That's great rock!! good for you I'm still holding some shares. I have no idea on the next distribution my guess was late this year.
Holding SAVE until mid 50s
Lawyers keep talking at 400 an hour... They don't want to settle this one out
really when??
Sold mine a while ago at 18. I'm still holding out to around 11. GE is hurting and lets she when they redo 2016 and 2017 earnings they might get kicked off the SP500. There is no way of figuring out even for day trading what this stock might do.
Stay calm this is normal with AAL stock
Back to the mid-40s, we have seen this a ton of times. We may even see the 30S. Don't hold for some magical high number. Just play the market AAL is great for that. Look at the hight any lows and make money.
lol more like 2021
Why wait? you can make a lot more money selling in the $50s and buying in the $40s. This might not ever get to $65. I learned this the hard way never fall in love with a stock.
My gut says $8.69 will be the low and them maybe a breakup
there is no way GE will be anywhere near 20 this year or next
Back to the mid 40s
I got my Final distribution!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm better than all of you!!! and to make matters even better AAL sent me to much money and said I could keep an extra $10,0000 for there mistake. I only have to send them $4000 back heading to the bank right now!!!. AAL man that company is so stupid. I'm laughing all the way to the bank!!!!
Unless there is a price war in the works then we could be back in the 46 range again. AAL spends 90% of the time in the 40s....
Well they cant make tax codes or laws will talk to an accountant
Sold 4000 shares at 49 and change and Scottrade are showing it a 100% tax event
looking good picked up 4000 shares a few days ago
They're saying since it came from escrow cost basis is 0. So if you bought AAMRq for 10 bucks and sold AAL for 50. 100% is taxed.
Scottrade is saying no... I think they are wrong if they are I will be moving my whole account to Vanguard. Thanks for the info oldnick.
Thanks, that's what I thought how it should be ....
Thanks for contacting the Tax Reporting Department. The cost basis is actually reflecting correctly on this position. The bankruptcy spin-off from AAMRQ to AAL was non-taxable, therefore the original basis and holding period flowed over to the AAL shares received in December 2013. AAMRQ was then liquidated and clients were given escrow shares as a placeholder for possible future distributions. AAMRQ had 4 escrow distributions into AAL, 1 per month in January, February, March, and April of 2014 which will carry a true zero basis. True zero, means that the basis is actually zero and the client will realize a 100% gain on the shares when sold. The tax lots are not incomplete, they were not assigned a value when issued.
Man, that's great!!!!!!!!!
See yaa Ray-ban
just like DAL 710m shares
The buybacks haven't done Sh#t for AAL stock price. If they retire stock that's another thing. Just my.02C
sold some at 49.165
nice move today
You had to put in your request by the deadline 11/1/2017 to get it.
anyone looking to buy today?
I didn't see a huge boycott American Facebook page. I did see one with 850 likes is that it??
bought some more at 48.85
Can read AAL like a book always beats and opens up green. Then always goes red
Cant sell anymore this year or the taxes will kill me.
Think we are at the bottom?
I can't tell he almost held 10% now says like 4%. So did he sell 4% of his stock or reduce his stock holding down to 4%?
Hope the best for you!!! GLTA
I just have a feeling he is selling more. Just my .02C
Buffett’s Airline Exposure Trimmed
According to the 13-F filing by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway in the second quarter, the company reduced its stakes in three major U.S. carriers.
Reportedly, the Omaha, NE-based company reduced its stakes in Delta, American Airlines and United Continental Holdings Inc. UAL by 4.6%, 3.5% and 2.6%, respectively, on a sequential basis.
Moreover, the Oracle of Omaha’s investment in low-cost carrier Southwest Airlines Co. reportedly remained unchanged.
In fact, Buffett is one of the most revered investors of all times and his decision to trim investments in three airline heavyweights also points at the fact that all is not well with this key sector.
Just a hunch with all the airlines going down at the same time makes me think he pulled out. The stocks are returning to their pre-Buffett prices
