another great article.
http://www.investors.com/news/technology/amazon-taps-solar-ipo-for-install-follows-apple-google-tesla-greenery/
Amazon.com (AMZN) tapped year-old IPO Sunworks (SUNW) to install 1 megawatt in rooftop solar on its Reno, Nev., and Windsor, Conn., fulfillment facilities, Sunworks said Thursday, prompting its shares to lift to a 12-week high.
Sunworks stock flew as much as 24%, but ended trading on the stock market today up 9.8% to 2.59. Before Thursday's rise, Sunworks stock was down 39% this year and remains below its March 4, 2015, initial public offering price of 3.
IBD's 20-company Energy-Solar industry group, too, has suffered this year and is down 46%. Over 26 weeks, it has plunged from No. 32 out of 197 groups tracked to No. 196. It's led by First Solar (FSLR), SolarCity (SCTY) and SunPower (SPWR).
But that doesn't mean tech giants like Apple (AAPL), Alphabet (GOOGL) and Tesla Motors (TSLA) aren't embracing a greener path. Apple made headlines in February 2015 with an $850 million plan to build a 1,300-acre solar farm in Monterey County, Calif., to fuel its California operations.
Google has signed contracts to buy more than 2.2 gigawatts of green energy. And Tesla is trying to buy "cousin" company SolarCity -- an action that has garnered mixed investor views.

Amazon, Apple, Alphabet and Tesla aren't the only firms looking to turn over a greener leaf. A PricewaterhouseCooper's survey this year found that 72% of billion-dollar-sales companies are looking to install solar in the next 18 months.
IBD'S TAKE: Amazon has been hitting record highs for much of the year, and it's set up a shop as an IBD Leaderboard stock. The ever-changing list currently has 11 members, plus a 12th company that's a short-sale pick.
Sunworks' contract will run 12 weeks through October, the company said in a news release. Sunworks will provide engineering and technical support, observation and documentation of progress, and on-site services including coordination between vendors with site facilities, operations and safety staffs.
"A company of Amazon's caliber demands the best when partnering on any project," Sunworks CEO Jim Nelson said in the release. "This contract is a testament to the quality of the Sunworks brand in that they chose us to make sure this project is perfect."
I know, but it will come one day...
If the climate is better, we might see another solar run.
It is one of the fastest growing sectors in the next 10 or so years..
Doubling the shareprice to 5 dollars would equal the company doubling its marketsize, that would be like 50million dollar extra here...
Thats a little big expectation not...
Volume is going to touch 3 million in one hour or so, keep the 50 day average up queit good not?
Sure it is, but it could be in the future.
If the discount is big enough... We all know how amazon works towards the distributors :)
Indeed, very good deal they've made there.. Amazon is huge!
They'll be needing a lot of good old Sunworks solarpanel$$$
Booom! Another feel good deal!
Curious what the bears have to say about this!
First post of the day - I see lots of green here in europe, financial market looks good!
Curious what the day'll bring..
Volume a joke:
our 50 day average volume is 182,181 shares
market cap: 47,233,197 $ , share price 1 year average 3 $
that accounts for 546543 $ being trade daily, 1/40th of all shares.
that is not bad, that is just over a month to get the entire pot stirred.
if we put this to a very popular stock:
tesla:
50 day average daily volume : 5,184,269
market cap: 30 billion $, share price 1 year average 200$
that makes for around 1 billion$ being trade everyday.
Tesla even is a very hot share, and everyday 1/30th of its shares are being trade, which is mostly all shares each month.
Sunworks has convertible debt
=> This you should've know whe you've bought the stock.
It made us survive the starting years. It's messy, but it kept us afloat. We would not be here withouth that.
And most importantly he confirmed and clearly identified why, for the most part, retail, institutions and other credible investors are staying away from this ticker as far as they can. He also clearly stated that SUNW is too risky to make it a long-term holding, best suited day-trading and flipping.
=> He as in 'he's opinion', the million of shares hold by institutions claim otherwise. I've already dropped the SUNW name at a friend of me who is one of the man behind Capital @ work, a major private equity manager here. Guess what, he bought himself.
Again, the same opinion, the dilutive part of the 'toxic financing' was messy but with the numbers they put on the table lately, that will be fine.
As I said the jig was up on this company long time ago, and declining share price and lack of activities best confirmation. mark this post, one more toxic financing based purchase and share price is going to implode and will head straight to subpennies. I am suprised considering everything, share price held at above $2. Why do insiders care about share price, they don't own any meaninful amount of shares and the moment they reward themselves free shares, they dump them immidiately imo
=>
-The declining share price: mostly the stocks in general where declining since january first. YOu keep ignoring our facts we set aside each time over and over again. You do not takeup the financial troubles markets gone through, major example given: declining oil prices, which effect all energy stocks in general now. Neither do you look at other solar stocks, which all went down a lot.
- The moment the market goes up like a days ago, our stock rockets with 6% without even one news message.
-Lack of activities: 3 major acquisitions have been made in 2 years, I dont know what you call lack in activity but I can tell you I don't buy a company each year here. Let alone grow the revenue from 0 to what will be 100 million dollars later this year.
-Toxic financing:
This is the part where it gets interesting. Toxic finaning stands for mostly convertible shares being given to shady companies that in return give hard cash. That part was like 3 years ago a fact. Since we are on nasdaq no such thing has been done. There has been a cash equity round at the beginning of our nasdaq story. However we needed that money to buy these 3 companies and more in the future.
The fact that these businesses get paid with cash and one part shares is an option everybody is free to choose in. I think it's a good option, shares do not account for cash being written of the balances directly what gives us more money for buying even more companies.
Last point you've made;
You state that the owners of shares dump them directly into the market, untrue fact, it happened that they did sell a small portion of their shares but they still have most of them. As you can see on the nasdaq website, you will find 2 directors of Sunworks who even bought shares from the company.
Dilution is taking place at every stock, also the big.
Dilution has brought us millions to work with and to buy multiple companies.
It's not dilution that goes straight into the BOD's pockets, so that something completly different.
=>
Even fully diluted this will be at 30million shares (1/3rd more), still nothing.
Our revenue will be way past 100mil dollar/year by then.
If our profits follow too, then I don't see why our shareprice should fall.
We are still undervalued at the moment.
two good quotes from one of the articles:
? Both companies are growing revenue. SUNW is growing revenue massively faster than IMI but on a small revenue base.
? For every $1 in revenue, the stock market prices in $1.48 in market cap for IMI and $0.73 in market cap for SUNW.
Ok, you might be right. Positivism isn't granted to everybody. :)
Then why hold? You dont believe share price will go up.
Theres other things to do with money that are far more profitable short term then just holding on to this then not.
Selling cars for example, made a lot of money with it. Almost everybody can do that.
You guys see how much we depend on the market as a whole part .
Up 6% without any news. Because markets in general are up!
Well, happily then not everybody thinks that way, not many shares will be bought.
Is there a stockyou could recommend to us?
I'm sorry but imo he did more then enough.
I'm listed in a whole bunch of other stocks too...
Uhu, but it just seems that everytime we get good news it is immediatly followed by a new global crises.
What did we have now?
Greece, brexit, debt ceiling, january first,...
list is getting long not :)
Yeah but he is right, the solar sector on its own was 'hyped' a year or two ago.
Hypes pass, come back sometimes.
Meantime we grow, and are getting profitable, which is the most important not?
We all knew this was going to be a long ride. Or did you seriously expect us to stay at around 6$ being a startup?
We'll get back there in time. But for now, the market is still bad in general.
You still see how shivery all traders are...
One brexit, market down
We'll get back!
Its good, its good were not down so much- nasdaq is down 4%.. Thats a lot...
As what a brexit means?
Short term:
Gbp will go down (good for our shops as we import at lower prices now)
The british people that organised the so called brexit, all euro parlementarys, lose their job.
Markets will shake for a few more days, id be sure theyll recover as no real losses are made for now.
Scotland will try to make a new poll about them leaving the uk, they do and did want to be part of the EU.
Lots more...
Long term;
A lot of renegotiations about borders will have to be made again, customs, business etc... We had free travel and pretty much no restrictions travelling between europe and the uk.
A pitty part is that we were able to do someting as tax shopping, as there were interesting rulings in the uk that other parts of europe didnt have. Since there is free travel of persons, goods and trade in the eurozone, that will be made much harder. Both ways. Long term this could harm the uk, as banks for instance are said to be already organising their headquarters to be moved to other places eg frankfurt, paris, my own brussels.
Another thing that could happen is real estate crashes in london, with all the billionaire saudis living there that market is way overpriced, a market that can see volatile future days now. Defenitly since for a lot of people the financial capital of europe will now be less to not interesting and move out of the uk.
I think after all the voting happened ending up in a split is a bad thing. Better together as the usa is, togheteryou are stronger in the end, even if it takes a bumpy ride sometimes.
I think the massive media campaigns of the brexit side focused too much on the foreingers coming into europe from countries as syria. It is a fact off course but most of the media campains used these things too hard to put foreward europe as a bad thing.
Which it is not, it gives us many advantages, specially trading ones that most normal people dont see.
at the ihub moderators, id appreciate you guys would leave some space to discuss this mattern as this does immediatly influences or influenced our stock today.
Hmm, sunw's revenue about to sixfold <3
Not to mention proprietary research support...
Nikolas Tesla, one man army.
Elon Musk...
Einstein...
It doens't always take a bunch of people to change the course of history!
Sometimes you'd just need one man.
Nice post! Glad i'm not into Vsrl ha!
Man, you shouldn't read this board everyday. I stopped doing that long time ago, makes you a happier man. Too much flippo's in here trying to make a score...
It's a good company, everythings going good on the company side...
They'll be profitable this year, story just begins.
booyakasha.
To the bashers: II just invested another 40k € in this stock, lets see who wins x
I'm out. ciaoo
Hey Guys, happy new year to all of you!
Let's all toast tonight to solar3d making it an even better year than 2015!
double the revs, double our wallet!
cheers x
M.
this will be like the pharma industrie in x years!
He did say that they will keep using shares and cash.
So in the future there will be another round. But thats the case with most companies on the stock market, and this is a darn good one, keep that in mind. It's progressive dilution... So not bad at all.
Btw the shareprice really isn't going to keep hanging at these low levels in one year when we're on cruisingspeed.
This is going to be such a big company someone eventually will want to buy it, maybe suncity who knows.
Hopefully by then as in the bio sector now they will give insane amounts to solar companies :)
You call a company that went from having 10 000usd in the banks to a 50million dollar a year revenue company in not even 2 years a scam?
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
K but besides that and someone posted low float of 47mil nothing special?
Divv's where announced way back he...
cheers!
what's the buzz here?
It's these nasty marketmakers playing games all the time.
I feel their breath always when placing small orders...
I hate them.
Wasn't mine btw.
hello? Ellooooo?
Anybody home in america?
whats happening?
Omg, the circus is Back already...
You know what that means.
Nice, thats more than 10 decent nuclear power plants.
They've got the space for it.
Cmon Alex, a little more positive please :)
Who cares about 1-3 million extra shares if there's so much more revenue attatched to that...
If they're going to get this baby flowering like sunworks does...
hmmm, bon appetit!
Powerday!!!
Hi guys, happy Thanksgiving!
Small question, is the market open tomorrow?
Obviously, with a revenue of 19.7 mil + 7 mil elite thats 27mil/quarter.
We could be well above that, it's a growing market.
And with the economy going up again... time for an estimate poll for 2016?
