Hi all,
Just catching up on the latest chatter. I may be new to investing, but I have some experience in heavy equipment, so I will try to answer some of the questions asked.
Why didn't they go with the company that Mik pointed out?
One, they may not deal with on highway trucks. I could have missed it, but I didn't see any in their product lineup. Two, AmeraMex may have outbid any other local businesses. Lee already stated he went with the Chinese manufacturer because they were significantly cheaper.
Who will do the modifications to the trucks?
I know for a fact that the big names in heavy equipment offer standard packages for the equipment they sell to make them compatible with the environment they will operate in. Anything from high altitudes, to freezing temperatures, to desert conditions. I don't know who this Chinese manufacturer is, but if they sell internationally, I can almost guarantee they offer these packages for their products as well.
Drawings and manuals in other languages? Anyone think Caterpillar doesn't offer service and operator manuals in any of the know languages in the world? If your dealing on an international level, this is a non issue in this day and age.
And finally, against my better judgment, I will reply to Jeff's comment that none of us expected the price to drop this much. I was lucky enough to buy in the sub penny range, but averaged up, buying clear up to .032, betting the deal would go through before now. I am not yet in the red, but it's close and I have lost almost all the gains I had originally. I can't speak for everyone here, but I had no doubt we would take a beating if the Niger deal was delayed further. I actually expected worse. Just remember, the numbers in your portfolio are just numbers. They don't become real until you sell. I have already disclosed that I am fairly new to trading on the OTC, so take my opinion for whatever it's worth. Either ride it out or sell. You have to decide for yourself. But me personally, I'm holding.
Hi Born,
I think Lee does a great job when it comes to making connections and arranging deals, but I don't think they were aware of all the nuances of financing and all the potential effects of the volatility you mentioned. I think the fact they have 2 people working for them in Niger now is the result of those past experiences.
As always, JMHO
Not at all. Most of us come and go. I know I don't post much, but I do like to jump on and read the chatter once in a while. You have kept the board going when no one else has. I appreciate that. Thanks.
Hi Born,
I get e-mails from Ameramex every time they have an update. The e-mails are just copies of the news releases and have mentioned the Niger deal many times. I truly believe the delays and other deals that fell through in the past are simply the result of them being naive as to how business is conducted overseas. I think they have used those past failures as learning opportunities which is why they are confident the other deals in the works will go through much quicker once the Niger deal is complete.
As always, JMHO
Hang in there guys. I hate seeing the PPS at this level, but sometimes you just have to quit watching the day to day action and just let it play out till we get news. We know at the very least we have financials in less than 3 weeks. That should be some very good news. And the Niger deal has got to be getting close.
Hang in there Born. I share your frustration. Unfortunately, it's probably going to be this way until the deal is completed.
I only have a a little over a year with AMMX, but I'm not selling either and am here for the long run as well
Agreed.
I never bothered posting about any stock until I came across this board. A lot of people here got in when it was still in the trips. If they want to sell and move on, there is nothing wrong with taking profits. I wish everyone one well and future success. Just my opinion, but I don't think Mr Hamre and company would intentionally mislead us. Even if you are not a fully reporting company, I think you still get put in jail for intentionally misleading people for the purpose of manipulating a stock price. I think they are trying hard to expand into the international market, but were probably a bit naive on doing business in Niger. I do believe this deal will come to fruition in time. I like Mik. He seems like a great guy and I might be on the naive side (please don't take this as a personal attack if you're still reading the board), but I really don't know what kind of proof they could possibly offer. I don't believe you can make legal contracts public and if you believe they are the type to intentionally mislead people, would you really believe anything they put out there?
As always, JMHO
I agree. We'll get there and beyond. IMHO
Greetings co AmeraMex owners,
A lot of chatter on the board today. More good news. Maybe not happening as fast as we like, but good news nonetheless. I think this deal has probably been a great learning experience for them as they navigate the hurdles of doing business in Niger. These lessons should make future contracts much easier to complete. Not to mention the relationships Mr. Hamre has established. And we certainly can't forget the core business which is doing great as well. I think this company has a bright future and I'm glad I got the chance to take part in it.
All IMHO of course
That could be too. Either way, it's nice to see AMMX get the attention
I haven't seen anything yet. I'm not sure why the sudden interest. Unless people are getting nervous about waiting any longer to jump in.
Seeing some good upward movement this morning.
Getting really exciting. They acquired used equip with a value of 2.5 Mil retail that we know will sale as soon as it's ready due to the demand. We are in the zone for completion of the Niger deal, and it sounds like we are going to get an update here fairly soon.
Excellent. Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
No worries guys. The company web site is up and fine - http://www.hamreequipment.com/
It's the investor site that's down - http://www.ammx.net/
Manhattanman e-mailed Marty earlier. She said they are having some sort of DNS issue.
Good to know. Thanks for the update!
Hi kahuna,
The company web site is up - http://www.hamreequipment.com/
But the investor site is currently down or, at least I can't get to it either. Maybe they giving it a makeover with all that new revenue.
Greetings all,
Just got back from vacation and trying to catching up. Looks like the core business is doing well. An additional 1.6 Mil in August, plus all the equipment that has been rented out and we are that much closer to the $200+ Mil. contract being finalized. Looking really good here.
I see Jeff is still here too. Oh well, can't have everything I guess.
Yup, I'm sure there are successful traders out there who go strictly by the technicals. But if you never look at the fundamentals of what you're investing in, you could be missing out on some great opportunities.
This does not imply by any means that Jeff knows what he's doing at the technical level though.
imho
WOW!!! Jeff,
Thanks for that link....
A snap opinion poll. With no data as to how many people, who they are, or why they hold the opinion they do. I think that's a great way to determine which stocks I should buy and which I should sell.
I think that would be a great way to celebrate his birthday.
I think it is possible the deal could be completed sooner. I would imagine at this point they were getting tired of people asking "when" non-stop. The 6-8 week estimate could have been to get people to leave them alone until it's done. Never know
Hey Jeff,
While you're looking at that all seeing, all knowing chart of yours, could you tell me what the Illinois lottery numbers are for this Saturday. You call that one and I will be a believer for life
Or maybe it can only predict doom and is unable to see any great events coming in the future?
There are no guarantees in life of course, but I really like our odds here
I think AmeraMex will complete the $200+ million deal, uplist to the OTCQX, complete other large contracts shortly after, all the while continuing to increase profits in their core business.
jmho, good luck
Thanks Moras,
Always enjoy your insight. And to everyone else here who contributes as well. Great group of people here.
I wouldn't give Jeff too much credit. I could sit on the message board of almost any stock and predict a dip month after month and be right eventually
Hi all,
Born, hope everything is going ok with the family.
No real surprise here. The combination of the delay and, as Moras puts it, the Summer Doldrums ,the stock price was bound to take a hit. It only takes one or two impatient stock holders to take the price down. But the core business is great, the company is profitable and growing, and the big contracts are still in the works.
I have waited over a year now. Manhattanman has been waiting over 4 years (correct me if I'm wrong). I think we can give them another 6-8 weeks
Getting closer. Can't wait.
Hi Tango,
I haven't sent any e-mails to her. Probably way behind though since she just got back yesterday. Anybody out there get any replies that contain any updates?
It would be interesting to see if it stays there if someone had the funds to test it. Even a smaller order might do it. You never know though. I can't imagine selling at this point, but it could be someone getting impatient.
Hi Born,
Still here, patiently waiting. I try to check in from time to time
Hey Mik,
I second what Moras is saying. I don't post often, but I enjoy getting on IHUB when I can and seeing what everyone is up to and thinking. I would hate to see you go. Don't let this guy and people like him get to you. Just imagine if he did short this stock and then imagine what happens when the price spikes and he has to cover.
Yes, I hope this isn't his day job. He hasn't gotten one right yet.
Someone on the board also mentioned Ramadan holiday as another possible delay. Sorry, I can't remember who called that one, but another good call as well!
Good call investor229!
Great news. Can't wait to watch the show once everything is complete.
Whatever his purpose, in the end, it won't matter.
I've held this stock for over a year now. Never bothered to watch it much until now. I know we have had some conservative estimates of .10 to .15 once the news hits, but I've seen runs a whole lot higher on penny stocks that had nothing this good going for them. Certainly nothing that has the potential this company does.
There are no guarantees of course, but I believe it is going to be exciting to watch.
**AMMX**
Everyone has their theory as to why Jeff's here. I personally think he knows as well as any of us the potential here for Ameramex.
He posts here several times a day. Never replies to any questions directed at him. Admittedly it's mostly the same thing over and over again with minor variations, but why does he spend so much time here? I believe he is hoping his repeatedly inaccurate posts will keep the stock price from going up or even maybe drive it down some so he can accumulate as much of it as he can before the big announcement.
IMHO **AMMX**
You bet. Wait and see what happens when they make that announcement. Every day brings us one day closer.
Has to be coming any time now. It will be a lot of fun to watch when it's announced. Can't wait. AMMX
Hello co-owners of AMMX,
LOL, good call Mik, I think your probably right.
