Alzheimer's!
Best of luck to the good Dr. Alkon, Alzheimer's suffers (present and future), and loyal investors...
Much appreciated Dockzef! Yes, diagram was very helpful.
Best,
THIS IS HUGE IMO!
Dockzef, I'm always interested in your take on things, but lack your technical fluency.
Would you mind sharing a few more sentences on the broader significance of this? or how this innovation might further unfold?
Best,
Boston 745, Thank you for posting the WIPO document!
Nice, concise, QD color gamut explication in this series of posts
Go Solartech!
Great find Jamis1,
Nice, balanced, first-hand narrative from someone we'll hopefully keep hearing from in the future.
Best,
QD ex, I agree the BOE Medical connection is potentially very interesting, but be aware that Changdu, is not the same city as Changde where QMA will locate one of the QD research/production centers. Easy to overlook with less than perfect translation apps.
Best,
in Reference to Samsung, with an investment in branding "QLED":
Quantum dot TV tech works by placing a layer or film of quantum dots in front of a regular LED backlight panel. The layer is made up of tiny particles each of which emits its own individual colour depending on its size (anywhere between 2 and 10 nanometers). Basically, the size of the particle dictates the wavelength of light that it emits, hence the different colours. Samsung boasts that quantum dots enable over a billion colours.
BOE says in relation to QLED:
QLED stands for “Quantum Dot Light-Emitting Diode”. It has quantum film and its light-emitting layer is made of quantum dots instead of
phosphor as in conventional LED.
QLED is referring to different things depending on which company is talking.
Thanks trevorbc. This describes electro luminesce of blue qdot backplane with photo luminesce of red and green-- if im not mistaken. A kind of qdot hybrid. But qdot all the way. Some confusions exist in the label/logo QLED.
Jamis, Interesting,
it appears not to be the BOE's AMQLED to me, but a quantum layer innovation on the way qd film functions currently. In any case it also speaks to BOE's ambition to control patent rights. The QDs here are potentially made from 19 different materials! Also if this is not based on glass--I assume it is flexible in nature--and produced by high speed printing process on film layers. This would be a big step forward in photo--luminescent qd display. Always curious to hear from the truly technically gifted among us..
glta
K, sounds to me like red and green qd production is going full tilt.
glta
I think BOE will push amqled display tech hard. I think it will end up in next gen products in the not to distant future. I think this is highly competive to Samsung, others. I also think two QMA QD production/research facilities will be built in China. Steve confirmed QMC and BOE are working together. BOE and QMA are linked through chinese business development funding sources. No guarantees that BOE has ever touched a QMC quantum dot or will work with QMA in the future--but increasing reason to believe they have and will!
Meanwhile it appears that there are several customers hot after qdot film..
Glta
Jamis, here is another article from China putting amqled in the context of other technologies and emphasizing how important this new technology is to BOE because it is not constrained by foreign patents.
This could become the defining technology for china to really take possession of the display future. "the product is the Ministry of science and technology BOE state key development program "quantum dot light emitting display project" Research on key materials and devices research results."
But yes, to your question someone is producing blue--but perhaps not fully up to production standards--yet.
The timing of amqled from BOE and the QMA facilities is super exciting.
amqled Bestofchinanews
There is really very little information regarding amqled out there currently--but I think that will rapidly begin changing.
Agreed!
Hopefully we'll be hearing alot more about amqled. Is BOE closing the gap with Samsung?
Interesting day. Nicely done Steve.
