Agreed 100%. Either way works for me. I don’t know why, I just like the idea of ALKM out right acquiring companies!
Just curious, what leads you to believe this was a merger and not a buyout?
“A merger involves the mutual decision of two companies to combine and become one entity; it can be seen as a decision made by two "equals". ... A takeover, or acquisition, on the other hand, is characterized by the purchase of a smaller company by a much larger one.”
Typically a merger would not lead one entity to refer to the other as a subsidiary. However a buyout would lead to that reference as accurate.
I realize this is splitting hairs, but I am just wondering if I missed a reference somewhere.
It doesn’t matter? One instance is COMPLETELY out of the hands of the company!
Least intelligent statement I have read on IHUB.
The company has been giving updates based upon what the auditors are telling them, please enlighten the board as to how that is a lie?
It makes them look foolish and out of control, I will give you that, but absolutely not liars.
Is the company refusing to release them? Or is the auditing company not complete with the review?
Blatant lies there, as neither of us know for sure
Bid on 16 growing. Best accumulation I have seen in a very long time
Do you also feel that the separate entities that are currently selling product with the “Powered By Alkame” logo are also elaborate ruses?
I have been to the Kona Gold warehouse/headquarters and spoke with their CEO. I can assure you, it was all real, and the product is fantastic.
Alkame has a legit patent with real products on the market.
Actually, it was listed yesterday under ticker PURA. Posted AGAIN this morning under ALKM.
Again, this is odd and an off normal, hence my post.
I am failing to see where the confusion lies as I made the post as simple to follow as I could.
My point was simply that as we all know, Eakle has stated numerous times that no PRs would be released by ALKM until the financials were completed. So was this the first step in the rollout process?
The news out today for PURA shows up as being published by ALKM.
In the past it has shown up as published by PURA but has mentioned ALKM and therefore tags ALKM in the process. This looks different to me.
Is this the first step of the news push for ALKM? And if it is, does this mean that fins are finally done and in the process of being submitted?
Here’s to hoping.
From the 1/18 PR:
Puration is the sole licensee to U.S. Patent No. 9,199,960, entitled "METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING HERBACEOUS PLANT MATERIALS INCLUDING THE CANNABIS PLANT." The license permits Puration to produce cannabis extracts for infusion into recreational, fitness wellness, alternative medicine and beauty products.
I don’t believe the extraction process is ALKM’s, but the water side definitely is.
Bottom line is you either believe the CEO or you don’t. It is simple logic, no twisting of words required.
Uplisting requires AUDITED financials. Meaning it is an outside entity, and the timeframe is largely completely out of the hands of the CEO.
Unfortunately, that can be extremely difficult to accomplish depending on how “clean” of a shell it was before Clark purchased it for Kona Gold.
So again, your previous comments about a random poster stating “sub penny” and the CEO formally stating that the company is working towards uplisting as being the same is baseless and nonsensical.
PRs issues by the CEO are considered misleading to you then? So all of the statements made by Robert Clark have been fallacy? I must be dreaming then with this Kona Gold Energy drink in my hand.
Best of luck with that
Looks like my VATE shares freed up today from E*TRADE! One more great example (said before, but worth repeating) of how Robert Clark is one of the few CEOs in the OTC market truly looking out for the shareholders.
I would be shocked to hear if they didn’t have that planned! Robert Eakle and ALKM management have done a terrific job in brainstorming various ways in which to utilize this tech. Thinking outside of the box is something that not everyone is capable of doing, so I am thrilled to be backing a team that can accomplish just that!
Again, thank you for the work on summarizing this information. It really is amazing to see just how much info/products there is in the Alkame realm.
Excellent Summary of the facts for ALKM. I was a little sad to not see more about Highdrate, especially with the news out this morning of increased sales and distribution. Overall, fantastic job, hope this helps clear a lot of the confusion.
Excellent news out!!
Have they released a date yet for the event? As investors, that sounds like a business write off vacation to me!
That is a fact. Just can’t wait for the financials and PRs to start rolling
Maybe we are splitting hairs here.... but you do realize that a wholly owned subsidiary is far better than a merger, right?
And this was clarified by the CEO on Facebook 14 weeks ago, that Bell was in fact wholly owned by Alkame Holdings.
So definitely not new as of April
Eakle has stated Bell is a wholly owned subsidiary.
What is a 'Wholly Owned Subsidiary'
A wholly owned subsidiary is a company whose common stock is 100% owned by another company, the parent company. Whereas a company can become a wholly owned subsidiary through an acquisition by the parent company or having been spun off from the parent company, a regular subsidiary is 51 to 99% owned by the parent company. When lower costs and risks are desirable or when it is not possible to obtain complete or majority control, the parent company might introduce an affiliate, associate or associate company in which it would own a minority stake.
Why would anyone merge with an entity they already own?
Old post on FB by our CEO:
https://ibb.co/hbikyn
Eakle has already publicly stated on FB that Bell is a wholly owned subsidiary.
All revenues by Bell are going to be reported on Alkame’s bottom line.
No need for a merger here because we already own them!
I can’t wait for the influx of revenues/business ventures from this subsidiary to finally be shown in PRs.
Please keep up the fantastic DD, the challenge here seems to be getting the entire info at the hands of new investors and make it manageable to understand. The sheer volume of info available is stunning.
Great post. Well stated. Many continue to miss this simple fact.
Yeah, releasing financials and getting current typically does make the stock price tank. Don’t you just hate it when companies file and become transparent!? I am sure your logic is spot on with that call.
Best of luck!
18s up and thin. Looking great here
The amount of shares being offered at 14 is also breath taking... I can’t believe some people are still willing to part with their shares given the info available and timeframe we are now dealing with.
Just seems crazy to me
Bid is again growing and ask is shrinking... might turn out to be a close today.
Ask is steadily growing at 16... going to be a LOT of “regerts”once the Fins/News drops.... which could be any day now!
14s almost gone and the company hasn’t released the financials or company news/updates yet... going to be interesting to see just how high ALKM can run
Interesting stuff... I guess this Highdrate drink I am sipping on with the logo “Powered by Alkame” is just Hype as well?
Best tasting Hype I have ever had! I highly recommend you try this hype along with everyone else who reads this... it is fantastic!
Less than 10M on the Ask at 12.. wouldn’t be surprised to see them fall before the close
Sorry everyone, posted to wrong board
Huge volume spike.....the kind you might see right before leaked financials?
Looking forward to seeing more of what you have found!
I did notice the Alkame Medical, but haven’t found enough info to come to that conclusion... can’t wait to see what I have missed and know why you see this as being their biggest asset, which is saying a lot!
I am really looking forward to this ride!
CEO previously stated that no updates will be given until Fins are ready.... the new website updates show info that the board may have already know about (thanks Hatter) but the company had not previously acknowledged. IMO, this is the clearest sign yet that Financials will be released shortly.
Anyone know how long Alkame water been sold on Jet.com?
Isn’t Jet.com owned by Wal-Mart?
There were 2 codes, one for the Kona Gold products and one for the Highdrate drinks.
Both codes were posted on their respective Facebook pages.
Both Kona Gold and Highdrate products are on sale for 20% off today,420!
Stock up and support the company!
Strong and growing sales/revenue.
Retirement of 160M shares.
Revenue from crypto currency mining.
Showing ownership of ~35% of VAT$.
How can anyone NOT love the direction of this company?!
Sorry, the link worked for me with no issues, I didn’t think there would be an issue. Here is the article:
“How cannabis has blown the doors off the enhanced water segment - NPD trends
By Tom Vierhile, Innovation Insights Director at GlobalData | 19 April 2018
As the legalisation of cannabis sweeps across the US, enhanced water producers are getting very excited
As the legalisation of cannabis sweeps across the US, enhanced water producers are getting very excited
Few ingredients in the natural and organic industry have generated as much buzz as CBD (cannabidiol). Naturally occurring in cannabis plants and renowned for its exhaustive list of health properties, this controversial chemical compound is starting to inspire a wave of innovation in enhanced waters.
CBD is one of nearly 90 different phytocannabinoids that naturally occur in cannabis, offering a glimpse of how prolific the chemistry is for the cannabis plant. CBD is typically harvested from hemp, which contains little or no THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the psychoactive chemical naturally found in marijuana.
Hemp and marijuana both come from the same plant species, cannabis sativa. The major difference between the two is that the THC content for hemp is generally 0.3% or below, which is too little to make one 'high', while it may be as much as 30% for marijuana. As such, CBD is either entirely free of THC or only contains a negligible amount of the chemical. Because of this, CBD derived from hemp is widely available for sale throughout the US, although the legality of the hemp-derived CBD may vary from state to state.
CBD is believed to have a number of positive health properties but, because these properties have not been scientifically validated, product marketers cannot claim that CBD can cure specific ailments. Doing so could constitute an unproven health claim, so product marketers tend to make more general claims. Companies are likely to talk about the high antioxidant content of CBD or couch health claims in 'structure and function' language. Doing so insinuates that CBD may benefit cognitive function, modulate stress and anxiety levels, help fight inflammation, reduce the perception of pain and improve mood.
It may be a while before drinks companies can get specific about what CBD actually does, but some innovators are already walking the tightrope. California-based Endo Brands maintains that its CBD-fortified Endo water product is "neuro protectant", anti-inflammatory and eases anxiety and stress while helping to improve sleep. Endo water consists of pH-balanced water infused with hemp oil that is processed using nanotechnology - something common with a number of new CBD enhanced waters. This technology is said to produce CBD particles one-millionth of their normal size so they can be absorbed more easily by the body. Endo is one of the first flavoured CBD waters, debuting in four variants; berry acai, lemon-lime, cucumber and watermelon.
Also new and from the flavoured school is HighDrate CBD flavoured energy water, touted as a "healthier way to being more productive every day". Targeting a niche within a niche within a niche, this water is described as "premium oxygenated alkaline" water featuring "Alkame technology" and 10mg of CBD per bottle for good measure. Tropical coconut, Georgia peach, kiwi-strawberry and watermelon are the four available flavours for this US launch from Florida-based Kona Gold.
Not to be left out of the CBD water trend, the UK recently saw what was claimed to be the "first spring water in Europe that is infused with cannabidiol oil". Naturally-hydrating and claiming to "taste great" Love Hemp water is spring water infused with CBD hemp droplets. Offering "health and wellness for the mind and body", Love Hemp touts its CBD oil ingredient as being able to ease anxiety as well as improve cognitive function. New from London-based Love Hemp Water, the product is expected to cash in on the booming market for cannabis oil in the UK. According to Love Hemp Water, cannabis oil use in the UK doubled between 2016 and 2017.
Another CBD-enhanced water brands to keep an eye on is CBD Living Water, a nano-amplified powerful hydration beverage. The drink takes CBD and other nutrients (like d-ribose, coenzyme Q10, and methyl B12) and uses a process featuring nanotechnology to shrink the particles down to a size that increases bioavailability so they immediately penetrate into cells. The particles are encapsulated in what is called a "water cluster". The drink is marketed by US-based CBD Living Water and a single 16.9oz bottle retails for US$7.99, considerably more expensive than a "regular" bottle of water. CBD infusion apparently comes at a high price, as CBD enhanced water is at the very high-end of the premium price scale for bottled water.
Kind Water is CBD- and terpene-infused pure alkaline water from the California-based company of the same name. CBD is processed together with terpenes using "patented technology that significantly increases bioavailability" - a common theme with CBD functional waters. Terpenes are hydrocarbons produced by plants and are said to have "demonstrated consistent and measurable health benefits". Alpha pinene, limonene and linalool are the terpenes found in this new functional water, all occurring naturally in plants ranging from conifer trees to citrus fruits to mint.
CBD water has strong potential to attract consumer attention given the buzz around medical marijuana and various chemical derivatives from hemp and cannabis. Even so, it is unlikely that consumers are completely up-to-speed on CBD or its health benefits. That's why CBD-enhanced water marketers often ask consumers to "do their own research" on CBD.
The good news is that if CBD really does deliver on its purported health benefits, these benefits align well with the health-related issues that consumers say they're worried about. According to GlobalData's 2017 Q1 consumer survey, 75% of global consumers say they are concerned about stress, and 65% say they're concerned about insomnia - two key health issues targeted with CBD-infused enhanced waters.
The enhanced water segment is a fragmented market that is increasingly open to innovation. According to GlobalData market analysis, the five leading enhanced water brand-owners accounted for over an 80% share of the global enhanced water market as recently as 2011. By 2016, that grip had loosened to the point where these companies controlled just over 70% of the market.
An influx of innovative products from smaller beverage companies willing to bet on a controversial ingredient like CBD will likely continue this fragmentation trend.”
I can’t take credit for finding this article, but a great read and talks about Highdrate!
