The Nuvola Ultra HD device is for 4k. VODwiz is for the existing format of HD.
Standard practice for theatrical bookers is to not have logos on some announcements and items.

I'll keep an eye for the film to play in a theatre in North Hollywood, and take the kids.
All the releasing sites show HH as the US booking agency for Redbull, not as a production company. There's a big difference. That's why the HH logo is not listed with the other producers or film sponsors. As theatrical distributor, HH places the film into theatres for a distribution fee, similar to Freestyle releasing GODS NOT DEAD for Pureflix. All over the trailer for that title it says Pureflix, but it was Freestyle booking theatres and settling the grosses. Last money in, first money out. Better business model IMHO.

Agreed.
Disagree with the opinion that offering less is better than offering everything. There's already several VOD sites offering less. What is the incentive to drive traffic to VODWIZ unless they do something bigger and better than the other sites? Will most money happen from the top 20% of releases? Probably. But having the biggest tent is what will attract traffic, IMO
Ouch. That's 3% MORE into the float, and seems like bad timing. Has the company announced something about this? Is there a promotional IR group to support it?
That's the same case that was resolved by HH and blogged on Sept. 16. Looks like the creditor attempted to collect from a random bank that the company doesn't work with before the case was resolved. Beat that horse, Beat that horse, Beat it and try to make it come to life!
The document was dated before they posted about having resolved the claim. Document was dated Sept. 15, blog post was Sept. 16. Such a small amount, who cares anyway?
Exciting new Yoga and lifestyle products from Gaiam are featured in the new fall catalog, now in direct mail release. With the nation moving towards fitness and lifestyle trends, it's no surprise that GAIA revenues keep growing!
Hanover MOUSE! The greatest complement possible is to compare Hanover to Disney. It's the only accurate statement I've read from one particular highly-frequent poster. http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/House_of_Mouse
Video Store is the industry bible, now rechristened Home Media in order to cover broader product categories. www.HomeMediaMagazine.com
I recommend Hanover do a sales deal with Eastern Star for animation. They have 100+ titles with limited reach to retail stores (mostly direct mail sales). http://animeworld.com/companies/easternstar.html
Not that reality matters to some, and I'm definitely not currently a big Parkinson fan. But to attack his work ethic or veracity is pure BS. Video Store magazine listed him as one of the top home video executives of all time, with over 100 gold or platinum awards and many top sellers. I think he needs more soldiers on staff because he's dropping some balls in trying to run HHS with a big vision and tiny team.
Sneaks will never be same if LGF pulls off this Fathom Events preview trick. I don't know if it's brilliant or not, but instead of offering free tickets to a sneak-peek to build consumer buzz, LGF is selling tickets for screenings of Addicted a day before the general release?
Those freakin' zombies just will not die.
Another UP day in GAIA Paradise!
I've seen this El Cid feature. It's very well done, but completely unknown to the US market. Disney, Fox and Warners passed on it back in 2004 because of their own competitive releases. But I think it would be a really good start for Hanover to get into the single most lucrative category. As for how many views the English trailer has generated, I think a better gauge is that the film grossed $2.9-m in Spain at the box office, then sold 500,000 videos. If Hanover could do those exact results in a market that's 20-X larger than Spain, they would be adding about $8-mm to their revenues.

Parkinson is unstoppable when he's focused. I saw him speak at the VSDA in 1995. The audience gasped when he presented the argument for creating the sellthrough video market. Disney and Warners mimicked his plan within months, and the industry doubled in revenues to $10-B. Maybe the new HHS staff will enable big-picture priorities to finally be addressed. Guess we'll know from results.
Welcome to the GAIA board. I am pleased to be the first IHUB moderator for this impressive company. I have followed Gaiam through the years, beginning with my yoga routines and expanding my interest when they began to venture into other consumer product categories. My day job is freelance work as an animation designer and producer, and I reside in SoCal, NOHO. As I find and learn news on GAIA, I will post it here.
Funny link I found when trying to find sales reports for the Hemdale animated films:
http://dailygrindhouse.com/thewire/dawn-director-planet-apes-matt-reeves-film-mr-petrified-forrest/
Another immediate $100-m pop for Hannover would be to repeat the Hemdale model that Parkinson pioneered in the 1990's of Animated features. I can see that horror and genre DVD titles are currently a core business for the company. But it seems like pocket-change compared to what family appeal animation can generate. Hemdale had three #1 national best-sellers that were animated features. I would like to encourage HHSE managers to pursue this category. No, an animated Terminator is not family appeal IMHO. This company has great potential and I think they are one title away from great success.

GAIA makes it easy. Step One: buy some GAIA. Step Two: go on a vaction or just enjoy life. Step Three: reap huge gains as the GAIA PPS keeps on truckin' without any of the chatboard drama and shenanigans. They JUST DO IT, and beat the heck out of pretty much any other investment vehicle.
LOL, funny comment from brokerage house about GAIA and IHUB. I asked why he thought that no one on IHUB was following or commenting on GAIA. He laughed and said that 99% of IHUB followers are wankers that can't afford a $8-stock. After reading some of the baloney on other boards, I am inclined to agree.
Hannover House inherited a lot of debt from Empire and Houndog. Then they just about tanked entirely with the 12 release. But you have to admire their integrity and tenacity. They paid off an Empire judgment? Seems like they have been digging their way out of prior mistakes and moving in a good direction. http://hannoverhousemovies.blogspot.com/2014/09/update-to-prior-blog-about-false.html
TORA TORA TORA! HD credit card hack is super-scary to consumers, myself included.
Great poster. Can LGF hit $250-m with the new Hunger Games Mockingjay? I bet YES.
GAME.CHANGER. Serious Exec Star Power, connections, expertise, track-record. Time to get serious about NTEK.
KA-CHING! GAIA marches to the bank with steady PPS growth!
The more I learn about Redbull, the more I'm excited for HHSE. This is a major partnership alliance.
http://www.spiegel.de/fotostrecke/photo-gallery-red-bull-s-total-marketing-fotostrecke-62062.html
I think the Redbull partnership with Hanover deserves a major press release instead of a blog. Redbull is a multibillion dollar company with huge media interests.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redbull
Nice get for Hanover with Redbulls On any Sunday film. That's a franchise filmmaker and a huge theatrical release. The reality is that HHSE has one amazing acquisition after another; the fiction is when the liars throw tantrums and then try to paint down the PPS. One day, somebody like Marc Cuban is going to place a market-order for 25-million shares of HHSE and put a stop to the lunactic fringe.
Would be nice to know the requirements for NASDAQ. Hanover definitely should not be on the OTC pinksheets. If they already are registering the shares, then a leap up to NASDAQ seems obtainable.
Did not see that EOne deal coming for LGF. I'm more impressed with EOne for this renewal than Lionsgate. Not that its not good for LGF, just that the LGF product line is several steps above most of the EOne stuff.
Love this stock. They don't IR, they just do it. Up 2% today, and its not even lunch yet. Good focus on profitable product lines, but still agile to add or subtract items as sales change.
Very good HHSE news: http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/HHSE/news/New-Staffers-for-Hannover-House-to-Support-Accounting--VODwiz--Internet-and-Sales-Activities?id=87165&b=y
Hanover can leap forward with some support for managements vision. First hire of Sims was impressive, now they have soldiers and are on the march!
Major vision, stifled resources. Back in the day, Parkinson was unstoppable at Hemdale Films. He pretty much invented sell through video pricing and turned that company into a major player. Watching him try to implement his NASDAQ level vision at HHS is like watching Mario Andretti in a gocart. I think HHS should either get the tools to succeed with this big vision or scale down to fit the resources. So much potential, so frustrating to watch at times. Why are they ignoring animation? Hemdale had two or three top hits with animated features. I think a whale investor or a good animated feature could take Hanover to the next level.
Any one ask HHS management about animated features (and I mean Disney-Pixar-style, not stop-motion as was Toys in the Attic)? Parents love them because the kids watch repeatedly, stores give ani-titles support, seems like the most reliable genre to pursue. Just one theatrical animated title could break a hundred-mill at theaters. Should be considered, IMHO.
Apparently, the director is also a WME client, that's the connection to Samuel Jackson.
Great idea to reboot this proven SAW franchise. EXP3 underperformed, Twilight is over and Hunger Games is about to end. If they can jumpstart Tyler Perry to do another Madea that audiences respond to it will be a full LGF reboot. Keep telling management to take a look at the big box office being generated from family animated features. Anyone listening?
