Our day will come, punditry notwithstanding!
13 plus is a joy to behold!
Interesting CML science, but mentioning only Epizyme, next target after Ariad.

Nice EPZM mention here
http://medicalxpress.com/news/2016-09-prospect-shorter-treatment-chronic-myelogenous.htmlice Epizyme mention here:
I didn't say this; but, "I love it when a plan comes together". As far as those short, it reminds me of another media quote, "If god did not want them sheared, he would not have made them sheep".
BWTAL
You bet your bippy it is!
Thanks AK....
But wouldn't you think the great showing for Brig might have already been factored into the calculations of the shorts?
Hmmmmm..... Short interest up!
CML developments:
http://medicalxpress.com/news/2016-06-scientists-drugs-achilles-heel-chronic.html
At the bottom of the article:
"Current therapy for CML is with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) which effectively hold back the disease, but do not cure it. If the therapy is stopped, the leukaemia relapses in the majority of patients, requiring CML patients to remain on treatment for their lifetime. These drugs, as well as being costly to administer, can cause a number of side effects including diabetes and vascular problems. It is the dual issues of cost and toxicity in current CML treatment that has driven this particular piece of research."
For what.... indeed!
Unfortunately, understanding and sharing reasonable insights into the business and the science is not good enough.
Short interest up a very little:
to 29,982,619 from 29,976,600
Transparency is a good thing. Short interest pubishes next Tuesday. Should be good news for longs like me.
Traded a small amount here, but long term STML looks interesting.
Interesting play here for the long term. Very good technology with a lot of prospects for them and licensing.
I think their technology looks promising; therefore, I'm contemplating a small stake, besides bouncing in and out with trading shares.
Shire gets Baxalta.....

Short shares as of 12/31/15 release tomorrow!
According to the Nasdaq calendar, short interst will be updated tomorrow.

I know I vowed not to post again, my hopes for a positive outcome here outweighs my frustration with some posts here; and the decision to deletion some posts.
Wow... pointing out the target increase is off topic.... so long 4-ever!
Then again if I wanted to shower some easy cash on a buddy, a CEO appointment would be the way to do it.
I thought Denner put forth a candidate to replace HB. I'm wondering about the length of time to appoint someone versus a buyout. If I was a BP interested in purchasing Ariad, I would almost prefer not having to buy off another executive. Is this a nice negotiating point to use with any potential suiter or am I wrong?
My biggest fear would be an announcement that the company is being taken private. Where would you do something like that is something someone here could maybe weigh in on.
And... a thrill-a-minute ride in the paddy if you're up to it.
I would watch for Denner getting the increased shares he wanted, or more!
Interesting science and FGR1

Damn.... wish I would have bought a few trading shares yesterday. Well, no big deal; my core is intact. Glad to see this resolved without a big waste of money, guns, and lawyers. That being said, thank you HB. You made the right decision in the end!
Did any of us really expect HB to just walk away! This is his baby; however, his baby is grown up. It's time that HB cash in and move out. I've worked at a few electronic start-ups. I've seen this kind-of thing before. Some leaders are bad because they just don't know when to call it a career and move on. This will certainly be an interesting story we can all learn from!
I'm in agreement. I'm thinking a 4+3/4 on Fridays close. About $35.00/share. If it's more fantastic; if it's half-that, no big deal.
I agree that when, and now if, us shareholders get to vote HB out, we should!
Maybe insight into the new molecule?
You just proclaimed him gone in a year. I just don't get your obsession with saying this stuff.
Well Rum.....
I do see a difference between people grasping at explanations to make sense of a situation versus someone just making proclamations as if they are factual. I'm interested in information. I don't really post that much, as most here know. Yes, people are emotional about their investments. Still though how does repetitively repeating 21 VPs and on and on add any new information.
BR... would you please stop just throwing this [insert expletive] against the wall in the hopes something will stick. It just adds no value to this board!
I thought that before the crash HB did show interest in a buyout along certain lines. I remember talk about a takeover similar to another with a standstill agreement. Yes, things have changed since then; however, this is the most likely future imho!
Attached is a link to the cancer story news spot I mentioned early this morning. If you look closely at the medicine bottle, it says Ariad on it!
http://wgntv.com/2015/01/08/cracking-the-code-of-cancer-cells/
The 9:00pm central time news on WGN Chicago had a NSLC patient story on according to my wife. They took her cancer cells into a petri dish and identified the best drug for her. She said it turned out to be 113. The bottle was displayed and she could see Ariad Pharmaceuticals on it. I was too busy to get to see it, but I'm going to search their web site for it later.
Cheers!
Folks...
I know you all consider this some sort of epic battle between who is the better prognosticator for the future of Ariad, but really? These things are never black & White. There are many shades of gray as to what happens if and when this or what happens if and when that. Please don't turn this into a YMB of tit for tat opinions. please try to relay information and research and minimize the guessing!
