I agree bio, either one off the licensing deals for each indication or do an all encompassing B platform deal with upfront cash, milestone payments, and share of profits. Haven't other biotechs done this? Isn't that how Pharmacyclics ended up being sold for $21 Billion for the half of their platform they still owned?
Wow he got almost $5mill in shares and he was 2 years......
funny thing is they sold the company for less than $100 a share....after results from their two phase 3 studies they popped to around $150....makes you wonder if the market was wrong or if they just wanted to cash out.
maybe we need to add a comment or two to the article to help clarify for the uninformed...nothing like using research findings to combat rumor or worse
Hey Derek that's funny....newsflash....carmakers don't sell driver training....they sell cars and trucks
Leo and Menon look like hero's compared to those guys....$2 Billion??....versus about $50 million to get us to one or two approved drugs and a third off to a great start...
"Shares of CTI BioPharma fell 40 percent to 30 cents on Wednesday. Combined with a sharp plunge Tuesday on the earlier news of the partial clinical hold, the stock is down about 75 percent this week.
James Bianco remains at the helm of the company founded in 1991.
During a quarter century, it has raised and spent more than $2 billion, according to its latest quarterly report in November. In December, it raised about $50 million more.
But at its current share price, CTI BioPharma’s total market capitalization is only about $92 million."
That's the best and most professional PR I've seen yet with EK and S3D!! Nice to see S3D have such a prominent role in this VMWare production!! Maybe there's still life in this old carcass :)
three and a half years from first clinical trial to FDA approval.....we can only dream.....why was rituximab so much quicker?
Kinds of calls into question Harvard Henry's judgement/forecasting abilities no? Unless like you say there's something unusual in the works...other than its taking us more money to relaunch in Europe than expected....still bugs me they didn't do some research before launching there....another year's time/resources not optimized....
Sure hope it wasn't Pizer who did the pp. Didn't we pay him $2mill and then cancel his contract for non-performance?
Moonshot!!!! Why doesn't Leo get a 1 on 1 meeting with VP Biden and let him know there's a drug available that does what no other drug has been able to do...activate P53 the guardian angel gene. If Biden wants a moonshot candidate there's no better than Kevetrin!!!! Maybe he could secure govt funding for 30 different trials with K to find the secret sauce to cure a great many cancers.....
great post farrell
And we're not done yet!!!!
We could use $100mil research support too.....could somebody with Leo's email pass this along...."The contract is the third to be funded under the resulting new Broad Spectrum Antimicrobials Program led by BARDA. BARDA is seeking additional proposals for broad-spectrum antimicrobials that could potentially treat or prevent illness due to biological threat agents. Proposals are accepted through the Broad Agency Announcement BARDA-CBRN-BAA-11-100-SOL-00009 at www.fbo.gov."
It's pretty clear why Cyrus keeps EK around isn't it.....
I wonder if EK even believes his own BS, or is he just that bad of a manager to ever come close to predicting results with any accuracy. In my company if the CEO was consistently that far off he wouldn't be CEO for long......
Ah yes you are correct farrell. I didn't put the space before 3D (like their logo!!)...i also tried glassware....
After search blanked I did look in the list of 77 enterprise cloud providers and didn't see them there either....
How come Sphere3D isn't listed as a Microsoft partner/recommended supplier? I thought they were in launch mode? Who's in charge of marketing?
If you're putting all your resources into this partnership that's one thing but to not execute is another....
"What is Pinpoint?
Pinpoint connects you with Microsoft recommended solution providers that can provide you with applications and technology solutions for your unique business needs."

giving away 10% of your company for $5 mill in financing seems pretty desperate to me....or am i missing something
I hope you're right, and I really hope we can believe in EK's "starting with a B" comment.....was that a goal or an objective :)
Is Cyrus keeping EK there just long enough so that he can transfer majority ownership to them for pennies on the dollar?
Maybe they're securing grants for B before starting phase 3. Support for antibiotic research continues to increase, just see the recent announcement by the US government almost doubling research grants.
Hope they nail them all to the wall......criminals in suits....
Seems odd... if Novarad abandoned glassware why would they keep a substantial product website promoting it....
novaglass
Wow so we're at Q1/18 for finalizing P3 on B. Maybe I need to turn off computer for a couple of years or so.....
If glassware is widely distributed, and windows users can end end of life, wouldn't that negatively impact microsoft's revenue from upgrades etc?
Unfortunately EK and PT`s mismanagement has played into the hands of shorts. How come they haven`t followed up on their commitment to have the tape business break even in 2015. Since the promise was made very little follow up. Same goes for 160 run rate. Credibility a major issue followed by questionable financing. Will the technology be enough to overcome its mangelers...sorry meant managers.
And I was just joking earlier when I suggested Leo get a cubicle at the FDA with so much going on.....looks like he found someone else (highly qualified) to be there in his place....great move Leo!
I'm not sure why they bury their groundbreaking product GW appliance on page three.....
Great find Slic....I really like the FDA slide 17 which shows only 11 of their fast track approvals were based on phase 1 data. Most had at least phase 2 data, 51 approvals. I wonder what they saw with B and OM patients?!
Sounds like Leo should get an office in the FDA building since he's going to be working with them so closely :) ...on B-OM, K, P etc...
Makes me wonder if there's a Russian connection to the short attack.
It does seem somewhat hard to believe Cyrus put EK in place (given his Overland performance) and apparently still supports him....
"Are we positioning ourselves as a threat to BP by comboing with generics?" I think that's the most likely scenario. Leo/Menon could have chosen any drug, but why give a BP a leg up if they're not willing to pony up the big cash...yet...
found my answer..."Docetaxel is administered via a one-hour infusion every three weeks over ten or more cycles."
Thanks Farma. So Doxatel cycle is only 1 month? Or are multiple cycles given to a patient depending on the severity of their tumor?
After trying so hard to drum him out of the company isn't his "consultant" role more about "testing" MJ rather than developing strategies on how the company taps this new market effectively. Seriously....tax effective payoff? Can't keep you on the board but we'll throw you a bone...just say uncle....
sell lock stock & barrell tomorrow for $15 Bill.....win/win. Obviously wouldn't maximize long term value but i'd take 100x tomorrow rather than wait 10 years for 500x.....
What was the $2mill Crede payout, did I miss something? I thought Crede had a performance based contract....hit sales target get remuneration. Weren't we told the contract was cancelled for non-performance? If so why the big payout?
They will definitely overcome this short term Euro snafu. I must say though I'm a little surprised a great marketer like Harvard Henry with his background in the industry wouldn't have done even a little rudimentary market testing in Europe to gage customer taste before attempting a full roll out.
Great charts Karen....bounce time commences.....
