For Tweed jacket, Bruce loving investors, you should heed his warning and cash in all your Canadian weed stocks, and take your money back too American cannabis companies, you all have listened to him from the Beginning, no reason too doubt him now. This interview is the "Triggering event" Say goodbye to Canadian weed stocks in your portfolio, listen too your Master Bruce Linton Almighty.
Huge dose of reality for shareholders, Way to much supply and nearly no demand, Sector is destroyed in Canada, Federally legal US government industry will be no different, US right now is the wild West like BC BUD was 20 years ago before Government involvement, and fat wallet weed funds.
In just a year after Canada’s historic pot legalization, pot producers built up a massive surplus of pot. In fact, only 4% of pot produced in Canada in July has been sold!
The rest is being stored in warehouses... just like crops during the Great Depression.
For much of the past century, laws held back pot production like a dam holds back a river. But Canada threw those floodgates wide open, and the market was flooded with millions of kilos of pot.
Now there’s more pot in Canada than folks will probably ever need. And it’s only getting worse.
Pot Producers Are Painting Themselves into a Corner
Have you read the news about cannabis producers lately?
All they seem to talk about is “increasing production capacity.” Is growing more pot the answer?
Well, when there’s too much product on the market, you want to offer the best price, so buyers choose to do business with you instead of other sellers.
Pot producers are now falling over themselves to ramp up their production capacity, which would push their costs and, in turn, pot prices down.
Aurora Cannabis plans to expand its production capacity from 150,000 to 500,000 kilos per year by mid-2020. Canopy Growth is also on track to produce 500,000 kilos of pot per year.
Think about it… you could roll over 4 billion joints with the pot from these two companies alone. And many more pot producers will have the capacity to produce millions of kilos of pot in a year from now.
The thing is, the market doesn’t need millions of kilos of pot. Pot producers are already making more pot than can ever be smoked.
Investors Can’t Get Enough of Aurora Cannabis (ACB)
Aurora Cannabis is Canada’s largest cannabis producer and one of the most popular pot stocks on earth.
In fact, this stock has recently topped Apple as the favorite stock among American Millennials, according to Business Insider.
Like most pot stocks, Aurora Cannabis has taken a beating and crashed over 50% since the beginning of the year:
As I mentioned earlier, most folks think this is a good buying opportunity. I think you’d have to be nuts to touch this stock right now.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets cut in half again.
Aurora Cannabis Is Building “Ghost Greenhouses”
Aurora Cannabis is losing an outrageous amount of money, and the losses are growing by the day. In Q3 2019, the company lost $160 million… that’s 8X more than a year ago.
The company is investing millions into new farms and greenhouses spanning millions of square meters… most of which are simply unused.
In Q3 2019, Aurora Cannabis grew only 15,600 kilos of pot, which means it utilizes only 1/3 of its facilities. And as I mentioned before, it plans to expand 7X by 2020.
A Dirty Secret Behind “Strong Revenue”
And here’s the key…
If you look at Aurora Cannabis’s most recent financial report, you’ll see its revenue grew 52% in the last fiscal quarter, compared to the previous quarter.
That sounds good… but it’s hiding a dirty secret.
Aurora Cannabis is actually dumping part of its harvest into “wholesale,” which means it is selling it for cheap… according to a line buried deep in the company's Q4 financials.
Last fiscal quarter, the company dumped $20 million worth of pot, a 869% increase from the previous quarter. It is doing this because there’s not enough demand from consumers.
I expect this trend to grow as pot companies continue to ramp up production and flood the market with more pot.
My recommendation: Stay away from Aurora Cannabis and other big pot producers. The pot party is over. There are better and safer ways to earn profit in the stock market.

If this is close to being a true number, then they are spending 100's of millions of dollars on farm equipment, Does anyone know how much it will cost too farm 5000 acres, Bing, Bang, Boom, your a farmer, LMAO
Again you know nothing about Cannabis and its history in Canada, If you think Tweed owns any of their genetics, or is the first to grow "Bakerstreet" you know nothing. Understand their are 100's of Breeders and seed companies in Canada and the US, that have been breeding and stabilizing all these strains for decades. Do you know their are over 4000 mapped Cannabis genetics? the entire Canadian and US legal Government schemes access less then 1% of all these genetics, The OCS has 1 seed strain available, that seed is 0ne of the original 22 strains The Tweed Twins Bruce and Chucky boy extorted from medical growers along with Threats of arrest from Health Canada, Contrary to what you believe, Bruce was a criminal.

Why do you continue to misinform investors on CGC's performance, and give ridicules speculation on Growth, when this company has burned through all the profit on your investment and soon will be digging at your original shares. Please Stop speaking about cannabis that you do not know or understand. Tweed has proven time and time again, that they are the weakest, least performing company in the sector, They are literally selling moldy cannabis, I would be very worried using their products.

OK now I get your lines, when the angled line meets the flatline its like a diving board, but the pool is empty, only a short fall face first into concrete, ya I can picture it.
Thanks for this, Tweed is prohibited from doing business in the US until federal regulation, which means they are violating the Cannabis act, and any legal US settlements would be deemed illegal cannabis proceeds thus putting their legal licenses in jeopardy here in Canada, this is actions of a desperate Corrupt corporation, and when Health Canada finds out the money will be seized, the hole just keeps sucking CGC deeper and deeper down. The more Constellation interferes the worse it will get, not wise to mess with your regulators The Canadian Government, or business will cease and licenses revoked.
I can not understand how any investor can Pump this Corporate ditch weed company, When all the facts, and truths point to them as having the worst quality products, and the most incompetent employed business in the sector.
this is what happens when you leave it too CGC/Tweed.
Cape Breton man not nuts over near purchase at Sydney River NSLC
a customer came into the Sydney River store and requested two one-gram packages of a product called Houndstooth, which is a Tweed product from Canopy Growth of Smith Falls, Ont.
“The package size he requested was one gram, so he ordered two packages.”
When the employee picked up the product it felt unusually heavy and when she shook it, there was a rattle. Ware said the employee put the package aside and got another one for the customer. After the customer paid for his purchases, the employee opened the package in question.
“She found several bolts and a washer inside the package,” Ware said. “That’s what was making the noise.”
Ware said cannabis products are sealed at the licensed producer’s facility. The product is never opened by the NSLC, it remains sealed until the customer purchases it and then opens it.
The NSLC has contacted Canopy Growth, so the company is aware of the issue and is dealing with it, she said.
All of NSLC’s cannabis products come from federally licensed producers and their production is under strict federal regulations.
“We’re working with Canopy to investigate this situation and to identify the root cause and of course to prevent any future occurrences of this,” she stated.

How did that work for Ya? All investors that announce their buys first thing in the morning only to lose what they have put in by days end, should have to state how much shares they bought so we all know exactly how much they lost, as I don't believe the millions they claim of profit they continue to show no proof of.
Yep still open, still have 2 valid grow licenses, and still don't spend canadian change on Government weed, all thing you said I would lose years ago, Actually my grow cycles are so consistent, I only bought once at my club last year, and only Hash for a treat, which will be a cannabis product that not 1 Canadian weed company will offer.
I have said it many time, you can't scale and scale cannabis and grow quality product, Rule of thumb, for every 100,000 sq ft you expand, you double your pest and mold problems, better to have 30 smaller manageable sites then 2 mega Greenhouses that can't produce quality product.
LOL you got a check for $400,000 for me? I'll get right on that. problem is investors know nothing about the process, the laws and the strict Prohibitions that make it impossible for small business too enter this market. they changed the licensing process 2 months ago and now before any application can be submitted build outs must be complete, sure people are buying Tweeds moldy crap, because the real BC Bud growers of decades past are excluded from the Government sanctioned monopoly for having no money.
Just something to think about, this poor quality weed is what will be going into edibles, beverages, and vape product, the only way to really know what you are consuming is to buy the genetics direct from the breeder and grow it yourself, any other way increases your risk including BM.
Lets put it this way, if Ferrari was making pinto's, they would be profitless, If Amazon broke all their orders and charged too much, it would be profitless.
So stands to reason that Tweed, no matter who owns them, selling moldy Bakerstreet, would be profitless as well.

BC man finds a pencil instead of pot in legally purchased prerolled joint
No matter how funny this story is, this shows how much of a failure legal weed is in Canada. FYI Canopy Rivers just paid $10 million dollars of your investment money to this exact company for them to continue selling garbage to Canadian Cannabis users, Why are you people giving your investment money to this incompetent failure.
The joint was purchased at Hobo Cannabis in Kelowna, BC, for $6.92 and made by licensed cannabis producer TerrAscend under the company’s “Haven St.” brand cannabis.
Graham was able to exchange his purchase at Hobo Cannabis for a prerolled joint with actual marijuana and the store’s parent company Donnelly Group provided the following statement to NowMedia.
"All products in the Canadian adult-use market is produced, packaged and shipped by the licensed producer to the provincial distributor, making this a matter for the licensed producer and BCRB. Cannabis stores are the end link in a long supply chain,” said Harrison Stoker, VP of Brand and Culture with Donnelly Group.
“Federal and Provincial regulations specifically prohibit retailers from quality assuring products, and state that everything must remain sealed in its original packaging. Hobo has issued an exchange to the customer, and has initiated communications to the BCRB and LP to get this matter sorted out."
ccording to BC Liquor Distribution branch, this incident is the first of its kind reported in BC.
“We received the complaint and immediately got in contact with the licensed producer, LP's are responsible for quality assurance,” said Kate Bilney, Senior Communications Officer with BC Liquor Distribution branch.
“They assured us that they believe it's an isolated instance and they are undertaking a full investigation to determine how it occurred.”

Damm close to the $2 I said a week after IPO, hows that for speculating, I also said investors were invested in a Government sanctioned weed scheme, Well I was correct, its proved too be a failed Government sanctioned monopoly.

Feds' foot-dragging over cannabis edibles will delay sales, says producer
“It’s been a gong show with Health Canada,” said Churchill.
The candy maker said he was told by federal officials they would seek to expedite his approval process if he could prove he was ready to produce edibles and meet standards, but that hasn’t happened.
“They haven’t been proactive about doing anything ahead of any deadline, they’re not reviewing anything until it’s legal (on Oct. 17),” he said.
“If we got approval, we could turn on the equipment the same day.”
Starting Oct. 17, Health Canada has said it will accept from would-be edibles producers a list of products they intend to make and sell over a 60-day period before granting a final approval.
Churchill said that would include a review of a producers’ choice of packaging, a process that could severely set back delivering a finished product.
“Then there’s the process of getting it approved by Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) and getting excise stamps,” he said.
“People have been realizing over the past 12 months just how restrictive the process is going to be.”
Last week, a spokeswoman with the AGLC said they’ve heard little from Health Canada on how the derivatives phase of cannabis legalization will roll out.
“We’re still waiting, we don’t know what their role in enforcement is — there’s nothing solid, even for anything on products,” said Chara Goodings.
“The earliest someone could possibly have something to sell is December, and that’s not likely either.”
Another AGLC official said they expect “updates in the coming weeks.”
Cannabis edibles and a wide variety of other derivatives and concentrates have long been readily available on the black market, including on numerous openly operating illicit websites.
Some of those in the legal industry say they’re hamstrung due to regulation, and the sooner they can begin competing with the illegal sector, the quicker they can realize cash flow and undermine it.
They also say the advent of legal derivatives will greatly expand their market by appealing to non-smokers.
Health Canada has been working closely with provincial regulators and the cannabis sector to keep them abreast of developments in the next phase of legalization, said spokeswoman Tammy Jabeau.
“Health Canada has provided extensive guidance to the regulated industry and to all provincial and territorial partners on the new regulatory requirements,” Jarbeau said in a statement.
The ministry, she said, engages those partners in regular teleconferences to share information and answer questions about that next step.
Strictly observed regulations that include the approval process are needed to protect the public and deter the black market, said Jarbeau.
“The expert Task Force on Cannabis Regulation recommended that the legal sale of a broad range of cannabis products be permitted in order to displace the illegal market while at the same time subjecting the products to strict regulatory control to mitigate risks and harms,” she stated.

Canadian regulators put short sellers on notice over abusive practices
"Activist short selling has been on the rise in Canadian markets in the past few years, with some prominent short sellers using social media outlets such as Twitter to publicize their positions and amplify their views. This has added a new dimension to the friction between investors seeking growth and those who borrow shares in a bet the price will fall so they can profit from the difference when they return the shares".
"Social media use is an area of increasing focus for regulators, and the CSA is also zeroing in on social media posts that describe early-stage plans with “unwarranted certainty” or make unsupported assertions about the growth of markets or demand for a certain product".

Buy on news that won't show any results for a year or two.
Meanwhile back in Canada, where CGC is legal, cannabis users are not buying Government sanctioned weed. LP's are in danger of being crushed by their increasingly Glut of inventory. If Tweed has 20% of legal market share, and the legal cannabis market has only 20% of the entire Canadian cannabis market, well less then 2% of the weed market is all CGC has period, end of story, Buy away !!
Canada ‘falling woefully short’ of displacing illicit cannabis market, researcher says
Canada’s regulated cannabis sales accounted for only 14% of total demand by volume in June, according to a new analysis by market researcher TheCannalysts.
https://mjbizdaily.com/canada-falling-woefully-short-of-displacing-illicit-cannabis-market-researcher-says/?fbclid=IwAR0ezgEfd7KyD0lOH2ZejRDnn5d0GGoEbx2wXeIOM98S5-h11I4dZvaRwqg
I realize that is the fantasy and speculation of investors here, which is all based on hopes not facts. Facts are the exact same issues and problems with Canada's legal weed industry, are prevalent in the USA's
legal system, pesticides, vaping deaths, over supply of oils and concentrates, (because of low sales), and Flower supply shortages (because of Demand). You will find that if federally legal, you are going to find out its no different then Canada, over regulated, under performing industry with continued prohibition, with pockets of dry states and state decriminalization like New York where there is no Adult Rec sales.
Just something for investors to think about, once these LP's start making Cosmetics and Beer, their competition is no longer other lp'S they become competition of the cosmetics and Big Alcohol companies, at this point seriously they will all be eaten up. no way to compete with Maybeline or Levis.

If you would stop the ridicules future speculation, and over hyped fantasies, and stop saying in so many words that you are making a killing on rent, not too mention your repetitive over Selling the hold and accumulate game, and tell the truth on how much you have lost in profits using this scheme. maybe if you were honest your fellow investors may give your posts a little credibility in your opinions.
You all are invested in a failed Government sanctioned weed scheme, that was designed to only not fully legalize Pot (As they still call it) but too only allow tight strict and restricted access"Prohibition 2.0". 2nd death in Canada from vape cartridges, you may get some food & drink in October, but not vapes, doesn't matter CBD, THC, or nicotine vapes.
do investors realize that Canadian recreational users don't want, and will not buy low potency Hemp drinks and food !, They want and expect to have access too High THC dried cannabis. when you say extract we want Hash and RSO, not 1 LP has said anything of this.
All my opinion
B.C. government bans cannabis promotion of any kind at liquor-licensed venues and events
I told investors years ago, you are invested in a Government Scheme, none of this is legalization, overly Strict and disruptive market = continued prohibition and discriminatory against consumers. If LP's can't sell at social events where alcohol is sold it is prohibition, if a user can't use the products at social events where alcohol is used its still illegal, and if it can't be distributed at a wedding where a alcohol license is valid, there is NO LEGAL CANNABIS IN CANADA.
The liquor and cannabis regulation branch has sent an explicit message against the co-use of alcohol and cannabis.
"Cannabis promotion of any kind on licensed premises or at an event held under a special event permit is prohibited," the branch stated in a policy directive today.
It means that there can be no promotion of cannabis not only when there's also a special event licence, but also in connection with liquor licence holders in the following categories:
* catering;
* food primary;
* liquor primary;
* manufacturer;
* licensed retail store;
* u-brew and u-vin;
* and wine store and special wine store.
This directive has been issued just over a month before cannabis edibles, extracts, and topicals will become legal in Canada.
The liquor and cannabis regulation branch is part of the Ministry of Attorney General. It supervises more than 10,000 licensed establishments and more than 25,000 licensed events per year in B.C.
Its public-safety mission includes promoting safe establishments and safe communities, and minimizing the health and social harms of liquor and cannabis.
Part of its public-interest mission is to help licence holders succeed and to enable vibrant liquor and cannabis industries.

UPDATE: Ontario judge freezes cannabis retail licensing process amid legal challenges.
This has nothing to do with illegal cannabis, illegal storefronts, and has everything to do with denying legitimate businesses who won the Cannabis Retail lottery legally and fair and square but denied a licensed (too sell Tweeds weed I might add) so a fat wallet Hexo, or LP sponsored chain can have a 3rd or 4th license. Ontario retail licenses are now on hold at what 26 stores, Tweed and the LP's won't see any added revenue, until all these legal challenges are righted. My advice to investors, Get Out of the Canadian cannabis market, you are going to lose your shirts.
An Ontario judge has frozen the province's cannabis retail licensing process for at least two weeks.
Twelve of the original 42 winners of the Aug. 20 lottery draw were disqualified for failing to submit all the required application materials within five business days of the results and one voluntarily withdrew. All 13 were replaced by names from regional wait lists across the province.
All but one of those disqualified for not filing applications on time filed a legal challenge of that decision earlier this week requesting the licencing process be frozen until their case can be heard.Justice David L. Corbett of Ontario Divisional Court issued a preliminary decision Thursday to freeze the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) review process.

Spurned pot shop hopefuls going to court to challenge cannabis store lottery
Investors bias and determination to convince yourselves your investment is safe, are totally missing the fact that legal Cannabis in Ontario is a failure, if not in the whole country, Legal BC stores are losing money even though they only have 4 stores, and now Retailers are suing Ontario Governments crown corporation for fair Business access too what should be a free and fair market not just for a Government sanctioned monopoly. Investors better hope the US federally legalizes and soon, because these court cases will take years, I know Allard took 3 years to secure my grow license.
"It is our position that our clients fully complied with the rules and all required documentation was submitted on time," he said. "The issues in this matter have the potential to wreak havoc with the lottery system.
"It is our hope that common sense will prevail and at some point there will be a meaningful dialogue to resolve the issues. In the meantime, we have had no choice but to file an action requesting that the lottery system be put on hold for now."

Edibles Regulations to be Challenged in Canadian Court
The last Legality Investors should be worried about is a restriction on vapor products, There are multiple court challenges beginning, on Ontario Retail Lottery, Gray market Medical Dispensaries legality, and a court challenge on the 10mg THC limit, on "edibles, extracts and concentrates. If a Judge places a injunction like in past, it will put a Hold on these products.
Lawyer John Conroy, who has been at the heart of several major Canadian cannabis legalization cases, including the Allard decision, said his next constitutional challenge will be the federal government’s regulations on edibles, extracts, and topicals.
Conroy says the edibles-package limit of 10 mg THC was far too little for medical consumers—who do not have access to edibles directly from the LPs they’re required to buy from.

This is misinformation, in Canada it is prohibited to put alcohol in to any Cannabis beverage, and it is a violation of the Cannabis Act to market, promote, advertise, or be sponsored by any alcohol companies, brands, or products. Cannabis regulation also states no Alcohol companies can own more then 50% share in a Canadian weed company, so until cannabis is federally legal in the US your investment is strictly regulated through a Canadian government cannabis scheme, that is what you are invested in. BTW Government also prohibits any added sugar or artificial flavoring, as well cannabis products can't have any Caffeine, so after October, all LP's will be selling is non-alcoholic, sugar free, bland tasting beverages (can't call it beer) and decaf bland tasting coffee and tea. Understand what you own.
Outdoor grow is usually defined from thaw too first frost, as well as decreased daylight for flowering. But each strain can have different harvest days, any where from 60-90 days + dying & curing + processing,
extraction, formulation and addition too products, you are looking at 5-6 months to market for every single plant. You are located in South Central US, think about Atlantic City as Southeast, they have frost in November, and snow too March. Example, Bruce bought 160 acres of land in mid Saskatchewan, where first frost is in September and Thaw in May. considering Tweed didn't get their license for this land to late June, you will not see much weed come from this this year.
You can not compare these Southwestern states numbers and statistics too any numbers from the rest of North America, these states have year round outdoor grow seasons and cannabis populations double then any other north of the 44th parallel. Acreage and Canopy are north, Way north, with barely 1 outdoor grow cycle, and Greenhouse that have to be heated and large electricity bills from running lights in the winter. Weed/CBD being growing in Canada and northeastern US will never amount too anywhere close to your vision of putting it into every product available know to man, cars, cosmetic, drugs, houses, fuel, food, vapes, dog treats, paper etc. This kind of hype is why the sheeples will dump their money into this stock tomorrow, and 2 days later the Share price is down 10%. Understand the business you "own".
CGC can't even make a profit when they are receiving millions in government subsidies from Canadian Taxpayers, now this should be concerning to shareholders. The risk in weed stocks continue to rise daily with Bad news.
Government subsidizing big cannabis at expense of its people, say opposition
"Bit worrisome I guess. It's the third one, in recent memory, totalling $130 million," said Lloyd Parrott, PC MHA for Terra Nova and critic for the department, of the deal.
This latest deal follows the same model for cannabis production and sales with Biome Grow, which can keep up to $52 million, and Canopy Growth, which can keep up to $40 million.
"You're looking at $130 million taken out of the provincial economy that could be used for other services, for education, health care, our seniors," Dinn said, with Parrott echoing that sentiment.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/newfoundland-labrador/nl-cannabis-subsidies-opposition-1.5272086?fbclid=IwAR3hZZuWt-dwEU0yL5RjVal6kF6b_l0QU-PIZHkorPGwjOPy49t7gMDSfI0
Flower Shortage! Colorado’s bud-supply is dangerously low, and some in the industry say it’s not likely to change
Concentrates, edibles in high supply - but flower is running dry
NO, The US is having the same supply issues, and recalls for Pesticides. As well there is no legal rec market in New York for Acreage, only Medical sales.
If you’ve noticed the cost and availability of flower going up at your local cannabis dispensary, it isn’t because they’re trying to squeeze you for more cash. It isn’t because they got greedy and decided to jack with the prices of their products.
It’s because Colorado is in the midst of a state-wide flower shortage. A problem that has gotten so serious in the last few months, that at some dispensaries in Denver, customers have to pre order their flower; at others, flower has been pulled from the shelves completely.

Yes correct Daily Trading, one thing I have noticed is Cannabis stocks are simply a dumping ground of investor money, when the general market is down, money is pouring to the cannabis sector (Up) the next day the general market is up, all that Short investment money Leaves weed stocks and is reinvested in whatever stocks that are making a profit,
Weed Stocks sink, with new lows. Vicious Circle, a product of fat wallet greedy corporations with no loyalty to anything but their bank account.
The slowing of production and changing of priorities is not what investors should be worried about, The fact investors have to find out through media or social media, should be very concerning. Only 2 small news announcements, and the one just after ridicules Revenue losses, Canopy donated over a $100,000 of you investment money, this is defiantly no longer a Transparent and up front company anymore.
Problem is all these weed corporations have made many promises, expectations and agreements (Deals) to supply Hemp for every single product available from making CBD drinks to clothing and cosmetics, and will never be able too grow enough in North America when half of our countries get barely 1 outdoor grow cycle, and the cost of growing indoors for 8 months of the year. This is why the price per gram will continue to rise, yes they have a huge inventory now but that will disappear very quick trying put 3 or 4 grams into 5 million bottles of hemp beer, a billion tubes of acne cream, and million Martha's muffins. So it only stand to reason they have to use a Synthetic alternative too spending 4 months growing a plant.

CGC throwing away business, because they are not increasing production after Bruce's termination. so much for scaling Tweed, so where will your investment money be going now, to the debt Bruce left behind I would guess.
Last week, Mohawk Council of Kahnawake representatives announced, “While discussions were proceeding smoothly, following a change in leadership Canopy Growth has informed us that it has decided not to move forward with the project as it is no longer looking to grow its production capacity at this time.”

Is Sundial not a CGC brand?, it use to be, be very careful using any cannabis that you buy at a legal store and can not see when you buy.
Half-ton of Sundial’s pot returned due to mould, rubber bits: Report
Alberta pot producer Sundial Growers has come under fire after it allegedly sold contaminated cannabis to a partner company. A MarketWatch report citing sources familiar with the matter says licensed producer Zenabis Global returned half a ton of marijuana to Sundial after finding the batch was contaminated with mould, bits of rubber gloves and other non-cannabis material. Zenabis disclosed in its quarterly results Wednesday that it returned 554 kilograms of cannabis to an unnamed third party after it found it was "not saleable." Sundial debuted on the Nasdaq earlier this month.

If you think its any different in Canada where it is "Legal" you are sadly mistaken, In most provinces cannabis use whether smoking or ingest-able is prohibited in public, this includes everything from concerts and Amusement parks to Condos and rental apartments, some not even on your balcony. Canadian Cannabis smokers still have to sneak down a ally for a quick toke and hope they don't get a fine or harassed. And don't think Edibles, Drinks, and extracts to be any different, expect even more strict regulation. If one has to sneak around and continue to worry about using legal weed, there is no incentive or reason for the user to buy legally, when they can go to their dealers house and buy and smoke all they want.
Quebec Announces Rigid Regulations on Edibles Ahead of Federal Legalization
n June, the Canadian department of health released federal regulations for cannabis edibles, ostensibly legalized when the country’s voters authorized legalization last fall. Not everyone was pleased with Health Canada’s new rules, which instituted a maximum of 10 milligrams of THC per packaged product, and banned added sugars, sweeteners, and colors. “They’re proposing that we sell sand,” said Vancouver dispensary owner Jessika Villano when a draft of the regulations was made public in February.
But if people are unhappy with the strict federal regulations, one can only imagine how edible-loving Quebecers feel this week. On Wednesday, the state government announced its own regulations, and they turned out to be even more stringent. La Belle Province will not be allowing the sale of any sweet cannabis edibles at all. Add to that this think-of-the-children catch-all: no sale of “any other product that is attractive to minors.”
Other regulations include a cap of five milligrams of THC per solid cannabis product unit, a 10 milligram cap per package of solid product, and a five milligram cap per package of liquid product. Edibles are set to be legalized nationwide on October 17, but will likely not appear in retail outlets until mid-December, as estimated by Health Canada. Fines for cannabis producers who violate these guidelines range from $5,000 to $500,000, according to Quebec’s 2018 Cannabis Regulation Act.
Officials have stated that the limits on flavoring, color, and dosage are due to concern that children could unwittingly ingest products that look and taste similar to candy. Since last year, government authorities have been warning that regulations will be designed to protect kids. Studies that show rising rates of accidental cannabis ingestion among children in states that have had legal marijuana for years, such as Colorado, have been used as justification for the policies.
Health Canada stated in its announcement of the new regulations that they would allow for “a broad diversity of cannabis products, which will help displace the illegal market.” Availability of the products required by consumers is of big concern in the country, where it’s been found that secondary market cannabis retails for half the price of federally legal wares.
That very point is why many have had their hackles raised by rules on maximum THC content in products. Some medical users require large doses of the cannabinoid to get through their day — as high as 1,000 milligrams of THC on a daily basis. The amount of product they would have to buy to ingest their cannabis under the new regulations is prohibitive. The amount of packaging alone constitutes somewhat of an environmental nightmare.
The Quebec government says that it based the new rules on feedback it got from Canadians during a two month period of public consultation between December of last year and February. Federal government authorities have released educational materials cautioning cannabis consumers to “start low, go slow,” when it comes to their THC ingestion — in their view, beginning usage with products that contain 2.5 milligrams of THC or less, or “1 or 2 puffs of a vape or joint.”

Cuomo signs legislation decriminalizing marijuana use in NY
This is the reason, Acreage is based in New York, NY didn't legalize cannabis, they decriminalized down to a fine based punishment for possession , but still remains a criminal offense to grow, sell, or distribute recreational cannabis. I don't know about medical access in NY, but that will be all for acreages Revenue is what ever NY allows medically.
ALBANY, N.Y. (WHEC) — Gov. Andrew Cuomo has signed legislation decriminalizing marijuana use in New York state.
The legislation reduces the penalty for unlawful possession of marijuana to a violation punishable by a fine for possession of any amount of marijuana under two ounces. The penalty is $50 for possessing less than an ounce of pot or a maximum of $200 for one to two ounces.
It also creates a process for people who have been convicted for possessing small amounts of marijuana to have their records expunged.
"Communities of color have been disproportionately impacted by laws governing marijuana for far too long, and today we are ending this injustice once and for all," Cuomo said in a statement. "By providing individuals who have suffered the consequences of an unfair marijuana conviction with a path to have their records expunged and by reducing draconian penalties, we are taking a critical step forward in addressing a broken and discriminatory criminal justice process."
State lawmakers considered legalizing marijuana for recreational use this year, but that legislation stalled.
The law takes effect 30 days from Monday.

FYI CGC and LP sales for June (your next quarter) are flat and stagnate again and their has been no increased what so ever except in the amount of unprocessed, unusable inventory which equals 31 times the amount sold in June, These are no where close to investor claims that sales will be in the billions LOL.
(2/2) The amount of finished and unfinished dried #cannabis in inventory at the end of June 2019 was 31 times the amount sold across the country for that month. #CDNCannabisReg

LOL you where right, Tweed is worth $17 not a penny more and most likely much less, bring on the $5 & $2 shares, Tweed is 3/4 of the way down, Banks went to zero in the 2007-2008 recession, and this time it is going to be worse. As well Legal Cannabis in Canada is a utter failure, retail is closing around the country because LPs still only have 20% of the market, to put it simple, LP weed is over priced, over regulated, low quality, and of little variety. So all profits wiped out from $70 all the way down, and now its eating away at the investment money you have in these fat wallet weed corporations, Thumbs Up to ALL.
