Thanks Donkschmonk and Pete Mann.
You've encouraged me to go to the S3D website and read the published white papers, case studies, slide shows etc re full disclosure on true DD vs. half facts and lots of fiction continuously posted here re the early days.
WAs it Maquesno or somebody else who recently reminded us its not how you start its about how you finish.
What I'm reading about GW 2.0, V3 VDI, DCO doesn't resemble the tripe posted here by the usual suspects. Only full disclosure is at Sphere3D.com and great tweets you've pointed me to by @CloudProphet.
Excited about the VMware Partnership, Entisy360, and OpusBank.
Stuck my head up to breathe after all the homework you pointed me to. Lots more to do but feeling better already gents. Hate the share price but the shorts will play with their friends to get their wts. repriced May 30th?
Oh well that'll get them lots of upside with the ongoing turn, nice profit spread for them to be had on the bounce back. Maybe even loan their shares out for beaucoup interest off their "short brethren"?
Just got your text to check out the other videos and slides by Mark Watts of Novarad and more tweets by @CloudProphet Jaymes Davis.
That's a real boost to my confidence. I just need to be more patient and ignore the hooey posted here by paid bashers.
Lots of wknd reading. Love what I see so far. Much obliged gents. Below is amazing.

Novarad Showcases Updated VDI and VNA Storyboarding at HIMSS 2016
Novarad exhibited its latest advancements in virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) at the Healthcare Information and Management System (HIMSS) conference and exhibition, along with California-based technology company, Sphere 3D, Corp.
“We want practitioners to leave with actionable recommendations for changing their operations,” said Paul Shumway, senior vice president of Novarad. “Being independently owned, we’re in a position to listen to providers and implement the things they ask for into our products, which is why we’re offering new software licensing in our NovaGlass VDI, and patient storyboarding into the Universal Viewer.”
Novarad’s VDI, NovaGlass, now includes Remote Desktop Session Host (RDSH) from the same server as the virtual desktop. NovaGlass was built not only to virtualize any desktop environment or application, but to increase speed and performance while doing so.
The application is scalable and can handle anywhere from a few to a few thousand users. Additionally, as part of its vendor neutral archive, Novarad’s Universal Viewer now includes patient storyboarding, or the ability for a user to see all of a patient’s details, such as the treatment they previously received and what he or she should be expecting as the next step in their care continuum.
This aspect of the Universal Viewer enables a greater understanding of a patient’s care needs and helps the clinician to tell a full story.
Sphere 3D, an important partner, exhibited in the Novarad HIMSS booth for the first time, and exhibited some of its recently announced new product families, including the latest enhancements to its Glassware 2.0 containerization technology and V3 VDI solutions.
“Novarad shares our view that a vertical based cloud computing approach is a must for in the healthcare industry,” said Peter Bookman, Global Strategist at Sphere 3D said, “With that in mind, together we are introducing new levels of flexibility in virtualization that can drive healthcare IT transformation.
Healthcare facilities that are seeking to quickly modernize their business applications and mobilize their workforces will truly be surprised with the simplicity and cost structure of our combined solutions.”

"Financing was obviously subject to credit and collateral approval by Opus. This speaks volumes in regards to sphere's pipeline. 1.5M in warrants at $1.30 on 20M ain't too shabby. Should get interesting after Q2."
Unless you're SABBY.
I'm just a simple man and had a beer!
Well this blog by Mark Watts of Novarad really bits ol Derek32 and Hugo in the azz let alone Hugo's employer.
Thank you for kindly bringing it to my and everybody's attention.
Roses are red Derek is blue
Hugo's employers are really screwed!
IMHO of course.
Sing with me.... ICE Tea Baby. Ice Tea baby
Hahaha desperate times calls for desperate measures. There are no shares to cover because of things like this however love seeing somebody's employer trying harder with their games this morning.
1st there was the 104,000 which showed up on the offer at $1.40 then the offer that went underneath at $1.38 and then the one that tapped down to $1.35 and then and then. Are these guys walking the price down selling from the left hand to the right hand and back? Well a fund has to lock in the lowest price possible for their March 31 Reporting Deadline and thus have to continue with the games to suck paper out from the uneducated and employ people here whose name(s) shall not be mentioned.
Pretty hard not to accumulate here from desperate short entity which in my humble non qualified non professional personal opinion is: ##### not yet , but stay tuned to re the identity of somebody's employer here

Why VMware's Project Enzo and Citrix CWC are bringing real business value to VDI. http://bit.ly/22S0eMH
Jaymes Davis has been involved with providing solutions and technical expertise in the computer industry since 1996 specializing in fringe technologies and Advanced computer sciences
Then there's the last part of the Mark Watts Blog on Sphere's website:
All of a sudden, we had a much broader product than just PACS. We were a means of providing virtualization of all apps for our customers. NovaGlass was born. NovaGlass provides a portal where a health care institutions’ users can access a Windows desktop, our NovaPACS and any other apps required by that user.
Here are some benefits:
Virtualize Windows Desktops. We use Sphere 3D’s V3 VDI solution to provide the desktops in the cloud for our customers, at a lower cost than traditional VDI solutions, and in any configuration required, private, public or hybrid and to any device. It’s truly a have your cake and eat it too solution.
Virtualize Hard to Virtualize Apps. We use Sphere 3D’s Glassware 2.0 to consolidate all apps for our customers onto one platform and to provide the apps in the cloud. This is a have your cake and eat it too solution.
The combination of the aforementioned benefits with a compelling, lower cost than alternative solutions, is truly exciting. Novarad can single-handedly bring our customers into the cloud era with NovaGlass.

From a friend of mine.... http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/any/short-interest
Looking at Short interest. Kinda bullish trend ongoing re short position ongoing decline, except for you and Derek maintaining your short positions "eh" Hugo.
10/30/2015 2,499,177 short interest was the high water mark from the table with 398,830 avg daily vol and 6.266271 days to cover.
The last report for 2/29/2016 showing the short interest as 1,403,781 on avg daily volume 219,383 and look at that days to cover is 6.398768.
Oh well hope it would be 9 days +
Sure get a lot of clarity trying to follow cryptic 140 character tweets back and fro. NOT!
But you keep making it up providing your version of clarity for the rest of us.
Good grief. Get a life.
Hi Donk I made a pt to find out more about this twitter issue that Strut brought up after Hugo did already like 3 wks ago. Old news! Guess they're running out of material. I can understand the effort by Hugo and Derek but not you Strut bringing up irrelevant stuff as usually you do make some good pts. Donk is indeed telling you like it is Strut as I actually spoke to some of those tweeting shareholders who roll their eyes at assumptions made that they didn't act on their own. So much a do about nothing.
Strut I'm hugely underwater on ANY but keeping the faith. If you lost a lot of money why not look for new investment ideas to make it back rather than trolling this stock forum like HUGO and Derek do?
Derek was apparently spurned by them and as we've subsequently learned here which explains his personal axe to grind. I put more credence in a rumor about him having had a short lived stay with VMware. Did they hire him and he was spending all his time here? Too funny! HUGO well he doesn't deny that he is paid to be here but come on Strut , this is just unhealthy for you, nothing to gain, you're a good guy. I don't disagree with comments you've made on EK or PT, this stuff is just plain silly.
As to Derek, I was given and found some great reads and now I know his schtick and so should you. What a great walk thru these provided.
Observations on Derek from various source(s):
DS is he simply a fear monger who intentionally misleads, misrepresents and and spreads FUD? Like the topic of mobile devices re security in the medical services sector : Medical patient admin, data security blabla. ...well the Anthem breach Derek references here:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=121172966 …
and here
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=120947513
… was not due to lack of encryption but stolen login credentials,
http://www.scmagazine.com/anthem-breach-sparks-discourse-on-encryption/article/396989/ … ,
https://www.technologyreview.com/s/535111/encryption-wouldnt-have-stopped-anthems-data-breach/ … .
Also it is false that "The #1 cause of HIPAA data breaches is mobile devices" at least in 2015 http://healthitsecurity.com/news/majority-of-2015-healthcare-data-breaches-due-to-it-hacking …
Love DS propensity to find old articles, old info and keep banging a drum as if it was yesterday. Past is the past all about moving fwd.
Can't argue on this point unless the old adage will soon ring true " that each dog eventually has its day, hence perhaps explains EK wishing to stay until he can exit pointing to a 3-4 consecutive Qtr turnaround that he wants credit for?
Perhaps EK can then resign or take a demotion at least when he can point to a turnaround occurring while he was at the helm and can instead be praised for staying the course and then stepping away while guys like you shredded him? Persevering while under intense criticism, is great to have on his CV. while prior criticism looks indeed justified perhaps that tarnished brush of being a "20 -24 consecutive losing Qtr CEO" is about to be shaken for good? Just sayin'. You and I might hang in as long as we can under similar circumstances too.
Thank you for illustrating why many serious investors of all walks of life and background have given up on this i-Hub forum as intelligent conversation is stunted due to bashers with a hyper critical agenda.

Thank you to the longtime i-Hub forum member who posted these 2-4 weeks ago. Worth re-visiting. So helpful in that they got me looking harder at S3D prior to current flow of announcements. New followers on this forum will learn more from below than those on this forum who continue to look in the rear view mirror. 2014-2015 are done, its about what's happening in 2016 and the road that lies ahead.
I'm so sad there were no shares to borrow that forced a ballpark 150,000 share buy in. Well naugh I'm not sad
Hugo so shares that were issued in the name of V3 were issued at a min $5.23 USD price per share at an xchg rate of $1.00 USD to $1.10 Cdn versus $0.71 per $1 USD today.
I don't care if creditors liquidated those shares that were issued in the name of V3. Are we crystal? Good we're clear!
I suspect that there were V3 shares exchanged for Sphere 3D stock that was personally held by employees/consultants of V3 and they got to keep their new Sphere #d stock issued at $5.23 USD.
All a mute point dude, I suspect that a quality guy like Peter Bookman will have incentive options in Sphere 3D and bonuses upon successful completion of projects he's involved in as this represents a 2nd chance to go big or go home. There is proof of dvlpmts about going big so why don't you just go home.
Going thru the article, the news release and other info I provided off of Linked In which was deleted for whatever reason, I'll take Bookman, Branfitt, prior contracts, product, and product knowledge acquired from V3 any day over the rants and musings of desperate shorts on this forum.
Here it is Sphere 3D M&A on V3 Systems
Hugo Hugo I see today kinda shocked and rocked some of your short brethren's cazbah. Even if its only short term made my day watching the forced buy in occur.
Like an old song.."Sharif, Derek, and Hugo don't like it, rock the Cazbah! Great song! Shook my head at those of you boys forced to cover. Bring the army on Monday. Meanwhile smiled the whole final 30 minutes of trading as volume popped from what 64K to 200K volume.
Hope you rally the troops on Monday , well I lie, and that possible news next week makes it dicey for you bad ol boys.
Now lets go back in time for this NR on V3 Acquisition. Wow it was closed in the short period that the CDN dollar was more than a wee bit higher then vs only $0.71 US today. Great timing for Sphere 3D and a potential share price floor of $5.23 USD. Talk about timing.
Sphere 3D to Acquire V3 Systems February 11, 2014 18:45 ET
Strong Strategic Fit; Extends Existing Capabilities In Virtualization Platform Management, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Desktop as a Service and the Mobile Workspace
Sphere 3D Corporation MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Feb. 11, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE)
-- Sphere 3D Corporation (TSX-V:ANY) (OTCQX:SPIHF) ("Sphere 3D" or the "Company"), a virtualization technology solution provider making it possible for incompatible devices and applications to run over the cloud, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire V3 Systems, Inc. ("V3" or "V3 Systems")
Founded in 2010 and based in Salt Lake City, Utah, V3 is a technology leader in desktop cloud management solutions. V3 is the creator of the Desktop Cloud Orchestrator™ ("DCO") software, which allows administrators to manage local, cloud hosted, or hybrid virtual desktop deployments and the V3 Appliance; a series of purpose-built, compact, efficient and easy-to-manage servers.
As a VMware OEM embedded partner, V3 has revolutionized the speed, ease of use, deployment and even the data center required for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). V3 has won numerous awards including a DEMOgod™ Award, Best Startup Company at the Best of INTEROP 2012, and a Utah Innovation Award in 2013. The V3 customer list includes the FBI, U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Naval Academy, University of Texas, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Children's Hospital of Alabama, among others.
"This acquisition will quickly add breadth to our overall product portfolio, and fast tracks our transition to commercial operations with accretive revenue from day one," said Sphere 3D's CEO Peter Tassiopoulos "The V3 executive and Sphere 3D team share a vision of anywhere, anytime computing. Through this acquisition we will be able to accelerate on the delivery of that vision"
Sphere 3D has been working closely with V3 for several months and commenced shipping of V3 Appliances to customers in January 2014. Sphere 3D and its global licensee, Overland Storage Inc. (Nasdaq:OVRL), have expanded their relationship to include the V3 offering and will embed some of Overland's award winning Network Assisted Storage (NAS) and Clustered Storage technology within the product suite to create new Software Defined Storage capability. Overland will deliver both the Sphere 3D and V3 products through Overland's extensive global network of channel partners and service providers.
"Sphere 3D's ground-breaking work in virtualizing and delivering applications coupled with V3's high-performance virtual desktops and management tools will create a new product category within the end user computing industry," said V3 Systems' CEO Ric Lindstrom. "Bringing together the two technologies will provide a true contextual desktop and application experience. We expect this combination will offer a very compelling solution to customers in sectors such as financial services, government, education, and healthcare."
Utilizing the V3 DCO software, a desktop administrator or user can synchronize their images to images being hosted in the cloud, allowing for easy and simple fail-over and service levels that enhance performance, security, up-time, and a host of other desirable features which are prohibitively expensive or impossible when compared to physical desktop deployment implementations, traditional data as a service (DaaS), or even VDI.
The V3 Appliance is a purpose built server designed for easy deployment and support. Seamless data center integration is accomplished by housing every system and software-critical component within the V3 Appliance, for a solution that can be implemented out-of-the-box. With substantially less hardware to support and the ability to perform distributed deployment of virtual desktops through a single user-friendly interface, the simplicity of the V3 architecture translates into minimal IT management. Organizations can deploy anywhere from 50 to thousands of virtual desktops by deploying additional V3 Appliances into server racks, providing for ease of scalability.
"We founded V3 Systems to address performance bottlenecks inherent in legacy on premise and cloud-based VDI deployments," said V3 Systems founder and Chief Scientific Officer, Peter Bookman. "Speed is a funny thing...you never know you need it until you experience it, and then you can't live without it. V3 Systems continues to lead the way in providing the best computing experience possible. This relationship will ensure continual thought leadership in breaking down barriers to this level of end user computing."
Terms and Closing
Sphere 3D and V3 have entered into an Asset Purchase Agreement, whereby a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sphere 3D will acquire all the assets, including patents, trademarks and other intellectual property, as well as customer lists, contracts and other operating agreements of V3 Systems. In addition, all key employees of V3 Systems will join Sphere 3D on closing.
On closing, Sphere 3D will satisfy the purchase price of USD $9.7 million by payment of USD $4.0 million in cash (less any amounts received on an interim basis prior to closing) and the issuance of 1,089,867 common shares of Sphere 3D (the "Payment Shares").
The Payment Shares are issued in accordance with TSXV Policy 1.1 at a deemed price of USD $5.23 (based on the current F/X rate of USD $1.00 = CAD $1.105 is CAD $5.80) being the 20-day weighted average share price on December 4, 2013, which was the date the parties executed the Letter of Intent.
In addition, V3 shall be entitled to receive an earn-out, based on achieving certain milestones in revenue and gross margin, of up to a further USD $5.0 million, payable at the option of Sphere 3D in cash or shares (up to a maximum of 1,051,414 common shares), to be priced at the 20-day weighted average trading price preceding the date(s) the earn-out is realized.
The transaction was negotiated at arms-length and no finder's fees will be paid in connection with closing.
The shares are subject to resale restrictions of four months and one day as per applicable Canadian securities laws. In addition, the shares issued as part of this transaction are subject to restrictions in accordance with applicable United States securities laws. In addition, the terms of the Asset Purchase Agreement provide that the Payment Shares cannot be distributed to the shareholders of V3 prior to January 1, 2015 without the consent of Sphere 3D.
The purchase is subject to various pre-closing conditions, including completion of due diligence, financing, receipt of final TSXV approval, and various closing conditions customary of a transaction of this nature. It is anticipated that closing will occur on or about February 28, 2014.
About Sphere 3D Corporation
Sphere 3D Corporation (TSX-V:ANY) (OTCQX:SPIHF) is a Mississauga, Ontario based virtualization technology solution provider whose patent pending Glassware 2.0™ technology makes it possible for incompatible devices and applications to run over the cloud, without sacrificing performance or security. Sphere 3D's Glassware 2.0™ ultra-thin client allows third parties to deliver fully featured products to any cloud-connected device independent of operating system or hardware. For additional information visit www.sphere3d.com or access the Company's public filings at www.sedar.com.
V3 is Sphere 3D and S3D Global Strategist Peter Bookman was co-founder of V3. So why did he and his associate(s) roll into Sphere 3D presumably for equity, at what the $4-$6 range?
Possibly GW and V3 work well together providing a new alternative solution paired up together that players in the VMwareFamily like beside as a stand alone?
Are the 2 products starting to provide a compelling solution that VMware or MSFT like? guess we'll find out over the next 12 mos.
V3 Systems' Role: V3 Systems was acquired by Sphere 3D in March of 2014 for just under $10 million. The thing about V3 Systems that Sphere 3D needed was its leadership and talent in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure architecture and a proven delivery mechanism for their Glassware 2.0 software.
In other words, the appliance that can come pre-installed with either Glassware 2.0 or any other virtualization software or both.
The company was founded by Peter Bookman, who now serves as Sphere 3D's Head of Global Strategy. According to Sphere 3D's press release announcing the acquisition in February 2014:
"Founded in 2010 and based in Salt Lake City, Utah, V3 is a technology leader in desktop cloud management solutions. V3 is the creator of the Desktop Cloud Orchestrator ("DCO") software, which allows administrators to manage local, cloud hosted, or hybrid virtual desktop deployments and the V3 Appliance ; a series of purpose-built, compact, efficient and easy-to-manage servers.
As a VMware OEM embedded partner, V3 has revolutionized the speed, ease of use, deployment and even the data center required for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). V3 has won numerous awards including a DEMOgod Award, Best Startup Company at the Best of INTEROP 2012, and a Utah Innovation Award in 2013. The V3 customer list includes the FBI, U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Naval Academy, University of Texas, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Children's Hospital of Alabama, among others."
So V3 Systems provides a key component that allows Sphere 3D to control their future architecture both form a hardware and software perspective, unlike VMware's reliance on Nutanix and recent disappointment with them as a partner
I'm trying to read and learn and share versus believing I know it all and getting up on a soap box here and pontificating sometimes correctly but all too often to unfortunately mislead and confuse.
Imagine to my horror this Novara Big Whig talking about VDI and Glassware on YouTube.
Thought last Qtr was $18.8M an done prior was $18.3M. Am I wrong? Obviously I gotta re=read a bunch but appreciate breakdown of previous 4 Qtrs if you have info. Thx in advance
Already know that Mens+ but that's what?, only 1.5M + another 1.5M shorts covered. What about all your undeclared shorts? Hugo's shorts? Just joshin ya! Nah pokin at ya. Hoping your all wrong going fwd and these guys turn it around. EK should be punted for horrible guidance. As they say...only in America!

2016-02-08 The Fastest Way to Containerize Your Applications, An Interview with Sphere 3D
Sphere 3D stands apart as the provider of Glassware 2.0™, which is the industry’s first Windows containerization technology.
Though the industry has been abuzz with the premise that Linux containers are the new and efficient way to deliver application virtualization, it is often missed that these Linux containers do not apply to the majority of Windows based applications that are in production in corporate IT infrastructures around the world.
Representatives from Sphere 3D will discuss and demonstrate their Glassware 2.0™ technology - A Windows containerization technology that can virtualize 16, 32, and 64-bit Microsoft Windows applications and deliver them with native functionality to most end user devices: Chromebooks, Windows 10 clients, iPads, thin clients, tablets, etc.
Glassware 2.0 uses a container-based approach to application virtualization deployed on servers, coupled with a remote presentation capability, to seamlessly deliver applications to end user computing devices.

Can't disagree with your post. Do you think someone has Cyrus interest at heart more so vs rest of the shareholders if S3D is on the cusp of success vs. failure? Is it now time for someone to push S3D over the edge? Is that what some people here are insinuating or worried about? Simply trying to follow your train of thought.

Who is the evil scribe you mention?
All I know is that its hard to believe that anyone connected to MSFT let alone other people listed below, would endorse Glassware or SnapCloud etc. if they didn't believe it or were't qualified to speak firsthand. I don't know about Mr. Keane in his prior career?
For some reason my prior post with the quotes were deleted so re=posted for those who missed them.
Nicole Herskowitz, Senior Director of Product Marketing for Microsoft Azure: “As the world becomes more mobile and generates significantly more data, enterprises are seeking a mix of cloud and on-premises services that can help them quickly deploy applications and effectively manage all of this data. “Sphere 3D’s solutions extend the capabilities of Azure enabling customers to seamlessly manage apps and data in a hybrid cloud environment.”
Vibhor Kapoor, Director, Microsoft Azure Product Marketing said “By working closely with Sphere 3D, we are able to continue to deliver on that commitment and provide a new level of flexibility for organizations looking for scalable application delivery from the cloud.”
Larry Orecklyn, Microsoft VP and Chief Evangelist: “Sphere 3D is again demonstrating agility, creating exciting hybrid solutions architected to deliver user apps and data on-premises or in the cloud . That is what makes Sphere 3D a great fit with our Azure cloud ecosystem.”
Chris Lwanga, principle PM manager, Microsoft: "Transitioning legacy applications and storage infrastructures not designed for the cloud has become both complicated and expensive for the enterprise. Sphere 3D's 'next cloud' solutions complement the capabilities of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. Customers now have a compelling option for modernizing and mobilizing their existing infrastructure; and they can avoid rip-and-replace scenarios."
Wikibon Sr. Analyst Stu Miniman:"Practitioners in the Wikibon community are in the midst of a challenging time for managing their application portfolio. The opportunities and difficulties of leveraging cloud and mobile technologies puts a strain on IT. According to Wikibon data, Microsoft is the leader in overall public cloud (across the combination of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) and has long been critical to any consideration of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)"."Bringing Glassware 2.0 into the Microsoft Azure Marketplace gives users the performance and flexibility of Sphere 3D's solutions across a broad spectrum of devices and environments and arms users with a powerful tool to deliver their application portfolio."
Eric Kelly, Sphere 3D CEO: "The Microsoft relationship is long term. What rolled out is Phase I. Microsoft sees value on a Global basis. What you see now is just the beginning."
August Calhoun, Ph.D., vice president/general manager, Dell Healthcare and Life Sciences said: “The addition of Sphere 3D’s solutions to Dell DRIVE Plus ensures that we are offering the most robust virtualization experience possible for our EHR customers”. “Through this collaboration with industry leaders we are able to deliver a truly innovative reference architecture for healthcare systems.”
James Townsend: President of Microsoft Gold Partner InfoStrat, “Sphere 3D Virtualization Enables On-Demand Testing for Grades K-12.”

Dustin Hardin, Director of Technology of New Caney ISD, a current Glassware customer said: "We tried traditional virtualization techniques but the specific applications we needed couldn't virtualize or wouldn't scale. With our Glassware 2.0 enabled Dell(TM) server, we were able to virtualize the applications we needed and future proof our investment in Chromebooks for our students."
Jason Katcher, Head of Education and Recruitment Advertising Google: “We see things diff. Leave it there. You sell on past. Others buy for future. Buying more (ANY shares) here. Nice job @Sphere3D on call.”
Jeffrey Schwartz is editor of Redmond magazine and also covers cloud computing for Virtualization Review's Cloud Report. - “A new Microsoft partner, Sphere 3D, is making containers that have fewer dependencies than Docker.”
Laura Didio, highly respected tech reviewer tested GlassWare and said: " it does everything it claims to do. Sphere3D Glassware 2.0 & V3 Appliances are all excellent."
Terri McClure, senior analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group, an IT research firm, observed that Sphere 3D's approach helps customers avoid the tangle of compliance and security issues that can arise when they engage with third parties to build out their hybrid clouds in response to the rise of mobile work style. SnapCLOUD fits the bills, McClure said. With the introduction of the its SnapCLOUD technology, "Sphere 3D appears to be addressing customers' needs to be able to centrally manage and deliver all of their enterprise data, regardless of whether it is on premise, in the cloud, or which device employees prefer to use for work," she asserted.
Deni Connor, a principal analyst with Storage Strategies Now, said Sphere 3D wants to capitalize on the growing trend toward cloud-based file storage. "That gives them a cloud gateway capability so that users can store their data wherever they want. The fact they are allowing file and block access as well as supporting snapshots and replication is important," Connor said.
Roth analyst Krishna Shankar commented, "Following the merger between Overland Storage (OVRL) and Sphere3D, we believe that Sphere3D is making good progress in leveraging its cloud virtualization software and storage/virtualization appliance technology for any application and operating system running on any device including a key partnership with Microsoft's Azure Cloud services."
Simon Bramfitt, CTO at Sphere 3D and Founder of IT consulting firm Entechely Associates, said (even before deciding to join Sphere 3D): "both Glassware and V3 have a genuinely new take on the business of getting Windows applications (Glassware) and Windows desktops (V3) in front of end-users." "Sphere 3D looks poised to create a whole new technology classification with Glassware 2.0, a hyperconverged cloud client app hosting appliance.", "Aside from its being a hardware appliance, it is its inherent simplicity that is Glassware’s first key differentiator.","Glassware’s other big differentiator is its flexibility in distributed and hybrid cloud deployments."," Glassware looks to be a good fit for almost any organization that recognizes it needs an RDSH-style application hosting solution but is unwilling to take on the complexity of current-generation solutions."
Jim Broemmer, CEO at Adams Telephone Co-Operative. “There is a tremendous opportunity in the virtualization market that requires a solution with the right price performance benefits. Sphere 3D’s automated solution allows us to expand our portfolio of offerings to include economically sound virtual desktop and application services to our customers.”
Cyril Pennanech who is responsible for IT services and networking at LISA: “High availability of our storage infrastructure is critical to our research activity and the reason we chose SnapScale. Todd Hartung, vice president of Promark: “End users and IT solutions providers are looking for choices and flexibility as they embrace cloud mobility and the relentless data growth in their environments. Our expanded relationship with Overland Storage and parent company Sphere 3D expands our solution portfolio, delivering more choice to our channel partners and empowering them to meet the expanding IT requirements of end users.”
Mario M. Veljovic, Vice President Solutions MENA at Global Distribution FZE: “Partnering with Overland Storage, with its pioneering technologies, is a great step forward in our Mission. Being among the first to introduce their latest VDI Solutions in the region is a great privilege.”
Mr. Alan Loh, Senior Sales Director at Datum Technology Pte Ltd, a leading enterprise solution value-added distributor (VAD) in Singapore, said, “We were introduced to the V3 VDI hyper-converged appliance at vForum in Singapore and are very excited to have a product like V3 in our portfolio. V3 appliances offer a unique value proposition and remain highly differentiated from traditional converged infrastructure or solutions trying to use clustered storage file systems. Additionally, the added capability of scaling storage separately from desktop computing should create greater flexibility for our customers.”

The Fastest Way to Containerize Your Applications, An Interview with Sphere 3D:

OK so who or why did someone delete the 1st post provided yesterday re pertinent info about how ANY forum Members here can join in on this MSFT-ANY Webinar re merits of Glassware on Azure etc.?
I've re-posted the info from yesterday again below. This is for the benefit of shareholders and tire-kickers coming to the i-HUB ANY Forum to do their due diligence and follow progress or lack thereof in 2016..
Really weird that a moderator or somebody would remove below. Read for yourself. IF i-HUB ANY forum members are welcome to attend then this invite should show up often to remind people repeatedly as the date gets closer. Not removed.

For a guy with no position you sure do "pontificate" here a lot. Is this your job? While 2014, 2015 were no great shakes, yep we all know the stock got smacked, premature rev guidance and all but 3rd year is always the charm. TA chart looks good. IMHO.
Microsoft Personnel & Others on Sphere 3D's Glassware etc
Thank you to the longtime i-Hub forum member who posted these 2-4 weeks ago. Worth re-visiting. So helpful in that they got me looking harder at S3D prior to current flow of announcements. New followers on this forum will learn more from below than those on this forum who continue to look in the rear view mirror. 2014-2015 are done, its about what's happening in 2016 and the road that lies ahead.
